Deb, you have my sincere apologues for not leaving feedback much sooner. I really despise Reality shows but if they were set up like this fic, I would probably give them a go. Especially if the show included Willow and Tara! I love the way you’ve put this together. The ‘Survivor’ parts of the fic are great. You’ve come up with some very neat challenges. (yah for many Willow-friendly puzzle challenges!) When Tara also won the truck I was so excited and happy for her that, for a moment, I completely forgot this is a fic and not actually reality.. haha!!! I’m gonna take a wild guess that Kendra will win but I’d rather it was Tara. She certainly has earned it more than any other player. (Tara’s daughter Ariel is the cutest ever!) Regardless of who gets the cash.. Willow and Tara are the true winners of the show. They’ve won each others hearts and no amount of money can ever compete with that!! Anyhoo.. I’m really enjoying this story, as I do all your fics! Thanks so much and I’m looking forward to the next part!

:bigwave O.k, every time I make a prediction on who's going next, I get it totally wrong so I'm not gonna do that any more! :lol Glad Buffy got voted out. She was begining to bug me with her mean comments. The next visit to the island sounds interesting, I can't wait for that. Hmm what did Will and Tara get up to in the cabin? I love the way you write how it would be broadcasted (even if it is frustrating with the commercials cutting in! J/K! ) Anyway, I'm not gonna make any guesses about who's next! :-D Hope for more soon! Hannah.

Another great update. We get to see Willow and Tara's second island date that was mentioned many updates ago and both Willow and Tara win a car. If neither of them win this whole thing at least they came out of it with new cars. Not too bad at all.

I like how Faith was able to outsmart Buffy twice in the update. With getting her to lose the immunity challenge with her talking to her and then getting her to believe that they were voting Willow off. Faith is probably the best gamer there which should get her to the final two. But I could see her both winning and losing in the end because of it.

I am sure that both WIllow and Tara were not happy with Buffy's comment about paying Tara with the reward. That was a low blow. But I am still wondering what happened with the conversation between Willow and Buffy that you mentioned in a previous update. Are you going to give us an insight into that one?

Another great update and I look forward to the next.

Hey there, Debra. Eeps!! I’m already two updates behind, and looking at the calendar, am about to be three. Where does life go some weeks, I wonder. Coming late to the party, many others have said what I was thinking, but I’ll shoot my two cents in anyway. Reward challenge—nicely done, loved it from beginning to end. It’s so easy to visualise the tasks and the characters’ struggles. I really enjoy not being able to predict the outcome until the event is complete. You have a real knack for catching the moment and keeping the tension throughout, without making it obvious that X character is plotted to win the challenge. Great humour too (Buffy is the Slayer of challenges, indeed /:) ) Nice little triple bonus for Tara: a taste of civilisation, date with Willow, *and* a spiffy new truck. But there’s an added danger for her (potentially). Willow’s lack of hesitation may mean she’s flashed the other players her cards. If the others want to avoid a what’s-his-name/what’s-her-name couple-up, Tara might be forced to do something nasty (and that’s the not nice nasty, btw-lol) to Willow to prove her alliance with F/K is still intact—think I said something earlier about, what price love??? Humm, we shall see. And, as they say, the thot plickens! The W/T scene at the cabin thingy, very nice -- that one little gesture set a nice tone (I'm glad to see the 'shows' working for you.)

Onto game theory... I still think Robin is the next to go. He’s been very quiet, and I can’t help but think about that fire fighter guy who went the entire game without a single vote cast against him. Robin really hasn’t made any enemies, and if the girls vote him out, there’s no one he can finger point to from the jury. Perhaps, from your little teaser…F/K/W will vote off Robin and Tara will be shown to cast her single vote for Willow, as will Robin. Ah, such fun.

Btw, thanks for the FAQ – that helps, a lot. Can’t wait for more.

Cheers!!

Survivor - Ash Island

Postby JustSkipIt » Wed Jun 08, 2005 4:55 am

Hi everyone,
Well according to Rachel it has all caught up with us. We have a fungus on the grass and the guy showed up yesterday and said, “yup. It’s smut.” She was very amused and said should we put up signs and make sure kids don’t play on it but he didn’t get it at all.

truck_driving_magic_mama – Thanks so much. I’m glad you liked the update and that it’s getting so rough out there. You are right: Faith is running the show and she’s playing to win.

I completely agree with you that it would be hard not to try to get rid of Faith because she’s so strong. The problem with that is kind of like when I was a kid. My oldest sister was a real mean kid (she’s a good adult). She always wanted to divide and conquer and she’d say, “Hey Y, let’s pick on X.” If Y said, “you know X and I together are stronger than you so we’ll pick on you” she’d say, “Ok. Hey X, let’s pick on Y!” So you could only team up with her when she picked you and hide when she didn’t. I think that if everyone believes Faith is strong enough, it’s hard to decide to try to get rid of her because what if that puts you on her radar screen? You know?

That said, so far she has not betrayed her primary alliance in the least. Is she scheming? Yes but she’s also being true to T/K. Good guesses and reasoning.

that thing with faith calling and Ariel wanting her to come to Will's bday party, and Will not so sure she'd want that.. I mean, she just seemed kinda reluctant, and I'm thinking it's more from Faith's side than Willow's side, why she doesn't want to.
We’ll see about that. But I don’t think the scene with Willow/Ariel about Faith and the birthday party is more a matter of shock on Willow’s part than it is animosity.

Thanks for the thinking.

irishgrl3 – Yeah. Very action. I actually had to work to get it to what I felt might be an hour so there was a lot of editing by CBS (that’s actually me you know). I agree that the picking Tara was a no brainer for Willow but Buffy was feeling desperate obviously.

Good thinking on the entire next episode and Tara’s feelings, choices stuff. Thanks.

Kajun – Thank you but don’t worry about it. I love the feedback but more important is that you are reading (and hopefully liking it). So that’s another of the “I hate reality TV but love this” camp. Believe me—that is great praise indeed. I’m pleased that you like the challenges. Some are taking from or adapted from actual Survivor challenges. Other’s are original. There are always quite a few puzzles of some sort. Lol about thinking like it was reality. Seriously, could you imagine winning a brand new truck? And still being in the running for a million dollars? Cool huh. Good guesses on Kendra/Tara. I agree that W/T are the true winners. Thanks so much for you comments.

SakuraEtsuko – Hello and Welcome. :wave I’m glad to have you reading. Wonderful that you found us. I’m definitely writing more. I have about 40-45 pages saved up for future updates which is about 5-6 updates ahead. Hopefully at the rate I’m writing I will not run out and will be able to continue to make regular updates until this story is complete. I’m glad you’re enjoying. See the FAQ about the probably update schedule. Thanks for reading and commenting.

willlovestara – Hey there. Lol. I can totally relate. I’m terrible, terrible, terrible about mysteries and guessing. So much so that a basically… don’t. Yes, it was time for Buffy to leave. I don’t think she meant to be so mean about W/T but she didn’t get them and she could see the writing on the wall.

