Dopplewhatchathingy..."Hands...Hands!"

OMWF Giles "I'm about a hare's breath away from investigating rabbits."

Definitely the "5" interaction of the shrugs, along with Willow's stuttering with "re..reg...registered?"

Anya's interaction with Giles in (sorry, not good with the ep titles) I think Tabula Rosa where she's standing on the chair yelling at Giles about his English slang. "Bugger...sodding...etc What the hell is that about? I never know what you're talking about."

Xander "I am the bug man kookookachoo." "His disassembled state. That's when he's broken down into his little bitty buggy parts."

Cordelia "You know, one of these days you're going to wake up in a coma."

Buffybot "That'll put marzapan in your pie plate bingo!"

Geez, I'll stop now. Sorry. There are just so many phenomenal lines in 6 seasons!

I love the following from Pangs

Giles: Well, that's good, but this is why I think we should all keep a level head in this.

Willow: And I happen to think mine is the level head, and yours is the one things would roll off of.

I love every moment Willow and Tara are together. I always like the way Willow in Triangle my fav ep- 'hello gay now' it just gets me!

GILES: Perhaps we should try another book.

ANYA: (O.S.) No!

Anya's standing on a chair holding the book bunnies are everywhere.

ANYA: This book made the little fluffers, and this book's gonna send 'em back. I've got it this time, okay. (reads) 'Himble abri, abri voyon.'

Another bunny appears by Giles's feet.

GILES: Yes, dear.

then later

GILES: Clearly that is not a helpful book, *darling.*

The shop is even more full of bunnies, and also a green cloud that hovers in the air by the ceiling. Anya standing on the table with her head almost in the green cloud.

GILES: Come down, and we will go about fixing this in a sensible fashion!

ANYA: Sensible! You think it's sensible for me to go down into that pit of cotton-top hell, and let them hippity-hop all over my vulnerable flesh?

GILES: Fine, then just stay up there and keep making bunnies! That's a capital plan!

ANYA: What capital? I never know what you're talking about. Loo, shag, brolly, what the hell is all that?

GILES: What? There's no way that you could remember me saying any of those words.

ANYA: Oh, bugger off, you brolly.

and then this sisterly moment makes me giggle.

BUFFY: (outraged) Were you parking?! With a vamp?

DAWN: I-I didn't know he was dead!

JUSTIN: Living dead.

DAWN: Shut up!

BUFFY: How could you not know?

DAWN: I just met him!

BUFFY: Oh! Oh, so you were parking in the woods with a boy you just met.

JUSTIN: We've seen each other at parties.

BUFFY: Shut up. (to Dawn) I don't believe you!

Spike looks around with a frown.

DAWN: Oh, like you've never fallen for a vampire?

BUFFY: That was different.

DAWN: It always is when it's you.

I love all the moments that are mentioned! They made me laugh even when i was reading about it. One that i think isnt here that i find very funny is in Triangle (great ep!!) when Anya is driving and Willow is holding a book trying to find a spell to ship Olaf in another demention and then the page is blown away!! The look of Willow is so funny :) Love it

There are just so many lines...in Listening To Fear when they find the crashed Demon "whatever", and then they find the dead body and Anya says to Giles "Yeah, I'm sure the space lamb got him". Then the smell comes from the goo and Riley says "Don't touch that it might be toxic"! And Xander quips "Cause touching it was my first impulse, luckily I've moved onto my second which involves running and dry heaving". Excellent.

Also, in Bargaining, when Spike, Giles and Tara are chasing the vamp at the beginning and Tara says"...it was supposed to confuse him, but it just sorta made him peppy..Do you think he's taking prescription medication?". She also stands there waving her coat and rolling her eyes!

the buffy-retail scene(s) in life serial, especially buffy treading down giles' glasses and throwing this weird mummyhand-woman out of the shop.

Buffy: "uh,yeah, actually,i saw one downstairs. It's kinda hairy, though.Maybe it was a daddy hand."

this really cracked me up.

