Happy Monday, y'all. Hope everyone has a great day.

What are some of your favorite non-[i:7f69f4ac12] BtVS[/i:7f69f4ac12] websites? Make our day and link us.

W/T Q of the Day: What would be Willow and/or Tara's favorite sites (besides the Kitten, of course)?

Here are some of mine. Most of these are pretty well known. Trust me, you do [b:7f69f4ac12] not[/b:7f69f4ac12] want to see what lurks in the shadows of my bookmards, so I've stuck to the classics. (It's all for you, [b:7f69f4ac12] bytrsuite[/b:7f69f4ac12] and [b:7f69f4ac12] xita[/b:7f69f4ac12].) ;)

Yatta! (Fuck you!!! I've got burger powers!!!)

Weeee (Gonads in the lightning!)

Guess the Dictator and/or Television Sit-Com Character (But you can be Tara not Kara, too.)

FOUND magazine (Check out the audio.)

Hee! I love those links, maudmac. I think Weeee is my favorite for now. I kind of think Willow and Tara would like that one too. It's so perfect in it's randomness. The PONG movie is just cool.

All the links I've saved up are on the other computer, so I have to give you all the only one I can remember at the moment.

Joe Cartoon Home of such classics as Frog Bender 2000 and Micro-Gerbil 2001.

If I can remember any more I'll come back and add them. Happy Monday everyone.

The Onion
The Spam Letters - ever wondered what would happen if somebody wrote replies to spam emails? Well, with this site you can find out.
Alternet - alternative media, thought-provoking articles.
Slayage - best BtVS news source around. (Okay, I know we're supposed to be linking non-BtVS stuff, but still...)
The BBC - excellent site, lots of interesting information and one of the best news pages online.
Arts & Letters Daily
Uh, that's all I can think of off the top of my head. Have a good day, kitties!

It's been so long since I was on the internet on my own computer that I don't even remember most of the non-Buffy sites I visit regularly. *grumble*
*kicks DSL people again* No smut for you!

Then again, there really weren't many non-Buffy sites that I frequented. *sigh*

But these two rock:

Astrodienst, Free Horoscopes
I love this site. Equally fabulous for serious students of astrology and the merely curious alike. Not only does it offer free birth charts and detailed, personalized daily horoscopes, but cool other features like partner compatibility and even an AstroTravel feature that pinpoints locations around the world that have special resonance for you. Really freakin' cool.

Homestar Runner 'Toons, home of the Awesomest Would-Be Evil Ruler of the World ever, Strong Bad. Not to be confused with his brothers, Strong Mad, and Strong Sad. Ah, yes. The brothers Strong. Don't miss "Strong Bad Sings," the DVD-style commentaries on "The King of Town" and "The Yellow Dello," "Holiday Greetings," or "Strong Bad's Email." I particularly recommend the "Trevor the Vampire" email. Heh. For obvious reasons.

Have a great day, Kitties.

some of my favorites:

KNAC.com: need music to listen to as i surf

Metal Sludge: reading the 20 questions they do with various bands is good for a laugh

Camp Chaos: loved the napster/metallica spoofs that they did

Willow would visit computer sites, places to buy gifts for Tara or her friends, and maybe fanfic sites. Tara would check out sites on nature or animals, places to buy gifts for Willow or her friends.

Okay, this has nothing to do with the subject and I'm sorry, because it clearly points to how dull my life is and how I don't actually use the internet for anything other than looking at the Kitten Board but...

I bought a Buffy novel today called [b:54cb653ad3] Crossings[/b:54cb653ad3] by Mel Odom. It's got a fair bit of Tara in it. The only reason I haven't outright posted the Willow/Tara stuff in it is because it's a wee bit angsty. It's set in the latter half of Season 5.

I will gladly post those bits if people want, but I didn't want to upset anyone by doing it. There are also some really cute moments too.

And I tried to find the Buffy novels thread but couldn't. Sigh. I'm not good on a computer. Apparently. ;)

And if this novel has already been mentioned (it was published in June 2002) then please, ignore me by all means. Heh.

www.freearcade.com can definitly see Willow playing computer games in downtime or when needing a break. Tara too if they find her some cute ones to play.

I have no car.

Well, I have a car. My car is broken. Radiator went bust on Tuesday. Attempts to patch radiator by Brother o' CaptMurdock unsuccessful. CaptMurdock riding bus to work, except today when BetNoir (friend and former girlfriend of CaptMurdock) gave me a ride. Yesterday me and Kid CaptMurdock had to go grocery shopping. Go by bus, come back by taxi. O what fun.

Enough of that.

