AMBER BENSON'S "CHANCE" TO BE AVAILABLE ON VHS & DVD

Living in the twenty-first century isn't exactly easy. Trying to find true love in this crazy mixed-up world isn't a piece of cake either. Sometimes, you simply have to take a chance.

"CHANCE" is a dark comedy created by Amber Benson. This critically acclaimed film showcases her talents not only as an actress, but as a director, writer and producer. She portrays the title character, Chance, a twenty-something girl looking for love in all the wrong places. Through it all, Chance is determined to find The One. The cast boasts familiar faces as well as up-and-comers: James Marsters (Spike from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel") as Simon, Andy Hallett (The Host on "Angel"), the hilarious Christine Estabrook ("Nikki") as Chance's mother, Tressa diFiglia, and more.

This film has been screened at such prestigious events as the Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival in Birmingham, Alabama. However, it has never been released in theatres. It has also never been available for purchase and home viewing . . .

Until now, that is.

At the Chance website - http://www.chancemovie.com - you may now buy a signed never before seen photo (color 8x10) taken on the set of Chance or a signed second printing of the Chance poster and receive a FREE DVD or VHS copy of the film Chance. You will receive the photo or poster as soon as your order is processed. Once we have acquired enough orders to make our first shipment, the DVD or VHS will be sent to you. So tell everyone you know -- The faster the orders come in, the faster we can deliver!

If you purchase ONLY the poster or ONLY the photo, the cost is $45 plus shipping and handling. S&H in the United States is $6. International S&H - meaning anywhere other than the United States - is $10.

You may also purchase both the poster AND the photo. You will receive one copy of the film. The cost is $55 plus shipping and handling. S&H in the United States is $8. International S&H is $13.

If the form at the website is not compatible with your computer, you may also email your orders to bensonentertainment@hotmail.com or mail your order form to:

Benson Entertainment

14622 Ventura Blvd. Box #364

Sherman Oaks, CA 91403

Be sure to enclose your order form and use a name and address that will be good for 3 or 4 months.

Thank you for supporting all of the blood, sweat and tears that went into Chance. We hope to hear from you soon!

Hehe. I've already sent an e-mail thru their site as well as from my e-mail provider. Then I also tried sending money thru my account with PayPal to bensonentertainment@hotmail.com, only to get the message that they weren't yet registered. Oh, well. I can be patient for as long as it takes. :grin

Will anyone who gets a reply please post to let the rest of us know?? I just want to get an idea of the time frame for the Benson's (or whoever) response to the requests.

Two years ago during the Chance fundraiser, I believe it was Jen, who was a major sweetie.

from what LW said that this whole thing was just put up today and they need time to set up the account and everything.

The announcement just went out earlier today. Give us all a few days to soak in the initial response. We will let everyone know what's what every step of the way. Rest assured.

that is a direct quote from LW about when we will get the reply's from our emails. i will keep everyone updated from what i LW says

Okay, before I make one of the moronic mistakes I'm known for, I have a question. I was filling out the form on the site when I get the "Format" box. I'm in the US, so I would pick the NTSC US one, right? Am I correct in assuming that this has something to do with the regions?

Ignorantly yours,

Re: chance on dvd

Postby xita » Tue Jul 08, 2003 11:19 pm

Yes that info is for regions. If you live in the us you want to pick that NTSC US choice. PAL is for countries abroad mostly. Also I don't think that form works at all, you are better off emailing in the first place. Just include all the information they have on the form.

I'll take a Chance on Amber any day rather than having to listen to 70's dance hits.

I e-mailed all of my contact info and did the Paypal thing even adding some extra money for Amber to help defray costs and to show her how much of an inspiration she is to writers everywhere, even humble amateur scribes such as myself.

As Terrence Stamp said in Adventures of Priscilla:Queen of the Desert, "No More F***ing Abba"

Edited as this is a clean wholesome board:whistle

Woo hoo, I just tried my PayPal account again, and sent it to bensonentertainment@hotmail.com and it accepted it, even though it said "The recipient of this payment is unverified." A couple of hours ago, it wouldn't accept the payment; the message said something like "recipient unknown."

Yippeeeeee. :bounce :clap :balloons :party :dance

Oh yes it looks like they are sending confirmation letters now that ask for the payments to be sent there and it's working.

Unverified just means they haven't finished the whole bank account verification deal which if they opened the account today wouldn't happen for a few days.

Man, I wish I weren't so friggin' poor! Well, my birthday is coming up, perhaps I can persuade a friend of the parentals to get it for me. I hope, I hope. Such wonderful news though. I'm glad it will finally be distributed. I always just barely miss the screenings! May Amber have the best of success on this project.

I am just a few pennies shy in my PayPal account, but as soon as I can I'll be getting this.

Too bad she doesn't have credit card ordering yet.

Best of luck to Amber on this!
