Hello Everyone.

My name is Corey, I'm 22 years old from Michigan (USA, for those of you in other countries) I've been an obsessive Buffy fan for the past 8 years or so and I shall forever be.

I run a Buffy/Faith message board called Slayer Pride #2, which is the remake of the original that was closed down a few years ago. Some of you may know of it, others may not. We don't get much traffic at the new site.

I decided that I missed human over-the-computer interaction and found this board, which is quite lovely if I might add.

You're right - the people are a problem - they're covered in pastry flakes from Greggs and the stench of misery.

I live in the Black Country so sadly not much beauty - anything pretty in my town was either bombed in WWII or razed to the ground by moronic town planners in the 60's...

This site is great but im afraid i love the wardrobe *ducks for cover* ok maybe not Willows ridiculous jumpers but the dresses they both wear are very pretty and medievaly!

SickSadGirl: Hey, Suzanne! What does being "sort of" in college entail? :) As far as forums, I've found this one to be amazing. The level of participation is astounding. I was pretty floored by all the posts when I started writing, here. If you've got a notion to add your own story here, I highly recommend it. And if not, we all hope to hear from you, anyway. Welcome to the community. :)

I'm new here, though I've lurked around for a while. I figured since I kept coming back to this board again and again, I should just join up!
My first obsession with BtVS came when the show was in its last season, when I watched all I could without the benefit of dvds, read a lot of articles, books and fanfic. Then time passed without much viewing. This summer the obsession smacked me upside the head anew, with the added bonus of my wife enjoying the show (beyond season 3) with me (though we've yet to watch the unmentionable season together yet). There's lots of W/T love to share!

After lurking for... uh... a really, really long time, I have finally joined the KittenBoard. That makes this board the first and only non-profession-related board I am on. I think that fits in the 'dubious honor' category.
My introduction will be a mite verbose, but I figure I might as well do it right. I did not see BtVS when it was on-air, though I was in the target age demographic at the time. I had seen an episode or two of the first or second season, but had really not been all that interested. It was in my second exposure that I was hooked. I would go in the evening to the apartment complex to work out and discovered the only thing that could keep me on a Stairmaster for an hour was watching reruns off BtVS (a guilty pleasure I was allowed due to no one else wanting to exercise late at night). It helped that it was on 5 days a week and I started in Season 4 (I can't stand waiting a week between episodes). So that's my Buffy initiation.
Myself- I have written a total of 1 fanfic before (which was awful- a writing exercise done due to a roommate challenge), but have always written stories with the idea that I would some day share them. An unshared story is like an unpursued dream... and I have too many of those. I have 2 fanfics in the works but have hit the wall by myself. After 3 years of writing little niblets and never managing to fill out either of them, I think I need a Beta. Hence the board joining.
I write what I like... long (I don't even start reading until it's over 7 pages on the thread), angsty. I will never present a fic for general consumption unless it is certain to be completed. That means I am likely to have things on Beta thread for a long time before transferring over to Pens. I'll probably end up porting weekly chapters at that point, to give time for feedback and edit based on what I hear.
What else would you like to know?
(looking at the post and paling) oh. my. Did I write all that? I guess all the years of lurking led to some pent up typping.

I think I'll go crawl back under my rock now...

I am a huge fan of Xena the Warrior princess and have wrote a few Fanfictions that were very well received (if you're a fan of Xena fics you should check them out, just ask me and I'll send you a link) and I think maybe I will try my hand at Willow and Tara fics.
