It's Tax Day Monday, MKF!

Postby willow420 » Sun Apr 14, 2002 9:56 pm

I hope that everyone has gotten there taxes done and already in the mail, but here's a reminder for those who haven't.

Today is also my birthday so I decided to have a Willow and Tara question associated with birthdays.
What do you think are Willow and Tara's favorite type of cake and ice cream?

I know it's silly but I thought the Kitties could use something a little light for such a nerve racking day.

Have a great Monday Kitties! :grin

I yuv you Liz. Happy Birthday darlin'. I'm a little tipsy right now so I shall merely wish you breasts and cake. Not in that order though. ;)

I vote for jam Victoria sponge for Willow and Tara. Keep it simple. Lots of cream. :)

Happy birthday, Liz!
And it was SMG's 25th birthday yesterday - didn't see it mentioned anywhere on the board.
For some reason, I think that Willow would be one of the few people in the world who actually likes fruit cake. And I reckon Tara prefers ice cream to cake. ;)

Cake. I want cake. I had no breakfast, and I'm bloody starving.

I think Tara'd like carrot cake. I've no idea why I think that. I can just imagine Tara eating carrot cake, and Anya objecting because of her hatred of bunnies, and therefore, carrots.

My printer is possessed. It keeps trying to print things, even when there is nothing to print - even when it's not switched on!!!

*Bangs printer with a hammer*

Moloch, you bugger! Get out of my printer!!!

Well, I guess it's happy Birthdays all round, then. Hugs for all :D

Also, have you noticed how impressive these avatars are becoming (and I wonder which courageous soul is gonna try the Liquify filter on one of the more *ahem* popular characters for {i]their[/i] avatar?) As for my own avatar, you might be forgiven to think I don't have one. Well, you're wrong. Nope *sniffs self-importantly*, mine is very impressive - impressively blue-tac'd onto my monitor screen - as I can't figure out how to do the real thing. Keep reading the instructions, keep falling asleep. It's an inevitable chain reaction. Shame, really, 'cause making a little flick book to animate the bugger took ages ... ;)

Rally says:

"Hrrm ice cream... Tara Vanilla and Willow Strawberry, erve course...

gladly! Seriously, though, on Ice Cream... tough decision... I'd personally say Ben & Jerry's chocolate brownie fudge because I don't eat anything else, but....
It has to be ben&jerry's, though, cuz they're all with the support of the earth.

Happy Birthday Liz. :)
Hope you have a fabulous day...*hug*

I think that Willow would like those crunchy ice creams, you know the ones with caramel and chocolate, and Tara...I think she likes tricolore ice creme...that's the one with chocolate, vanilla and strawberry in one, like in stripes...
I don't know if you know it, maybe tricolore ice creme's only available in Denmark...

Anyway...Happy Monday Kittens! :grin

It's all about the Ben&Jerry's. You know, over in the Spoilerfree thread, we have lots and lots of Ben&Jerry's. Every flavor even. Served to you by attractive men and women who deliver kisses with each scoop you order. You know you want to go join us over there. You know you do. Don't deny it! You really really do.

I think Willow :willow would be a chocolate chip cookie dough type gal. And Tara :tara ... maybe Phish food. Or maybe she's a peanut butter chocolate person and would like some peanut butter truffle. I know I would. Damn, all this talk of ice cream is making me crave Ben&Jerry's.

Happy Birthday, Liz! :bounce

Happy Monday! :grin

edited to say: I think in the states, tricolore is known as Neopolitan

"I don't know if you know it, maybe tricolore ice creme's only available in Denmark..."

In Canada it's called "Neopolitan" ice cream.

I think Tara would enjoy Vanilla, and Willow would probably prefer Rocky Road

On ice-cream it would have to be Ben&Jerry's nothing would do.

On another note I went to see Bend It Like Beckham yesterday I don't know if it will ever get an American release date but if you get the chance go and see it was very funny :grin . An Indian English culture clash wiht womans football and some serious eye-candy

When I think of Willow and Tara and cake or ice cream even, it reminds me of the scene with the icing being licked off the fingers...that was cut :(

Oh I had a very busy weekend and now I am all behind on the kitten and fic :)

Man, don't get me started on my taxes......frelling nightmare.
Yes I get to work on them for 8 straight hours and then I STILL get to pay the government! Woo hoo! This is about as fun as a root canal, only more expensive. :(

Well it is a wonderful day today in Chicago otherwise. Might get to 85! That would be 29 for you Celsius types out there.

