Oh wow Jea! I return to find an update from you! :-D and it was a marvolous one at that! I so loved the interaction between Willow, Tara and the girls....the conversation was so real (well...you know...if you take out the bit about the magic hehe) It was so sweet when they all cuddled together to talk about the new baby. I was all tearful when I read that part. :blush And I'm glad that there is no need for me to pull my hair out trying to figure out if it's going to be a boy or a girl :-D (thanks for clearing that up so quickly) and Yay! a girl! Just what I always wanted! (among other suggestions....)

You know I love this fic....and I'm so glad that you updated.

Hello sweet kittens, :wave

Look at all that feedback, it's so overwhelming that there's so many of you still interested and enjoying this fic of mine. You all rock :bow

I noticed that there's quite a few new readers, which is just, wow! :bounce So, I just want to say a big & very warm WELCOME to you all. There's plenty of comfy seats for everyone, & feel free to help yourself to snacks and refreshments. :) :flower

Okay, I have update-y goodness coming up soon, but first, I need to say lots of thank you's to everyone who left sweet feedback. I cannot tell you how much your words mean to me. :flower

dender456: Thanks, I'm glad you like the fic & yeah, Lydie & Jules were cute with all the questions weren't they? :)

Irene: Hey sweetie :wave,
You want to be Tara's gynaecologist? I guess I could do that for you, in fact, it would be my pleasure to sort that out for you. :)
Yeah, those were some bad names weren't they? Lol. Believe it or not, Algernon, is something that my mum calls me every once in a while. Ethelbert, uhm, I may have been called that a couple of times too :) but, I'm fairly certain that Ethelbert is a cartoon tiger in a kiddie programme that my nieces watch (if anyone is aware of the cartoon & knows what it's called, please tell me, 'cos it's driving me crazy).
Heehee, I'm glad you thought abso-tively was cute, I must admit, it's something that I say quite a lot :) Aww, some of those words that you said your children used to say are really cute :)
Aww, sweetie, it's so touching that you think I'll make a good mommy some day - I adore children & I really hope to have a whole bunch of them in the future :x
It means a lot that you're proud of me for my uni work - thanks :flower & I know that you'll be cheering for me when it's my graduation :)

Henny: Yeah, psychology was a hard study, but, I'm all finished now & I never have to think of it again :bounce
Thanks for the sweet feedback, I'm glad that you love my story so much :) :flower
I'm gonna have lots of fun writing caring/fussing/supportive Willow - I just hope that I manage to write it convincingly & accurately.
Yeah, the twins are wonderful aren't they? :)
I know, poor Tara, but Willow's there to look after her.
Oh, & congratulations on being the 500th poster in my thread :bounce :dance :bounce :dance :D

AlysonGoddess: Thank you for the feedback, I'm glad you like it. :)

Kaia: Aww, thank you, your feedback means a lot to me :flower

stillrunning: I know, the twins name choices are a little, very bad, but in a cute way, aren't they? Rest assured, I would never name a child Algernon or Ethelbert.
Thanks for the feedback, more coming soon.

FloatingRose: Yeah, Willow was all sweet looking after Tara, I love writing their interactions. :x
Yep, they're having a baby - it's all aww & yay! :)
Lol, I say the more !!!!'s the better - happy enthusiasm is of the good. :D

Reds: Thanks for the good luck with my exams, they all went well. :)
Yep, cuddle time is all good :x
Oh, I'm kinda glad I had you fooled, I like having that little element of suprise :) & yeah, kiddies asking questions is very cute.
Lol, wow, look at Smutty go - I like that he's excited about the baby :)

Rose24: Aww, I'm sorry it's been so long between updates - RL. I'm glad you waited though - that really means so much to me :flower
& I shall pass on your congrats to Willow & Tara :)

umgaynow: Ah yes, it will be fun to see how Willow reacts when the booby fairy visits :D

Candybabe: Well hello, :wave & a very warm welcome to my fic.
Thank you so much for your detailed feedback.
You read it all in one sitting (plus breaks :) )? Now that's really something - thank you. :flower
I'm glad you like Dawn & Kate, and I'm glad you enjoyed their wedding & their vows :)
Heehee, that little bit was kinda hot wasn't it? :eyebrow
The kids certainly are adorable & thanks for saying that I write their speech well. :) Lydie's coming out certainly was good wasn't it? :) Hmm, I'm not sure what Willow's policy on when Lydie can start taking an interest in girls is :hmm. I'm sure she'll be happy as long as her baby girl is happy :)
Yes, I admit it, I'm a sucker for the romance :x I'm glad you feel I write it well. :)
Quote:
“Hey Dawn.” Willow greeted, lightly hugging Dawn, before turning to Tara, who was hovering in the doorway. “You remember Tara right?”

“I remember crushing on Tara, and right now I’m remembering why.” Dawn smiled, making Tara blush furiously.

:clap I can so believe that! Oh, i'm right there with ya Dawnie!! :blush Except I never forgot why. :eyebrow

I agree completely :)
More fic coming soon - I hope you continue to enjoy it.

GayNow: No worries about taking a while to leave feedback - the fact that you did is wonderful & means a lot to me. You read the whole thing a couple of times? Wow! - thank you :-D
I'm glad you like Lydie & Jules.
Tara certainly is extraordinary & extremely strong. There was no question of her forgiving Willow, those girls are soul mates, they can get through anything. :x
Update is coming soon & we'll see lots of fun scenes of the doting family. :)

singgirl: Aww, another sweet kitten who read the whole of my fic in one go - it really does mean more to me than I could ever put into words.
I know, the premise of this fic is rather risky, so I understand your original trepedition. I'm glad that you decided to give it a chance though, 'cos this is a Willow & Tara fic & there'll be nothing but W/T sweetness in it :x
It's such a huge compliment that you feel I write & develop all of the characters so well :)
More very soon.