Hmm what did Will and Tara get up to in the cabin?
Interesting question. I wonder if we’ll ever find out. Thanks.

blue eyed girl – Hey there. Thanks. Yes, I’d say that the fish dinner was date #1 and the cabin is date #2. A pretty cool set of dates. Now we have to see if there will be more or if Willow’s visit to Ohio after the premiere is #3. And as you say new cars are nothing to sneeze at.

I like how Faith was able to outsmart Buffy twice in the update.
I guess I hadn’t thought about it that way but you are right. She outsmarts her by shocking her into losing immunity. And she definitely outsmarts her in the end-around.

Want to know a (not) secret? If this were a Harry Potter book, I’d be wearing an enchanted button saying, “my Slayer is Faith!” I love Faith. Always have. Absolutely my favorite Slayer by a lot.

You’re right that Willow and Tara were not happy about Buffy’s comment. Yes, the conversation will be mentioned later on. Thanks.

Patches – I’m sorry but I had to laugh when I read your response. I mean you’re feeling like you’re behind on the feedback? I think you’re anything but. Yes, about to be three if you think of it like that though.
Reward challenge—nicely done, loved it from beginning to end. It’s so easy to visualise the tasks and the characters’ struggles.
I’ll never tire of hearing that I think, mostly because it kind of surprises me. I just try to write what is happening if that makes any sense. So to hear that it works is quite a kick.

without making it obvious that X character is plotted to win the challenge.
I think that in itself is a challenge. At the beginning of my writing process, I sat down and mapped out the entire game. I “rolled the dice” (ok, used a random number generator) to determine who would win ever IC, who would be voted out, and then who would win the RCs. Then I wrote the story around it. So I had to build up the teams and alliances and intricate connections in ways that will make those predetermined outcomes believable without ever losing the mystery for the readers. My long-winded point is that I’m glad it sounds like that is working. Phew.

You are right about the danger to W/T. Both are still playing a game as are everyone else on the island.

Shows! Definitely working and thank you.

I can’t help but think about that fire fighter guy who went the entire game without a single vote cast against him.
Ok, did you watch the entire season? I can’t think of a single tribe that deserved to lose to that guy more. They never never never made a serious run at getting rid of him despite the fact that he so dominated it. But as you say, Robin is definitely dangerous and he knows that as well as everyone else.

Glad the FAQ is helpful. I wish I had done it earlier.

“I don’t want to go, Willow,” Tara pouted.

“You know it was part of the agreement,” Willow said.

“I know but I d-don’t want to go,” Tara argued.

“Am I going to have to get Ariel in here?” Willow threatened, “or do you deserve the finger treatment?” Her fingers delving into Tara’s most sensitive tickle spots made it clear that the redhead didn’t mean that finger treatment.

“You and she could go?”

“You want your girlfriend and a 6-year old to pick up your new truck?” Willow sat back down on the side of the truck and playfully brushed a swath of hair from Tara’s forehead.

“If it means that I c-c-can stay here, sure. Plus which, it’s really hers too.”

“Ok,” Willow laughed. She crossed the room to the door and pulled it open before walking down to Ariel’s room. She knocked on the girl’s door even though Ariel was sitting at her desk coloring.

“Willow,” Ariel turned around quickly and bounced up and down on her chair. “Are we going now?”

“Well, you and I are ready to go but your mama doesn’t think she’s going,” Willow explained.

Ariel’s eyebrows knit together as the thought about it. “She has to go,” she said standing up and putting her fists on her hips.

“That’s what I said.”

“I’ll talk to her,” Ariel said as she walked in front of Willow down the hall to her mother’s bedroom. “Mama, Willow says you don’t want to go get our new truck.” She stood near the bed staring down her mother.

Tara looked embarrassed at being confronted by her child. “I’m just nervous about it, baby.”

“Nervous?” Ariel questioned, again bouncing up and down, this time on the balls of her feet. “Why are you nervous? Willow gave us a truck and we’re going to go and get it today. Why are you scared?”

Tara waved for Ariel to come sit with her on the bed as she shot Willow a look that said, you play dirty. Ariel sat down on the bed and Tara hugged her. “We’re going to go get the truck. I’m just nervous because there will be a lot of people there and I don’t know if they’ll want me to say something.”

“But Mama, you are on TV every week and you say lots of really smart stuff.”

“That’s different,” Tara reasoned still not getting up from the bed. “On the show, I’m just out camping and talking with people but this will be different.”

Ariel scrunched up her face in a totally adorable way. “But lots of people see you every week and that is more people than will be at the car place” She thought about it for a few seconds. “Are you worried because people saw you and Willow staying together at the cabin and you danced wearing robes?”

Tara’s eyes popped open wide. “You were supposed to be out of the room for that.”

“Oh!” Ariel’s eyes looked just as wide as her mother’s. “I was I mean … what robes?”

Tara answered playfully: “Great. Now I’m nervous to be on TV every week.” When Ariel looked dismayed Tara laughed out loud and swatted the girl lightly on the bottom. “Come on, kid. Let’s go get our new truck.”

Ariel jumped up and clapped her hands. “Yay! Our new truck,” she yelled as she ran down the hall toward Willow.

“Don’t run in the house,” Tara called after her before joining her lover and daughter by the back door.

--

The Chevrolet dealership was busier than usual and the lot had extra decorations: balloons, clowns, jugglers, a few moonwalks that Ariel wanted to go on over and over. The regional manager welcomed the two women and Ariel to the dealership and told them how thrilled he was to have them at the lot. He repeated many times that no Chevrolet dealership in Ohio had ever been able to deliver the Survivor vehicle, let alone both of them. He hoped that he had managed to get the correct colors but if not, if the women would agree to take their pictures and do the publicity, he would get the correct vehicles as soon as possible.

“Now, Ms. Rosenberg, I believe you wanted the Salsa Red Metallic and Ms. Maclay you wanted the Meander Green Metallic?” both women nodded and began signing papers. Eventually they took turns and the one not signing took Ariel to play on the moonwalk and watch the jugglers.

Tara tapped Willow on the shoulder as the blonde reentered the manager’s office. “I think they want us to s-say something, baby,” she whispered.

“Yeah. I kind of figured they might.”

