A Woman In Uniform: Chapter 20"I said no, Willow! I won't let you do this!!"
"Excuse me?!? Did I actually just hear you say you won't
let me?? I already have a mother, sweetie...and you look nothing like her!"
Tara crossed her arms defiantly over her delectable bosom and glared at her lover, "
Will.." she nearly growled, clear warning in her voice.
"Don't you
Will me! Since when did you become the one who gets to decide what's right for me, what I can and cannot do?!?"
"Since when?!?
You want to know when??? Let me see now...maybe it was the first time that I looked at you and just your smile took my breath away...or could it be since the day I realized that being with you meant more to me than everything I'd been living my life for up to that moment...and that I'd give anything to stay with you, even if that meant my freedom...how about the instant I knew in my heart that you were the love of my life and that if I could have you there'd never be anyone else, in this lifetime or any other..." Tara roared, a bit more loudly than she'd intended.

Oh..." Willow hung her head guiltily, speaking just above a whisper, "I love you too baby...
so much...but I just don't see any other way..."
"This isn't your fight. Will..."
"That's funny, you know...because every time I saw one of those girls being zipped into a body bag...every time I got a call that there'd been another murder...I thought that was exactly what it was. Your history notwithstanding, this has been my case from day one...so don't you go trying to get all butch with me!"
"You know what I mean..."
"Listen Tara...
just because I'm not some kind of mystic warrior..." she watched as the blonde turned her back, anger pouring off her in waves, "I'm a good fucking cop, damn it! And this is
my town! I've seen too many dead women lately...I've had enough...I don't want to see anymore!"
"And you think I haven't?!? I've seen more than you could ever dream of, even in your worst nightmares...and the first one I saw was someone I loved with all my heart!

The redhead crossed contritely to her lover, enfolding her gently in her arms, "That's not going to happen, baby," she soothed, stroking the blonde's hair.
"How can you say that?!? You think you know what you're dealing with, but you have no idea! I won't put you in danger..." she sniffled.
"Already there, babe...we both are...just so long as she's the one calling the shots...anyway, who are you to lecture me on reckless behavior Miss I've-spent-the-last-five-years-stalking-an-evil-soul-sucking-demon?"
"Oh, sure...bring my past into it," Tara teased.
Willow kissed her lover sweetly, pulling back just a little to meet red-rimmed eyes as blue as the midnight sky.
"No offense to you, my love...but your way hasn't exactly been working too great so far, has it? I'm not a wait and watch kind of girl...I say we stop this bitch
now...we need to take the fight to her, not sit around with our thumbs up our butts until she decides she's getting hungry again...we need to set a trap...and since she seems to have developed a craving for redheads of late...well, that kinda makes me the ultimate bait. now doesn't it...you know I'm right, baby...come on, admit it."
"I'll admit it...but that doesn't mean I have to like it...I

"No, my love...you won't...I promise."
"How can you be so sure?"
"Because, for one thing I've got you by my side...the worlds leading expert on "Heather"...you know her habits like your own...tons of inside info there...huge advantage...and two, I've got a brilliant plan..."
"Your humility, that's what I love most about you," Tara snarked, with a signature crooked smile.
Willow took a quick nip at those irresistible lips, before continuing her train of thought, "And the all important number three...
I have a secret weapon."
"A secret weapon, huh?" Tara squeezed her lover's firm behind in punctuation.
"
Uh-huh..." the redhead mumbled into a pale neck.
"I don't suppose you'd care to explain this all-powerful secret weapon?"
"After..."
"After what?"
"We just had our first fight...we need to have some of that spectacular make-up sex you hear so much about."
"Really...do we now?" Tara purred.
"Definitely...it's even in the handbook," she explained, as she slowly unbuttoned her baby's blouse.
"Hmmm...I see..." the blonde got to work divesting Willow of her jeans, "Do you think you might give me a quick overview of this incredible plan of yours, while we do away with the rest of this pesky clothing?"
"For one thing, it involves coming out to Buffy," the redhead replied distractedly, as she watched her lover's skirt pool around her ankles.
"Uh, sweetie...I think the horse is already out of the barn and half way to the fair on that one...the only way Buffy doesn't know about us is if she's blind, stupid and might I add, stone deaf...
my vocal little vixen," she whispered hoarsely, dragging her fingernails up the backs of Willow's now bare thighs.
"
Mmmmmm...not really what I meant, lover."
What Tara did next left her trembling, short of breath and more than a little weak in the knees, "
Oooooohh...anyway...I think we should...

oh fuck yes...later...
oh yeeaahh..."

Uh-huh..." Tara purred, as she lowered her beloved onto the bed, "