Irishlassie101: Hi, :wave
Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you thought it was wonderful :)
Yeah, Dawn got her share of happiness - we all deserve some happiness & Dawn is no exception.

Emms: Hey there sweetie :wave, how you doing?
I'm glad you felt the conversation (minus the magic, of course) was so real, that is such a huge compliment :x
Aww, I made you tearful - in a good way right sweetie? :)
Yeah, I couldn't put you through all the hair pulling & wondering about whether the baby will be a boy or a girl & I'm glad you're happy that it's gonna be a girl :)
I do indeed know that you love this story - just as I so love your feedback & all of your wonderful fics too :)
Another update for you very soon.

Okay, that's all the individual replies, I have update-y goodness coming soon. It's a 2 parter, part one is complete & will be posted right after this; part two just needs finishing off & checking & should be ready early on tomorrow (UK time).

Hugs

Chapter 30a

Postby kindagay » Tue May 17, 2005 2:13 pm

Hello kitties :wave

As I said, this is a two-parter, this (chapter 30a) is the pre-party & the next part (which will be posted tomorrow) will be the actual party.

____________________________________________________________________________________________

Later that day everyone was at Tara’s old apartment getting ready for Dawn and Kate’s party. Tara and Willow were preparing the food; Anya and Xander were busy with decorations and Buffy had gone to pick Dawn and Kate up from the airport.

“Mommy, when will Aunt Dawn and Auntie Kate be here?” Julia enquired as she emptied a bag of cheese puffs into a bowl.
“The plane lands at three, and Buffy said they should be here by five ‘o clock at the latest.”
“What time is it now?”
“Quarter past three.”

Julia looked at the clock above the kitchen counter and tilted her head to one side; with the tip of her tongue peeping between her teeth and a pensive frown she carefully counted on her fingers.

“So they’ll be here in, one hour and uhm, three quarters.”
“That’s right sweetie.” Tara smiled proudly at the little girl.

“Tada, can me and Ryan have some juice?”
“Ryan and I.” Willow corrected.
“Can Ryan and I have some juice?” Lydia asked again.
“Please.” Willow reminded her daughter.
“Can Ryan and I have some juice please?” Lydia asked yet again, looking at her mommy in anticipation of another picky correction.

Willow nodded her head approvingly and Tara and Lydie shared a giggle as they rolled their eyes at the older redhead.

“There’s nothing funny about talking properly and having good manners little miss, and as for you.” Willow pointed a bread stick towards Tara. “You’re supposed to back me up on these things, not roll your eyes and laugh at me.” The redhead’s lower lip jutted out in a pout.
“Sorry sweetie.” Tara apologised with a soft kiss to Willow’s cheek, before leaning toward her lover.
“You can punish me later.” The blonde whispered seductively, causing Willow to almost choke on the piece of bread stick that she’d just bitten off.

“Do you want apple or orange juice Lydie?”
“Apple please.”

Tara walked slowly across the kitchen to get some juice, swaying her hips just enough to render Willow completely speechless, knowing full well that the redhead’s eyes would be intently focused on her ass.

At that moment, Anya appeared to collect the bottle that she’d asked Tara to warm up for Alicia. Being Anya, it took her a mere second to recognise the underlying sexual tension between the two wiccans.

“Willow you have a drooly look on your face like you’re having naughty thoughts. Were you two just being inappropriate? Xander, the lesbian’s are being inappropriate in front of the children. It’s highly unfair, Willow gives me long lectures and disapproving glares whenever I say or do something inappropriate.”

“Uhm, I think I’ll uhm, take the kids to the park for a while.”
Tara could sense an argument brewing and had decided it would be a good idea to get the children out of the way.

“I was not being inappropriate Anya.” Willow defended herself vehemently once the children had left.
“If you say so, but you were definitely having lusty, naughty thoughts about Tara being all naked and sweaty, and possibly tied up in some way.”
“ANYA!”
“Don’t pretend it’s not true, I know all about you lesbians and your kinky sex.”
“We do not have kinky sex.” Willow insisted weakly, her face blushing a deep shade of red.
“You don’t? Really? Why not? I really think you should, it might stop you from being so uptight and serious all the time. Really Willow, you’d be much more relaxed if every once in a while Tara gave you a good, long, hard, f…”

“Anya, honey, is that bottle ready?”

Xander, who could hear every word, chose this moment to interrupt; not wanting to even consider what might have happened if his wife had actually finished her thought.

“Yes Xander, it’s right here.” Anya left the kitchen cheerily, completely oblivious to the metaphorical smoke billowing out of the redhead’s ears.
“Good, ‘cos Alicia’s just figured out that I’m the parent without breasts and I don’t think she’s very happy about it.”

A disgruntled cry from the baby girl confirmed this statement.

Willow took a deep, calming breath, grateful that she’d been spared from Anya’s rant about the benefits of kinky sex.

----------------------------------

“Well, I’m glad to see that Anya’s still alive.” Tara praised her love when she returned from the park.
“Just barely, and only thanks to Xander.” Willow admitted sheepishly. “Did you have to leave me all alone with her? You don’t want to know what she was saying to me, I swear I was two seconds away from covering her in carrots and setting a big gang of hungry bunnies on her.”

Tara giggled at the image and kissed Willow’s cheek softly.
“You’re adorable.”
“I was trying to be all annoyed and threatening.”
“Oh of course, very annoyed and threatening, but still adorable.”

“That was Buffy; they’ll be here in two minutes.” Xander announced as he put down the phone, urging everyone to scurry around in search of a hiding place.

The rattle of a key in the door brought silence to the room, and the door was pushed open slowly to the peaceful stillness of the apartment.

“Okay you two, courtesy of Willow and Tara, and don’t forget to thank them by the way, I’d like to welcome you, to your new home.”

Buffy’s voice drifted through the silence, and even though Dawn and Kate were too wrapped up in each other to hear what she was saying, her words acted as a signal and a second later the newlyweds were shocked out of their own little world by a loud cheer of

“SURPRISE!”

