For those interested, Alexis Denisof is scheduled to appear in a few episodes of this series in the upcoming season. Wouldn't it be nice if they could sneak in a cameo for Alyson as well? ;-)

:party That would be awesome. I'm really happy that Alexis is at least appearing on the show. I wonder how he'll fit in. Perhaps be one of the fellow rogue fighters. I just saw Epitah One the other day and I'm really excited for the second season of Dollhouse! I admit that I, like many of you was a skeptic of the show at first. I was a bit confused about it's storyline, and I wasn't sure how the plot was progress. But now, I really enjoy it and anxiously await for its return. I really enjoy the characters and the writing and have become even more riveted by the show after watching Epitah One.

For those of you Dollhouse fans that have yet to see it, I recommend downloading it from somewhere because it is great. It takes place in the future and we get to see a world in chaos due to the activites that were going on in the many dollhouses across the world. Plus, Felicia Day, who many of you know as Vi from the 7th season of BtVS, is on it as some kind of rogue fighter, who is struglling to stay alive and retain her own personality and not by swiped clean and imprinted. Anyways, the new season seems very promising. I can't wait until September 25th for it's return!

Well on AfterEllen i read that Alexis is going to be playing a US senator that's leading a hunt to track down the underground organization. So hopefully with that character he'll be in more than just a couple of episodes. Amy Acker was a "guest star" in the whole first season of Dollhouse and she was pretty much in all the eps, so maybe Alexis will be in quite a few as well.

I hope it's not true, but I read from another kitten post that Amy Acker's appearance will be brief...that's a real bummer.

But I guess to make it up for the fans, did anyone else read that Summer Glau is going to be a reoccurring character? That's pretty awesome!

It has been announced on E online that Summer Glau IS joining the cast of Eliza's series, "Dollhouse". She be portraying a character who has a past with Echo.

It's a reoccuring character.

so has any other kittens watched the 1st ep of season 2?...i just finished watching it on Hulu.com and i thought it was awesome!!

first and foremost i thought Amy Acker's performance was amazing! i'm really sad she's gonna be leaving....no more Dr. Saunders/Whiskey to look forward too...i heard that she's just gonna be in only 2 more eps. :cry ...,also i was totally excited to see that possible kiss between Whiskey and Echo in one of Echo's remembered flashbacks...idk maybe that's just my hopeful totally gay side of me wanting to see Eliza D. and Amy A. kissing :drool

it was also awesome to see Alexis Denisof in the very first ep...no sign of Summer Glau yet.

I certainly agree about the awesomeness of Amy Acker's performance--she is still gorgeous even with those scars they put on her face! I, too, will be very sorry to see her go. :(

Alexis' appearance was little more than a cameo in this episode, but I'm sure we'll be seeing more of him as the Season progresses. :)

The "Instinct" ep was another great ep but it was just so sad....and it probably has to do with adding a very very cute and adorable baby into the mix....but messing around with the mind to actually change the physical body to form a maternal instinct and making Echo believe she had a baby and take it away....ugh now that's just beyond cruel!!....i hated the Dollhouse before but now i really really hate it....i so can't wait for Alexis Denisof's character (forgot the senator's name) to bring it down!.....and it's interesting that Echo herself is becoming more and more a person with her own thoughts and feelings....i wonder how that's gonna play out in the future............. :hmm

....and no sign of Amy Acker!!! and they had a new doctor! i guess she really is gone...... :cry

So I've watched the first season. I've watched the second season up to yesterday. And I still don't know how I feel about this show. I really want to like it but something is missing for me. I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe it's the lack of chemistry and group dynamic and interaction between the cast. Now, I know it's difficult to have the dolls bonding significantly when they are wiped at the end of their engagements but... *sigh* I don't know.

Does anyone know the real reason Amy isn't on anymore? Was that always suppose to be her arc? I felt like she was the most complex and interesting character on there and now she's gone.

the reason Amy left so suddenly is because she she got offered to be on a new show on ABC called "Happy Town".....i bet Joss would have made her a regular and continued her story arc if she didn't go onto the other show.....her story arc was definitely cut short and i totally agree with you when you said that she was the most complex and interesting character on there.....she will be missed

I too will miss AA--she really was one of Joss's greatest discoveries from the BtVS/Angel days,

One certainly can't say that they aren't going "all out" for the show. This last episode had as guest stars Vincent Ventresca (formerly of the excellent "Invisible Man" series), Clyde Kusatsu and even Keith Carradine (also on "Dexter"). After the hiatus, Alexis Denisof will be coming back (Yay!). Even behind the camera, none other than Jonathan Frakes was doing the directing!

BTW, the writing credits listed someone named Jed Whedon. Is he perchance a relative??

Sadly, Dollhouse has been pulled from the Fox line up for the entire month of November...It will not return till December with a two hour event introducing Summer Glau to the show.

According to reports; things are looking bleak for the show...So, support for it to be sent to Fox is not only nice...But utterly necessary.

Write now! :kgeek

UPDATE:

According to reports...Amy is scheduled to return for two more episodes before the series concludes it's run this spring.

Since I'm here, somewhere in the middle of nowhere, I have to wait for the DVDs to come out... :(
Does anyone have any idea when season 2 will be finished?

it's been confirmed that Dollhouse is officially cancelled

:sob i will miss it a lot

Dollhouse Cancelled

Joss Whedon has commented on the news of Dollhouse's cancellation at Whedonesque.com. Says Whedon,

"Hmm. Apparently my news is not news.

I don't have a lot to say. I'm extremely proud of the people I've worked with: my star, my staff, my cast, my crew. I feel the show is getting better pretty much every week, and I think you'll agree in the coming months. I'm grateful that we got to put it on, and then come back and put it on again.

I'm off to pursue internet ventures/binge drinking. Possibly that relaxation thing I've read so much about. By the time the last episode airs, you'll know what my next project is. But for now there's a lot of work still to be done, and disappointment to bear.

Thank you all for your support, your patience, your excellent adverts. See you again. -j."

I know it is a couple of days off, but have you ever noticed that Asshat's, I mean Whedon's shows are always canceled on Friday the 13ths?

Angel was cancled on Feb 13 and Firefly on a Dec 13.

Yet one more reason to enjoy Friday the 13th!

LOL Tim! I knew there was a reason I loved Friday the 13th!

I'm sorry for you guys who enjoyed Dollhouse. Never watched it, but somehow can't help but feel a tiny euphoric rush of glee whenever JW's shows are cancelled.

Tough luck Joss. Next time, stick to the web where I'm not exposed as much to your work. Kthnx, bai!

Well, jeez, I woulda thought that Friday's episode was the series Finale. Certainly everything seemed to be "wrapped up". Yet it appears we will be treated to a "20-years-in-the-future" story for next week or next time.

A message from beyond the pipes??

I'm a little confused. I can't really understand why there are so many people on this board who enjoy to see Joss Whedon fail. I mean, after all, he did create Willow and Tara, whom we all love so much. I agree that I'll be forever annoyed at him for destroying their relationship in the way that he did but I also have to be grateful to him for all the Willow-Tara goodness that inspires our fan fic and brightens our days :P

I'm sure he isn't trying to piss anyone off by making these new shows. He's just doing what he loves. I'm not sure how anyone can be so against him if they love W/T? Without his writing, we wouldn't have them at all.

Justified12, you need to go back a read the FAQ and some of the past posts around here.

Simplly put, the man is an asshole.

Frankly, I am not happy to see him fail, I am absolutely gleeful.
