I am ever so amused at the impatience shown in the other Nocturnal thread. Heh heh. I am opening a new one, because we have a LOT to tell you. First I shall quickly give the tale of the grand opening, after which you may expect many more posts.
We were sitting way in the back of the room. Amber came on stage, we were all clapping and woohooing of course. She cracked a joke about the coat she had been wearing for two weeks.
*THEN* she said:
"There is a fab group of people out there from the Kitten Board, they love my butt, so this is for them: *turns lifts up her coat and shows her butt in front of a 1000 people.*
The butt showing however went unnoticed by myself as I was lying on the floor freaking after hearing Amber mention the Kitten Board to the whole bloody Nocturnal.

oh you sooo haven't heard the rest of it yet...
on the second day,they kinda jerked us around..making us queue and queue...and switched the time for Amber's talk!!
we missed the first 5 minutes...but apparently someone asked her about buttShots and the kitten board...and she did it again!! she flashed her butt and explained about the kitten board's fascination and we weren't there yet again....
Puff should be along to post more about this bit cos she was the only one there to catch a little of this

Okay Amber mentioned the Kitten two times at least. The second time was on saturday when she was doing her one hour talk.
She is so incredibly funny, she nearly killed me. I shall leave most to Puff and Ruth, cuz they and Halcyon were the cool kitties here. They are so wonderful, I cannot begin to describe *how* wonderful, but you'll know soon enough. I was Deaf and Dutch I tell you.
I will let Puff tell about her second mention of the Kitty (it was in reply to a question) as she was the only one there.
We had been standing in line to have our pic taken with Amber, but it was all messed up and Amber was starting her talk when we were in line, go figure. Puff got back to us, so we only missed the first ten minutes.
I will tell you one of the stories she told, which almost bloody killed me.
She was shopping and as she was getting money from her wallet a tampon flew out of it and landed on the counter. She looked at the sales woman there for a moment, then quickly grabbed the tampon and put it back, feeling quite embarrassed, and hoping the woman did not know who she was. Heh. So after a brief moment of silence the sales woman just said:
"So is Buffy really dead?"
Now this may not be as funny written down like this, but trust me when I say, I hurt myself there laughing.
Amber Benson is every bit as wonderful and beautiful in real life as she seems from all the interviews I have seen, read and stories others have told. Much more so actually.
I shall regale you with the tales of how I made a bloody arse of myself later, heh, she knows who I am now. Poor woman.

At one point someone asked the panel what smell (yes, *smell*) they would describe their characters by. Amber was like "uhm, uhm, I don't really know" when someone from the audience yelled "WILLOW!"
Much laughter and some more comments from the others, and then Amber said something like, "yeah she smells like Willowhand"
I must say that she made 4 kitties very happy with that one. We were the only ones who got it I guess. Heh.