______________________________________________________________________________________________

Hope you all enjoyed. Stay tuned for the party, it'll be posted very soon.

Hugs

Jea, this is why I'm such a big fan of your writing...

Willow pointed a bread stick towards Tara.

You have a way of putting comedy into the smallest of details. In fact, and I'm not just saying this but, I think that is the funniest line ever written in a fic EVER! From now on, I'm going to go around pointing bread sticks at various people using the stick of bread as a tool to help articulate my point of view and allow the arguee the knowledge that I meant what I've said *Pointing stick of bread* And I've said what I meant!. *more pointing*

Hehe! :lol Great (and FUNNY) update! :applause

“Willow you have a drooly look on your face like you’re having naughty thoughts. Were you two just being inappropriate?"

Oh, Anya, you can always count on her for a good laugh. But seriously, who wouldn't have a "drooly look" on their face in the presence of Tara?

Part 30b

Postby kindagay » Wed May 18, 2005 5:40 am

Hello kitties :wave

Okay, just a quick Thank you to Emms, Irene & watersong84. I'll do proper replies for parts 30a & 30b together, but I just wanted to say thanks before I post the next part.

& now, here's part 30b - the party

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

“Oh my god, you guys! Is this just for us?” Dawn exclaimed, touched by her family’s kindness.
“Of course, it’s a joint welcome home, house warming party.”
“And an open all your wedding presents party too.” Lydia chipped in, taking her Aunt Dawn’s hand and trying to drag her towards the table of presents.
“Whoa there sweetie, we’ll get to the presents in a while.” Dawn picked up her niece. “Give me a hug first.”
Lydia wrapped her arms affectionately around Dawn’s neck.
“I missed you Aunt Dawnie.”
“I missed you too baby girl.”
“Can you open your presents now?”

“Lydie, don’t bug Dawn and Kate, they’ll open their presents later on.” Willow warned the little girl as she hugged Dawn.
“Welcome home Dawnie.”
“This place is amazing Will, thank you so much. I can’t believe you’ve given us a whole apartment.”
“Well, we were hardly gonna give you half of an apartment were we? I’m glad you like it sweetie, but, it was all Tara’s idea really.”

Many hugs and thanks later, everyone was enjoying the party. The kids were running around playing hide and seek; Buffy, Xander and Willow were dancing; Tara was showing Dawn and Kate around the apartment and Anya had Alicia sat on her lap while she fed her some mashed banana.

Lydia, who was supposed to be counting to twenty while Jules and Ryan searched for hiding places, was stood inquisitively watching Anya and Alicia.

“Auntie Anya, can I have a try at feeding baby Alicia please?”
“Okay, here you go, but don’t complain if she spits up all over you.”

Taking the bowl and the little plastic spoon from her aunt, Lydia filled the spoon with mashed banana and held it up to her little cousin’s mouth.

“Open up little Alicia, I got some yummy ‘nana for you.”

The first attempt resulted in most of the banana dribbling down Alicia’s chin, Lydia went to wipe the mush away with the bib, but Anya stopped her.

“You can’t just wipe up everything that she dribbles; she’d end up not eating anything if you do that. Scoop it off her chin with the spoon and try again.”

After a couple more failed attempts, Lydie smiled proudly as she finally got the baby to actually eat some banana.

“I did it, Auntie Anya I did it, she ate some banana.”
“Your enthusiasm is odd but rather cute; you can finish feeding her if you like.”
“Really? I can feed her all of her banana? Wow, thanks Auntie Anya.”

Willow looked over to see what had her daughter so excited and her heart almost melted as she saw how gentle and patient Lydie was being with her baby cousin. The redhead walked over to where Tara was stood talking to Dawn and Kate, wrapped her arms around the blonde’s waist and nodded her head towards Lydia.

“It looks like someone’s practicing for being a big sister.” She whispered softly to her love.
“She’s so good with her.” Tara’s face lit up as her eyes smiled softly at the scene.
“Yep, she’s a natural, all patient and mother hen like, and Jules will be exactly the same.” Willow assured the blonde, giving her a gentle kiss.

Having been hidden for over five minutes, Jules and Ryan had set off to search for Lydia. Noticing that Lydie was too preoccupied with Alicia to play hide and seek any more, Julia went over to Dawn and tugged on the brunette’s hand to get her attention.

“Aunt Dawnie, can you open your presents now please?”
Dawn smiled at her niece and allowed the little girl to lead her and Kate over to the presents.

Half an hour later, Lydie and Jules were wondering why they had been so excited about the presents being opened. They had all looked so pretty and interesting when they were wrapped up like a pile of Christmas presents, but the items contained within the pretty paper and boxes were, well, pretty boring really, or at least, that’s what the children thought. They were all grown up things, a microwave; a toaster; an answering machine; pots and pans; cutlery; plates; a few ornaments that were very pretty but that the children weren’t allowed to touch; quilt covers and blankets; towels; some pot plants and a collection of other random boring items.

The children decided that the present opening experience needed to be made more entertaining. Alicia started to excitedly scrunch and crinkle the pretty paper; Ryan and Julia built a house and a boat out of empty boxes, and Lydie collected all the ribbons and bows so that she could make necklaces and things for everyone.

By nine thirty all the presents had been opened, most of the food had been eaten and the children were either fast asleep, or very close to being fast asleep.

Dawn and Kate, who were snuggled quietly together in one of the large comfy chairs, gave simultaneous yawns and decided that it was time to kick everyone out and retire for the night.

“Time for us to go?” Buffy asked softly, having noticed the fatigue in Dawn and Kate’s eyes.
“Yeah, I think so. I’m sorry guys, I know it’s still kinda early and we really do appreciate the party and everything you’ve done for us but, what with all the travelling we’ve done today and everything, we really need to be getting some sleep.”
“It’s okay sweetie, we should get the twins home to bed anyway, otherwise they’ll be all cranky tomorrow.” Willow explained as Tara nodded her agreement.
“And Ryan and Alicia need their beds too.” Xander added understandingly.
“Thanks, really, thank you, for everything.”

