Ah, the Thursday thread, it's been a while. Long live the Thursday thread.

It's humid and gross. Instant sweat for no good reason is not my idea of fun, heh. Now, if there's a good reason, then that's a different story.

Happy Thursday!

Thursday.... the schedule is: continue packing & purging, haul stuff to storage locker, clean floors, check out new storage locker, mail more resumes, sign up for another job search...

All things considered, I could use some good weather & today seems like it will fit that: muggy but cooler.

So, today will be a beautiful day!! :grin

Because, I said so!!

Ahhhh I can feel the cool breeze flowing through the kitchen. The only problem is that it's like the fricken Amityville horror in here. The flies are everywhere. I can't get rid of the little bastards. I swat one and it gives birth to forty. Maybe I need an exorcist.

Either way it beats the mosquitos. At least the flies aren't biting me just drinking my chai.

Suzy, good luck with the purging and searching.

Have you watched the Jaws saga? Remember that the big white sharks followed the sheriff and his family around the world in every movie in order to revenge their dead relatives? Hmm, remember that? Now do you remember that fly that must still be plastered on the wall of a room in a certain hotel that shall remain nameless? I think you have just met all it´s vengeful little cousins. :p

Ah, the Thursday thread.:bow All hail our old friend the Thursday thread.

No vengeful fly issues here today but I do have to play beach volleyball in the company summer social tonight. Which means I'm soon to be an outclassed kitten. Perhaps I should start drinking now, it might help. :wink

:shock OMG Garf and Xita they've found me. I should have known that shady place would have little mafia flys that would hunt me down. I'll have to watch for little masses of them mixing up concrete.:yikes But you are absolutely right, I'll bet that fly is still smashed on the wall in that room.

Ok, so not quite Thursday yet... but, I won’t be on the board for a while as my honey is flying in tomorrow! YAY!

With all the daily threads popping up again, I thought it might be nice to revive this old one. I usually don’t care for Thursdays but as you can tell I am excited about this one, its been a whole 3 weeks since I’ve seen my baby (seems like 3 years) although we talk on a daily basis, there is nothing like actually being with someone. *sigh*

Anyway, on with the Thursday Thread!

Thursday.

Well, yesterday I confronted a fear and was pleasantly surprised at what happened.... in a good way.

I don't expect the fear to go away. Irrational feelings don't disappear just because you know they are irrational or that you know you will be fine. You just move through life the best you can & know that life will go on.

Now, today is Thursday & I will confront fear again knowing I survived it yesterday. Hopefully, it will go just as smoothly.

Hello Thursday. Goodbye Thursday.

Can't be Friday soon enough. I know this is a worn out subject from me, but, I can't help it. I hate traffic. I drive for a living so I really see all too much of it. Grrrr.

Anyway, Friday leads to Saturday which then goes into Sunday which equals...FOOTBALL!!! Football good. Football makes everything alright. There is just something about grown men pummeling each other that makes me happy. Sad I know.

Hello Kittens-

But its not just Thursday. It's the eleventh day of the eleventh month, and at the eleventh hour locally the local Air Guard did a fly over in Missing Wingman formation over our National Cemetery. Being an Air Force brat that brings things home. My Canadian wife wondered where the poppies were that are so common in Canada. There the generation that knew the poppies of Flanders is but a fading mist of memory, and the Canadians that went ashore on June 6 1944 and went to Korea are a dwindling band. There are no songs about UN duties or peacekeeping, but that red maple leaf has been out there trying to make the world a better place.

In America the day goes past with a few war movies and a smaller group each year remembering The Old Days. Another generation is becoming veterans in a war that shows up on CNN between commercials for low interest loans and diet cola. Here's to a day when Veterans Day and Remembrance Day are all is left of war.

Crap, I'm 50-something minutes too late for Thursday and we don't really need an "It's just Friday, MKF!" daily thread, do we?

Today, I think it rained all day. Niiiiice! Oddly, it's gotten progressively warmer and is now, after midnight, warmer than it was this afternoon. Spooky. It's also our secondary tornado season. :grin

Which reminds me that I'm really excited about that "Day of Destruction" miniseries on TV soon. Anything involving tornadoes fascinates me to no end.

Hope everyone had a happy Thursday and has a happy weekend!

Well, the same is true today in the "mitten" plus fog. AND it is deer season... deer hunting season which means the deer are running & the hunters are running & it is truly dangerous to walk the woods, drive the roads AND leave the house.

The good thing is that it isn't snowing..... yet.

Yuk, at the thought of eating road kill. That's what I see them as and blech at the though of it chopped into sausage. As if there is any way to make that tastey. *shudders*

Happy Thursday people. It's a stunningly gloomy 54 degree afternoon. Gotta love that in mid November.

Thursday, yet again. I think I had a touch of the flu, whatever that means. It was just enough to make me miserable for one day. Heh. And a few twinges in the days following. I'm good now, though.

The weather has been fine. Not too cold and no more snow, though there is still some on the ground from the last time.

"Hello Thursday! How are you today? Warm and 60? Good to hear"

Me like spring time weather in the winter, to bad it is affecting our snow pack which in turn affects our H2o supply for the summer. That said I really, really like the weather.

Had my review at work the other day. Got as raise, not much of one but I can’t be greedy. Also had an interview for another position within the company, turned it down though. Seemed more like a lateral move rather than the advancement I was looking for. Well that’s all that is new Thursday.

Have a good day!
