Chapter 15 By: Jennifer
Willow’s brow furrowed. She was slightly taken aback by this. “Your brother?”
Tara frowned, realizing she hadn’t told her friend that she had any siblings. “Y-yeah, Charlie.”
“A-and he’s coming here?” Willow pushed for clarification.
Turning her body sideways, towards the redhead, Tara searched the other girl’s eyes. “Um…he needs to get away from the house. My f-father h-h-hit him…” her voice trailed off, eyes misting with tears.
“Shhh, it’s okay.” Reaching forward tentatively, Willow gently touched the blonde’s cheek with her fingers. At the contact, she felt Tara shiver, a soft whimper escaping her lips. Pushing forward, the hacker’s fingers snaked through the golden locks and slid down her back, slowly pulling the girl into her waiting arms.
Taking in a deep breath of air, the blonde let herself be pulled into the other girl’s arms. She wrapped her arms around the lithe waist and held on tight. The tears she had been holding back, now slithered down her cheeks.
“It’s okay. I’ve got you.” Willow gently rocked Tara and comfortingly rubbed her back.
“No, it’s not. H-h-he… he. Why does he do that, Willow? Why does he hit? Maybe I d-deserved it. Maybe I…” no other words were heard, as the redhead pulled back somewhat and held her index finger to Tara’s full lips.
“Tara, no. No one deserves to be hit; no matter the reasoning’s or not, behind it. Please don’t say that.” She took her finger away and cupped her cheek. Running her thumb back and forth over the soft plane of flesh there. “I can’t see why anyone would want to hit you or even think it. He’s insane.”
“But I…” Letting her eyes drop from Willow’s green, she looked down at the bedspread covering their legs. “I was bad. I’m evil and disgusting,” she sobbed.
Gritting her teeth, the redhead had to physically restrain herself from using the words that were boiling to the surface, regarding the blonde’s father.
‘How can she even think that? There is nothing disgusting about her and she’s certainly not evil. No. Evil is something… evil and… disgusting, which she is so not. I wish I could…’Tara started to pull away from the redhead, when she didn’t say anything.
‘Oh Goddess, she agrees with him. S-she thinks I’m…’Feeling the other girl moving away from her, Willow snapped out of her thoughts and brought herself back to the present, back to Tara, who was trying to extricate herself from the current situation.
The blonde didn’t get very far, when she felt a strong hand gripping her own. Stilling her movement, she looked down at the redhead’s fingers that were enclosed around her shaking digits. Closing her eyes, she exhaled sharply before looking up into the other girl’s eyes. What she saw there was acceptance. Only acceptance. No hint of disgust or fear, which she had been sure she would find. No, none of that. Tara found sadness and
‘Love? Could that be…’ she thought to herself.
Squeezing the hand in hers, the hacker defined her features into a determined resolve face, as she started to speak. “Tara Maclay, there will be no more talk of evil and disgusting when describing you, okay? The only person, who I would consider to be disgusting, is the person who would have the nerve to say that about you.”
Tara’s heart smiled at the other girl’s choice of words, but still the haunting words of her father reverberated in her mind. “But I’m… h-he said…”
“Tara,” the redhead’s voice warned. “No. Whatever he said to you is not true. You’re not evil or disgusting.” She shook her head, but smiled and brought her hand up to her friends face, tracing the contours of her skin with her fingertips. “You’re beautiful, caring, and kind. My heart skips a beat every time I see you a-and you’re…” she paused, looking into the blue pools searching hers.
“I’m what?” the blonde whispered, when Willow didn’t continue. Her eyes briefly closed, her face humming from the other girl’s touch.
“Mine?” Willow asked hopefully. She smiled when Tara opened her eyes and silently answered her question. “And no girl of mine, is anything more than beautiful. I…” taking a deep breath, she steeled herself for whatever reaction she would receive next. “I…I love you, Tara.”
Tilting her head, her eyes immediately opened and searched the redhead’s. “You… me? Really?” She couldn’t believe her ears. The blonde never imagined that anyone like Willow would ever love her, let alone want to spend time with her.
Nodding, the hacker spoke from her heart. It was only one word, but it seemed to sum up every other word she could have used. “Yes.”
“Oh, Willow I… wait, what about, Oz?” She asked the question that she had been thinking about since Oz had came to see Willow.
The redhead flinched at the name of her boyfriend.
‘Ex… ex-boyfriend,’ she corrected in her thoughts. Searching her brain, she tried to come up with the right words to describe how she felt. “Tara, I love Oz… I do, but… I’m not in love with him. I don’t think I ever was.”