“Sleep? We’re supposed to buy that crap? They just want rid of us so that they can have sex in their new bed.” Anya observed in a sceptical whisper as she and Xander gathered the children from where they had fallen asleep on the bed in the spare room.
“Anya, I really don’t think…”
“Don’t argue with me Xander, you know it’s true.”
“Okay, whatever you say honey.”
Xander decided it was best not to get into a debate with his wife, opting instead to acquiesce in the hope of having a peaceful night.

And so thank yous and goodbyes were exchanged, children were bundled safely into cars and the newlyweds were left alone to enjoy their first night together in their new home.

I hope you enjoyed it

Sorry I didn't reply with the last update, but I wanted to wait until you had both parts posted so I could treat it as a whole.

This story remains delightful. I really enjoy the interactions between and among the characters. It's clear how comfortable they all are with each other -- even Willow and Anya, surprisingly enough. And you write the children with such wonderful innocence -- of course the kids are going to be excited about the presents; and of course they are going to be less than excited about what's underneath the pretty wrapping. But how fun to see them make houses and boats and necklaces out of the remains!

Again, a great update, Jeanne. As always, I'm looking forward to more.

Hey Jeanne!

Wow. You never cease to amaze me. I had some catching up to do on my reading, and I'm so glad I came back to find several wonderful updates from you. Your characters and their interactions are always absolutely incredible and everything else everybody else has already said. I just wanted to say that whenever I read your updates, they make me feel good, take me to a happy place and really make my day. Thanks for that.

Can't wait for more!

yay Jea! another update so quickly! :-D I have to say, the party was just adorable, and I was all like...awww with Lydie feeding the baby, and Anya's comment about her enthusiasm being odd but rather cute was so funny.

I have to admit, that I got all caught up in party mode and I was feeling as excited as the kids were for the presents to be opened, and just like they, I was also dissapointed by the tea cosies and tosters Dawn and Kate recieved as gifts... :-D Jeeze... I guess I expected someone to give them a gag gift or something...maybe something saucy... *wink wink* :eyebrow okay, I guess something saucy wouldn't have been appropriate since the kids were there....but maybe they could have another party...one filled with interesting gifts and glittery signs...

I'm sorry my feedback this time around isn't very comprehensive... I just got home from work, and boy was it a long day! *wipes brow* I'm a little :crazy and :sleep

Thanks for the update girly :-D I'll see ya in The Lounge....

Yay for the part-ay! :applause

I think by far the best thing in this update was when Lydia was feeding Alicia the bananas.
“Yep, she’s a natural, all patient and mother hen like, and Jules will be exactly the same.” Willow assured the blonde, giving her a gentle kiss.

I don't really know what is cuter (is "cuter" a word, I have no idea), Lydia's feeding Alicia or Willow's reaction to Lydia feeding Alicia. Either way, I don't think that Willow, Tara, Lydia, and Jules could be any more adorable together. :x

Dammit..."awww" doesn't cover this story, though, that seems an appropriate respose to every single update.

"some pot plants and a collection of other random boring items. "

I wanna get hitched and get pot plants as a wedding present ... and if that's a boring item then I can't wait to see the others.
OK not really, but it tickled me seeing it listed there.

Lovely story by the way. It's kinda like a bubble bath of domestic tranquility. Just enough tickle and fizz (inappropriate and otherwise) to keep it interesting.
Aaaaahhhhh. The good life.

This morning I was looking for a new story to read, and I'm glad that I picked this one. It's a very good story.

Firstly the twins are all kinds of cute :)

I have to say Bah to Oz acting all jealous and possesive after he abandoned them all. It's a good thing that for once Buffy was around when she was needed

The scenes with Anya giving birth were fun (though two months in labour, that's got to hurt) as was the wedding

Looking forward to seeing Willow and Tara's new baby and, presumably, their wedding?

Hello dear, sweet kittens, :wave How are you all today?

Okay, I have some update-y-ness all ready for posting, but first, I have some thank you's for the last 2 parts :flower

---------------------------------------------------
Part 30a

Emms: *points bread stick* Sweetie, I absolutely adored your feedback, it had me :rofl - thank you :flower I'm glad you found that little bit funny, uhm, :blush but I'm not sure about it being the funniest line in a fanfic ever :stop

Irene: Hey sweetie, :wave I'm good thanks, how are you? :)
Yep, you get to be the gynaecologist, I'm glad that made you happy :)
Hmm, now see, I think, 'cos Willow had pretty much been bringing the twins up on her own, she kinda, had to become more 'parental' so, that's why she was the one correcting Lydia.
And uhm...I on more than occassion might have done the exact same thing.

Do you know, that scene was written with my own mum in mind 'cos she's always correcting me when I talk, so, maybe it's a mum thing? Although, if I'm honest, I think I probably do the same thing with my nieces.

Really Willow, you’d be much more relaxed if every once in a while Tara gave you a good, long, hard, f…”

I think that goes for all of us. :D
Yeah, I think you're right :)
I'm glad my humour shines through, although, I didn't think the breadstick was THAT funny, but, if it makes people laugh, it's all good :)

watersong84: I'm glad it made you :lol Yeah, Anya's great for a laugh, & I don't think we can blame Willow far having a 'drooly face' :)

Part 30b

Carleen: Treating those parts as a whole is all good - no sorry needed :)
Aww, your feedback made me :) lots - thank you :flower
I'm so glad you enjoy the character's interactions & the children's 'wonderful innocence' :blush
Yeah, it was fun to see the kids making houses, boats & necklaces out of the packaging :)
Thanks for reading & commenting - more coming soon

