Willow and Tara Comic

Hello everyone.



Long time lurker, first time poster. So here's hoping I do this right. I've been reading the fantastic stories on this board for two years now and decided it was time I give something back. It's a short comic set in the world of The Wish. What can I say, any excuse to draw Willow in that costume again.



Title - Still working on a title. Any ideas?

Disclaimer - Well, there's the obviousness of some girl on girl kissy action. Not a lot of angst - yet. Oh, and it takes place in the world of The Wish, but other than that, it's AU.

Summary- Each chapter focuses on different things. This one would be the introduction of Willow and Tara. This chapter is Willow's POV.

I've run into a bit of a problem finding hosts... or web pages... basically a place to show the pictures (no, i don't understand the first thing about this area of the net). But you've probably all noticed this already. I blame this on bad planning on my part. I'll try to get things sorted as soon as possible. I'm really sorry about all this.

I can't access your comic since you posted but that could be my bad luck since I'm a magnet for that and everyone seems at least a click faster than me.



I'm sure you can talk to Xita about hosting your W/T comic pages. You just have to wait for her to come back. There are a few kittens on the board who would host your pictures for you.



ETA:- Finally got to see your comic, thanks Tinna Karen & that is by far the best Willow & Tara drawings I've seen from fans. Kudos! Definitely encouring you to draw more!

Foxfire141: Wow! I'm loving it! The style really suits the Wishverse, in that beautiful haunted kind of way. I love the visceral attacks Willow makes on other baddies, and because it is in defense of Tara, it makes it all the more striking.

I'm glad I can see them too and I agree about it being a bit haunting, drawing style and all. Vampire Willow is creeping me out a bit with her lurking in the shadows like that and you really caught that feel of it all.



Anyway, great stuff, your drawings are really cool. You do have some great talent in you, definitley more than I do that's for sure. I took about three art classes when I was in high school and it didn't help me much. Thanks for sharing your work with us.

That said...wow! I love it! I like your style and I'm intrigued to see where are you going with this, so...more, please?



And about the host...you don't need to know html to host your pic there: you just have to upload them and then post a link on the board... but I realize that you would probably like to be able to link each page to each other, without having to return to the board, so I'll just shut up now

Leah, first, I can host them permanently if you need to, I've been on vacation but I am back and I am pretty much always around and can get them up by the end of any day if you email me, that is if you still need it, I see tinnakaren has done a great job there!



Anyway, you have great talent these comics are VERY good! I think my favorite so far is that third one where VW seems really tender. Still, it now seems like she's about to turn Tara..

I thought that only the first part of the first chapter is up, but I now understood that the whole 1st chappy is up. God, the way you draw is just WOW. I can't even draw a straight line with a ruler.

They rock, and I want more. BTW, you did some amazing work on the details of Willow's fangs. Amazing.

Oh, umm...Wow! That's beautiful. I'm more of a Tara-girl myself, but your right, Willow in leather...yum! You captured her perfectly. You've got my fingers itching towards my own drawing pencils, hmm, that hasen't happened in a while. Only one minor rant, I guess I couldn't get the last page to load properly or something, 'cuz it was all fuzzy. All I could make out was a snuggly W & T at the end. Is she gonna bite her??!!!

Finally, an update.



But before I do that, I just want to thank everyone who's offered help posting these pictures. Xita's offered to post them permanently, so everything should be good from here on out.

Notes - #1) The worst thing about writing a story is having to make the characters say things that even make the writer upset... in this case it would be the comment Tara makes about herself and the demon inside to her father. I cringe everytime I read that. But it was needed for later strips. and #2) Don't worry, Willow isn't the only one who get's to 'spice up' her out fit.

Despite all the really cool fanfic here, and there is a lot, there's something lacking in just reading about W/T. There was a visual level to them on the show that certainly enhanced the pair. Probably it was Aly and Ambers' amazing skills as actresses, the ability to do so much with so little, and yet it was a visual treat. I for one still miss watching them. Your comic is a great substitute and is very very cool. I like the way you have Tara's face down, and how you got Vamp Willow's outfit. Her face is not quite as spot on, but is very close. The art otherwise is very good and fits the characters and what's going on. One of the things I disliked about Wilderness was the terrible art, good coloring or not. It definitely lessened the story for me.



Story wise, I think you may have jumped Vamp Willow into the relatioship a tad quick. She was awfully cruel, selfish and pretty evil. Perhaps a little more transition out of that and dealing with actual emotions for Tara would have helped. And one has to wonder why Tara didn't flee from Vamp Willow as well. Still, the progression is nice, the use of her 20th birthday a good idea, though in reality she is now becoming what her family feared, and the final kiss with Willow after the deaths of her family is very well done. Maybe even sort of chilling. One wonders how much of Tara is going to be left in Vamp Tara!



I really enjoyed this so far and would suggest that maybe you think about slowing your pace down a little bit. I certainly hope you have more in mind. You are way too good an artist and the story is way too neat to let go. Definitely keep this up. Great job.

Yikes! I can't say I feel bad for the old man and that creep of a brother. Okay.. (chapter 2, last page, center panels) I like the way you switched the view and remembered to put the dresser behind Vamp Willow. The fairy lights were a nice touch as well. Little things.. Anyhoo.. I'm enjoying this comic very much and look forward to the next chapter. Heh, I'm still grinning about VW dusting Xander. Niiiccccceee... Thanks Leah!

Huh, looks like I'll have to go back and add some 'flash backs', keeping in mind: gory deaths and more Tara's point of view.



Jenny: I've desided I'm going to have to ban you from reading the rest of this story until we get some more of your "The Calling".



Tinnakaren: Woohoo! My own fan base! I'm famous! Oh, and thank you again for helping me out with the hosting problem before.



Garner: I have to agree with you, I probably should have spent some time developing the relationship. But I wanted to set the plot and get to some story lines. Although, there was supposed to be some time inbetween the chapters. I'll have to go back and try to write that in there somehow.
