W/T mention in local gay rag

Postby Unregistered(d) » Mon Mar 25, 2002 12:41 pm

Just wanted to share this little W/T blurb from Portland's monthly gay rag, Just Out.

This comes from their Television section titled, Inside the Box: These days we really are everywhere on the tube, by Andy Mangels, and features a cute Season 4 promo shot of Aly.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
(8pm, Tuesday, WB)
Throughout this season, the relationship between young witches, Willow (Alyson Hannigan) and Tara (Amber Benson) has deepened considerably. In an unheralded moment during a recent episode, the two shared a loving and passionate kiss. By the way, in a hilarious crossover scene with WB's Angel, Willow helped counsel Cordelia, who thought her friend Harmony was a lesbian, only to find out she was a vampire instead. Although the final episodes of the season will put Tara through some hardships, expect more lesbian loving when Buffy moves to UPN next fall. -end article-

Yay, more and more people are finally catching on to the sweetest, truest same sex relationship on TV.
The article goes on to summarize several other shows with gay characters or themes.

"You should ride with me sometime. I guarantee safety and fun."

Oh Yeah TVsurfer Joss is gonna play the angst card to the very end. He loves to make us squirm, cry and beg for more. He is one mean man and I love him for it.

Well I never had ANY doubt that Amber would be back next season but it's always good to hear some confirmations about it.

"expect more lesbian loving when Buffy moves to UPN next fall"...sounds good to me

I mean, I would love to know where this writer gets his/her info but they sound pretty confident about it. So, I mean not that I really doubted it, but I do need more official confirmation.

I never doubted that Amber would be back next season, but still it's reassuring to hear confirmation of it. Joss really likes to take us on emotional rollercoaster rides.

Wow! Thank you for posting this. I practically fell off my chair while reading this. I am smiling from ear to ear. I think I will celebrate by watching my tape of favorite BtVS scenes(which by the way seem to hold {just} every Willow and Tara scene) Yes, I have way too much time on my hands.

I hate to sound like a killjoy, but this writer probably knows less about the fate of Amber, the show, and the storyline than we do. She is just extrapolating.
Now, I totally beleave Tara and Willow wil be together next year and on the UPN, but thats based on just a guess.

I think after all what's happened to Tara in "Tough Love" she'll move in with Willow in S6 and once she's finally recovered from her confrontation with Glory meet Willow's Parents.

I don't have much doubt that Tara will be back next season. That's not what's so upsetting....it's the way she has to get there, by going through all of this stuff first.

It's like 'The Road Less Travelled' by Robert Frost. Worth it in the end, but boy, is it killing me now.

I know what you mean Ruth, all this anguish is difficult to endure but in the end it will definitely be worth all the heartache.

I hope so Roxton...naaah, who am I kidding. I *know* so. I have to keep believing.

Roxton, it does. I had an epiphany last night when I was re-watching Restless with Puff. Granted, I *was* stoned, but you know, it all made sense. And I figured out something that, even if it's not true, it's made me *really* happy.

I believe.
