Re: Chapter 17

Postby justin » Wed May 14, 2003 4:24 am

That was a wonderful update.

I started out liking Morgan but then started to dislike her towards the end. It's obvious she has some sort of nefarious plans for Willow.

We find out why the keepers in this story seem to be so much weaker than the first one. Since she was only powerful because she was tapping Tara's power.

I don't like the idea of turning them into a black ops unit. I don't think that you can trust an organisation where it's common practice to liquify someones lungs just for making one mistake. I'd say that since they aren't needed any more they should be disbanded.

That was an interesting cliffhanger. I'm looking forward to seeing how it's resolved.

Geez Morgan is a hoot! However, I don't like the gleam in her eye for Willow...that can't be good.

Aw man, and Ceri's indignant tude'!!!! That was hysterical. W/T have oozey witchy-foo leaking everywhere, and Ceri's worried about her robe. You could see the look of righteous disgust on her face, like she was chastising her little sister for messing with her stuff. If you had audio, imagine Yancy Butler in a whiney voice saying "Ta-ra! I'm tel-lin' Mom!!!".

Oh but these chicks concentrate too hard on all this white/dark/gray/charcoal/taupe....whatever in magic. I think they are missing the point.

Where in the heck are Dawn and Bre? Is Kaley still in the barracks? Do you need a volunteer to slap the preacher?

Did you survive the third graders?

Hi Lisa! Nice update :D

I'm liking this mage-o-pause that the girls are going through :applause

I'm not too keen on Morgan... she seems very keen to talk about anything other than what she wants. It should be interesting to see how this pans out. As to her 'concerns' over the stages they are going through, it seems like she may just be trying to get their attention... perhaps for more sinister things.

The Maclay story is slowly building up... it seems Beth may be starting to see sense after all (Donnie too even?). Again, it should be interesting to what this becomes.

Some more Dawn/Bre action would be nice :grin

Update soon please :pray

Postby dykeleen » Wed May 14, 2003 7:52 pm

Lisa,

I peed myself laughing this entire chapter My co-workers were looking at me sidways!

OK my analasys

Brent Brigan--SEE I TOLD YOU THEY WERE AN ITEM ...I SO CALLED IT!

Dawn and Bri--- This is by far the bigest cliff hanger yet in any of your fics! I must admit I flipped through the print out looking for Dawn and Bri :sob OH well! ( My wife wanted to know why there was no Bri and Dawn too .....I've got her hooked)

Brianna--- Pulls out the kitten card agian gotta love it! But I burst out in the middle of my office when she was talking about the lights! "I knew it"

Willow and Tara--The robe incident cracked me up poor Ceri. But a very hot love scene I loved how they had to practically had to wrestle them apart on the way to the meeting!I love how the flames changed from red to blue with the changing of their moods! I agree with Web Warlock I am loving following the whole Mage Mythology you just keep comming up with more stuff. I cant believe how you keep this story fresh and interesting!

Caleb Donny Beth-- I think I know where you are going with this but....I have said that before and was wrong so That opinion I will keep to my self and when I am right I will tell you! he he:lol

and Last and least

Morgan--I can so see Mia Sara in that role for sure

I dont like herthough I know that she is Brents Mother but I think that she has an alterior motive! and its not a good one. I dont like how she is taunting the gardians and how she has Brent between a rock and a hard place. She wont fess up about the McClay incident but feels free to reveal Brents past in front of the Imbolic gard Emily Tara and Willow! NOT playing fair. She just needs to go away!

I am your most loyal and dedicated follower! well next to Web Warlock!:pride

Looking forward to the next update

Wonderful update Lisa.

I dont know what to say that hasnt already been said. You had me cracking up the whole time, and again with the darn cliff-hangers.

I'm starting to think maybe a fight between Morgan and Tara and/or Willow is in the future.

Oh, God, this is too good! Hilarious! And you know, Aly and Amber would have killed to play these scenes, those scamps!

Ceri's robe..:rofl My God, I've never wanted to be a sacred robe so bad in my life. :drool .

The pool-dunking scenes and the shout-out to Girls Gone Wild...I just hope that there might sometime be a huge mud puddle, perhaps near the stables...

Stop it! Stop it! Bad CaptMurdock! Bad!

Anyway, I love this story. Please proceed.

Postby Grimlock72 » Thu May 15, 2003 3:01 pm

I had to smile everytime Ceri mourned her robe :) . I would have thought she would cherish and keep that robe though. Brianna listing the pairings where she saw the gold dust was fun but it does beg the question why no one ever noticed that gold glow before.

Morgan tries very hard to be funny and deflect most questions pointed at her. I don't trust her, she hasn't convinced me she wants the best for anybody on the sanctuary except Brent. I wasn't surprised she knew Willow, that was to be expected... wife of a former Imbolc mage, such information would be known to all higher members of the comite. Given Morgan evasive behaviour I'm very weary of her.