Wimpy: Thank you, you're so sweet, & your feedback made me :) lots too :flower
I just wanted to say that whenever I read your updates, they make me feel good, take me to a happy place and really make my day
Thank you, I'm glad my update's make your day, your feedback certainly made my day. :D

Emms: Yes, an update so quickly - I really do spoil you :)
Yeah, Lydie was cute feeding baby Alicia wasn't she? :x
You wanted to see some naughty gag gifts? :eyebrow I'm sure Anya probably got them a naughty gift, but yeah, those kinds of presents wouldn't have been appropriate with the kids there.
You want another party with interesting gifts & glittery signs? :hmm Oh, I know, Willow & Tara can have a hen night with naughty gifts, uhm, but, not for a while yet though. Oh oh, can they have it at the Lounge? You'll be invited, of course, & all the regulars at the Lounge too... Oh, I'm all excited now, I can't wait to write it :D :bounce

watersong84: Part-ay = good, yes? :D
I'm glad you liked Lydie feeding Alicia. Yeah, 'cuter' is a word :) & I agree, W/T & the twins do make an adorable family :)

singgirl: 'Aww' is more than enough, every 'aww' feedback makes me smile :)

Boschi: You wanna get hitched & get a pot plant as a present :hmm, :lol
I'm glad the pot plants amused you :)
It's kinda like a bubble bath of domestic tranquility. Just enough tickle and fizz (inappropriate and otherwise) to keep it interesting

Thank you :flower that description made me feel all happy & good inside :)

Justin: Thank you for choosing my little story (:hmm, technically it's not so 'little' any more is it?) - I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Yeah, definitely bah to Oz, & yay! for Buffy being in the right place at the right time.
I'm glad you enjoyed Anya giving birth, although it was mean of me to make it last 2 months :) & I'm glad you enjoyed the wedding too.
Yep, there will be a Willow & Tara wedding, eventually, but, after the baby's born I think.

Okay, that's all the tank you's, stay tuned for the update

Hugs
Jeanne

Part 31

Postby kindagay » Tue May 24, 2005 7:07 am

Hello kitties :wave

Okay, update-y-ness, & I must warn, everything was beginning to seem a little bit TOO syrupy sweet, so this part could be described as being a teeny tiny bit angsty.

____________________________________________________________________________________________

“Lydia Danielle, get your little butt out of bed, you’re gonna be late for school.” Willow called up the stairs to her youngest daughter.
“I’m sick.” The little girl groaned from beneath her quilt.
“No you’re not.”
“How do you know?”
“Because if you were sick, Julia would be sick too and Jules is down here eating scrambled eggs and singing.”

Receiving no response Willow climbed up the stairs to her daughter’s room.

“Lydie.” She called softly as she eased the bedroom door open.
“I don’t wanna go to school.”
“How come?”
“The big kids are mean.” Lydia explained as she curled onto her mommy’s lap.
“What do they do?”
“They call us bad names and say nasty things about you and Tada.”
“How long’s this been happening baby girl?”
“A few weeks.”
“Have you told your teacher?”
“She didn’t do anything, she just told us to ignore them.”
“Do you know the big kid’s names sweetie?”
“No.”
“Okay honey, I’m gonna go and have a word with the principal and we’ll get this sorted out, okay?”
“Promise?”
“I promise sweetie. Now come on, let’s get you washed and dressed.”

----------------------------------

“Willow sweetie, you have to calm down.”

The redhead had been ranting since they had dropped the twins off in their classroom. The two wiccans were currently sat waiting outside the principal’s office.

“I will not calm down Tara; our little girl is scared to come to school because some petty minded, cold hearted, clueless idiots are calling her names just because you and I are together. We live in the twenty-first century for goodness sake, this is 2009, not 1909, I’d like to think that human kind has evolved just a little bit since the god damn stone age.”
“Honey, I know you’re upset and I agree with you, but you’re not going to achieve anything if you march into there all guns blazing.”
“I have brought my daughters up to be open minded and accepting of everyone. I’ve always been open with them about my sexuality and I’ve answered all of their questions and let them know that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. And then, they come to school, and they’re here less than six months and all of that, everything I’ve taught them, is being undermined, not just by the other children, but by the teachers too, who seem to be less than willing to deal with the issue.”
“Willow, breathe.” Tara placed her hands on Willow’s shoulders in an attempt to calm her lover.
“There’s a bill protecting children from homophobic bullying, that’s not just for kids who are gay you know, it’s for any child who suffers bullying which is motivated by homophobia. Just because Lydie and Jules are only in the first grade, that doesn’t mean that the bill doesn’t apply to them, they’re just as entitled to be protected as…”

Tara couldn’t stand it any longer; she decided that there was only one way to get Willow to calm down. The blonde cupped her love’s face in her hands and pressed her lips hard and full against Willow’s own.

“Ms Rosenberg.” A stern, deep voice broke the lovers from their kiss and Willow instantly recoiled as if she were a school girl who had just been caught smoking in the boiler room.
“Uhm, sorry, we uhm, I mean, I was, uhm, good morning Mr Cosgrove.” The redhead awkwardly stuck out her hand in greeting.

A quick handshake later the two wiccans followed the principal wordlessly into his office and sat on the small chairs in front of the large mahogany desk.

“What can I do for you today Ms Rosenberg?” The large, middle-aged man enquired, his attention focussed intently on some papers that were piled on his desk.
“Well, it’s about our daughters.”
“The twins? Yes, very pleasant children.”
“Thank you. Uhm, the thing is; it seems that they’re having some problems with some of your older students.”
“Problems?”
“Yes, Lydia and Jules are being picked on. Lydia didn’t want to come to school this morning because the older children have been calling her and Jules names.”
“And why would that be happening?”
“What?”
“Children are picked on for being different Ms Rosenberg, for having a weakness. If your daughters are being picked on, it will be for a reason.”
“Well, yes I know that. The reason they’re being picked on is because of mine and Tara’s relationship.”
“Who?”
“That would be me.” Tara piped up giving a small wave to draw Mr Cosgrove’s attention.
“Oh you.” The principal almost grunted in disapproval.

