I think I've gotten so used to teasing fics that I nearly choked on my soda at the end of this. Don't get me wrong, I think there are some fine teasers out there, but there is something to be said for seeing what you want and grabbing it. Very cool to see both Willow and Tara aggressive from the get go--from what I've read, that may be a first. I also like how you've set up that both are looking for Ms. Right Now, but their friends seem to realize they both really want more.

Go Willow! She's a hot little vixen herself - jewelled navel bar, huh? (Melts) She never answered Tara's question - does she have any more to discover?



I also liked the description of the dojo, especially the garden. To my un-karate-educated mind, it suggests the place is about much more than learning how to kick people's kidneys out their nostrils



I'm really looking forward to the next chapter - seeing exactly how Willow and Tara handle themselves now that the ice is broken. They both want each other, they won't be in much doubt that their feeling are recoprocated - I'd say Buffy and Dawn's little match-making scheme went off without a hitch. But there's still plenty of fun to be had seeing how Willow and Tara progress from here.

The vivid description given about Buffy's dojo, made it very easy for me to picture it. The functionality of the interior; along with the beauty of the garden, allows me to imagine how both body and mind and could find there balance at Hangetsu.



Liked the way the Summers sisters helped their two best friends meet. Seems like it only took a gentle nug for the sparks to begin flying between Willow and Tara. Willow's ensemble was quite um... nice. I'm dying to know the answer to Tara's question... if there are anymore piercings, and if so where? Okay... again. Just as equally fascinating... Tara's other tattoo. Care to share where/what it is... I won't tell a soul.



Liking the assertiveness of both ladies... and can't wait to find out just how fair things go in the garden. Seems the hot smoochie you left us with may just be a warm up...

wow this is going to be a hot one i can tell....and tattoos lead to hotness?? ive got 2...does that count for anything?!?! lol...ooo and when i had my bellybutton pierced i had a green jewlled barbell...i loved it...ah yes those were the days...tattoos and piercings are the best...and on willow and tara....mmmmmm....yep....definately hotness inducing.

Their lips parted and they both leaned back on the bench breathless. As they breathed heavily the scent of jasmine wafted over them.



Willow was stunned. This wasn’t how she behaved, flirting with and kissing a woman she didn’t even know.



“So you still didn’t answer me,” said Tara. “Have you got any more piercings?”



“No and I wouldn’t have this one but Buffy persuaded me to have it done when we were at college. My one little rebellion,” said Willow, relaxing slightly now that there was conversation and not action. “And why did you get the tattoos?”



Tara shrugged and glanced at each shoulder, “These were the result of too much teenage bravado. The other, well, that was a moment of inspired madness.”



Willow teased a finger over the celtic knot on the shoulder closest to her, enjoying the feel of soft silk under her fingertips. It seemed so natural to be touching Tara, almost as if she had known her forever.



“Feels nice,” admitted Tara.



In one impetuous movement Willow bent down and kissed the tattoo, before flicking her tongue over the design. She felt a surge of excitement when she heard a small hiss escaping from Tara’s lips. She pulled back wearing an evil grin.



“So where is the other one, maybe I could repeat the process?” Willow asked.



Tara patted her knee. “Get close and I’ll tell you.”



Willow hesitated, wondering if she had pushed it further than she meant. To cover her uncertainty she reached for the whisky bottle and poured herself out another measure.



Tara bumped her glass against Willow’s. “Can I at least have a drink?”



Willow poured her some whisky and then swallowed most of her own. She felt the heat burning into her, humming in her veins. She closed her eyes for a second before thinking what the hell, a beautiful woman was flirting with her and she couldn’t remember the last time that happened. Willow set down her glass and glided on to Tara’s lap, looping her arms around the blonde’s neck. She was pleased that the blonde looked a little taken aback, proving that she wasn’t as confident as the image she was projecting.



“So are you going to tell me about this other mad tattoo?” teased Willow.



Tara kissed Willow’s collarbone before licking slowly and sensuously up her neck, the flesh taut under her touch. When she got to Willow’s ear she drew a sharp breath and whispered; her voice huskier than usual. “I wanted something that would be part of me, a personal piece of art. I had an inspiration, a snake coiled up my spine, it’s head on my shoulder blade, mouth open ready to strike at my throat and it’s tail finally tapering off nestling between the cheeks of my ass, and I can’t wait to feel your hot breath on the whole length of it.”



“Oh god,” said Willow, seeing the image branded as vividly on her brain as if the blonde had stripped naked and displayed it for her.



“You like the sound of that?” asked Tara, before her mouth travelled back down Willow’s neck, allowing her teeth to graze and nip the soft, creamy skin.



“Uh…I,” Willow closed her eyes trying to get enough focus to let words form. “Enough to say lets call a cab. We could be at my apartment in about 20 minutes.”



Tara stopped what she was doing to raise an eyebrow and gave Willow her first sight of her sexy little half smile. “I don’t know, we could always do it right here in the garden.”



Willow’s eyes opened wide with shock and she glanced worriedly back at the doors.



“Willow I am only joking,” said Tara, placing her hands either side of the redheads face and kissing her softly on the lips. “Call that Cab.”

I love this, it's a really interesting version of Willow and Tara - both older, more mature, more sure of themselves. They're both in the situation that this incredible woman (that being each other) is hot for them, so they're gonna enjoy it, not lose a chance at something funand rewarding by worrying about it too much. Don't get me wrong, I like that they worry a little, that you show them gauging each other's reactions, and not just jumping in without a second thought, but I do like how this is going. They're both well-adjusted single women - why not?



Now, the fun is really going to start when they both start thinking "Y'know, I'm really feeling more than just 'this is fun' feelings...", and start wondering what each other's feeling and so on. Seizing the moment is one thing, but attempting a serious relationship, that's something else...



Not that the fun hasn't already started in a more literal sense... that tattoo:



Also, when Tara joked about just making out in the garden, I had this mental image of Buffy and Dawn wandering by later, seeing Willow- and Tara-butt-shaped depressions in the zen sand garden, and congratulating themselves on a matchmake well done

Great update! I agree with Chris r.e. more confident & aggressive (yet still aware of the other's feelings) Willow and Tara. It's not something that a lot of fics show, and it'll be intersting to see how the emotional relationship develops after the physical. Assuming, of course, that one or both doesn't stop things. It definitely looks like they both are ready and willing to jump right in...and I'm cool with that.



So make that cab ride home a quick one...or let me be the cabbie.

The attraction you describe between Willow/Tara is very intense. It seems they are both giving into passion in a way they are not accustomed, but are not letting that stand in the way.