The manager ushered the two women out the door as Tara held tightly to Ariel’s hand. He stepped up to a podium which was surrounded over a hundred spectators and cameras from all the local television stations. “Thanks to everyone for coming out today,” he said authoritatively into the microphone. “At Reynoldsville Chevrolet, we’re excited to be the first dealership in Ohio to ever hand out the keys to the vehicles won on the television show Survivor.” He waited a few seconds for the clapping to die down before turning to Willow. “Willow, you definitely outwitted, outlasted, and outplayed your competitors last week to win this new Chevrolet Equinox.” He handed her the keys to the truck as flash bulbs went off and spectators cheered.

Willow shook the manager’s hand as she took the keys and turned to wave to the crowd. Next was Tara’s turn. “Tara, we’re so proud to have a local girl making good on this show. Kick their butts and bring home the million dollars to go with this new Chevy Equinox.” He handed a blushing Tara her keys and shook her hand. “Now girls, are you ready to answer a few questions for the crowd here?”

Both girls nodded although Tara looked quite nervous about the entire thing, looking at her feet and picking some imaginary lint off the sleeve of her shirt. “Willow,” the first press member said after introducing herself and her paper, “you live in Atlanta but you are picking up your truck here. Do you want to explain the reason for that?”

Willow smiled warmly at the reporter who had asked the question. “I don’t think it’s any great secret that I enjoyed spending time with Tara while we were on the island and I’m still enjoying her company greatly.”

“Does that mean the two of you are in a romantic relationship?” the same reported followed up Willow’s answer.

“Yes.”

“Are you living together, Tara?” the same reported now asked.

“We’ve b-been spending time t-t-together,” Tara answered, shaking as she spoke.

The redhead reached over to take her lover’s hand and stroke it gently as she allowed Tara to finish her sentence. “Tara and I would both love to thank CBS and Chevrolet for this generous prize. We’re looking forward to driving the vehicles and enjoying their quality.” A big cheer went up for this bit of PR and Tara breathed a sigh of relief as Willow deflected the attention from their relationship and from her own inability to answer a simple question.

“Can you tell us how the two of you ended the game?” an audience member asked.

“We really can’t disclose that,” Willow said with a sweet smile.

“Did either of you vote against the other?” the first reporter now asked.

“Again,” Willow said, “we can’t disclose that. You can continue to watch Survivor at 8:00 on Thursday nights to see how we did.”

“PR wonk,” Tara whispered jokingly to her lover.

Seeing that the two women as well as Ariel were getting antsy the manager called a halt to the conference. “Willow and Tara,” he said in a booming yet friendly voice, “thank you so much for taking a few minutes for your fans.” He again shook their hands and told them, “Enjoy your new Chevrolet Equinox trucks!” A cheer went up from the crowd which Ariel clapped along with. After a few minutes the crowd dissipated to enjoy the hot dogs, entertainment, and moonwalks or to shop for vehicles.

The manager turned to the two women. “I really appreciate your making a few comments and I’m sorry that the questions turned too personal.”

“It’s something we’re growing used to,” Willow assured him.

“Thank y-you,” Tara said as Ariel pulled on her hand. “We must be g-going.”

“That’s quite fine,” he said, “good luck to both of you on the remaining episodes.”

“We appreciate it,” Willow assured him before leading Tara and Ariel from the dais.

Once they had descended, they walked over to where their trucks were waiting. Tara let Ariel into the back and buckled her into her booster seat before walking around to her side of the truck. Both women started up the vehicles and then Tara drove from the lot, waving from her window as cameras clicked away. Willow followed her from the lot and continued down Main Street.

Tara’s phone rang before she had driven a block. “Well that was harrowing wasn’t it? Are you ok, baby? Do you want to stop and I’ll drive? Is Ariel ok? I’m really sorry that happened.”

Tara’s gentle laughter sounded in her ear. “The babbling is just adorable, sweetie. Have I said that before?”

“A few times.”

“Ariel’s hungry,” Tara said, “do you want to go have lunch?”

“I could do that. Where does she want to go?”

“Cappellis. Do you want to follow me?” Tara looked into the back seat to see Ariel giggling and winked at the child.

“Sure,” Willow agreed.

The two trucks pulled into the parking lot one after the other and both women emerged from their vehicles and helped Ariel down. Willow took the child’s hand as they walked toward the door. “What are you grinning about?” she said as she tousled Ariel’s kinky hair with her hand.

“Nothing,” the child grinned. Willow looked at her for a second and then to Tara who was attempting to suppress a smile.

“You’re very silly,” Willow kidded the child.

“Nope,” Ariel said with a big smile on her face, “I’m very hungry.” She let go of Willow’s hand, opened the door, and dashed through it.

Willow looked at Tara as she caught the closing door. “Your child is a goof,” she teased with a smile.

“Takes one to know one.”

Once inside Willow had to wait a few minutes for her eyes to adjust to the semi-darkness in the restaurant and then attempt to locate where Ariel had gone. As she did she smiled seeing a corner table was hung with a banner reading, “Happy Birthday.” Sitting at the table under the banner were Kent, Ariel, and Faith who held up a mug of beer as Tara and Willow walked over to the table.

Willow smiled at the group as Ariel giggled openly. “We surprised you,” the child said triumphantly.

“You did,” Willow agreed with a smile as she walked around the table. Faith stood up and greeted her. “Hey, Red,” she said as she hugged her fellow Survivor. After a long hug the two women took a step back and assessed each other. “You’re looking good, Red.”

“You too, much better than the last time I saw you.” She gave a wink to the brunette as she moved back around the table to sit by Tara.

“I had heard that you got the girl,” Faith said teasingly. “Nice to see it’s really true.”

Both Tara and Willow smiled and Tara of course blushed. “You too,” Willow said just as teasingly, “Not the girl but I heard you picked this one out of a lineup.” She nodded her head toward Kent as she spoke.

“Couldn’t pass him up,” Faith agreed as she snuggled into the large man and took another drink of her beer.

Karri arrived and gave Tara and Willow drinks and asked Ariel, “Ariel, my father is tossing the pizza. Do you want to come watch?”

“Can I?” Ariel turned excitedly toward her parents. “Mom? Dad?”

As usual, Kent allowed Tara to answer their daughter. “Yes, but Karri’s working so if she needs to wait on anyone you come back here ok?”

“Yes, mom,” Ariel said and jumped up to grab Karri’s hand.

Just as Willow was about to take a drink of her Tea, her phone rang. Seeing that it was Joan she excused herself from the table and walked toward the back of the restaurant. She pressed the talk button and immediately heard her best friend singing “Happy Birthday” loudly and off-key.

Willow laughed and listened until Joan finished singing. “Hi sweetie,” Joan immediately said, “I’m sorry I couldn’t make it up for your party. You know I’m swamped at work.”

“I know you are. Plus which we went out on my real birthday.”

“Right,” Joan said with what Willow could imagine was a roll of the eyebrows, “but apparently without all the hot steamy sex that you’re having now.”

