Shadows of Life
She hides in the shadows of life,
Watching her days pass by,
As people laugh,
She smiles through her tears,
Wishing she could join their games.
But she isolates herself,
Afraid of who she is,
That the world will point and glare,
And the people will turn their backs,
So ashamed, she hides her face.
Wearing a mask she's brave,
Facing the world as another,
So she will wear the mask,
Till it becomes her face.
And she will hide in the shadows of life.
This next poem's about how people force thier views on you, and how it feels to have people always tell you what to do and think and so fourth...
Twisted
Everyday you pull me down,
Drag me to your level,
You pin me to the floor,
And force yourself upon me.
I fight so hard and never win,
You're all around me,
Gravitating yourself in my direction,
Making me see your ways.
But one day I'll overcome you,
You're not as strong as you think,
Not immortal.
Not painless.
You made me learn to fight,
And I know one day I'll win,
Soon you'll be the one,
Laying broken on the floor.