I don't get why Brent is so ashamed to be born with 'dark magic in her blood'. If that IS anybody's fault it would be Morgan's. So Brent has done the same as Willow and gotten rid of dark magic, good for her. Why oh why would she be ashamed of that ??? If anything it makes Brent more praiseworthy, I really fail to see why everybody is so upset over it.

So Morgan prefers to call 'dark magic' 'gray', that is really just labelling. The method of getting power is fairly easily labelled 'light' or non-light, it's the application of said power which is faaaar harder to catagorize. Obviously Brent has made her choice, one which Morgan doesn't agree with.

Why is Morgan not being escorted to that holding cell as of now ? Why did the discussion continue even after Brent had already ordered Morgan to be moved out of there ? Why was Willow not evacuated out of that room the second the order was issued ?

This entire debacle nicely proves that Brent should just have spoken to Morgan in a bar in Sunnydale, FAR away from either Tara or Willow. Both are mages, have as of yet unknown amount of power... magic power tends to attract evil committees. Remember last time ?? (not only the keepers like having power to control obviously)

Speaking of which, before placing Morgan in a holding cell; do a stripsearch (full), give her new clothes and then place her in a cell. Remember what happened when Josh paid a visit to the sanctuary and learn from mistakes. Then they need to decide if they want Morgan to leave the sanctuary with the information she learned about Tara and Willow. That could be dangerous.

Please have pastor Crow shot, thank you very much. It's by now obvious he had something to do with Tara's mother dieing and now he wants Tara to visit him ?? That man is so stupid it's amazing he has lived this long.

About those flames coming from their hands; I get that those seem to hurt no-one if they're shot by accident. However, surely those mage powers can be used to shoot usefull fireballs ? Besides, if they burn furniture why not clothes people wear ? Didn't quite understand why Tara had now power due to her 'limitations', her only limitations are her own morals and conscience really.

Enough rambling for now ;-)

P.S. I like the new update-frequency :D

Lisa of Nine: Great update, What is Morgan up to? Why is she really there? A small part of me wants to trust and the other part wants Willow and Tara to kick her ass. Brent was born with dark magic, I feel bad for her and especially for Tara, I can't even imagine whats going through her head, I hope that they'll be OK.

It was really funny when Willow and Tara used Ceri's robe to cover themselves, and Ceri's reaction when she found out was even funnier, just great.

What exactly is Allaidh? I hope that nothing too bad happensto Willow and Tara.

I really don't like Pastor Crow. What the hell is his problem, I hope that Buffy kicks his ass real good.

I love that Brianna wasn't afraid of her mommies lights, and I also love the way that this busted everyone. I can't wait to read more.

Quote:

"Tara…" Willow was panting. She was fighting to get to her wife.

"Let her go." Tara was shaking with need. She couldn’t take her eyes off her lover and her desire was becoming painful. She barely noticed that she was being hauled backwards. "Willow, baby!"

"Ceri, please. Just let me touch her. It’ll be okay," Willow said. She smiled reassuringly. "You can trust us."

"Uh huh…" Ceri might have believed that if Willow had not been rubbing up and down Ceri’s leg like a cat in heat. "Great, this robe is shot too," she said as Willow continued gyrating against it.

Can I just say I *love* the visuals you're giving me here of Willow and Tara not able to keep themselves off each other? God, I can just see how Aly would pull off that line with a wicked smile on her face. Yowza. That was funny and, um, stimulating. Heh.

About Morgan... Hmmm now I'm not so sure. I'm all in for the sexy jokes but I don't like her attitude towards Brent, driving her into a corner, making her confess about the so-called "Dark magic running through her veins." I hate it when people do that.

On a lighter note: Brianna is just the cutest kid ever!!!

Rocktoddy

P.s. I'm with Grimmy! Love the frequency of the updates! Since you left us all hanging on that chapter 15 cliffhanger for five months!!! Grumble grumble... Can't be too cranky though, since you are the goddess of this fic. Hee!

:clap Have no words adequate to tell how much I'm enjoying this story. NO...I don't need anyone else except the fantastic W/T family, Brent, Ceri, and Brigh !!!! [OK Emily is cool...not sure about Morgan] This story is your "writing milestone"...what I think you've always been a master at... the relationship between W/T. .. and now Brianna..wow...how well you have made her a combination of her two mothers while at the same time a unique personality of her own. When W/T are together ,even in stressful times, it is pure magic!...no one does it as well as you ! [ Too bad BTVS forgot that!] There were scenes in chapter 17 that had me laughing :laugh out loud...a welcome change from all the dismal fics that I have had a fill of. I am sure that some more drama is coming, but I hope you will keep W/T and their family...including their extended family together ...working as a team! :pray Quite honestly, I would be thrilled if you just continued writing about this family until Megan was an adult! [Hey, with magic...I'm hoping for a double pregnancy in the future!]

Sorry for the length of this and I am sure it is but one of the many praises you receive...but when I get so much enjoyment at no cost [although my time is my greatest wealth] I just have to send feedback...some type of thank you. So Thanks...keep writing! Yes, I sound like a :geek ! [ Spell check is down...so please forgive any errors .]