“I’m pretty sure whoever called to invite you didn’t mention sex, hot and steamy or otherwise.”

“Since Tara dialed the phone for Ariel, I would hope not,” Joan laughed. “Who is there anyway?”

“Tara and Ariel and Kent and his girlfriend.”

“Kent? Ariel’s dad? Mr. Tall Dark and hottie?”

“Yeah.”

“Is that weird? Actually I guess not since they’re close enough friends for him to come on the show. Of course some people have their sisters on rather than their best friends.” Before Willow could respond to Joan’s taunt, the brunette asked, “What’s his girlfriend like?”

Willow saw that Tara was waving a menu at her to let her know that the others wanted to order and decided to get off the phone quickly. “It’s not weird because he and Tara are really good friends,” she explained. “And his girlfriend is … hmm… kind of bold and hot?”

“Your kind of bold and hot?” Joan asked a little confused by Willow’s answer.

“Not my kind,” Willow corrected, “his kind.” She saw Sarah walk in and made it short. “Hey sweets, everyone wants to order and they’re waiting on me.”

“Ok, Happy Birthday and tell Tara I said hi,” Joan said before hanging up.

Willow arrived back at the table and Sarah quickly said Happy Birthday. Just then Ariel came back and told the others that Joey had actually let her toss one of the pizzas. The group ordered their pizza and visited as Ariel told everyone all about the moonwalks and jugglers and getting the cars. “And the man – ager wanted Willow and Mommy to talk to the people but Mommy didn’t want to.”

Sarah patted the blonde’s hand. “You’re going to have to get used to it,” Faith predicted.

“I know. I just kind of p-panicked.”

“Hey,” a strange voice said, “aren’t you on Survivor? Yeah, you’re Faith,” the guy said as he focused only on the brunette.

“Yeah,” Faith said attempting to be as friendly as she could and still get rid of him, “do you want an autograph?”

“Sure.” He handed her his address book and pen and suggested that she put her phone number down too.

Faith jerked her thumb over her shoulder at Kent. “I’m staying with him. How about I just put his number down?”

“Maybe just the autogra…,” he trailed off as he finally looked around the table. “Hey, is this some kind of reunion? Is anyone else here? Buffy or Kendra or that Robin guy? Are you having a party to get ready for the big weekend next week?”

“Actually, it’s kind of a private party,” Kent said in his deepest voice.

“Oh,” the intruder said, “I didn’t really want to interrupt you all. Maybe if you two can sign my book too, I’ll just get my pizza to go?” Tara and Willow nodded and took the book quickly to sign for him. Willow even asked his name and wrote a note advising him never to give up his optimism. “Well, thanks so much,” he said, “good luck.” He stopped and looked at Kent with trepidation before telling Faith, “I’m rooting for you to win it all.” Then he quickly walked toward the cash register.

Karri came up to tell everyone that their pizzas would be ready in a few minutes. “Was Henry bothering you guys?” she asked. “He’s really a sweet guy, and he comes in every Thursday to watch the show.”

“It’s f-fine,” Tara said, “actually it happens a lot.”

“Really?” Kent asked.

“Really,” Faith and Willow both agreed simultaneously and smiled at each other.

“Strange guys come up and ask for your number?” Kent said again.

“Oh yeah,” Faith said.

“All the time,” Willow said, “I mean not so much strange guys because ‘hello gay and out’ but women everywhere. I mean at the airport, at the gym, at the office supply store… and I’m getting stupider and stupider,” she trailed off as she looked at Tara. “But I just tell them all, ‘nope girls. Off the market I am. Yep, off the market.’”

Seeing Willow’s consternation Tara decided to have some fun with her girlfriend. “Well apparently I’m not out enough because both m-men and women come up and ask for my number.”

“What?” Willow sputtered, “women are asking for your number? Which women? Where? When?”

“Here’s your pizza,” Karri said as she set down the pies on the table.

Tara patted her lover’s knee and whispered something in her ear which brought both a smile and a blush to her face.

“So,” Sarah said with a conspiratorial look at the other women, “it seems to me that we’ve got three of the last five Survivors at this table. So odds are good that the final two are sitting right here.”

“Three in ten,” Willow said around a bite of pizza.

“What?” Faith said.

“Three in ten, the odds of the final two being at this table.”

“But the odds of one of you being in the final two are three in five,” Kent said.

“So which of you is in the final two?” Sarah asked.

“Here’s the thing,” Kent said to his non-mother-in-law, “Tara said that either she’ll be going to New York next Thursday after the show if she’s voted off or for the weekend and the reunion show on Sunday. She asked me to pick up Ariel early if she gets voted off and to come with her as a family member if she doesn’t.”

“Me too,” Sarah said, “she actually said that if she doesn’t get voted off next Thursday I should plan to bring Ariel on Saturday.”

“Interestingly enough,” Kent continued with a smile, “Faith told me a similar story and while I don’t need to do anything if she’s voted off Thursday, she wants me to come for the weekend if she’s in the final four.”

“Well, Joan and my sister are on hold too,” Willow pouted playfully.

“Now,” Sarah said, “It seems to me that we could all plan better for our week and weekend if we knew who would be voted off next Thursday.”

“Gosh doesn’t it,” Faith deadpanned.

“It’s not any of you,” Ariel declared authoritatively.

“Really?” Tara prompted her. “How do you know that?”

“Because,” Ariel explained, “if you don’t vote against each other, no one can vote you off because three is bigger than two.”

“The kiddo has a point,” Faith agreed.

“And did the math,” Willow said, “I should know since I’m really good at puzzles.”

Everyone laughed and continued eating. When they finished, Ariel announced that it was time for presents. “Mine first,” she said and pulled a wrapped package from under the table.

Willow opened Ariel’s present to find a picture frame the child had decorated with dried macaroni and glitter. Inside the frame was a picture of she and Willow playing in the backyard. The shot was completely candid and seemed to really capture Willow’s childlike enthusiasm. “Hey,” the redhead said excitedly, “I didn’t even know you guys were taking pictures.” She turned to Ariel and told her, “This is so great! Thank you.” She gave the girl a big hug and Ariel smiled at everyone at the table.

“Mine next, Red.” Faith handed a small package to Willow.

“You didn’t need to…” Willow tore off a corner of the package and quickly pushed it under the table, out of Ariel’s sight.

“Ok,” Tara said as she took the package of silk thongs from her lover and shoved them into her purse. “We’ll just o-open that one later I think.”

“You were the one who asked,” Faith smirked.

Kent handed the redhead an envelope. “I didn’t really know…”

“Gift certificates for five car washes,” Willow said admiringly. “Cool. Very cool.”

