Thanks to April and her quick CD burner I have seen The Body. Man am
I vaklempt!
I know everything I can say has already been said. I am just
going to talk about the emotional impact it had on me. I really
thought that by the time I saw this episode I would be in control
and not cry. I mean I have read the transcript, I have seen the
clips (the kiss 4,000,000 times at least) and knew everything that
was going to happen. HA! I say it again, HA! As soon as Sarah
said her second mom the tears were starting to form and I was not
ready for it. I didn't have a box of kleenex beside me nor a hanky.
during the credits I had to run to get the kleenex.
My first kudos go to Kristine Sutherland. She palys a great dead
person. Everytime they showed her it was very jarring, very
disturbing. Joss is a genius.
Michelle...what an actress this kid is. I was very moved. I could
feel what was going on but not moved to tears.
Here is another shocker. I didn't cry during the Willow/Tara
scene. No, can you believe it? I think I have seen that scene so
many times (that's what I get for being such a spoiler ho) and
concentrated so much on something Joss and ALy had said that it took
me right out of the moment. Joss had stated that Aly is such a great
cryer that they wonder if she will be alright after a scene. Then
ALy's reply to that was, that's why it's called acting. That is what
was going on in my mind as I watched this scene. I was marveling at
the realism and at the enormity of Aly's talent. It took me so out,
that I was not emotioanlly involved. Colour me bummed. But I could
feel Tara's sadness and desire to help Willow. I just loved how
Amber played this scene.
Ah, but the water works started up quick enough as soon as Emma
started to show emotion. This is where I think I cried the most. I
really felt for Anya. Emma was so good in this scene. Anya is trying
so hard to understand and no one, not even Xander is helping her
out. I wanted to take her in my arms (hug her for days) and expalin
it all to her.
Nick, was also very good in this...hell what am I saying they
were all briliant.
I was a bit disappointed in the Buffy/Tara scene though and I
can't put my finger on why. Amber did such a great job with Tara.
She really pulled out all of the stops, but something was missing in
the Buffy scene.
Giles ever the father figure in control. ASH is always great no
matter waht he does.
I plan on watching this episode many more times. This is my
second favourite episode Hush still being my favourite.

My thanks also go out to April and Len, I watched the body last
night...WOW! I thought I would be prepared but the tears started at
the beginning and carried on after the closing credits. The looks
between all of the characters of support and sadness were just
amazing. And I was surprised too find that the part I cried most at
was Anya and her wanting to understand. It truly was an amazing
episode.

'The Body' has become one of the eps I watch over and over again,
like Hush and Restless, and I cry everytime because it's just so
damn sad, but it's such a good episode! I think watching it helps me
cope with a lot of the sad crap going on in my
life.
Plus, the kiss, need i say more?

grief, Tara's comforting Willow scene memorized. AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!

i've heard, all the sadness and stuff...i'm gonna cry like a baby!
I'm looking forward to the Willow/Tara scene (What W/T fan isn't?!)

out. i have that whole act of just the scoobies in willow's room
practically memorized. i love the kiss, cant say that enough.

Willow - It's been pointed out to me that that's, you know,

Can I just say once more that Anya's little speech gets me
everytime?
I showed 'The Body' to my gf today; needless to say, she doesn't
watch Buffy and is hardly a fan of any kind...heh heh..
Anyway, she liked it. She could understand my feelings even if
she didn't empathise herself.
Oh - she thought w/t were cute as well. Especially the 'darling'
bit...sigh....

My favorite exerpt from Carly's
review. ------------------------------------------ "Rub her
tummy, I say! Everyone else smooches in front of you two, so what's
wrong with a little tummy rubbing? And while you're at it, take off
Tara's shirt because she looks hot and I wanna see… uh… what her bra
looks like… because I'm in the market for a new one? Yeah, that's
it." ------------------------------------------- You go Carly!
This woman belongs on this board. I like how she thinks.

That is a great quote Paula. We accept her, we accept her. One of
us. One of us!
Anyway, I was watching this again. It is so tough cause Aly is
crying so but I do love this line:
I am the king of everything, I am better than you.
I really want to use that line in conversation.
Can't beat this one either:
La, la, la, I don't care.
And then watching Dawn's face light up when she think there may
actually be a santa claus. She's such a kid, you know? And the
encouraging smile Tara gives her, complete with an eyebrow raise.
How cute!!!
Then there is this shot of Tara and Dawn right after Xander says
"naughty booze hound," they look like sisters. They laugh the same
way. Then they hug later on at the hospital. I think Joss definitely
wanted to show a close relationship between Tara and Dawn.

then money money money?
