Ok, to redeem: seeing Amber was fantastic!!! I got my picture taken with her. Sadly not much time was spent with the stars, but, hey, my first time meeting her!

Hey there Rachel. I am glad I made it out of there. I took the scenic route via Albany Airport to get back to NY. I can now start worrying about flying back to the Netherlands. The fun just will not stop. I loved meeting all the Kittens. They and the loooong quality time I spent with Amber were well worth having to endure my pathological fear of flying.

Oh dear, I need to watch myself as well, venting just comes so naturally to me. Btw, I want you all to know that eventhough I am Amber's newest best friend now, I will remain my modest benevolent self as always. She talked to me and was nice, what more proof do I need.

I'm glad you got to meet Amber and other Kittens, Garfield, but while we're waiting patiently for other reports, could you please tell us more happy fun info? Like what Kittens you met, how you spent quality time with the lovely Ms. Benson and became her newest best friend, was there a doctor in the house (sorry, bad joke) to take care of the food poisoning, etc.

Just kind of reposting what I was saying in teh other thread. Although I was not there, I got full reports every night from my girlfriend about everything, here and her mom had a complete blast despite the well many fluffs that ive heard through them already about the hotel. When I get to talk to Lena in person she promised me a complete run down from friday to sunday about everything word for word so I cant wait



All my girlfriend could say last night on the phone is "oh my gosh I love amber, shes so cute and cool" over and over again. It was cracking me up, but still. Her mom made gifts for each of the cast members there, it is hysterical her mom is a bigger buffy fan then both of us combined, when i was there a lot when my gf was sick we watched buffy for hours every night.



Anyways, when they finally got to meet amber my girlfriend told her everything that i asked her to say for me the night before basically she was like "my girlfriend nikki told me i had to say hi and that she loves your work and the only reason she started watching buffy again was the scene of willow and tara on teh roof stargazing" and amber said that it was so sweet of her to say that for me, and she asked if she had a picture of me, so lena took out teh senior picture of me she had in her wallet and amber signed the back with "hi nikki, love amber benson" which totally rocked, because she was only supposed to give 1 autograph and my girlfriend got to get two lol. Then amber asked Lena's mom (who was hanging wtih ambers mom talking to her) if she approved of me and lena, and her mom (who is amazingly cool) was like "of course we all love nikki, she took care of lena when she had her appendix out and she looks like harry pottter" (or soemthign to that effect...btw i did have harry potter hair a few months back cuz it grew out and so lena put a lightning bolt on my forehead and i ran around ehr hosue with a brumestick) That made amber laugh a lot.



Later lena got to get a picture of the two moms, whcih is so cute. And when she was outside having a cigarette she lit Dianes cigarette and talked to her for like 15 minutes.



They had an absolute blast, saw a lot of the stars and talked to them when they saw them wandering around. Lenas mom got a free amber picture from a vender for lena.



I guess lena met a few of you while she was there? All I can remember is that I am supposed to say "hi" to Annie and her girlfriend so "hi" lol.

A hearty thank you goes our from myself and my friend who both attended drlloyd's two very very fun Buffy roleplaying sessions(This is Craig, the awful Buffy on Friday and the servicable Spike on Saturday). It was really a nonguest highlight for myself and my friend. By the way, your son is adorable!



Amber is the sweetest person alive! My heart was racing 100 miles an hour for my photo session with her and she noticed and gave mea big hug. James is possibly the most intelligent actor with regards to the industry as a whole that I have ever listened to. He awed me time and time again with his thoughts and views on the acting and theater industry. They are both so humble and down to earth as well. Tony Head is just hilarious. Amber was also kind enough to give my friend a way of sending some of her writing to her so Amber can look it over. It meant a ton to my friend for Amber to take that time as she has dreamed of being a writer since she was in the womb.

DAMMIT DAMIT DAMMIT... I had this whole post ready and *POOF* all gone..hell, I'll do it again later...



Well, I will say that our stay wasn't as expected by many so I'll just mention the good stuff....



