AMBER NEW MOVIE - One-Eyed Monster

There is something almost sweet in seeing old porn stars like Ron Jeremy and Veronica Hart send up their reputations in films like this. And from what I read, Jeremy is a genuinely nice fellow, grateful for the chance to work in legitimate film; Hart has helped provide health care for those working in porn.

And somehow, there is something just a little bit weird/funny in seeing someone like Amber working alongside them. :-)

I can see where that would be appealing if you're familiar with their previous work, which is where I drift away, having been even more of a prude at 20 than I am now.

In the clips, well, Charles Napier is really showing his age (which is only to be expected since he *is* that age) but he's still very recognizable, ay!

Admittedly, even with Amber, getting this will be a judgement call for me, but I hope everyone else enjoys it.

Oh my goodness... I don't know for sure if that is true or not, since I've only just heard about it (it's not on Jeremy's Wikipedia page, and most of the google results are about his appearance in a music video called "Date Rape"....ew...) However, the thing that frightens me the most is that my univsersity hosted an event with him here. I cannot believe they would do that if there was even the slightest bit of worry he might be responsible for these things. I don't know how many excited girls had their breasts signed by him after the show (my friend was one of them.)

Wow. I was completely unaware of this. Of course, it needs to be proven, but at the same time Ms. Lynn provides enough specific detail to give anyone serious pause. And though this is a minor matter in the scheme of things, in no way will this help sell this film. But I should not even really say that, since the charge is so very serious.

Amber and Ron Jeremy were on Loveline last night promoting this film's release on DVD (Amazon listing). You might be able to find audio at the show's website, but I think that costs money. Also if you're in the East it might be airing tonight (4/30). Know that Ron Jeremy does the majority of the talking; only 2 people called in with questions for Amber.

I might not see this movie at all untill a safe (TV?) version is available.
I'm reading things about it that might ook me so much that no amount of amber-y-goodness can make up for it.

Amber makes up for flying, even with hours of turbulence.
she makes up for queing at the bathroomdoor for ages in the girlsdorm of a hostel, she even makes up for spening a whole week with Juju (just kidding Ju I had an awesome week in LA!) but there are some things where I draw the line... this movie might contain several of those things LoLz

So if anyone has seen it and wants to rate it on ookeyness and menhating-safety (without too much spoilers off course) that'd be veryverymuch apreiciated by me!

yeah, specially qhen you live in a lame country like mine... anyway, I bought 'Chance' and 'LLL', for an eye and a kidney XD but they are good movies, they deserved being bought ^^

Well, I ordered this movie yesterday so I should get it through in the next few days.

I saw the trailer and it made me laugh. its not just the premise but the fact that the actors seem to be taking the ludicrous concept so seriously which only adds to the hilarity (as anyone who has seen Airplane or Naked Gun can attest).

My only hope is that this is a horror movie where Amber gets to still be alive at the end.

I own this movie and I will attest that she's in it quite a bit (not as much as Kittens might like), as well as having an important role. I really liked the movie.

that'd be an impossible thing to do, even if you had her in focus, fullscreen and multi angle, some of us would probably still be disapointed that she wasn't in enough (movie too short, no fullscreen Amberbody in the end credits, comercials before the movie without her etc.)

back ot; I heard there's just one scene where you can see the yuck thing, but Amber is in it too so that'll probably be enough distraction to not notice the monster.

So, i watched this film last night. Anyone on ehre who knows me well enough knows I don't pull any punches in my reviews because I don't think its right to lie to people. Also, i think Amber respects honest opinion rather than sucking up to her.

So I will deal first with the negatives. The acting on ocassion is more than a little ropey. Mostly this is forgivable but there is a scene at the end, when the final conflict between the monster and the survivors happen, where the acting by one of the cast is so over-wrought and over-played it actually sucks out any tension or drama, so that it comes off really badly.

Positives. Ropey though some of the acting is, it kinda plays into the B-movie style its going for. it also has a good line in dialogue. but lets be honest, we wanna know if its funny or scary. Funny it certainly is. there were a few laugh out loud moments and I had a genuine smile on my face for a great deal of the time. The characters are good without needing to be overly complex. Its not a particularly scary movie (a few jumps and that's it) and for an 18 rated film (here in the UK, I presume an R rating in the US) there is very little blood or indeed nudity in the film. In fact if it were not for the subject matter I reckon on the strength of sexual and violent scenes the film would've gotten a 15 here in the UK.

As for AMber, she is very good in it. She doesn't have many scenes but she makes them all count.

Overall the film is by no means a classic but it passes the time well enough and is a good fun film. if you like your horror-comedy silly but enjoyable then this should fit the bill easily enough.

saw it today. this movie was one of the weirdest movies ive ever seen even weirder than the stephen king movie dreamcatcher about alien butt monsters. amber i luved her even though she only talked a few times shes still great

I didn´t like it... a lame story, bad directing... ok, Amber is always amazing, but I kinda feel sorry for her, she is so talented...