Through their linked hands Tara felt Willow’s irritation building. She gently stroked her thumb across the back of Willow’s hand in an attempt to calm the redhead down.

“Mr Cosgrove, with all due respect, and believe me, you are due no respect; whatever your opinion of our relationship, that is no reason to turn a blind eye to what is happening to our little girls. We entrust you and your staff with our children for six hours a day, five days a week, you have a duty to provide an environment where they feel safe and happy; so far, you have failed in this duty. What are you going to do about it?”
“Ms Rosenberg.”
“Excuse me I’m the one who asked the question.” Tara stood from her seat and leaned on the desk, effectively ensuring that the dark haired man had to make eye contact with her. “And don’t give me any crap.”

The principal squirmed under Tara’s hard glare, not daring to break the eye contact that had been forced upon him. Willow watched on in wonder at the silent power battle that Tara was clearly winning hands down.

“Ms Maclay, you have my word that I will look into the situation and do whatever I can to fix this problem. I have a staff meeting during this morning’s recess; I shall speak with all of my staff and make sure they know that this kind of behaviour is not acceptable and I will also find out which of the older children are involved and they shall be dealt with appropriately.”
“I sincerely hope you do fix this situation Mr Cosgrove, because if either of our children are ever scared to come to school again, I shall be forced to withdraw them from your school in favour of a more open minded and accepting educational establishment.”
“I understand. Thank you for drawing my attention to this situation.”
“Thank you for your time Mr Cosgrove. Good day to you.”

Tara turned on her heel and marched out of the office, with a stunned, speechless Willow following closely behind.

“Tara baby, you were so amazing in there. I’ve never seen you like that before.” Willow complimented her love as they got into the car.
“Well, he was ignoring me, and I don’t think he had any intention of doing anything. I, I just, our little girls are being picked on, I, I had to do something.”
“I know sweetheart.”

Willow kissed her love full and soft, her thumbs stroking the blonde’s cheeks.

“You were so incredibly hot in there, all take charge and assertive. You got me all turned on.” Willow pointed out, her voice low and a mischievous glint in her eyes.
“Yeah?”
“Oh yeah.”

Without another word Tara hurriedly started the car and took the quickest route home.

Ooooooo wow, you did great! Tara was a real bad ass, which was ironic because they way that Willow was going on and on in the hallway I was thinking that she would be the one to really let Mr cosgrove have it but it turned out to be Tara, which was :lol

And, poor Lydie and Jules... they are really going through a tough time with the bullies....People can be so mean and uncaring sometimes. :happy

Aright, I had more...because real life senarios tend to bring my seriously opinionated side out...there was this whole part about gay rights and blah blah blah how close-minded public school systems can be when it comes to anything other than traditional couplings, but I deleted the whole three paragraphs of rant, because I didn't want to be miss Negative Nelly and dwell on stupid principles and lazy teachers, when really, I loved the update and would much rather focus on the good parts.

So, even though I didn't mean to rant, I guess I kinda still did huh? Yeah....sorry about that :blush

I can't wait for another update Jea. And, of course Willow and Tara could have their party at The Lounge! It's always available to be the setting of any Willow and Tara function :-D

hehehehe :-D (sorry...I'm giddy with excitement)

Jeanne~

Really nice update, hun. Gotta say, I have to agree with Willow -- Take charge Tara is a turn on. :D

I hope that you will bring up this situation in future chapters so that we can see the effects of Tara's butch moment. Also might be interesting to see how Lydie and Jules handle the other kids -- what will Willow and Tara teach them about dealing with homophobia? Hmmmm

Thanks for the update, Jeanne!

That was cute. At the end there, I could practically see them, right after Willow said "Oh yeah"... both of them just staring at each other for a second and then bolting for the car...

Can I castrate Mr. Cosgrove with something blunt and rusty? Please? Pretty please with Homosexual Rights Tara on top? :P

Though, if I'd been Willow caught kissing Tara, I wouldn't have tried to justify myself for even a second. I probably just would have given him my uber-death-glare and followed him into his office. Then proceeded to rant.

Poor Lydie and Jules! Though I have this funny, funny mental picture wherein the bullying doesn't stop, and so Willow and Tara go to see the principal again... accompanied by Dawn, Kate, Buffy, Xander, Anya, Giles... you get the picture. Send in the cavalry!

I'm glad it's been dealt with though. Lydie and Jules should make some adorable friends their age that are all, "you have two mommies? Cool! I wish I had two of mine, 'cause she's all smart and stuff" or however innocent little five year olds would see it.

Great update! Shows some of the prejudice that goes on, without being too heavy on the angst. Though the image of little Lydie lying in bed with the quilt all up around her ears hiding from the bullies... somewhere between 'adorable' and 'heartbreaking'.

Jeanne :bigwave, it's been ages since I left feedback to this fic, and I do apologise.

did I do okay?

You did VERY okay, sweetie. Both W and T immediately confronting the bad bad principal on this, even though he gave his word I'm not sure how fervently he will follow up on his promise. That he kept ignoring Tara was so real, like he was wishing that by pretending she wasn't there he could delude himself into thinking she wasn't.

Let's hope Jules and Lydie don't get picked on anymore, cos their Tada will come and protect them!

Great stuff :applause .

Great update!
“You were so incredibly hot in there, all take charge and assertive. You got me all turned on.”

My sentiments exactly. Assertive-Tara is definately hot :-D . And Tara giving Willlow a :wtkiss to make her stop ranting is good too. I just hope that Lydie and Jules don't have problems at school anymore. I hate it when older kids pick on the cute, younger ones. :mad

Part 32

Postby kindagay » Mon May 30, 2005 5:20 pm

Hello sweet kittens :wave

Okay, it's late here in the UK, but, I wanted to get this update posted before I go sleepies.