AMBER ROCKS, ASH ROCKS , JAMES MARSTERS ROCKS, and hey..even James Leary did his part with a late night showing of his short film on movie night (THAT was freakin hilarious!!)



Amber is the SWEETEST, GOOFYEST, oh hell, she's all that good stuff all wrapped in one. heh....she seemed SO tired, though. By photoshoots (sunday morning...she had arrived late cuz, well...yes there was a deer accident...she wasn't driving, though..her mom was *doh* the deer was caught in headlights, so to speak. the deer didn't make it) Amber looked out of it. When Lex and I arrived she opened her arms, "Oh, two beautiful women for the price of one!" I nearly jizzed... lex mentioned how tired she seemed and Amber said it was ok, the Nyquil knocked her out. we told her she deserves rest. She really needed it.

The mods room....heh....much fun had!...and plenty of bottles accumilating..*looks around* what?? We drink alot of liquids...water is great for the body...

hi annie. Yes i hear a lot about you from your 'smoking buddy' its cool that you got to meet lynn, she is the coolest person i have ever met (besides lena of course) I love her mom as if she were my own mom (actually i love her mom than my real mom) and I love how shes more obsessed with buffy then anyone I have ever met. Anyways, Happy that you had a good time besides the photos...



Atleast I now *like* my one senior picture of me by the fence (hated it before cuz it looked too much like "me" thats why everyone else liked it, i liked the pictures tht didnt look like me) I love it jsut because ambers name is on it! hehe.

everyone's reports are probably going to be pretty much the same as what i have to say, but i'll post it anyway......

we got in on thursday (i dragged my old roomie with me, the trooper that she is) and checked into the hotel and whatnot after getting lost on the way.....i'll be sure to tell my hotel stories in the venting thread.....i'm a little bitter.

anyway, we pretty much did nothing on thursday night, aside from sitting in the bar, then on friday i got up semi-early so i could be all bright eyed and bushy tailed for amber's photo shoot, but, you know, those deer.....pesky little things. i headed over to the common rotation concert that night,

and they are all so adorable....i almost didn't go (that whole warren thing--stupid, i know) but i'm really glad i did. i ended up buying a cd, 2 buttons and a t-shirt. after the concert they were there signing autographs, and they were all really sweet and grateful to everyone who had bought their album that night. amber showed up to the concert too, and i just about did a back flip when i realized she was over on the other side of the room.

all the Q&A's on saturday were pretty good. amber's was great--she is so adorable....she was quite dismayed to learn about the miss kitty/dawn/cross bow incident, as was i, cause i had no clue either!! it was very sad. she talked a bit about the whole not coming back for season 7 stuff, and about her favorite episodes and whatnot......most of the usual questions all seemed to pop up.

she was very sweet to each and every person in the autograph lines. i think she was the only actor who was personalizing for everyone there. i don't even know what i said to her, beyond the *hi* part. i'm impressed i got that far. james marsters is a great guy, as were ash and james leary. every actor really made you feel at ease, which was so great.

i did the whole picture with amber thing too, and i don't think i was as much of a babbling idiot the second time i met her, which is always good. i asked how she was and she said that she was much better than yesterday because she had knocked herself out with nightquil and gotten some decent sleep. so, that was pretty much it, i thanked her and went on my merry way.

i watched amber's second Q&A later on, and she talked a bit about chance and said that they had a couple people that they were talking to, but that she thought that they were just going to end up distributing it themselves, that way all the people that wanted to see it would be able to.

and speaking of chance.....it was AMAZING. i can't wait to see what she comes up with next. she is just incredibly talented. i really enjoyed ghosts of albion, even though i don't usual go for anything like it, and james leary's movie was hilarious.....oh my goodness. it was fabulous.

i only met a few kittens there--shyness rears its ugly head, but to the few i did meet, have a safe trip back home.....

all in all, it was pretty great weekend.....i met amber and xita!! what more could you possibly ask for? i mean, really......

james and amber did a quick Q&A after the screening, and james basically said (and i whole-heartedly agree) this is only the beginning of amber benson.....just wait and see what happens next.....

he's so right. chance is really an amazing film for anyone, but especially for a first endeavor into making one. not mention that whole, writing, directing, producing and starring in it thing.....she's pretty amazing.

the Q&A's did get taped, but i think it's up to the powers that be over at MR as to what will be done with them.....

