I like that the story has moved beyond the one weekend, but must confess to being a bit scared, not of the BDSM, but of what I sense are some blurrings between real life and play. Willow’s comment about Tara’s major occurred in a general conversation, not between Mistress and kitten. But Tara’s comment about Willow “denigrating Mistress’ major” took something from real life, as it were, and placed it in the realm of play. Might that play with Willow’s mind a bit, possibly making her begin to sensor what she says to Tara in non-play time? (Are there words for play and non-play time? Don’t know.) I know you mentioned somewhere in this thread that this is really just a PWP series but I still sort of crave a section where Willow and Tara discuss thoughts, feelings, and analyse this new dimension in their lives. But, hey, regardless of what I want here, it remains a jolly good and steamy read, with the right amount of OMGs, written most importantly with your characteristic love, respect and care for the characters. You make a good point and I can understand that concern. First, let me say that I am anything but an expert on BDSM relationships or rules. That said, my feeling is this. I think that those relationships seem to exist on a continuum. Some participants exist in what I might think of as a “pure” BDSM situation. They need no excuse for any scene. The play might be self-contained and the scene it its own excuse. But others (and I believe that at this point W&T fall into this category) are indulging in play for pleasure and release. Willow’s comment might fall into what my partner defined as “any excuse” meaning that Willow is intentionally creating reasons for her Mistress to punish her. Tara is taking those reasons and pleasing her kitten with them. If the punishment were something that Willow didn’t crave then I would have a problem with the blurring of the lines. Because it is something that both girls want, I think it works well. But I am entirely open to other viewpoints…