Hahaha you guys rock, I've come to this thread late (as usual :p ) it's so cool to remember all the funny bits that I'd forgotten about

Gotta agree with everyone who talked about Doppleganland a truly classic ep, I always loved the way Willow reacted when she got to the library, "I'm not a vampire" no-one else could have delivered that line as well as Aly, I also loved the expression on her face when she shot VW with the dart, the look of disgust and disbelief was hysterical!

The spell scene in The I in team when they're operating on Spike and their hair reacts to the static, the way Aly bobs her head and her hair moves, that always makes me laugh!

As for Tara, the look on her face in Triangle when Buffy starts sobbing, that always cracks me up and her Grr Arrgh at the airport in Bargaining when Giles leaves, so cute and funny! I loved her "I'm not so much for the timber" line too, great timing from Amber, I think though a lot fo the time rather than what she says, it's how she says it and the expression on her face, Amber is so wonderful at subtle acting, the smirk or the confused look, she has great timing

I could go on, there are so many great moments, shame there won't be any more :(

Two that always pop into my head as being very funny are from season 4 and season 5.

In Season 5, Intervention, when Buffy and Giles are out 'questing' in the desert, I love this exchange:

BUFFY: So, how's it start?

GILES: I, uh, jump out of the circle and then jump back in it, and then, um ... I shake my gourd.

BUFFY: I know this ritual! The ancient shamans were next called upon to do the hokey-pokey and turn themselves around.

GILES: Go quest. Giles finishes his twig circle and jumps in and out then shakes the gourd

BUFFY: And that's what it's all about.

:lol I just love the look on Buffy's face when she says that.

Also, season 4 ep Who Are You, after they all jump out of the armored truck towards the end. Where Giles is distracting the police from Buffy-in-Faith sneaking around to the church:

GILES: Damn it, man! We have to get inside! Our, uh, uh, families are-are in there! Our, uh, m-mothers and-and tiny, tiny babies!

:lol I just LOVE the tiny tiny babies line. :) Classic!

So many. Too many . . .

Just about everybody's mentioned Doppelgangland, and many Willow's "look at those" of her now dramatically more-prominent boobies in VW's outfit. I really love Giles' and Xander's compliance w/ Willow's request!

Of course, Xander and breasts is a category by itself: both of these are w/ Anya. The Prom: "When a guy's looking (at a woman's breasts), it just means his eyes are open." Graduation Day, Pt.1: "Yes, we men like sports. We like to eat of the beef, and we enjoy to look at the bosoms." And of course, in Hush, after Willow points to her chest (meaning that the Gentlemen want hearts), Xander "cups" himself and mouths "Boobs?"

Speaking (heh) of "Hush" there's Anya's one track mind: "All you (Xander) care about are lots of orgasms!" Of Giles' impending guest, Olivia: "An orgasm friend." And when speechless, making up w/ Xander by making an indecent proposal w/ her fingers! ;)

I adore Giles' dry British wit. Its absence has been glaring this year. He's so funny, all the time, that it's hard to list it all. Therefore, I'll confine myself to a sung Giles classic, from "Restless": in his dream, singing onstage at the Bronze, after Xander and Willow have already been attacked by the First Slayer. Rockin' out: "Xander, help Willow. And try not to bleed on my couch; I just had it steam-cleaned!" I can't even think of this w/o guffawing! :)

I think that it's interesting that Buffy has always been portrayed as an under-achiever: a good student (and test-taker) when she applies herself, error-prone when she doesn't. Willow: "Carpe diem." Buffy: "Fish of the day?" Willow and Tara, discussing "The Hunchback of Notre Dame." Buffy hasn't done the reading, but has "seen the movie." Willow: "The one w/ Charles Laughton?" Buffy: "Was he one of the singing gargoyles?" Love it!

Of course, sometimes it doesn't pay even if Buffy has done the reading. In "New Moon Rising" threatening the Initiative commander w/ a crossbow: "Take me to Oz, or I'll go all William Burroughs on you." Xander: "You'll bore him to death w/ free prose?"