Okay... this is actually one of my favourite online animated cartoon sites. It's a guy-girl thing... but i try to imagine them both being very very cute girls. I hope you'll all like it as much as I do. Um... it's has Korean in it. Don't worry though... it's easy to navigate without knowing Korean. ;) Go to the site and from the menu click ANIMATION. The animation called Various Kissing Ways is soooo cool! Click on the audience to see the different ways of kissing. :grin

Weird, I was checking out maudmac's link for found magazine, and under "found notes", there's one called "sorry for laughing" from glenview, il, found in the local high school, which would be the high school I went to, in the town I grew up in that my parents still live in that I'll be going back to in less than a week. I even took french in high school, but I don't remember ever writing or receiving that note, and I don't recognize the handwriting either, but wouldn't that have been weird? :eek

edited: Oh my! I was checking out the Metal Sludge website that grimaldi posted and flipping through the 20 questions and came across "Josie Pearl." Who went to the high school I mentioned above, and was a friend of mine in middle school and high school. [edited to remove link cuz I don't think they allow specific links to their pages cuz of that whole having to agree you're 18 or older thing, but if you're terribly interested, check out the 20 questions from march something, 2001 with Josie Pearl]
Geeze, what else am I going to find in these "random" links. :grin

Some faves of mine:

Linwood Barclay, a Toronto-based humour columnist. Fun guy.

This Modern World, a very liberal and no-holds-barred comic. Always thought-provoking.

Pic-a-Pix puzzles, fun little logic-and-art pieces. Great for wasting time at work.

That's all I have for now. I might remember more later...

I'm sure Willow would be researching or possibly building a website of her own. Tara? Hmm she probably stays away for the internet and asks Willow to look up stuff for her.

When I'm at the Kitten I'm usually here as well:
Playsite.com
A games site where I spend endless hours playing Monopoly.

When I'm really bored I'm here:
Movie Bloopers
A great site that lists hundreds of mistakes in movies.

If you're bored and have the time to read a long article, try this site Redneck Neighbor. It's hilarious!

I don't know what sites Tara and Willow would visit, but I do wonder if the Magic Box has a site. If not, I'm sure Willow could design one for them.

Ok, I'm an info nut, but I'm [u:bbb8953b1a]sure[/u:bbb8953b1a] that my info links would be extremely boring, so I'm going to share my funny ones.. specifically, my comic links.. 'cause I love the comics.. I can't share them all, there isn't enough time...

Zits: A highschool boy & his friends & family .. Dad's an orthodontist.

FoxTrot: They've done jokes about Buffy, Star Trek, Highlander, the X-files, Math (yeah!!) and lots of other inside & topic jokes

Tank McNamara: Sports News, or Jock Shorts.. usually very current sports stuff.. & on target..

Jeff McNelly's Shoe: Newspaper setting with birds as the characters, created by an editorial cartoonist.. now carried on by his friends.... some really good puns & jokes.. at least IMHO

Real Life Adventures: Funny takes on life's little moments..

Buckles: A comic about a dog.. hey, just 'cause my avatar is my kitty, doesn't mean that I don't like dogs, too!!

Hagar the Horrible: Hey, I'm descended from the vikings, I've got to read this one.. or my family will disown me!!

I always need a laugh.. and some of these help.. and why did all the bad ones surface today?? and if anyone wants to share their favorites with me.. tell me where to look!! (& not 'where to go')

[i:bbb8953b1a] (If any of these links give you a graphic that the comic is not available right now, you've got your firewall set high.. ) [/i:bbb8953b1a]

Oh thanks Ruth, I look forward to seeing some of W&T passages. By the way how much of W&T is in the book, I am considering buying it, but only if they is a significant amount, rather than being just some filler in the book?

Postby tommo » Mon Jul 15, 2002 11:49 am

Well, I'll explain a bit more when I post the quotes, but there's a fair bit. That's why I'm leaving it until tomorrow. The story takes place in the last half of Season 5 and there's a main plot involving Buffy and Willow, and a sub-plot that's played out with Tara and Giles to begin with.

The main thrust of the Willow and Tara scenes comes from the use of magic and how that is explored between the two of them.

I rather think this book is intended for the younger audience, so it's angsty, but not as angsty as it could be. There are some coupley scenes, but you know, again, not as fully explored as the Chris Golden novel, I'm sure.

I've just made it my aim to buy every novel with Tara in it. And hey, we're on Season 5 already. Who'd have thought? From the looks of it though, I really think they're going to cover stuff that's been on the show. Um, bad stuff, that is.

But it's getting late here so I'll type up the stuff tomorrow and post it. :)

Thanks for the added information, Ruth, and it does pique my interest so I will probably by this book. I just wish we could get an official book that centers of W&T with the other characters being the sub-plot. But I have a feeling only in my dreams that will happen.