First off, I just want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who left feedback for Part 31, I'll be back with individual replies later on tomorrow.

& now, update-y goodness...

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

“Okay, I just called doctor Lujan.”

Willow put a neat blue line through the little reminder on her multi-coloured ‘To Do’ list as she walked from the kitchen to the living room, where Tara was sat with her feet up, a mug of ginger and honey tea in her hands and a water bottle resting against her stomach.

“Who?”
“Doctor Lujan, the gynaecologist, remember I told you about her?” The redhead prompted her love’s memory as she snuggled onto the couch behind the blonde and began to gently rub her lower back.

“Oh, Irene?”
“Yeah.”
“Okay, you didn’t mention her surname before. Mmm, that feels good.”
“Good.” Willow placed a soft kiss on Tara’s cheek before continuing. “So anyway, we have an appointment for Friday at eleven thirty. Shall I put a reminder on the fridge? Or will we remember?”
“I’m sure we’ll remember sweetie. Besides, if you put a note up about it one of the gang will see and they’ll get all nosey.”
“Good point. Okay, so, we go make sure everything’s a-okay and get a scan picture of our little girl on Friday, and then on Saturday, everyone’s coming here for dinner. Oh, Dawn called, she and Kate are gonna be a bit late.”
“How come?”
“Not sure, she was being all weird and secretive about something.”
“Maybe we won’t be the only ones with some happy news.”
“Well, they can just wait until after Saturday to announce it, ‘cos Saturday is our special day and I won’t have anyone stealing the thunder from our baby girl.”
“You big goof, if Dawnie and Kate have happy news we can share our day with them.”

Willow pouted for a second before Tara’s teeth captured her protruding lip and the redhead could do nothing except groan her agreement to share their day if necessary.

“So, what else is on that list of yours?” Tara asked as she put down her tea and took the notebook out of Willow’s hand. “You wrote yourself reminders to kiss me? Hey, how come they’re only pencilled in? Are they not important enough to be all inky and colourful?” Now it was Tara’s turn to pout.
“Do you see how many times it’s written? If I used pen I’d run out of ink after a day.” Willow giggled softly, unwisely making light of the issue.
“And I’m not worth the price of a new pen? And why do you need reminders anyway? Is there like, a quota or something? No more than…” A small pause as Tara counted the pencilled notes. “…TWENTY? I only get twenty kisses a day?”

The blonde sprung away from Willow’s touch almost on the verge of tears. Willow instantly started to do anything she could to soothe Tara’s hurt feelings.

“No, Tara baby, you get more than twenty kisses, you get twenty thousand, no, twenty million kisses a day, in fact, no, you get more, many, many more than twenty million, ‘cos, twenty million? I mean come on, let’s face it, that’s nowhere near enough, I’d just go insane from withdrawals if I only kiss you twenty million times a day. See, they’re all pencil-y ‘cos, I can’t fit twenty million reminders on one page, so, when I kiss you, I erase one reminder and re-write it. See? Endless, infinite kiss reminders.”
“I don’t see why you need reminding anyway, I never forget to kiss you.” A single, shimmering tear slowly rolled down Tara’s soft, delicate cheek.
“Hey, baby no tears, please.” Willow gently brushed the tear away, cupping Tara’s face softly in her hands. “I don’t really need reminding, I just like writing it, it makes me all happy to think about getting to kiss you, and it makes my lists complete. Just like how the actual kisses make my day complete and how actually having you to kiss makes my life complete.” Willow calmed her sweetheart with soft sincerity.
“Really?” The blonde’s voice was small and uncertain, like a child needing reassurance.
“Of course sweetheart, how could I ever forget to kiss you? I just need to hear your name and I crave your kisses, I’m constantly craving your kisses, even while we’re kissing I’m craving more. I need your kisses more than I need oxygen and you know oxygen, it has a way of becoming an issue.”
“Willow.”
“Yes baby?”
“Shut up and kiss me.”

Before Tara’s request had even registered in Willow’s mind the redhead found herself pressed beneath her lover’s body, effectively being thoroughly ravished by the blonde.

“Bedroom?” Willow enquired breathlessly between kisses.
“Too far away. Here’s good.”

Tara’s enthusiastic tongue returned voraciously to the soft, familiar warmth of Willow’s waiting mouth.

Clothes were quickly and eagerly shed.
Kisses, soft and teasing, hard and thorough, were rained generously over sweat glistened skin.
Expertly skilled fingers raised paths of goose bumps between voluptuous breasts, over smooth stomachs, up and down sensitive spines, along quivering thighs.
Hot, hungry tongues delighted in the temptation of taut, dark nipples then quenched their thirst in sumptuous, abounding springs of sweet, hot, creamy essence.

Only after several hours of dedicated worship and countless, seemingly endless climaxes did the couple finally regain the ability to form semi-coherent speech.

“Wow.”
“Yeah.”
“That was…”
“Yeah.”
“You were…”
“You too.”
“Wow.”
“Exactly.”

At this point, the lovers decided to abandon trying to talk in favour of contentedly silent snuggles accompanied by an occasional slow, tender kiss.

“I was kinda, all mood swing-y earlier wasn’t I?” Tara spoke quietly as she lazily stroked her hand up and down Willow’s side.
“Maybe a little; but in a very sweet and endearing way.”
“I didn’t mean to be all snippy.”
“I know baby, it’s okay. I can deal with mood swings, and morning sickness and ache-y backs and swollen ankles and anything else that this pregnancy might throw our way.”
“Even my endlessly insatiable sex drive?”
“Especially that, I can deal with that for every moment for the rest of forever. I love you Tara.”
“I love you my sweet Willow.”

The two women stayed safely and lovingly wrapped in each other’s warm embrace, every item on Willow’s ‘To Do’ list completely forgotten, except, of course, for the parts that said ‘kiss Tara’.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Awww, how cute was Tara all mood swing-y? :x
I hope you enjoyed it.