The imimmitable Willow: from (I think) "Faith, Hope and Trick" to Buffy "Do that thing w/ your mouth that boys like." Buffy shoots Willow a look. "No, no! That other thing you do w/ your mouth! That half-smile you do!" In "Consequences", when Buffy comes to Willow after the accidental killing of the deputy-mayor. Willow starts out all indignant about being ignored by Buffy in favor of Faith: "I've let things fester." And she goes on to berate Buffy "just because I don't kill things." Buffy breaks down crying, and immediately Willow starts berating herself "I'm a bad friend. Bad!" It's a serious moment, yet at the same time, Willow is just so lovable. :)

That's the insecure Willow. The superior Willow can be funny, too. For example, telling off Faith: "So, you had a tough life. Well boo-hoo!" Or telling off Parker: "I've got your number, Id-Boy. I swear, men have not changed in two million years. [The "Beeranderthals" attack] I meant that rhetorically!" :)

Oh well, I know I'll think of many more later. BTVS, for 5 years anyway, guaranteed probably at least 3-4 crack-ups per episode. Here's hoping Season7, w/ a happily restored Willow&Tara, will return "back to the beginning" (ala Joss' words) to laugh-o-riffic times.

To me the best part of this was the shot back to Willow and Xander holding lighters aloft. It was just hilarious.

And I have to admit a moment in Seeing Red I find very funny. When Andrew tries to tell Buffy off all cool and calm then fires up the jetpack and hits the roof. Great gag.

Bargining Part 1

Willow expaining how she got the Buffy Bot off of the knock knock jokes. The Buffy Bot replies: "Ooh who's there?"

The others continue to talk and walk away leaving the Buffy Bot to say: "We want her to be exactly, she'll never be exactly, I know, the only really real Buffy is really Buffy and she's gone...Who?"

I crack up every single time I see that.

This one's a little obscure but I just crack every time I see it. And no one else in the room ever, ever does. Umm, okay this might not actually be that funny but I love it.:shy

OMWF - The gang run into the bronze to help Buffy stop the dancing demon guy whose name escapes me and Giles says, "Buffy needs back-up. Anya, Tara.". They rush into the fray...and become backing dancers.

So did not see that coming.

Also later in the dance sequence when Amber ever so gracefully bounces off the pillar.:lol Then she just loses it and starts laughing. On re-watching you can see SMG trying not to break out laughing too.

I like the bit from Triangle:

B: I killed something in a convent tonight.

X: In any other room a frightening declaration, here a welcome distraction.

B: And afterwards she let me try on her wimple.

Also, from Shadow, talking about Glory;

B: So, how did she get this bad mojo stuff

A: Giles sold it to her... - It's the way she says it in a half whisper with her hand partially covering her mouth.

Oh I love this scene, It is so funny!! I mean, Buffy and Xander of all are the ones who aren't into prose, but even they know more than the military guys of the Initiative. The first time I saw this I was cracking up, rolling on my couch. Buffy has to teach them and tell them that it means she's going to kill this guy.. Buffy!! ;) :lol

And what really lightens me up after a bad day is this scene in "Real Me" after Xander says "Buffy's not gonna be happy about this" (inviting of Harmony) and there's Buffy just cracking up constantly with laughter. And that's really infecting on a regular basis, can't let her do this by herself. Also love the Giles-shaking-his-gourd-scene, the body language and the look on his face are hilarious...

Let's not forget the teaser of "Hell's Bells"! It had me lying in a heap even when I had this scene just as an audio file!

In Beer Bad, when Buffy is all hungover.

Willow: And then group sex?

Buffy: Pffft... gutterface. No! Just lots and lots of beer

That gives me the giggles something awful.

Definatly all of Doppelgangland, the dance of the brave little toaster, and Tara's swimming. Right now my favorite silly is everyones reaction to Giles' stint as a acoustic rock god in WTWTA. Especially Tara's, the wide eyed look of bewiderment coupled with that head tilt is priceless.

Buffy is making goo goo eyes across the room at Capt Cardboard. Willow decides it's a good time to tell her about the purply stuff someone spilled on Buffy's peasant top, that was so not Willow.

Willow and Tara are just cracking up that Buffy is completely oblivious. Once Buffy starts to catch Tara, interjects, Xander was just talking about Anya.

I love that scene.