HIP, I think Xita may have something on the first Q&A..we'll see when she gets back home. The whole Miss Kitty thing...someone asked about it, everyone else including Amber went "HUH?" and then got all disappointed to hear that's what happened, or rather, what people have been saying or hearing..but umm, don't think so...I really can't remember everything thay she said about it...my heart was pounding while standing on the Q&A line...

Chance was great! JM and AB did very well...James in a dress, all I gots to say! LOL, she said they were trying to get a distributor but may end up distributing it themselves..I say good move. Ghosts of Albion was also very good. At first you think the the editing was a little off but considering it was made via Flash (I hear it's difficult to produce animated stuff, I may be wrong) it was done VERY well....James Leary and his film...again, hilarious! it's based on two guys in the porn industry...they flipped the coin by making these two characters into the sweetest most considering, premature ejaculating guys (which Leary stars in as one of the guys) on earth...it was really funny! Stars as Ron Jeremy and others wre in this film as well...there was no nudity, btw...

James L. said they might set it up on a site and get people to watch. it's about 15 minutes long and named Stunt C*cks... you can figure out what kind of characters they played in the porn industry... lol

HIP, my sister asked Amber if she was going to Philly, but she said she wasn't going to be able to make it. From my post in the other thread, you were correct about it being Chris Golden's sister.



I forgot to also mention to Web Warlock that I did get a look at "The Magic Box" book at the Eden display in the Dealer's room. It looked really cool, Tim. If I knew anything about RPG's, I probably would have bought it.

OH man, I had an absolute blast and it's all thanks to the people I met and of course Amber Benson. Amber Benson is amazing as always and I thoroughly enjoyed the Q&As. Chance and Ghosts of Albion were worth going up there for. Kittens I love you all. I am sorry I didn't meet everyone Those I did meet and especially those who made it to 619, you made it a blast and made me not regret that I did not sleep all weekend long.



The internet is a great big freaky place, but it's such a pleasure when you finally get to meet people that you've known online for a long time , it's so great when things work out and you get along so well. Really I love you all and I hope we can have a kitten gathering again next year and I get to see you guys again



I'll talk about the season 7 stuff elswhere :P



What I loved was Amber talking about the w/t stuff. Talking about how Aly and her would talk together about stuff, like before their kisses, how Aly talked to her about closing out all the people in the set and just being in the moment and it just being the 2 of them.. sigh . Also in Tabula Rasa how they decided to approach their scenes after just having "met." Very cool!

another good thing that happened...other than mentioning my grrarrg image (it was a last minute thought I'd figure she'd get a good laugh out of)...funkyasian got on the autograph line and grabbed my gf's laptop..we were trying to convince her to show Amber the artwork she'd done using past Amber photoshoots...Well, Amber got to see them AND requested to send them over...YAY!! accordign to funkyasian, she seemed REALLY impressed..heh..we got the addie from Amber...

Well I only have an hour left before I need to haul my fat arse over to JFK airport. I have accidently taped the WT related parts of Amber's Q&A and the entire second Q&A (except for the last few minutes when my tape ran out, and what a loss that was). If the quality is decent, if my plane does not decide to land in the Atlantic Ocean and if I figure out how to get it on my computer, I'll upload some of it. That will take a few days at least.



There is nothing I can say about Amber that hasn't been said before. She really is the nicest person I have ever met. Fortunately for me, I am not that nice so I get to bitch about certain things. Anyway, she gave of us some great quotes. I loved what she said about how she and Aly worked together, about WT, about everything really.



