Favourite W/T moments or the single most unexpected W/T mome

Wow. There have been a lot of unexpected W/T moments. Course I was spoiled for many of them, but I was surprised when I first heard, so that counts, right?

The kiss in the Body was a surprise. So natural, so unhyped, so unexpected. NMR, which left no doubt as to the nature of their relationship (up until then, I'd been preparing myself for the possibility that it would stay subtexty and coy, kinda in the X/G mode. In one ep, just a few months into their 'ship, Joss surpassed Xena in terms of dealing with the relationship honestly and directly. Blew them out of the water)And all the physicality that we got to see once the show moved to UPN, which meant that not only were we being clearly told that these two were lesbian gay-type lovers, but shown kisses and bedroom scenes to reinforce this as well (which is only fair, considering all the bedroom scenes the het couples tend to get...)

I wold say that moment that I found most unexpected was the hug in New Moon Rising when Willow visits Tara in her room before class. The hug itself wasn't unexpected but the feeling behind it was. You could feel the love for Tara that Willow was feeling.

I would probably say, the part in Tabula Rasa when Willow, gets all dressed and ready using magic. I really believed willow in her talk with Tara in the previous scene. Or at least believed that she would make an effort to stop using magic for practically everything. But when I saw her change like that, I was so shocked and mad as hell at her. I was like, "Willow your so so so so stupid. I cant believe that you just did that. How could you lie to Tara!" I was so mad and dissapointed in her.

There was no single, riveting 'moment' for me... up to mid-season 5 I knew what was coming anyway (having come late to the wonderful party that is W/T shipdom), so...

It had to be "Tough Love". Not just the fight, not just the brainsuck, but certainly also the Willow-vengeance.

Cemented the whole concept as "whoa, this is intense". I got echoes of it again in "The Gift", "OMWF", and "Tabula Rasa".

the hour long shower scene with full frontal nudity.

Oh. we're talking about things that actually happened on the show and not just in my head.

My happy one comes from "Once More With Feeling" when Willow and Tara are trying to get away to do you know. Tara has this wicked little grin and she stares intently at Willowpillows. I know it's a glance.

Then my sad moment comes in two parts. First in "Tough Love" when Tara is brain sucked and Willow can't get to Tara and when Willow goes off all dark majiky. Then in "Tabula Rasa" when Willow lies to Tara, falls off the wagon and does another forgetting spell. I could not believe she was playing with her loved one's mind again.

I was thinking about moments that truly shocked me. I came up with Tough Love, especially the dorm scene at the end. Not really for shock value, but mainly for the effect it had on me. I don't think I've ever had such an intense emotional reaction to anything before. And probably haven't since. I tend to tiptoe around that episode pretty carefully.

In Season 1 & 2, Willow had a big lot of feelings for Xander.
In Season 3, she was dating Oz but still had feelings for Xander that they then had an affair.
Season 4, Oz left and Willow met someone else. A girl who was sweet, innocent and powerful in the arts of magic. Tara. They have been dating for two years but now they are split up! Is Joss mad? I'm glad that things work out for them though in Season Six. Normal Again, episode 17.

Hmm like I said before, the Flaming O Spell is what surprised (even pleasantly shocked) me the most because I was unspoiled then. It is impossible for me to remain unspoiled now, and I really do not want to be anymore. It gives me time to prepare and the anticipation can be fun as well.

Anyway, I have many more favourite W/T moments, make that all of them, but the one that got me jumping up and down for joy *and* frustration the most this season has got to be the Willow on top of Tara scene from Tabula Rasa. It is a close call to just about every other W/T scene this season, but this one just...*sigh*

A good moment is their kiss in Bargaining.
A few bad moments are when Tara got brain sucked by Glory, and when Willow did the forgetting spell on Tara TWICE!!

Well I am all about the bumping today , but I am still high on the last episode. It is like starting all over, every W/T moment seems so extra special now, I hope I will be spoiled again soon enough though.

All the W/T scenes from Older and Far Away were *great*, but my favourite may be Tara confronting Anya (I posted the quote in another thread). To see Tara being so fiercely protective of Willow just made me shudder. In a good way of course.

I guess I do have to wait a bit longer before I get to bump the favourite touches thread again.

There are a few moments that made me go gaga!!

But I think the kisses in The Body really knocked me for six, I remember lurking here and seeing screen caps of the kisses by Kajun Spice, I nearly fainted

It was especially sweet for me, because I'd always complained bitterly on how unfair it was that they hadn't been allowed to kiss before, especially during Family, the end scene was beautiful and will always be one of my faves, but they should have been allowed to kiss during it, if they could show Spike getting jiggy with Harmony, they should have let the girls kiss!

I'm stupid enough to have totally missed W/T in S4, so my jaw dropped when Faith mentioned Willow not driving stick anymore. Also I was unspoiled until Gone, so the end of Tabula Rasa caught me totally off guard.

All the W/T scenes from NMR, especially the "extra-flamey" one. I still remember telling my roomie about it when she came home from class:

Also, the kiss in The Body. totally unexpected-- in a good way.

Wow, good list!

Personally, I would have a really really hard time putting together a list...I mean, there are so many moments, and they're all so damn good (except for the fights of course, although that too is a part of the relationship)
I wouldn't know what scene would be in what place...

I like yours though..the #1 really is very well described