I just finished reading chapter 17 and it took me almost an hour and a half, because once i started laughing, everything else was funny. I loved the part where Ceri and Brigh threw Willow and Tara into the pool.

I WANT TO BE THROWN INTO A POOL!! I WANT IT I WANT IT

I! WANT! IT! *stomps foot*

Okay, I'm done whinng like a spoiled brat. If anyone wants to slap me, feel free. Or you could just toss me in a pool:)

I LOVE this fic!!! :bounce :bounce

There are far too many great visuals to go into detail on all of them, so I'll just...

of course there are many more, but you get the point :glasses

And this...

Quote:
"So, can this get any worse?" Buffy asked.

"Precisely how dim are you?" Emily shook her head.

I almost peed my pants.

On a more serious note... Morgan is quite a mystery. She seems to really love Brent and willing to do almost anything to protect her. But at the same time her methods as well as her motives are a tad bit iffy to say the least.

Can't wait for more :read

hi Lisa
I've been reading your fic, even before i knew about this board.. and im just too shy to leave a reply.. been lurking too long i think.
Can i just say "I'm fascinated by your fics"
I agree with the kittens when they say that they are like watching a movie. Your Unexpected Consequences and Milestones.. i don't know how to describe it. your imagination is incredible and i truly love it when there is family.. you know with having brianna and megan, then comedic parts with ceri, anya, buffy and Brent's mom, totally left me laughing out loud..i like the part with Dawn and Bre, innocently love is growing in between them.. hmmm so sweet. your fic is so wonderful
Thank you very much for your fic.

Postby Lisa of Nine » Mon May 19, 2003 12:57 pm

Hey all,

first I want to thank Tim, (WW) for posting the last chapter. I was with the 3rd graders... ugh. I am still recovering. I always thought the term "running amok" was a figure of speech. It's not. Children run amok. There was running...and it was amok. These creatures take no prisoners.

I will be posting the next chapter tomorrow-as an alternative to watching that thing on Tuesday night.

I have been spending all my computer time working on the updates and have been neglecting sending replies to feedback. I apologize. I read all the feedback and enjoy it and am continually impressed by how many people sneakily figure out where I am heading with the story.

-Of course, sometimes you think I am going where the clues are meant to take you... not where I am really going. ;-)

I hope it's okay that I am focusing on writing, not replies. I'm hoping the chapter update frequency will make up for my tardiness on replies.

Okay, gotta run. I have a lot of edits and tweaking to do before tomorrow!

I dont post this enough, but I love your fic Lisa, and I'm really loving Milestones. You're a marvelous author. You could write cereal labels and I'd read them.

I don't think I ever posted to tell you how kickass your fics are! I read them all, and I'm loving each and everyone of them. Of course, I reread most of them about 10 times. :grin

I'm loving Milestones, and I agree with Ann and say we should shower you with praise, chocolates, gifts and if you're wearing a white tee-shirt, cold water. :p

Every character is dead on, and I'm loving th characters you have created. I love the Bre/Dawn romance, and I'm sure you're gonna make them see the light. I also love Brianna and Megan and the whole Willow and Tara "family", including the guards.

Time doesn't seem enough to tell you how much I love your fics, so I will post my feelings in one smiley: :bow

Updates or replies...choices choices.... :)

An update every two or three weeks is fine with me really. Given the length of those updates.... :D . Besides I don't want you to overwork yourself on giving us an update every week. It would be nice, suuuure.... but we're used to waiting between updates you don't have to spend all your free time on those. Would make me feel guilty reading them, can't have that now can we ?? :) .

UPDATE: Chapter 18!

Postby Lisa of Nine » Tue May 20, 2003 3:48 pm

Okay, here is the update. Now, please, PLEASE, read this or some

other story on the PENS instead of giving that thing on TV

tonight any time. If you must watch TV, watch AI or GG!

This chapter does have...*gasp*... a cliffhanger. Gee, you didn't

see that one coming, but hey, what would a Lisa-fic be without

the patented end of chapter cliffhanger?

http://www.quiknet.com/~lcountry/milestones18.html

(ETA- hope the link works now!}

If you are so inclined, please use the buttons at the end of my

chapters. The topic of the buttons is OT, so I will not mention

that here, but I'm sure everyone knows I am a bit of a radical in

certain areas. :-)

Hopefully this chapter answers some questions, and brings up

others.

Oh, and ATTENTION BRAWNIE SHIPPERS (Bre/Dawnie) There are some...

kisses and touching in this chapter... but NOT the way you'd

like. ;-) I still have to torment them some more.

Enjoy! And be sure to thank Xita for providing us this haven.

That show is over, but thanks to Xita and the kittens, Willow and

Tara are together and happy, and will be forever!

Blessed be, W&T.

Lisa

PS- a shout out to tiyodragon...your new endeavor is making me

blush!

PPS- Grimmy- you may have mentioned not trusting Morgan. ;-)