Sarah’s present was a nice map of Reynoldsville and a booklet showing all the interesting sights and stores she might want to visit. “Thanks, Ms. Maclay,” Willow said.

“Sarah,” the older woman reminded her.

“Sorry,” Willow said, “I’m from the South. We can’t call someone by a first name there. It’s either Ma’am or Ms. Maclay. I’m pretty sure my first-grade teacher would pop out of the woodwork to ask for my autograph and then hit my hand with a ruler if I called you by your first name.”

“Well, you’ll have to work on it. Try saying Sarah.”

“You can have my present later,” Tara whispered in the redhead’s ear.

“Speaking of which,” Kent said, “Faith and I were going to go to the pool. How about we take Ariel and bring her back before bedtime?”

“Yeah, Mommy,” Ariel said as she turned quickly in her chair, getting up on her knees, “can I go swimming with Daddy and Faith?”

“Are you sure?” Tara asked the other couple.

“Yeah,” Faith agreed, “it will be fun and you two can spend the afternoon all alone. Gosh how will you ever spend the time?”

“Excuse me for a minute,” Sarah said as she stood up and went to the restroom.

“You guys will need to stop and pick up her swim stuff. Sure baby girl you can go but come snuggle with me a little first,”

“Ok,” Ariel agreed as she climbed in her mommy’s lap. After a few more minutes spent relaxing, the group decided to leave the restaurant.

Everyone came outside to admire the new trucks. “Very butch, Red,” Faith said as she looked at the vehicles.

“Jealous?” Willow winked at the brunette. Knowing that Faith was leaving in few days, the group shared hugs all around with some vague references to seeing each other soon.

Arriving at the house fifteen minutes later, Tara and Willow parked their matching trucks in the driveway and went inside. Once Ariel had retrieved her swim stuff and Tara had again confirmed that Kent and Faith didn’t mind taking Ariel for the day Willow asked, “Do you want to go get your car since we left it at the dealership?”

Tara stepped closer and whispered sexily in her lover’s ear. “Actually I had some other ideas about a rather pleasant way to spend a few hours. Maybe we could get the car after dinner?”

“Mmm,” Willow moaned, “are you asking me on a date?”

“Something like that,” Tara agreed as she began kissing a line down Willow’s neck, unbuttoning her shirt as she went. “First, I’d like to demonstrate what a true birthday should be like.”

“But it’s not my real… Oh God!” Willow screamed as Tara cupped her mound through her jeans and engulfed her nipple with her lips.

That scream was far from the last scream the redhead gave in the next few hours…

dibs!

I think I'm starting to behave like Carleen.

Edited to add:

I'm so glad I'm spending so much time on the board nowadays, so I can catch your update (which I've been waiting 12 hours for, btw :P). Yep, dedicated fan here :).

My, that was a warm and fun update. First, the interaction between Ariel, Tara and Willow, they're so like a family unit now.

Tara waved for Ariel to come sit with her on the bed as she shot Willow a look that said, you play dirty.

I laughed out loud at that, so like Willow to gleefully get out of "confronting" Tara and pass it to a more adorable Ariel.

The scene at the dealership is so realistic, that the manager will be almost peeing in his pants (sorry for bad imagery :P) to get both Survivors there. I'm sure another dealer in Atlanta is fuming. The questions turning personal is inevitable, but I like that you didn't make the reporters too pushy.

“Does that mean the two of you are in a romantic relationship?” the same reported followed up Willow’s answer.

“Yes.”

Straight from the heart, and no hesitation! Well done. If Tara wasn't as out as Willow before, she is now.

The surprise party was lovely, and blah to Henry for disturbing the private party. Faith's present :lol, so typical, which means, no hard feelings, right? Whatever happened on the island is gone, I'm glad.

You don't often give us hints about the outcome but this was a big honking sign,
“You’re going to have to get used to it,” Faith predicted.

“I know. I just kind of p-panicked.”

Does that mean Tara makes F2??? :hmm I wonder.

Of course out of the many presents, Tara's was the best. As if there'd be any competition. Again, I do like the economy of words there, no smut, but abundantly clear that the present was.

Hmmm, I'm all satisfied now, I have my weekly Ash Island fix. Thank you :clap.

Yay! They got their trucks. I'm a little curious......What made you choose Chevy Equinoxs as the winning vehicles?

“Enjoy your new Chevrolet Equinox trucks!”

You got to love the blatant plugs!

I love that Willow chose the red one.....it totally fits her character of "once playgirl". Hmm.....Tara chose green, the color of Willow's eyes.....coincidence.

I can't wait for the next update. Update soon please!

Debra, can I just say that Arial is the cutest thing ever!!! What a great update. Tara's nervousness and Willow helping her through the press conference was great.

I am sooo glad you had Faith at the party. Can I get one of those Faith buttons too?

If this were a Harry Potter book, I’d be wearing an enchanted button saying, “my Slayer is Faith!”

So there are five left. I am guessing that there are three more Island episodes before the live Blah is the winner. I think I did the math right, btu who knows as the only math class I ever took was Intro Frosh yr with the Football team @ UGA. The only A I ever got.

Your W/T and Ariel have a great feel to them. Its great.

And congrats on the Smut on your lawn. Please tell Rachel even though grass man didn't think she was funny that I did

Hi. I haven't reviewed in a while, but I've still been reading. I am really looking forward to seeing how this winds down. Love the W/T/A interaction as well as teh appearance of Faith. Faith's words to Tara are interesting about "getting used to it." I definitely say she's in the Final Four as well as the Final Two. I hope Willow is in the Final Four as well. :)

I liked how they dealt with the rep[orters, not rude but not telling their whole life story either. Suits our girls well enough. Love the update and am anxiously awaiting the next update.

Hey Debra!

Another wonderful update. I likes it very much.

Ariel really was great in this one...

First:
“Are you worried because people saw you and Willow staying together at the cabin and you danced wearing robes?”

Tara’s eyes popped open wide. “You were supposed to be out of the room for that.”

“Oh!” Ariel’s eyes looked just as wide as her mother’s. “I was I mean … what robes?”

Second:
“It’s not any of you,” Ariel declared authoritatively.

“Really?” Tara prompted her. “How do you know that?”

“Because,” Ariel explained, “if you don’t vote against each other, no one can vote you off because three is bigger than two.”

Clever kid. I think she could be right! (Especially since you write her *g*)

And then Tara:
Willow looked at Tara as she caught the closing door. “Your child is a goof,” she teased with a smile.

“Takes one to know one.”

I could probably continue like this and in the end I would have quoted the whole update....

But those were my favourites.

