Hello Kittens-

I am so glad it's Thursday. Fate was playing April Fool's with my life at work all week, but now I'm home. I'm pulling the sheets over my head and not coming out until the world apologizes or the ibuprofen kicks in, which ever comes first.

From hiding,

It's been nice and sunny all week. Got up to 70 the other day. Good deal. I don't mind cloudy days, but sunshine is nice once in a while. Vitamin D is supposedly good for you or something.

Hope everyone's Thursday is better than the last.

Well today (in 3 hours) begins my second interview phase with this company, so here's to hopping!

It's funny, I came to the Kitten right after losing my job, a job I really loved. Now this one I am interviewing for is doing the same kind of work and I find out one of my old co-workers is there pushing for me.

So yeah me! ;)

Hope your Thursdays are good, my is alright so far.

Ah...sweet, sweet Thursday. Huzzah!

It's been nice and warm here. We were skirted by some fantastic thunderstorms last night, so we got nice lightning and thunder, but no huge rain and wind and hail. I think last night was The Perfect Spring Night. I had to just stop and stand there and feel it, it was so perfect.

Today, there was a dove on my windowsill. :heart

I have an 8-week writing workshop that starts tonight. I'm excited about that. Good times. The universe is good to me on Thursdays. :grin

Tim, I hope your interview went well.

And I hope all the Kittens have tremendously wonderful Thursdays.

Ah, Thursday. It's been so long. except not really, but that's okay. It's been a nice Thursday so far. a little chilly at 40 degrees. It's really green outside though, and that's pretty cool.

I saw a robin collecting dried grass and stuff to build a nest. Pulled some weeds. Yay spring.

All the damn spiders are coming out of hiding though.

Ooh, it's Earth Day today. I forgot. oh well.

Wow it's been the longest week TGIF tomorrow. Spuckies father died last Saturday and she has spent the week in Boston leaving the kids with me. Consequently I have been very busy and have't slept very well. On a good note my baby horse had a bareback pad on for the first time today and he did SO well. Happy Thursday Kittens :)

So, the day started and I knew my name and had my pants on. So far, so good. Yay.

Thursdays are great - especially the ones I get paid!

Yesterday was a lovely day. I spent the day at home with my honey, and we just had a lazy day, watching tv, playing ps2 and snuggling. And now it's Friday, and I have thoughts of the weekend to get me through this day (which already feels way to long!)

Found my little errant thread.

Thursday once more! I am actually looking forward to one, means Friday is almost here and I get to catch up on some things (yay for things! And snorkels, cant forget the snorkels :P ).

I missed this thread. It always allows me to complain, moan, groan and bitch if necessary. But also I get to express how much I have liked posting on the board. (This is where I applaud the mods for all the great work they do! :heart )

Welcome back little Thursday Thread. May you live long and prosper.

Ah, sweet, sweet Thursday. Flowers and thunderstorms and joy. I'm kind of high because my writing project is going really, really well and my workshop is tonight. Workshops rock. It really raises the bar to have an immediate audience for what you've written. And all the bits in my head have recently coalesced into a functional plot. Praise be to functional plots. Sucks, though, that it's temporarily put the W/T fic I was working on on the back burner. When things settle down a little bit, I hope to be able to focus more energy on that, because I think it's a good story worth telling.

So much stuff sucks. The news sucks so bad there are no words for it. Some aspects of my life suck pretty bad. That's just life. I still have lots of stuff to be blissed out about and that's what I'm paying most attention to. Yay!

Hope everyone has a happy Thursday. :heart

Thursday, Thursday, it was all I'd hoped it would be...

:yawn

It's 3:30 a.m. Thursday is fresh and still damp and smells like honeysuckle and puppy bellies.

I'm happy to be alive to see it. I hope the rest of you have Thursdays worthy of being alive for.

It's nail biting thursday for me. Today's the big job interview. The first I've been on since 1993. I think I'm entitled to butterflies. I was fine until today. I had a very casual attitude. Now I think I actually want the job. Go figure.

Suzy, you got doggie call I got kid call. I think mine might have been louder. :P

No, Urnie, it isn't a doggie call.... it's worse... a kitty call...

You have cats, so you must know how persistent they are... and my "wonderful" little alarm clock will not stop... until he gets fed what HE considers enough food. Which means that he will come back & meow for more food when he's done with his appetizer.

I think he's spoiled.

And I second the "good luck with the interview"... knock 'em dead... or at least happy.

Good luck Urnie :)

Kitty wakeup calls are the best: having Macbeth or the Morrigan walk slowly up your body (on very pointy feet - cats being delicate is a lie btw) to stare in your face. Sometimes I wonder if the Morrigan is thinking "is she edible?", then she curls up into a bread loaf and purrs hard - when ignored she pats my face with a paw. With Macbeth wakeup calls over the past year have involved sneezing. Not pleasant at any time, but when the sneeze is inches away from your face, well..... Still he's just so loveable. :heart

Thanks ladies,

I'd say it went well. It was a four man panel interview. The prune-iest bunch you'll ever see. I made an accounting/tax time joke that made them laugh but then it was back to straight line faces. I'm not crossing my fingers for this one but the encouragement was very helpful.

Thanks!

Well first you have to picture a room full of the most serious old guys in existance. The kind that wished that women weren't necessary and that I was cooking them some freshed killed animal flesh. We were discussing my experience with numbers and with balancing accounts. They were as straight line faced as anyone could be. They weren't impressed one bit. Then I said how my skills made the tax man smile and that I'd like to make their's smile too. The youngest guy had quite a grin and a few chuckled. Thinking about it now it really isn't that funny except for the fact that these very serious guys actually cracked a smile. I'm reading as much as I can into it. :P

I found out yesterday that there were four other applicants and one already holds a similar position. I'm staying positive.

Thank's for risking keyboarding injuries with the finger crossing.

well no one is as stupid as the guy on the left. The guy in the middle could use a good lay. And the guy on the right has to stay very close to the guy on the left or it's too complicated to maneuver the puppet strings.

I'm sad to report that I didn't get the job. *sobs* They gave it to some old broad with more experience. Damn them and their high standards. I guess I'll just have to do something else to fill my time. Thanks for the good thoughts people. I do love kittens!!!!