Well I am off to mail in my taxes. (grumble...grumble...)
You know you figure I could find a shady tax lawyer living here.

I am now going to raid my fridge freezer... that or go to the shops and buy some ice cream!! mmm! good question!!!

...so I guess this isn't the place to mention that I did my taxes way back in February, got my refund a week later and spent it all just as quick? ;)

I think that Tara and Wills would go for that really sensual Belgian Dark Chocolate Ice Cream that Godiva should be arrested for :D Lovely stuff....or any of that Frusen Gladje ice cream that I can not seem to find here in the States anymore. Pfft! I say. Tara might love marble cake and Willow seems to me to be a Pound Cake kind of girl. Of course, methinks that when they're feeling particularly decadent, some pure divine New York Cheesecake would fit the bill ever so nicely. Ummm....now I'm wanting to take the next flight to NYC. I want cheesecake and a rather large Corned Beef on Rye!

VANILLA?!? How can anyones faourite ice cream flavour be vanilla...Of all the flavours in the world...*mutters to self*!! Sorry, I just don't.get.it! But to each their own.
Hmm I'm gonna say that Tara's fave ice cream flavour would be the rich chocolate on chocolate and Willows would be something simple like strawberry or chocolate, but she'd have to mix some things up with it - you know Fruit Loops, sprinkles, sherbert, etc...I don't know, I just see her having fun mixing it up like that.
Well I don't hae to do taxes :) THANK GOD! Lessons and lessons of maths on taxation has convinced me to have someone else do it indefinately! For now though being under age is my saviour!

Eh, Pix, I've been told that I'm anal....guess that just proves it 8o And Ben & Jerry's...ummm...there was this Ben & Jerry's shop in Chapel Hill, NC where I lived...was my home during the summer...I'd skip out of work early (worked for Lockheed Martin then), and brave the hideous afternoon traffic to hang out in Chapel Hill, eat ice cream and watch the co-eds flitting about University of North Carolina's campus. Nothing like a Chunkey Monkey shake when the humidity is at 93% :p

thankfully as a minor , me have no tax to worry about , well for a short few months anyway until i undergo a metamorphasis into a large adult creature and look like this - :) but with really long legs.

......now on to the important topic , hmmmmmm , with the whole ice cream issue , i would have to go with Ben and Jerry's Fish Food - i mean they couldn't resist it . i mean with the loverly ice cream and the great big junks of chocolate fish...it just begs to be devoured . cakes......hmmm.....i'd have to go with Fairy-Cakes for Tara because they're so sweet and something devilish for Willow - say Death By Chocolate.................

sugar can be so evil...................

Just OT for a second: Kieli, can I ask what your signature is from ("I withdrew from the world, not because I had enemies but because I had friends. Not because they did me ill turn, as is customary, but because they thought me better than I am. It was a lie I could not endure." --Albert Camus)

Happy Birthday Liz! :)

I did my federal taxes in January and my return went to paying off my student loans. Joy and rapture. Of course my state taxes I forgot about until Saturday, so I have to mail them today. Luckily I get $20 back and I work in the state capitol area so it shouldn't be a problem.

This was a fun weekend for me. I managed to slice one of my fingers while cooking so I had to go and get five stitches. Makes typing fun (and that is mainly what I do at my job... yeah)

As for the W/T question, I think Willow would like mint chocolate chip and Tara would like chocolate (good god that's a lot of shake!!) as for cake, I don't know... perhaps yellow cake with chocolate frosting?

Have a great monday all and good luck with your taxes!

Hmmm....if I remember right, I was reading a introduction by some author or other in one of the many reprints of Camus' [b:142b48d925]"The Stranger"[/b:142b48d925]....in the intro they had this quote from him that I found to be rather haunting and self effacing. There is this one website that has quite a collection of quotes from him: Albert Camus: The Stranger. Worth the read. I have a ton of other Camus links if you wish to know them.

It's the whole existentialist thing that I got caught up in as an English Literature/Secondary Education major way back in the 80s. I was a sucker for Ayn Rand too. I have most of her major books...you know, [b:142b48d925]Atlas Shrugged[/b:142b48d925], [b:142b48d925]We the Living[/b:142b48d925], [b:142b48d925]Fountainhead[/b:142b48d925], etc.