Time for sleepies now :sleepy

Another fun update, hun. Really nice to see Willow and Tara spending time together. And OMG Tara and her hormonal mood swings -- SO cute! Even cuter is Willow trying to climb her way out of the hold she dug for herself. LOL

So much fun, Jeanne. Can't wait for more.

Yay! A happy update! :applause (VERY happy, might I add...)
Just one question:
“Wow.”
“Yeah.”
“That was…”
“Yeah.”
“You were…”
“You too.”
“Wow.”
“Exactly.”

In that sequence, who did you imagine speaking first? Because I can kinda imagine it both ways. At first, I was like, "Willow spoke first," but then I thought, "or was it Tara?" Anyway, it doesn't really matter at all, I was just curious. I guess the point was that it was Damg Good! :-D

P.S. Willow writing in "kiss Tara" into her to-do list is so typical of Willow, I love it.

P.P.S. I am aware that the first P.S. is not actually a P.S. I just like writing "P.S." too much...

Great update! :bounce

Before feedback for Jeanne, please allow me to address the Insane Twins, ie Irene and Car -- you two are CRAZY, you know C.R.A.Z.Y. :P (Can I join? can we be the Insane Triplets? please, pretty please?)

Sorry Jeanne. Just a little stupidity.

Poor Tara, thinking Willow needs to be reminded to kiss her, taking Will's notes the wrong way. Luckily Will was able to convince her.

“Bedroom?” Willow enquired breathlessly between kisses.
“Too far away. Here’s good.”

I did some research on pregnancy and sex for one of my fics and
endlessly insatiable sex drive

is actually true, some pregnant women experience a big hike in sex drive cos of all the hormones. Did you know in some cases of extended labor, doctors prescribe sex to try to push the process along? I'm not kidding :lol.

Everything's going so well, I just know the Scoobs will be happy with the news. I wonder what Dawn and Kate's news is ... :hmm

As always, great update :clap .

Hello kitties :wave

Okay, as promised, I'm here with individual replies for everyone who left feedback to part 31 - thank you :flower.

Emms: Yep, Tara was a bad ass :) Even though, as you noted, it was Willow who was all ranty in the hallway, after being completely blanked, it just had to be Tara who let Mr Cosgrove have it.
Aww, you had a whole 3 paragraphs of rant typed out? That's sweet & also, very touching that something I wrote prompted such a reaction - so even though you didn't post the full rant - thank you. :flower
Don't worry about the twins, their Tada will make sure they don't have any more problems with the bullies.

Irene:
Take for instance 'casabetti'..."No baby boy, it SPAGHETTI"..."Spamaghetti?"..."No Brian, look at mommies lips-S-P-A-G-H-E-T-T-I"..."Ohh, Casamabetti"..."Yes sweetie, casamabetti".
Sweetie, your son sounds adorable :)
I'm glad you felt Tara's speech was dead on, I was a little anxious about it, but your praise made me feel better.
I agree, people have turned a blind eye to bullying & dismissed it as 'child's play' for far too long & things have gotten way out of hand now.
Your little story was so sad, but I have to ask - did you ever find out who the girl was?
HEY I HAD A COOL, HIPPY, HISTORY TEACHER MY SENIOR YEAR AT HIGH SCHOOL NAMED MR. COSGROVE
Wow, that is cool. I'm guessing your Mr Cosgrove was a lot nicer than the principal of Lydie & Jules school?
And lucky, lucky you meeting Amber
:D Yep, lucky me. I can honestly say that Amber is the nicest, sweetest, friendliest person you could ever hope to meet. :x

GayNow: Yep, take charge Tara is definitely a turn on :)
I will be bringing up this issue in future & we'll see how the principal dealt with the bullies. & I will also think about & deal with what Willow & Tara might teach the twins about dealing with homophobia (it'll be like a personal fic challenge, just for me :-D).

Naeryn: Yeah, they definitely made a quick dash home at the end there :eyebrow
Castrate Mr Cosgrove? That would be fun wouldn't it? :) & seeing as how you're offering Homosexual Rights Tara on top (would she be anywhere else?), feel free to castrate Mr Cosgrove with any blunt, rusty object you like :)
No, I wouldn't have justified myself for kissing Tara either, but I think, even as an adult, Willow still has a bit of the "very seldom naughty" part of her personality - especially around horrible, intimidating principals.
Lol, yeah, a visit from the whole scooby gang would put Mr C. in his place - it may happen, but Tara's speech has sorted the issue out for a while.
Don't worry, Lydie & Jules have plenty of nice friends their own age - it's just the bigger kids who are all mean.
the image of little Lydie lying in bed with the quilt all up around her ears hiding from the bullies... somewhere between 'adorable' and 'heartbreaking'
. That's exactly the image I was trying to convey.
Thank you for the feedback.

Watson:
it's been ages since I left feedback to this fic, and I do apologise
No apologies necessary. :)
Phew, I'm glad I did very okay :)
You'll see how the principal dealt with the issue in a couple of updates & there was no way Tara was just gonna sit there & be ignored. Someone should tell Mr Cosgrove that ignoring a powerful, pregnant witch is a really bad idea.
I don't think Lydie & Jules will have any more trouble with bullies, but if they do, Willow & Tara will be there to protect them, along with the rest of the scoobies.

stillrunning: Yeah, I think Tara's kiss in the hallway made Willow forget all of her rant, so it was Tara who had to defend their little girls - & she did a very good job of it too :)

watersong84: Assertive Tara is hot - it's an undeniable truth :) & she's lots of fun to write too.
A Tara kiss is always guaranteed to stop Willow's rants. & there's lots of people who'll look out for the twins if they have any more problems with bullies.

singgirl: Yep, a big grrr to homophobes :rage But a big Yay! to Tara :applause

Okay, that's all for now. I'll be back, once I've written the next update, until then, I hope you enjoy part 32. :)

Hugs
Jeanne
