What is she saying and doing? Any chance we can get this panel scanned? It is a historic moment, after all.

I will scan it in tonight...
She has one panel, and says ...
(I have it here at work)

"For some , it could be that the pull of hellmouth is simply stronger that their fear. Others ...I just don't understand"

OK, not very lyrical.. But small things excite me

No one even says Tara, but she's sitting next to Willow, she isn't Anya or Buffy or anyone else..
But next week, Lovers Walk is out!

where can you buy these comics? Do they sell them at most comic books stores, or do you have to order them? Just wondering, I'm sorta new to this whole comic business. if anyone can help me out, i'd really appreciate it.

are you sure about that being tara? i looked through issue 29 and found nothing tara wise, though you tell it was being set up for her first appearance in the next issue with all the talk between willow and buffy about possibly moving on and meeting someone new. i could have sworn there was no tara, i'll have to go back to B&N and see again. that is my mission for tomorrow.

Willow - It's been pointed out to me that that's, you
know, insane. Tara - I said "quirky".

I've forgotten already - is Lover's Walk the one that was written by Amber or is that another one (wait, she's written 2 hasn't she)? I'm looking forward to whichever ones she wrote because I feel like she'll have an excellent grasp of the characters. At least I hope she will. The line of dialogue you've quoted from Tara in #29, Dr Lloyd, reminds me of why I didn't buy the couple of Buffy comics I looked through at the store: the characters just dont talk like they do on the show that much. That line doesn't entirely sound to me like something Tara would say, or at least she wouldn't say it with that language.

Thanks for the heads up on the Tara appearance, though, Dr Lloyd. After over a year of her being on the show, it's about time they gave the red-headed step-child of the cast a spot in the comic book.

Well it seems they are finally leaving season 3 and heading into season 4. Was Willow with Tara in a crowd?

Darin, Lovers Walk is just the Valentine's issue with 3 couples. Not the one written by Amber. That one comes in April. Darin, yes I am really wondering how well she'll handle that characterization.

I should think brilliantly, considering how much she's been involved in Tara's development. Now if only she could write some fanfic...

If you look carefully at the background when Buffy returns to the dorm room, there's a note from Willow that says she's at Tara's that night, as well. I don't remember on what page (though I do remember seeing the one unidentifiable Scooby at the Bronze and thinking "Is that supposed to be Tara? I could draw a more convincing Tara with my *right* hand..." )

Yup, checked it out at the comic store on my way home from class...

That's gotta be Tara; Buffy, Riley, Xander, Anya, Willow, and what's-supposed-to-be-Tara are all around one table at the Expresso Pump (only one panel has Tara). The hair's what throws you off - they were going for 'mousy blonde' and got 'washed out brown' - but it's gotta be her.

Later on, as Dennis noted above, there's a note - it's on the bedstand as Buffy and Riley talk, and she packs to go to LA. (This is right around the time of the canon crossover, too, which is kinda odd.)
It reads:

B,

I'm at TARA'S tonight.

-'W'

Off 'doing spells' again, I suppose.

Nothing other than that; most of it concerns the LA/Angel storyline.

Yes at the time of the LA crossover Buffy knew about Tara and was obviously oblivious to why Willow spent so much time there. Remember she comes back from LA and seems sad that Willow isn't home. DUH! Willow was having a good time. Shit, I have to go to a comic book store now. They still haven't sent it to me.

Dennis, I am sure you could draw a better Tara, how about doing it again

YEs you are right my brain was fried this afternoon, so by the time of this comic people knew of the relationship. Certainly Buffy did.

Ah, thanks Dr.lloyd! man now i can wait. It's great! fantastic! That means she'll be in the comics from now on, well not always but you know what I mean. The whole comic has this noir look and that doesn't help. They got the hair all wrong and put on a type of shirt she has yet to wear. But it's her. Def. Tara. Thanks agaiN!

Hmm, edited to add that the only Taraish thing in this is that she loves looking at Willow

I was over at the Dark Horse site and noticed that they have an issue devoted solely to Giles. I was wondering if anyone had heard anything about it.
