Those of you in LA may want to check this out. It seems like it implies Amber is going to be acting in one of these plays:

Oh you lucky LA kitties to see Amber perform on stage I would so love to see, but of course I live in NJ! I too was wondering which play she will perform in, but I hope whoever goes has fun, and tells us all the exciting details!

So who's going and when?

"Algor Mortis" is described as follows:

Quote:

Sounds interesting, no?

Amber!!

Postby TwiLightJoy » Thu Jun 06, 2002 9:09 pm

It's too bad I don't have a work schedule yet, because now I have NO IDEA when my gf and I can go, or even if we can. We just started at our jobs as WalMart slaves, and we don't know when we have to go in until just before we leave our shifts in the evening. ;_;

all you wanted to know about the play . . .

you can find the script here

www.geocities.com/jeremygable/algor.htm

its a 'two hander' involving "Ben, 28, a disheartened newspaper sports correspondent and Angela, 16, a beautiful high school cross-country runner".

and the title? "Algor mortis refers to change in body temperature after the heart stops pumping and cellular oxidation, which keeps our body temperatures at 98.6 F, stops; the body temperature falls to room temperature (about 70 F) at about 1.5 F per hour" (I copied that from somewhere, of course)

(edited to add: look, flaming O! At this rate I will be gay now by early 2004)

if you go...anyone.....when you give her the standing ovation she deserves....don't shout "you're alive"...shout "YOUR SHIRT"...it's time this was reclaimed from Joss...as not an inane line...but as a line that Kittens will forever remember as Tara...concerned for her lover...even in her last breath.

I was able to invent an excuse to drive to Hollywood today so I bought tickets for Saturday night. If any other kittens are going then and would like to meet up, send me an email. :)

There's a coffee house right next door to the theater with indoor and outdoor seating. Also street parking is pretty limited but there is a parking lot for the theater. The entrance to the parking lot is on Hudson, just north of Santa Monica Blvd and parking is $5.00. I've never been to this theater before, but it looks very very small, which should be pretty cool. There are actually two different theaters in the same building, both with "Hudson" in the name, so make sure you go to the one with the box office entrance on Santa Monica, not Hudson.

And thanks to Autumn for picking up on this. I checked the LA Times and the LA Weekly and didn't find any mention of it, so if not for Autumn's heads up, it's entirely possible that I would have spent my Saturday night at the laundromat instead of seeing AB on stage. :)