Now.. do we really have to wait a whole week? I wanna now who's in the F4.... *pout*

Hi Debra,

I've got to say that I'm not a big fan of 'Reality Shows'. Here in Britain we have loads of them and the only reason I know about them is because my work mates talk about them during our lunch breaks. Consequently, I hadn't read your latest story ( I know - bad kitten). I decided to read it out of curiosity and boy am I glad that I did - I was hooked! I love the way you describe life on the Island - I can see myself watching the challenges and cheering my favourites on (Willow, followed closely by Tara). As for Willow and Tara's relationship, It's wonderful.

All of the writers on the Kitten Board are wonderful - I often tell my son that you should all be writing novels and screenplays. But you Debra are exceptional. Everything you have written has grabbed my attention and kept me enthralled to the very last sentence - keep up the good work.

That was a great update

Well I can understand Tara being reluctant to go to the dealership. Willow was playing dirty by sending Ariel in.

When Willow was answering the question about whether either she or Tara voted for the other she missed an oportunity. What she should have said is,

"we can’t disclose that. You can continue to watch Survivor at 8:00 on Thursday nights to see how we did and remember to but my new book, Dersert Island Willow. A candid behind the scenes look at life on the Survivor island." Willow held up a copy of her book in order to let the photographers get a picture of the cover.

They were so busy providing publicity for Survivor and Chevrolet they forgot to get some publicity for Willow's autobiography or Tara's book of wilderness survival tips.

The surprise party was fun. Of course it was Faith who bought the embarassing present. Though they were probably lucky that Anya wasn't there.

Tara's comment about giving Willow her present later made me think of an episode of the Simpsons where Marge said the same thing, and Homer responded, "But I want it now, I want to children to see it... oh!" :lol

So who's going to go next? Ariel was guessing it wasn't one of Willow, Tara or Faith but that was based on the assumption that none of those three voted for any of the others, which may not be the case (especially considering the preview of the next episode)

I wonder how Ariel will react if Tara and Faith do vote Willow off.

Hey Debra!!!
Yay! That was my kind of update: light-hearted, funny, angst-free, and it had some Willow-Tara smoochies on the side! :applause

Before I say anything else, I will respond to this:
You’re reading W/T S3 Y’all? For the first time or rereading?

I have to admit that it is my first time reading it. I have a really good excuse, though, because I wasn't even aware of Pens' existance when you wrote it. :sh But I am loving it and I am almost done. Paths next!!! :applause

So anyway, back to THIS story...
“Mmm,” Willow moaned, “are you asking me on a date?”

“Something like that,”

Hehe... I don't know if that is funny or just insanely HOT... I really like how you do that, you don't have to put thousands of words of smut down to convey the point. The way you write all of the steamy scenes in this whole fic is great - you leave lots to the imagination and are tasteful BUT you still send the imagination down its track... :wtkiss :-D :applause

Great update!!! Can't wait to see who's in the final four!!!

Deb, I more than like this fic.. I love it! There’s so much good stuff going on in this part. Tara’s nervousness and Willow saving the day, the surprise party.. Ariel’s attempt to cover her sneakiness is absolutely hilarious! “What robes?” Haha! I missed the little conspiratorial exchange between Tara and Ariel in the cool new truck(!) in the first reading of this update. How dense can I be?!! I love those little moments! Faith’s comment about ‘getting the girl’ sounds like a clue that she, or possibly Willow, will be leaving soon. I think Tara will make the final two, and since Faith heard second hand W/T are together, then both (Faith and Willow) must not have been on the show near the end. Hmm..

“Because,” Ariel explained, “if you don’t vote against each other, no one can vote you off because three is bigger than two.”

Awww.. adorable and brainy. :heart Ariel will have the winner figured out before me! Haha! Great ‘not my real birthday’ gifts too! :D Excellent, as always! Thanks so much!

Wow, what a wonderful update Debra. It was nice to see Tara's shy side when they were at the dealership, and it was completely butch how Willow stepped in and took over the question answering so that Tara wouldn't have to feel embarassed.

I thought this part was funny

“Oh!” Ariel’s eyes looked just as wide as her mother’s. “I was I mean … what robes?”

So, Ariel was sneaking a peak at the action when she shouldn't have been huh? hehe.

And yay! for the suprise party for Willow. I'm so suprised though that Ariel was able to keep quiet about it for the whole day though, I didn't get the feeling that she was the best at keeping secrets.

I liked the faith and Kent interaction at the party, and how faith handled the fan that wanted her phone number, though she wasn't as confrontational as I thought she'd be in that situation. (For some reason, all I can see when I picture Faith handling things like that....well....lets just say it ends with a lot of ass being kicked. hehe :lol )

Great update Debra. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent.

xoxo

Hee, Ariel's so cute :blush Plus she's got a Puck-ish kind of side to her, sneaking looks at the forbidden bits of Survivor episodes :D Probably just as well - where's the fun of childhood if you're not a bit mischievous now and they? Or adulthood, for that matter (silk thongs, yay).

I can understand Tara's reluctance to face the press - the press can get pretty monomaniacal when they've got their minds on pursuing a topic. All in all I think they were lucky in the reporters who were there, they weren't pushed or embarrassed. And Willow's being a good little PR Bunny :D Makes sense - she's a company owner, she knows the value of saying the right things (even if it's superficial) in a business/promotions environment.

So, do we take it that Faith makes it to the final four? I wonder... it's possible, I suppose, that Tara's anguish in the preview of next episode was with regard to voting against Faith, not Willow - if Faith jumps the gun and tries to make a move against her partners, and Kendra gets word of it, Tara may see that it's time to break the alliance and vote for herself, however much it'd upset her to go up against a long-term ally like Faith. Certainly Tara's capable of playing the game to win, but that doesn't mean she'll like doing it when it gets nasty. And Faith, on the other hand, does strike me as the type who would hold a grudge. She values loyalty, but she's always known that her alliance would only go so far, and I don't think she'd remain angry at the others if they outplayed her now. Especially if she'd decided it was time to make her own move - I think she's a very fair person, and as much as she expects loyalty when it's important, she wouldn't expect it now that it's illogical.

Much to ponder :hmm I'll be standing by waiting for the next episode. And meanwhile, Willow can enjoy her birthday present :wtkiss So maybe it's not her real birthday, but given what Tara's got for her, I think she'd more likely change her birthdate than call off the celebrations.

Watson – Yeah you two are getting out of control. Hmmm. 12 hours? You may want to look again at the international date line thing and find out when it becomes Wednesday here. :grin

Seriously, it’s awesome to have someone (many someones) following so closely. You are right that Willow, Tara, and Ariel are very much a family unit at this point. I think sometimes it takes a kid to get someone to see that they are acting like a child.

