Evil council :rage , kidnapping Tabitha like that. Like those backwards idiots could raise a child, hah! As with most CoW plans this one didn't work out either of course, how dumb can they get ?

I'll say their not so much concerned for Tabitha's welfare but more how much they can control her. Travers was probably mostly sorry that his team was captured, I'm not to sure he wont try again.

Did Tabitha get to sing at all ? About the 'happily ever after' part... somehow I doubt thats going to happy, given the town the live in. I suppose it's possible to have somewhat normal familly life with a vampire as your mother, still can't be all that easy. (though having Tara suddenly turn back to human in the last chapter would be kinda cheating too, one of several times this story surprised me)

I wish them lotsa luck with it ! :D

Thanks for writing this one!! :wave

strongwoman66 – Thanks. I’m glad you liked the story. Yes you are right Tara will never grow older. That’s something that they will have to deal with as Willow ages.

Susan – You are so welcome. Thanks for reading and commenting.

Stef – Thanks. I’m glad you liked the ending.

Tiff – Thanks a lot. A sequel is not out of the question but also not on my radar at this time.

Grimmy – Yeah, stupid council and their dumb ideas. Ok, the happily ever after part is a tongue in cheek hit. But life’s always an adventure isn’t it? Yeah, there was no way I’d magically turn her back. Where’s the fun in that? :grin

I read completely through this story today... had to see how it ended. You have such a way of bringing your writing to life, the story, the character nuances, love, angst, joy, and lovemaking so hot it scorches... wow :bow .

Thank you

Kim - I'm glad you liked it. I really enjoyed writing this story and having the kittens read it. Yes, I find it hot too. Tee hee.

:angry :rage :tear Bloody sodding hell! I spend more than an hour writing a reply, and then I sodding well lose it! Stupid bloody computer! Arrrghhh!!!!

Good god that is annoying as hell. Now I have to do it all over again!

Okay, calm down. Take a breath, and resist the urge to fling the monitor out the window.

Okay, I read the entire story in one sitting this afternoon, though it's a quarter to eleven at night now. It had me gripped from start to finish. You hit the ground running this time. The first paragraph hits you like a punch to the guts, even when you know what's coming.

Always magic between them: First MAGIC between them, and later magic BETWEEN them.

I loved that line. It so perfectly captured the essence of their problems in such a subtle nuance. I also loved Willow's little threat to Spike.

Do it or you go through the window and get a sunburn

Great line.

I think I noticed a little flaw in your logic regarding the need to revoke Tara's invitation into the house, or vampire locks as you put it. There wouldn't have been any need to do this for Tara, because she'd never been invited in as a vampire. Invitations from prior to turning don't carry over. That was showed in either Buffy or Angel, I'm not sure which. Sorry. Please spare me from your wrath for daring to accuse you of being wrong. :-D

Her intellectual ability already slow from the long and tiring day, she uttered the very witty, “Huh?”

I can totally relate to that line. My eyes are starting to get bleary already, but I refuse to go to bed until I finish this. For the second time. :happy

I have to admit, I never even considered the happiness clause on the curse. Shame on me. Though, that particular clause has always pissed me off. Sure, it worked perfectly from a dramatic standpoint in the show, but where those gypies really that bloody moronic? Sure, lets curse the guy, but leave him an out so he can return to his old mass-murdering ways. Never mind that he'll probably wreak a terrible vengence on us if that ever happens. :wtf Idiots.

Tara's little personality change was interesting to read, but it didn't really seem to last that long. Same thing with the burning of the tattoo. My best guess is that they were related somehow, as a side effect of the warding spell that kept the demon out and Tara's soul in. Once that was assumedly permanant, both symptoms seemed to disappear.

sure. Toss me a smoke

Whew, you almost lost me at this point. There's little more guarranteed to piss me off than smoking. Losing half my tongue to cancer that I completely blame on passive smoking hasn't exactly helped my tolerance of that particular nasty habit. Thank god for this.

But no smoking ok? It tastes gross

"So baby? Uh. You feeling ok? Not evil or homicidal or anything right?”

I love that line. Trust Willow to just come out and say it like that.

