W/T SHIPPERS!! SHOW US WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT W AND T!! ADD YOUR OWN LITTLE KNOWN FACTOID!!



I know, I know... there are the quick summaries everywhere on the Web about W/T. But here's how to play THIS game & why it's different:



You MAY use info that is either implied or factual... either stated by W/T or about W/T by someone else... you can use things that you've noticed behaviorally, etc. You can make connections based on taste. Just make sure to:



1. Put the info & the character's name it belongs to (i.e. W or T)

2. Put what episode you found the info in...

3. If possible, describe the situation in which the info appeared in (no needs to speak for a fact to be discovered... if body language or a particular item of clothing helps, then it can be used... you just have to have basis your claim, it also cannot be something that may have just been a one-time only thing... like a reaction... unless it is repetitive, ie. a fear of spiders or something).



I will remind you, however, that the info must be traceable to some event or situation from the show. This is not a fanfic thread.

Tara is a girl.

Description of Event: N/A



Nothing is too mundane. However, please read the thread closely. We do not want repeat bio info, although those who want to offer clarification or discussion based on another's posts are ok.



Think of it this way... does Willow like wearing overalls? I know that she does, but who can give us an example? What's W's fave breakfast food? What are her life's aspirations? What is T's fave color? Do either of them have particular political stances? Or peculiar views about life? etc...



HAVE FUN! THINK OF AS MANY AS YOU CAN!! OUTHINK YOUR FRIENDS!! WHO CAN FIND THE MOST ELUSIVE INFO ABOUT W/T FROM ANY EPISODE??

ugh... this is going to be pretty lame but... here goes:



Tara is alergic to shrimp.

Episode: Superstar, season 4

Reason: she just is, I guess

Description of Event: Anya explains the idea of alternate realities by using a shrimp metaphor saying that "you could have a world without shrimp". Tara jumps and says something like "really?" - what earns her a *look* from Willow to which she shrugs and replies “I’m allergic”.



So yeah, that wasn't Mega Important but, hehe, that's my w/t education. *spanks self. 'bad kitten!'*

Hear's some easy ones:


Willow has frog fear.


Episode:Uhh there's a couple, the first one that comes to mind is 'Killed By Death'..and another one where she falls asleep in the Library and after sleep talking, tells Giles 'I have frog fear'.


Reason: Uhh no idea, possibly a 'bad frog experience'.


Description of Event: See above, also in 'Wild At Heart' she says, 'Don't warn the tadpoles' in her sleep.





Willow has a fear of ponies.


Episode: WIld AT Heart.


Reason: 'Bad birthday party experience'


Description of Event: Willow tells Tara, 'Big teeth that could take your arm of horses!' when Tara is talking about


horse riding.





Willow is affraid of singing/acting on stage.


Episode: 'Nightmares', 'Restless'.


Reason: Shy (??)


Description: In 'Nightmares' one of her nightmares is singing in an opera on stage. In 'Restless' she again dreams that she is in a play and doesn't know any of her lines/etc.





... Quick note, am I the only one having trouble seperating episode events from fanfic events?

Episode: Where the Wild Things Are, season 4

Reason: apparently, she found him sexy…

Description of the Event: the Scoobies stand shocked at the entrance to the Espresso Pump watching Giles play his guitar and sing ‘Behind Blue Eyes’ to the Café’s audience. Tara points out that he’s ‘kinda good’ and Willow nods and adds she now remembers why she ‘used to have such a crush on him’.

Mrs Vertigo, well the 'lil bits of info I keep thinking are 'real' but are actually from fanfic, is pretty much anything from 'Camp Flutie'. How do you know when you've read a fanfic waaayyyy too many times!!





Clearly I have too much free time because I can't sleep, I've gone through all the threads and I'm back at this one again. So, some more....





Willow takes notes by going over her papers with many different coloured pens.


Episode: Season 5, 'Triangle'


Reason:


Description of the Event:.'I use a system of different coloured pens to copy over my class notes.."





Willow *HAD* numerous pet fish.


Episode: Season 2'Passion'.


Reason: She wanted a pet (?)


Description: Angel threads Willow's newest fish and puts them in an envelope. However she comments that they hadn't had time to bond yet, implying she had others.





Tara learned to ride horses when she was young.


Episode: Season 4, 'Where The Wild Things Are'.


Reason: Something to do...(?)


Descriptiong: Tara says to Willow - 'I learned to ride when I was little.' She then says that she could take Willow riding one day, possibly implying that she still rides.





(Note, yes I refuse to use past tense in reference to Tara!)

Description of the Event – the Scoobys discuss their future and when Cordelia tries to mock Willow for going to spend the next three years in ‘Tea-Bag Central’ Xander and Willow casually note that she had also been accepted pretty much everywhere else.

If it was season 1 I think it had to be Invisible Girl (also called Out Of Mind, Out Of Sight). Marcy Ross was trying to hurt Cordelia and her friends because of how they treated her and ignored her into disappearing.



I think the "breast gal" line was about chicken, but the "you knew that" line was clearly not particularly about chicken because she had realized what she just said and realized how it sounded. She was clearly indicating that "breast gal" applies in both contexts even though when she had said it she had only been thinking about chicken. That was in Life Serial wasn't it (I don't think anyone had said)? (Buffy ran off to meet Angel after the demon destruction in Flooded and returned to them having dinner--and brought chicken--at the beginning of Life Serial.)



But the "not liking Dawn" is more questionable; dark-Willow didn't like anyone and was trying to be hurtful, not necessarily expressing Willow's true feelings (or at least, she was suppressing the positive feelings at that point). I do think, though, that Willow does not care about Dawn as much as Tara does (eg. Wrecked), but she was getting lost in her magick addiction at that point, so it's hard to say if she would have cared about anyone at that point...even herself. But Tara has always been more actively caring and protective of Dawn.



You can make much more of a case that Willow does not like Anya from their arguing in Triangle and continuing snide comments like in Flooded ("Ok, but you're giving up a gold mine."--referring sarcastically to Anya's suggestion that Buffy charge for saving people) and probably others. And Willow really doesn't like Faith ("...10 minutes alone with her... if I were larger and had grenades." and the "throw the book at her" ... "They could throw other things." from Who Are You).





But to contribute something new to the thread...



Willow likes dolphins (and apparently camels).

Episode: Family (I think)

Reason: When Tara is telling her story about the lonely kitty who is taken to the pound Willow asks in a happy voice if there are dolphins there (Tara assures her there are many dolphins at the pound). Willow similarly asks if there are camels there. Note that the pound was seen as a happy place in the story because it was there that the lost animals found loving families to care for them.

This is a great thread for fic writers. We should maybe gather the information and post it over there in the Fan Fic help thread just to give some more background to the characters if the mods agree.