“Cause it’s okay if you are. I-I hope that you will be very h-happy,” the blonde said, dropping her head and looking away from Willow’s soulful eyes. A brief moment passed, before a hand cupped her chin and pulled her vision back around.
Letting out the breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding, the hacker looked deep into Tara’s eyes, trying to get her to understand. “I am. I’m happy with you.”
Bringing her hand up, she tucked a few strands of red hair behind the other girl’s ear. “I’m happy with you, too, Willow.”
Willow uncurled her fingers from around the blonde’s chin and pushed it around to behind her head, sifting her digits through blonde hair. She started to massage her neck there, as she leaned in, their lips inches apart. “I love you,” she promised.
Smiling, a tear rolled down her cheek. “I love you, too. I know I-it’s a little soon to be admitting that, but Goddess, I do. I love you, Willow Rosenberg.” Tara declared her heart’s deepest emotion.
Smiling brightly in return, the hacker slowly closed the remaining distance between them and gently brushed her lips against the blonde’s.
The kiss was so brief that Tara could barely comprehend that it had happened. She whimpered when the other girl pulled away. With a frown, she whispered, “More?”
Willow leaned in again, applying a little more pressure this time to Tara’s lips. The redhead felt the other girl’s hand caress her cheek. She let their lips linger before pulling away again.
The blonde’s eyes had closed as soon as the second kiss had begun. When she opened them again, she took in the sight of her friend grinning at her. Her thumb passed over Willow’s ruby lips. Pursing her mouth to speak again, her voice still came out as a whisper. “Willow?”
“Yes?” the hacker breathed.
“Ca-can I have one more?” Tara asked, hopefully. Stilling her thumb’s action, she waited anxiously for a response.
“Hmm… I think that can be arranged,” she replied. Licking her lips, Willow leaned in, stopping a hairsbreadth away from her goal.
Taking matters into her own hands, the blonde witch pushed both her hands into the redhead’s hair. Fingers gripping the back of her head, she pulled her in, their mouths fitting together tightly. Tara’s approach was somewhat more aggressive then she had planned for, but alas, it got her lips where she wanted them to be.
Not being able to help herself, the redhead moaned. “Mmmm,” she moaned appreciatively.
“Mmmm…yes,” Tara agreed, without taking her lips away. She felt the other girl’s arms wrap around her, begging her to move closer. She complied, but reversed the situation.
Not one to disappoint, Willow allowed herself to be pulled. However, she didn’t stop her movement forward once she was fully in the arms of the blonde. She kept moving, until Tara had no choice, but to lay back.
“Willow,” she breathed into the kiss. Pulling her legs up, she maneuvered them so one was on either side of the other girl’s body, the bottom of her feet resting on top of the mattress. Tugging her girl with, she lied down. Tara’s hands left the red locks and wrapped around the hacker’s back.
Willow stilled her decent downwards, once her elbows touched the bed. She didn’t want to rest all of her weight on top of the blonde, for fear of being too heavy.
Tara started to protest when she couldn’t fully feel her girl against her. “Willow… don’t s…” she began, breaking the kiss.
Looking into her eyes, she spoke, interrupting the other girl. “Tara, I don’t wanna be too heavy.”
“You’re not,” she answered and pulled the redhead completely down onto her. This time, it was she who moaned, when their breasts pressed together. “Mmmm…”
“Feel something you like?” Willow teased.
“Uh huh,” Tara answered.
“You sure about that? Cause I can…”
“Willow?” the blonde interjected.
“Yeah?”
“Kiss me?” Tara asked, but it came out more as a plea.
Her heart skipped a beat, but she didn’t hesitate. “For as long as you’ll let me,” Willow promised, bringing their lips together.
The kiss was soft, gentle, and spoke of a passion that was continuing to grow between both girls, as the days passed by.
“Love you,” Tara whispered into Willow’s lips.
“Love you, too,” the redhead whispered back.

“You ready for this, B?” Faith asked the other Slayer, as she quietly opened the door to the secret entrance into The Initiative.
“As ready as I’m gonna be. We go in, find the info we came for, than leave.” Buffy started to go in, but the brunette grabbed her arm and turned her back around.
“Faith, what are you…” no other words were heard, as Buffy felt a warm mouth press against her own. She started to struggle, but her body quickly gave in and was about to wrap her arms around Faith’s back, when the brunette suddenly pulled away.
Gazing into Buffy’s eyes, she spoke to the blonde’s confusion. “In case one of us is caught, I didn’t want to never have done that.” Leaning in, she kissed her once more before disappearing through the door.
Buffy stood dumbfounded, momentarily. Then shaking her head, she swiftly moved after the other girl. “Faith, wait…”