I had spent the week leading up to that con with Jill (jsr) and that was just wonderul. I finally got to meet Xita, that bitch, Bytrsuite, that other bitch, Willowlicious, Kate, lurker Kay, TK Heaven and her gf (for those who have not seen them, I would recommend checking out the photo thread on the Kitten, or just ask Amber what she thinks), funkyasian, Adrienne (SciFiAcid), Katydid, Tara22, Spuckie (& Puff of course, but I had already met you ), SheilaWT, Urn of Osiris and her crazy and very funny sister in law. I am forgetting a few kittens, I'm sorry, but damn there were so many there. Thanks to everyone of you for making this the best vacation I could have wished for.



I also want to say thanks again to KJ Chicago, I am sorry I didn't get to say goodbye properly, but thanks ever so much for asking me to have a pic taken with you and Amber. That confused the poor photographer and the organizers so much it took them minutes to figure out what to do, and all the time we got to sit in Amber's personal space. Bad us.

awesome clip...now...where was i for this?! oh wait...i was sleeping...riiight...damn! see the stuff you miss when you nap? okay...let's go with the good stuff of this con...hmmm...well, they were few and far between...let's see...



okay, i'll be honest...i wasn't the biggest amber fan. i had gone to MR for two reasons...two friends invited me and i figured on a nice extened weekend vaca...and i promised a friend i'd get her the amber autograph. but after this weekend, i can understand why everyone is so in love with this girl...amber is completely candid, funny, goofy, and good natured. we could all see she was absolutely exhausted, but no matter what, she always had a huge smile for every one of her fans. she took everyone's questions and wouldn't hesistate to stop and talk to you if she just happened to walk by you. ASH was just funny...thankfully he didn't take offense by me stepping all over his foot (literally) - but it was all innocent...i came into bright light from complete darkness and he happened to be sitting right at the end of the very narrow hall...so...oops...and well, JM is funny...him, in a dress in chance is just classic. make up and all...



that's another thing...movies...ghost of albion i was astounded at...having worked with flash and knowing how difficult and time consuming it is, i'm in awe of the production. chance was every bit as good as the rave reviews everyone gave it...it was funny and made light of some fairly serious topics. honestly, if you're too serious about life...it gets boring. and last but not least, stunt c*cks - god that short film was hilarious...no nudity but just absolutely roll on floor, laugh out loud funny. hopefully they'll have it on their site, or out on dvd soon...that's definitely worth the buy.



then there's the company i kept...between my roommates alexis and katy and the rest of the kittens that i had the priviledge to meet, i was glad to be there despite of all the wrong things that happened because of the damned resort from hell. of course there was plenty of liquid refreshments...hmmm...anyway...haning out in front of the mods' room, spying on the going-on's of across the court yard...all fond memories...the friar tuck...not so much...



anything else good happened? nah...i mean...did you read the other thread?!

My question to her was if she had the opportunity to do another photoshoot as she did with Stuff Magazine, would she do it? If so, would she make any other comments to the candle she joked about in the video, ya know...'one, two, three candles'...(my heart was pounding through my chest so I ended up mumbling the 'candle' question, don't think she heard me...).. She answered that honestly she wasn't all that comfortable with it, so no..don't think she'd do another...although there was much being said about how frumpy and big Tara was and how she wanted to show the sexier side of her (she got all goofy when saying this) she was joking about it though..how she didn't realize what kind of mag. it was til she was with a friend and it was pointed out..something along the lines of: friend--hey, isn't that the magazine you're gonna be doing? Amber--yeah that's the..uhhh (realization hitting her as she really takes a good look at the cover)..ohhh... LMAO...she was also joking about how her boobs looked in the photoshoot and how big they appeared...she was gestering to her 'boobs that weren't there' and how she swore that top had straps, but it was airbrushed out, and how funny it was autographing those pics...she finally said there was an artist who made Tara look like she had these huge boobs...I said she sould see the Willow print..they were *me gestering* out there..lol..she's like.."REALLY?" and started cracking up (once I can get this pic I'll post it)...can't get tired of saying how utterly adorable and sweet this woman is...