Uh yeah. Thanks for the lovely visual (not). Yeah, can’t imagine that the Atlanta dealer is happy at all with his loss but then at least it keeps all the Atlanta dealerships from arguing which one gets to give out the vehicle. And you’re right about the no hesitation. Willow has been surer than sure for always that she wants to be with Tara. And Tara’s out after the show anyway so Willow’s not worried about it. Plus which she’s pretty realistic that it’s going to come up.

You gotta understand Henry though. I mean he sees Faith at the pizza place and comes up to ask for her #? That’s ballsy. And then when he sees the three of them: paydirt, man. Faith’s present: more on that later. I think they are all done with what happened on the island.

Yeah you’re right: sign. I wonder what the sign means though.

I must say that I’m glad people are pleased with Tara’s present. I’ve always thought it was a bit lame to give sex and not a real present but my intention is that Tara also gave a good present in addition to the day of birthday sex. But I couldn’t think of the perfect thing so I let that be a secret. And again, I say that I love the smut but just don’t get interested enough to write it very often. I’m glad that it works like this. (Sorry Patches about shutting the bedroom door right at the good part). Thanks.

littlecrazy80 – Thanks. I’m glad you liked and thanks for always commenting.

Tonto – Hey. Yesterday I got a crossword puzzle clue: Jay Silverstone?
What made you choose Chevy Equinoxs as the winning vehicles?

Honestly, I have not particular allegiance to Chevy. I drive a Toyota. But they usually give out a Chevy or a Pontiac and I just couldn’t bring myself to curse them with a Pontiac even for free. The Chevy the show gives away is usually something new or trendy and this looked to be both those things. I thought it was better to pretend to give away a real vehicle than to pretend to give away a fake vehicle? I thought the colors appropriate. Thanks.

cooper – Thanks. I like her a lot too. Tara has more nervousness to come. I really think that so far, she’s had it pretty easy but it’s about to get harder when her in the final 5 at least. And if she’s out next, then her girlfriend is in the final 4 so either way, a lot of attention. Lol we should make the enchanted Faith buttons.

I am guessing that there are three more Island episodes before the live Blah is the winner.
Exactly right although the next is the Thursday night and then the other three hours are all together on Sunday.

Thanks for everything.

Willow~Rosenberg – Welcome back then. I’m glad you’ve been reading and enjoying. As Cooper said, there are three more island updates and then the finale so it’s definitely approaching. Good guesses on the final four and final two. I think that W/T are in a difficult position publicity-wise. On one hand, Tara is basically a shy/regular person. On the other they are on a reality show which pretty much shouts, “give me attention!” Add to that their relationship and they are definitely in the spotlight.

Insanity – Hey there. Glad you like. Yeah, Ariel is pretty cool. I really wondered about whether Tara would let her watch the entire episode with the coverage of her night in the cabin. Particularly given that she didn’t know what the editors would include. Lol about quoting the entire update. Sometimes I feel like that with Watson’s KAR updates.

Sorry to say, yes it will probably be an entire week.

caz – Hi back. Ok, another for the list of not reality show fans. That’s fine. I’m mixed on them: love some and think the others are a sign of the impending apocalypse. Ok, not really but some are very very bad. I don’t watch much TV so the first time I heard of Survivor or American Idol was at a work lunch and everyone was talking about the people on the show and I couldn’t even understand the topic of discussion. Long for saying I can understand why you hadn’t read it but am glad that you’ve joined us now. Thanks for the votes on your favorites. Glad you like the challenges and the relationship.

Thank you so much for your wonderful praise. Hi to your son.

Justin – Hi Justin. Just so you know, I’m still reading ToD,ToL. I just haven’t had time to keep up with the commenting. But I like the way it’s going very much. It’s very well written and I don’t know what’s going to happen so that’s very good.

Thanks. I agree but at least it got Tara to get up and go there. And wasn’t she being pretty silly? I mean she went on a reality show! And now her shyness is setting in. It’s a little late for that I’d say.

Re: Willow’s missed opportunity. It’s my understanding that the castaways sign all types of nondisclosure and non-compete agreements that forbid them from doing any PR besides what CBS arranges as well as not allowing them to write books or articles, etc. A candid behind-the-scenes look is exactly what CBS does not want to see.

More on Faith’s embarrassing present later. Lol about Anya. I seriously thought about how I could get her into the story and considered A. Keeping Xander around long enough to have him have her visit as a family member and B. Replacing Joan with Anya for Willow’s friend. Too bad…

We’ll see about Ariel’s reaction whatever happens…

Thanks.

watersong84 – Definitely all those things although I think there was angst for Tara with all the publicity and everything. But other than that, angst-free. Cool that you’re reading Y’all for the first time. I’m quite excited about because that means that you will probably move on to Paths next. I say again, that it is my favorite of my stories. Like my best ideas (Shadows & Shine, alternating RL updates on this) it pretty much sprang full-grown from my forehead and for that I thank a ton of deities.

you don't have to put thousands of words of smut down to convey the point.
Well, if you are reading Y’all, there is plenty of smut there to make up for the lack here. And of course my Please series has all the smut anyone could need. Thanks for the comment though. It’s good to know that my limited smut is enough for everyone.

Yep, F4 coming up next.

Kajun – Thanks so much. :grin Glad you liked the Ariel touch. I thought it was cute and judging from response there’s lots of agreement. Yeah, couldn’t give away the party to the readers with too much reading of Tara & Ariel. I don’t think you’re dense but there was a little clue to it. Hmmm… interesting logic about the remaining survivors.

I think any “not real birthday” gifts are great because… gifts without a birthday always good. Thanks to you.

Emms – Thank you. I think that Tara will have a lot more of that shyness to look forward to in the coming time. It will definitely be hard for her. I’d say that Tara just thought far enough ahead to send Ariel out of the room to get something during that part of the show. Kids can be surprising about keeping secrets if they think it’s fun.

I like Faith and Kent together. I like to think that he brings out a gentle but competitive side in her-that he’s a very good match for her. You’re so welcome and thank you.

willowtree114 – Hi there. I’m not sure that I’ve seen your screenname before so welcome. :wave. I’m glad you’re reading and enjoying (ok, loving it). A few more weeks to find out the winner. Thanks for reading.

Artemis – Thanks. Yeah, she’s a pretty cool kid and all.

I can understand Tara's reluctance to face the press - the press can get pretty monomaniacal when they've got their minds on pursuing a topic.
Strangely enough I got stopped on the way back from lunch today (walking) by a reporter and a camera man. She wanted to talk about being in an accident with an uninsured motorist. I started to answer her casual question (off camera) and then was like, “uh. No, I’m heading back to work.” Anyway, that’s an aside obviously.

I think that Tara is in the right in that she wants some privacy but on the other hand, she went on a reality TV show. She knew the cost and the chances going in. Now if she’s uncomfortable, she’ll have to deal with it the best she can. Willow, on the other hand is quite charismatic and has nothing to lose. She already has a family and a girlfriend who love her and she owns her own business. Why not be a PR head?

