Tegan and Sara's new cd, The Con came out yesterday and it's every bit as good as I'd hoped. The bonus dvd that somes with the limited edition version is lots of fun too. Recommended.

Why thank you! Wagner is my first love, but I was feeling a little more light-hearted tonight. Die Walkure alone is about 3hrs long ... I hope you don't have plans tomorrow morning! Though I confess, when time is a factor I pretty well stick to Act III.

I have the version from the Academy of St. Martin In the Fields.
Thomas Allen as Figaro, with Nelson Marriner conducting. I like Bryn Terfel, but his Figaro is not my favorite.
I keep the Wagner on iPod, but more than anything I just blast "Ride of the Valkyries" in the car on the way home from work to celebrate the triumph of finishing for the day.
