Ahhhh, here it is! *looks around nervously* looks like everything is just as it was before. Island is still here. Still have the lovely lagoon, non-stick sand, palm trees and hammocks *waves to the captain*, a pile of space hoppers behind that shrub over there next to the pile of non-melting pints of Ben&Jerry's ice cream, couple of tara and willow-mermaid ice cream sculptures with large bites from various locations, key-lime trees at the base of the mountain with the hidden gumdrop tree island, piles of chocolate, various tropical fruit trees, coolers with homemade tropical fruit sorbets, many many fruity tropical drinks and looks like the Hawaiian party (minus the potato alcohol ) is starting up as well. So, does everyone get lei-ed? *snickers* I could use a good lei *snickers again and then runs over to add more scrumptious ice cream to the lacking areas on the sculptures*

It took awhile for the island to float to it's new location apparently. Hopefully everyone will safely arrive soon. Or arrive safely soon. Or soon arrive safely. Word order. Who needs it?

So I guess it's just the two of us. We could

a) Go Exploring

b) cook up great and mighty feast for oncoming hordes of unspoiled kitten islanders

c) eat ice-cream and kick-back

d) want a massage?

I say we bring some ice cream on an exploration trip to find some food to then use to prepare a monstrous feast but take a lot of breaks to much on ice cream and give each other massages.

Or we could just sit around and eat ice cream and give each other massages.

*wanders in looking a little dazed and rather sleepy, her hair sticking out everywhere*

Hey guys... I managed to sleep through all the cuffuffle and woke up in a strange part of the beach with a small furry animal with VERY large ears peering down at me. Rather disconcerting. Don't know what it was but it said its name was Blodwyn and ran off. Seemed friendly. If you want something to do, you can come look for it with me.

*grabs a space hopper, pokes Wolfie with a stick and saunters off*

So it spoke English? Was it purty colors? *jumps up dropping her pint of Phish Food on the sand, jumps onto a space hopper and follows Charlie to look for Blodwyn*
Come on jomarch! Looks like we're exploring after all!

Woo Hoo, we're on a quest. I'm bringing ice-cream and the sun hats and glasses and gum drops.

Oh, I also got a couple of the dancing girls to come along. You never know....

Well, it didn't so much speak English as squeak it, but... It was a funny purple colour with a long nose. Kinda of like a furry anteater on drugs but cuter.

It vanished into a cave around about.... here! Dismount space hoppers, crew! We have a Blodwyn to catch...

(PS. has anyone else noticed the island in kind of... floating? I think we've been here so long, poor old HMS Spoilerfree has gotten pissed off and started towing us out to sea...)

ok, what do we do with it after we catch it? Could we make it the island mascot??? It's cute and purple and we don't have an island mascot do we?

*Jomarch dismounts from her space hopper and chatters incessively as they enter dark cave*

*follows jomarch and Charlie into the cave after Blodwyn* now, after we catch him, we're gonna still let him run about freely, right? I don't think island mascots like to be stuck in cages or anything like that. Oh, hey! We should use some ice cream to lure him towards us. I'll bet it likes peanuts. What B&J's ice cream has peanuts in it? jomarch? did you pick up some ice cream with peanuts? *continues babbling about ice cream as she walks further into the cave*

SQUEEK!!

oh! I almost stepped on Blodwyn! Sorry, dear!

*bends down to offer some ice cream to Blodwyn and reaches over to pet it*

Well La, I would recommend we use Monkey Wrench (Banana meets Peanut Butter Cup -- A wacky whirl of banana ice cream & peanut butter ice cream mixed with fudge chunks, walnuts & peanut butter cups.)

I bet the Blodwyn would like that.

PS. Yes on the no cage rule. It will roam about freely and maybe the captain will make it official and give it a rank.

Well, I don't see why we shouldn't have a mascot... We have a cat and a rat but they're pretty much pets...

*The exploring Kittens stop suddenly as a tiny door in the cave wall opens in front of them and Blodwyn appears, wearing an apron saying 'Kiss the Cook' and holding a tea towel*

"Ah, I've been expecting you..." it says matter-of-factly. "Would you care to step in for a cup of tea and some bloofer biscuits?"

And waving a beckoning arm, it toddles back off through the little door. Jomarch, La and Charlie look at each other, shrug and stoop to squeeze through the door...

*looks around the room and sees a small cave with a kitchen area and a small kitchen table set for tea, reminiscent of Rabbit's house in the Disney Winnie-the-Pooh cartoons. follows jomarch and Charlie to the table and sits down in front of a plate of wonderfully delicate looking bloofer biscuits*

Well, it's nice to meet you, Blodwyn. Would you care for some Monkey Wrench ice cream?