Yes, it’d definitely possible that Tara is being placed in the position of voting off Willow or Faith and has to make that decision. Anything is possible.

:rofl about Willow’s appreciation. Thanks as always.

I wondered about that too. However, Faith could just be talking in general about future random people asking questions on the street. *shrugs* Guess we'll find out later!

Great update! Was looking forward to reading it but hadn't had time away from stupid school work. ALMOST done school though and I shall be loyally dedicated to my kitten's readings. Hear that...MY *laughs* Hmm...

Guess I should get back to work. No actual survivor update part though? *pouts* Oh well. Next week!

SallyMcFine - :rofl There’s a time and a place for everything? Hmmm. Would you like me to suggest some good smut? Lol.

raven – Thanks. I’m glad to have you back then and I see that it’s your first post on the new board. Glad you like.

and i just noticed om back to 1 post umm must have been the forum move or umm i dunno lol
If you post a note on the “issues” thread to the moderators and tell them your old post count they can restore it for you.

Always410 – I think it’s worth wondering just Faith means by that but the fact is that Tara is in for some publicity. There are only two possibilities: she is in the F4 or her girlfriend is (or both so I guess that’s three). Either way, that’s going to get a lot of attention and not all of it wanted. So whatever Faith knows, she is right on with her comments.

Thanks so much. Glad you could get time away from your school work. It’s important to take breaks regularly. Just not too many… Thanks and congrats on the quoting.

Irene73 – Hey back. Everyone is doing well. Lol about thinking too much. Oh, believe me, they would have had to medicate me to get me to go pick up the truck at a publicity thing. Ok, free truck would help but it would have been a challenge. Glad you like Ariel and the fact that she reminds you of your daughter is a great reality-check. You know? If you were like, “hey I have two kids and they are nothing like Ariel!” So it’s a good reality check.

And giving the gift of love making is never, ever,ever-ever-ever, a bad or cheesy thing. As long as the material gift comes after...he he he.
Yes to the as long as! It can’t be instead of.

You’re welcome. BTW, I don’t think her mom was uncomfortable but I can see how that seems. I think it was coincidence.

If this were a Harry Potter book, I’d be wearing an enchanted button saying, “my Slayer is Faith!” I love Faith. Always have. Absolutely my favorite Slayer by a lot.

First off I love the Harry Potter books. I know off topic but I had to do it. But anyway. They are currently running season three here on UPN and I am now seeing this season for the second time and have been enjoying Faith's character a lot. I remember reading somewhere that they were thinking of doing a Faith spin off when the show was over but decided that it wasn't the right time, but I am now wondering if since Tru Calling is no longer on the air if something might come of it now. It could be a good show if they did.

Now on to the update. This was another great update. I thought that it was cute that Ariel was the one that talked Tara into going to the dealership with her and Willow. But I could understand why Tara was nervous to go. I wouldn't want to get up and talk to reports so I could see how she wouldn't want to given that she stutters and she knew that they were going to ask about her personal life. I like how Willow was able to get the attention off of Tara with her good PR. I am sure that is a skill she picked up running her business.

The surprise birthday party for Willow was good too. It was nice to see that Faith, Willow and Tara get along so well. I liked how Kent and Sarah were trying to get the info on who gets voted off this week. I can't imagine being W/T/F in this situation because I am sure they want to tell what happens but know that they can't. It must be so frustrating to know this big secret but not be able to tell anyone.

I was really touched when Tara asked Ariel to snuggle with her in the restaurant. I got a smile on my face picturing Ariel climbing into Tara's lap. A really good mother/daughter moment.

Another great update and I can't wait for more.

Well that was just a great update as always. I love the way you have Willow and Ariel interacting...you can definately see a good bond forming between them. And it was nice to see everyone getting together for Willow's birthday as well. That closeness is always wonderful to see. Can't wait for more!

things definitely seem to be going well for our girls on the homefront. i enjoyed the use of ariel to cajole tara into the truck pick-up, and how well they support/compliment each other at the dealership. and i can picture perfectly ariel giggling in the backseat while tara is setting willow up for the party. what impressed me most, though, was the phone call from joan. i doubt that tara or ariel seriously expected that she could show up, but they realized it was important for her to be included. willow probably wouldn't have noticed if joan hadn't called her for her fake birthday, but i think you're demonstrating the effort they're making to integrate all areas of their lives.
so tara needs to get used to the attention huh? not like you to tip your hand quite that much, but then we are winding down here and final four for tara is 80% mathmatically, but a lot higher than that in my mind, so maybe it's not that much of a reveal after all. can't wait to get back to the island tommorow!~mary

Laughed my ass off at;

“Am I going to have to get Ariel in here?” Willow threatened, “or do you deserve the finger treatment?” Her fingers delving into Tara’s most sensitive tickle spots made it clear that the redhead didn’t mean that finger treatment."

:rofl
Whew, for some wacky reason that struck me as funny...

I can imagine some of the looks the crew get sitting together at the restaurant. Fans would consider themselves lucky to see one Survivor cast member and here there are three at the same table. I liked the little jealous bits with the autographs, especially Willow's reaction when Tara talks about men and women approaching her.
I love all of the bonding going on! What a great family they all make.

Always410 – Nope, no update yet. Hopefully I can get one up on Wednesday. Glad you like W/T S3. Cool. Thanks.

blue eyed girl – I too am a big fan of HP. We ordered out #6 from Barnes & Noble so pretty excited about that. Of course if I’m not finished with Survivor – Ash Island, reading HP will push the updates back a little so there’s a cost (isn’t there always?).

I also heard about the faith spinoff which would have been cool but I think that’s all over now. Too bad.

I think it’s easier for Ariel to convince Tara to do things seeing as she’s so cute. Also I think that Ariel has challenged Tara to be more brave in life because she has to be for her daughter. Yes, F/W/T are getting along so well but there is quite a bit more show so Sarah & Kent still don’t know what will happen. Of course they would like some advance information.

It must be so frustrating to know this big secret but not be able to tell anyone.
When asked about the best thing about The Amazing Race being over, the couple who won this year said “being able to tell the truth.” So I think it really takes a toll on a person.

The picture you got in your head of Tara & Ariel snuggling was exactly what I intended. Glad it worked. Thanks.

stillrunning – Thanks so much. I think of Willow & Ariel as being very similar in that they are both childlike (Ariel for obvious reasons). They also both love Tara so that’s another link. Thanks.

irishgrl3 – Thanks. I’m glad you thought that line was good. I think fans would be blown away to see one Survivor let alone three of the final five together for pizza. Glad you liked.