Nice little cliffhanger with the daughter revelation. Using the name Tabitha was a nice touch. You've gotta love it when Giles shows a complete lack of knowledge about pop culture.

Got to admit, I'm another person who doesn't really like the idea of Timmy/Timothy still being part of their life. Not really much of a person for forgiveness when it comes to something like rape. I'm much more of an old testament kind of person, eye for and eye and all that crap. I understand where you and Tara are coming from though, and I admire you for having that kind of strength. Just don't expect it from me.

That little shared vision of their mixed pasts was kind of freaky, but at least it showed Willow what Tara had been through. Kind of hard to argue when you see something like that first hand, but you can't blame Willow for her anger. Still, they both have a right to feel betrayed by the other so they'll just have to work through it. Like a broken bone, they'll be the stronger for it.

A lot of people seem to have the reaction to hospitals that Tara did. I have to admit that I never noticed that kind of smell in all the weeks I've spent in them over the past years, but then again I was kind of distracted by all the tubes and asorted other crap sticking out of me. At least she got to say goodbye. That's something that Willow never got the chance to do in the series.

Bloody Watchers Council. Didn't that pretentious pack of wankers learn their lesson the last time they came to Sunnydale. Honestly, those tossers never seem to learn. One of the best things to happen in season 7 was those useless gits getting blown up.

Uncle Mr Giles. I love it. I wonder where she might have picked up that? :-D

I have to ask; are goldfish some kind of snack food? Or are little girls in the US in the habit of eating pet fish?

I loved the way you described Clem. Skin enhanced. :rofl

Good to see that Willow finally understands that magic itself isn't her problem. It was always what she did with it. The problem would never be resolved by simply stopping, because by this point magic is a part of her, it's in her blood. Simply just stopping was never a valid option. It's amazing that it took a child to make her realize this. From the mouths of babes, huh?

No-one really lives happily ever after, do they. We can but dream.

Oh well, another of your stories down. Please, keep them coming. It'll be fun giving you feedback right from the start.

Bye from Down Under.

Darth Pacula – Wow! Now that’s some feedback. Sorry about losing it. I’ve had that happen too. Now, if I writing anything that takes longer than 5 minutes, I do it in word and copy it onto Pens. Otherwise it’s just too frustrating and I end up using words like bloody.

Okay, I read the entire story in one sitting this afternoon, though it's a quarter to eleven at night now.
I’m always amazed when people say that. I take it as such a compliment and I’m glad I could grab and keep your attention.

Yes, yes, yes to that line. It wasn’t the need to revoke Tara’s invitation to the house. You’re right that she has never been invited in as a vampire. Buffy wanted Tara to revoke SPIKE’S invitation.

The happiness clause is idiotic! Even Joss admits that it would be a stupid curse. I mean if this person is happy they get to go back to being a murdering psychopath? How about a moment of happiness and they burst into flames or get boils on their nose or something like that?

Whew, you almost lost me at this point. There's little more guarranteed to piss me off than smoking. Losing half my tongue to cancer that I completely blame on passive smoking hasn't exactly helped my tolerance of that particular nasty habit. Thank god for this.
Believe me you have agreement from me on smoking. I watched my mother die of cancer and that’s really enough convincing for me. But from a vampire’s point of view I think it’s a little different. They aren’t going to die from it and it probably won’t even irritate their asthma. So it would have to be looks or money or sexiness to get them to stop.

Nice little cliffhanger with the daughter revelation.
That’s my favorite of my cliffhangers of all time. I’m glad you like it.

You’re totally welcome to have whatever view you want on grace/forgiveness. To me, it’s a part of the natural soul but I get that not everyone feels like that. Agreed that it’s hard to blame someone after seeing what they’ve been through.

Lol: the watchers. But didn’t you scream when it happened?

I have to ask; are goldfish some kind of snack food? Or are little girls in the US in the habit of eating pet fish?
:rofl Goldfish Are these little semi-tasteless crackers that moms thoughout America carry around and give to their kids. They are very bite size, not too bad for you, and easy to transport. I think they’re pretty tasteless but they make some weird flavors too. There was a West Wing episode where someone is interested in CJ and he gets told she likes Goldfish and he brings her a fish and she laughs because she likes the crackers.

