W & T in The BtVS Comics - A Question.

Well I would protest as well but it would do no good. I don't believe he will ever bring gentle Tara back. He could if he wanted to in the comics, easy as pie. Continuity be damned he's done it before on TV even. And for far less worthy characters. But I have come to see that he is as stubborn as he is masochistic. I don't loathe the guy or wish him harm but I just cannot understand the dude anymore.

I personally would SUBSCRIBE to Season 8 if she was brought back, I would even hunt for the back issues due to my need for completion in my comix collecting obsession. He would make a small fortune off of me alone.

Amber and Chris Golden (btw Amber wrote "Wanna Blessed Be" with Chris and the wonderful Terry Moore did the pretty pictures, and man what an uber treat for me that was!) could write it if he can't man up and admit his horrible error in judgement. A fantasy to be sure but they say hope springs eternal right?

I love Willow too, always have ever since S1.1... But I will not pay for anything that asumes my favorite character ever is no longer.

Hell he could even bring it as "the incident" being a mystical punishment for magicks abuse, all smoke and mirrors. And Tara would return cause Willow's back to the good side to stay.

Or just bringing her back as a mystical reward for a heroic deed or whatever, milions of posible ways and since I on't think we are the only Tara-whores they'd make a lotta money too.

Heck, they could have some extra PG issues with ehhh... explicit W/T stories

Oz-Willow arc wouldbe BAD!
Not because he's a guy (well, not just bcause he's a guy) but because he has proven to be abusive, agressive and jealous. That's not a good base for a relationship at all. he should just stay in Tibet and date TiBette or whatever.

I always thought that mystical second-chance realm would be the way to go. (Where Angel went to try and save Darla, only to get fobbed off at the end that she'd already had her second chance.) Y'know Willow could ace those challenges.

Honestly, I won't handicap anything. A certain mind is unpredicatbale in its squirminess and that's where all these things are, officially at least, decided.

I've tried to avoid spoilers for season 8 (I read it, but avoid spoilers for forthcoming issues if I can), but I did see a [spoiler]picture of a Tara-angel[/spoiler] that I believe is going to put in an appearance some time in the next few issues.

I hope they handle it with sensitivity (I'm pretty sure Joss has well and truly gotten the message loud and clear by now).

And my own take is that Willow is actually most likely bi. Willow would have been with Tara forever had circumstances permitted, but I personally wouldn't rule out her having another relationship with a guy somewhere down the track as canon currently stands. And if Oz is around, there's certainly some stuff there that could/would/should be explored.

Now JFK of course, was totally rebound-gal for Willow. I believe that she was there to appease those who were distraught at the way Tara left the show, and to avoid slapping us in the face with a story arc of Willow 'heading back to boytown'. It's interesting that in the comics [spoiler]JFK is still around and being protected[/spoiler] by Willow.

[I just noticed when previewing that JFK is replaced with JFK by the forum. Gotta love the determination to avoid everything post-you-know-what in here... ]

Now...I have no problems with the return of Oz...I never found him any of the ways Dorothy described; save jealous with the "New Moon Rising" episode...

Willow and Oz were a decent couple; and, honestly, talked geek very well with one another...

Besides; Willow herself believed that he will always be in her heart; and that they were connected.

Now, as for the Tara rumour...I can only hope it is true; and that the B@st@rd Whedon has finally got thru his thick skull not to screw this up!!!*

There is a collection that contains both WannaBlessedBe and Wilderness. It's name is simply Willow & Tara. I just received a second hand copy today and really liked WannaBlessedBe
but Wilderness on the other hand felt kind of messy.

I'd caution anyone from getting their hopes too high in the S8 comic. Scott Allie, the editor, has very pointedly said that Tara will not be making any appearance during S8. Thus, I would not trust anything you see on wikipedia, which after all allows anyone to post anything without confirmation.

Also, I think there is little doubt Willow is gay, now and forevermore. You will not see her return to guyville simply because Oz shows up in the S8 comic in a one-off written by Jane Espenson. Such a move would be a horrid mistake, and not one I think the comic will go into, since it would effectively remove part of its audience. Plus, it screws with who Willow is.

Well, that seems no longer true. DH remains in discussion at Fox and has not yet been ruled out. They are looking at cost cutting in an attempt to keep it on. A number of entertainemt newsies have reported this even today. We will know for sure by May 18, when the up-fronts are announced.

But point taken, anyway.

And may I say, the comic series sucks eggs.