[edited to change "cookies" to "biscuits", being an American kitty, i generally use the former, but I figure bloofer biscuits flows better than bloofer cookie ]

*SWoRDie rows ashore yet again, only to find that there are relatively few kittens already there, so grabs the *best* sunlounger in the *best* spot and helps himself to a tall g&t [with ice, lemon and just a dash of bitters]. Ahhh if only Survivor were like this*

The Blodwyn sniffs at the ice cream offered by La and sucks it all up!.

Then in very dignified voice says :

It is very nice to meet you too. It's been so long since I've had guests and naked ones at that. Please have some bloofer biscuits, they go very well with your ice cream.

Why yes, dear Blodwyn, these are two of our [b:97acf3bf1c] very[/b:97acf3bf1c] best dancing girls. We have many of them with us on the island.

*tastes one of the bloofer biscuits*

Wow! Excellent. If it's okay with my two companions, I'll trade you the use of some dancing girls for a supply of your bloofer biscuits. As you probably know, there are many of us on the island, and I'm sure everyone would love to try your biscuits.

And, yes, I also noticed that the island was floating. I also noticed that there was another island, floating our way ... I can't see it too well, at the moment, except that it seems to be purple and silver in colour. Was gonna climb our mountain to give it a better look.

*waves at Charlie, and pokes her back (a forefinger to the third tickley rib on the left), before tucking a spotting scope under his arm, and marching off up the mountain*

Have another 12 steps a-brewin' too. Stand by for wackiness as only a Wolfie can provide. As soon as I can get this damned straight jacket off to reach the *gnnn* blasted *ack* keys...

*arrives at the top of the mountain, a little breathless, and saunters up to Wolfie*

Hey hon, see anything? I brought Blodwyn. He was a little concerned to hear his island was floating. He's been here for 518 years apparently, born and raised, and I guess we just busted in on his bachelor pad.

*sits down on a hummock to peer at the purple blob in the distance*

(oh, and leave my third rib alone, you - that's my tickliest - and my tickle screams would upset the whole island, I warn you)

Imagine my fright when I couldn't find The Kitten this morning!
*blundering around the mysteriously floating island*

*happily distracting self with thoughts of exotic desserts*

I'll whip up a batch of Isles Flottantes while I wait for everyone to get back for the partee.

*snacking on some chocolate to ease the EZBoard mental block*

*Chuckles*. Third ribs are *always* the tickliest. But screams can be shocking (especially for 500-plus-aged residents), so I shall desist.

*Peers through the spotting scope*

Hmmm. Seems to be a Perelandrian Floating Island. Very strange, as they only come from Venus. Very comfortable, though. Friendly red/gold dragons, green Venus-types (naked, of course), and trees that grow silver fruit, that, if you stand beneath them, and burst them, you get showered with this refreshing liquid, which revitalises you and nourishes you at the same time. Cool, eh? We could dock with it, and have our own holiday island (assuming the Captain and First Mate don't commandeer it as a new "Brig" ...

Note: If you don't have the faintest blue-blazes what the friggety-hop I am talking about, you have to read Voyage To Venus, by CS Lewis ... Of course, you'll also want to read Out Of The Silent Planet, first, as that one goes before ... Very, very good. If you only know his Narnia stories, well, you're in for a [i:c18e4c7656] real[/i:c18e4c7656] treat ...

Oooh! You know, I've wanted to try walking on a Perelandrian floating island forever! What with them changing shape with the waves underneath them, I thought it sounded like fun. You ready to jump on and spend a few hours falling over and collapsing on our faces, Wolfie, when it gets near enough?

(and for the uninitiated, he's right, you REALLY should read the Space Trilogy - ought to be compulsory...)

*Pixie blunders through the jungle onto the beach* Oh thank God! After all the changes and the headache of reregistering I definitely need some time in a hammock or cuddle puddle. And ice cream!! Uh, Blodwyn, it's nice to meet you! *hugs all island kitties*

Oh my goodness! jomarch! everybody! look! The [b:0a69814d11] real[/b:0a69814d11] Tara and Willow mermaids have come up to the very edge of the lagoon. I think they like the sculptures of them! I'll bet they'd love some ice cream too (everybody likes ice cream).

*walks over towards the Tara and Willow mermaids with offering of various flavors of ice cream. the Tara mermaid lets out a trilling song and takes a pint of Phish food which she then starts feeding to the Willow mermaid who gives Tara a [i:0a69814d11] look[/i:0a69814d11] and then dives into the lagoon. Tara follows after grabbing a couple other pints of ice cream*

Hee hee, looks like they're going to be having some fun with that!

mmmm, don't mind if i do. Phish food happens to be my favorite. ... Oh wait, didn't I already say that about Half Baked? Okay, you caught me. I pretty much like any B&J's flavor with chocolate in it. I have the hugest weekness for chocolate it's seriously not even funny. Or maybe that makes it really really funny. Oh I don't know what I'm talking about!

*runs away and jumps into the Lagoon for a swim to clear her mind which has been muddled by Easter chocolate*