I’m glad you liked Tabitha’s explanation to Willow about magic. The show’s solution to the problem was idiotic but then so was the problem itself. Thanks so much. I think you still have School Days to go but I could be wrong.

Welcome :wave and thank you.

You know, Deb, I forgot how much I used to like this fic. Just read it again this morning and I still like it. It's a cool story, the character voices are good, and the smut is hot. What else do you really need?

Thanks for another morning spent not doing the things I should be doing. I needed the break.

Alright, I read this one last week and figured what the heck, lets comment on this one too.

So far I've really enjoyed this one the most, (in the process of reading Paths Diverged/Divulged... :sob so sad, but I think what I like most about this was the whole vamp Tara thing. After playing Chaos Bleeds, I made a chart to try and figure out which version I liked better. While C.B. had a very sexy, and oh so dreamy Tara that would say really sexy things....yours was sweet and cuddly...and I decided I would rather have yours! So kudos at having me fall in love....but its tara so you can't go wrong.

WrongObession - Hi and thanks again for the feedback. I've read assorted Vamp Tara stories and don't know what kind I like better. The evil Vamp Tara/human Willow can be fun too. Did you read my Shadow & Sunlight? That's an evil Vamp Willow and ... well, let's just say it gets interesting. And there are a few sequels to that one as well. This one is very cute and cuddly, just vampier with it.

Thanks again and thanks for having me revisit these as well.

Yeah I can agree with you there. But when I'd read that story I had just finished Chaos Bleeds so, I had to images of Vampire Tara to compair. I just liked yours better than the one Joss Whedon created.

Oh I've read it... :thud after reading it I couldn't get enough! It was one of the first stories I'd read by you. And Oh man (or should I say woman?) I had read it before class and through out the entire lecture my thoughts kept drifting back to a certain redheaded vampire and a foxy blonde farm girl. You sure know how to engrave scenes and dialog into peoples minds. Again dare I say it? You're Amazing!

Did you mention sequals? cause I've read Water and Five Golden rings. :blush Great stories by the way. Loved them. Wow you must think at this point I have no life, but to read your stories. And its true. Thanks again for being amazing.

WrongObsession - I don't think I know Chaos Bleeds. I'm glad you liked S&S. It is one of my favorite of my stories and I particularly love how I wrote it. It pretty much sprang full-blown into my head and I wrote it while working over the course of a day and had it posted almost immediately. I love when it's like that.

Yes, sequels = Water and Five Golden Rings. Hmmm. There a Shower scene that's in this verse as well. It takes place within an hour of the end of Water. You'd find that in the WTOlympics thread (possibly under Car's name in the completed fic archive or on LG). Let's see I wrote a story for that thread and I think 5 shower scenes? So that's another place to find my stuff. Any place you see the RKT threads - you'll find a story or a few by me.

Anyway, thanks yet again for reading and commenting.

Oh sorry. Chaos Bleeds= Buffy The Vampire Slayer Video Game. I am pretty sure it was the last one they made. It was a great game. =]

Well. I guess I've read all the sequels than. I'd have to say I liked Shadows and Sunlight best. But I like the others too.

Thanks I'll keep looking. I am in the middle School days right now! So...I'll get back to you.

Thanks again. =]

Wow.
WEIRD.

I like how well-grounded this story is in Tara's family history, which I always thought had so much untapped potential. I was totally going for the good vamp Tara thing... except the part where Tara didn't tell Willow about Tabitha. Total trust violation, and it broke with her character sooo much. Really bothersome, after that I couldn't really follow with the rest of the fic (although I did read it).

I'm liking your older fics a lot Oh, and thanks for adding me to that list or whatever on Twitter. How does that work, anyway? Confused.

KnightlyLove - Weird? Ok, I guess so. hmmm. I guess I never thought about the well grounded part but sure. I can see that. I like good vamp Tara too although I like lots of evil vamp Willow or evil vamp Tara stories as well. Yeah, not telling about Tabitha was a pretty bad thing. But then the kids sort of have a history of not telling each other important stuff. You know?

I'm glad you liked it. Twitter - mostly for me it's not fic related. Just life and such.
