It might not be a bad idea for everyone to drop a line to Amy at Zap2it or Wanda at E-Online and set the record straight...Amy never claimed to know what the reason was, just to say that she had heard various versions. Wanda on the other hand just spewed the ME line ie.,''they wouldn't pay her enough money..''..I think a little crow would be nice for Wanda as a pre-Christmas meal..

Also, the ratings at Buffy are going nowhere but down.. And come January when they are up against American Idol 2, expect a bigger drop..It mght not help, but I don't think it would hurt to send ME letters and cards saying simply something to the effect of ''I miss Amber /Tara and I won't watch until she comes back.'' Don't complain about this season, don't rant. Just keep it short and simple and to the point: No Tara--not watching/ Tara-watching......

Well this certainly was a great Christmas gift! To see that Amber totally gets it, cares and really does think about her fans is just amazing! Like everyone else I can't help but be amazed at the contrast: Every time Joss/ME open their mouths it gets worse and worse, my opinion of them just plummets; by the same token only in reverse, every time Amber speaks my opinion of her just continues to climb and soar! Amazing! It really does say a lot doesn't it?



And yes, I wish there was some way to really let Amber know how much we appreciate what she's done for us, what she's given up and how much we care. She is truly one in a billion. Thanks Amber!

I just saw Amber's transscript and God it just broke my heart. She looked so sad and devasted when she described Tara's death. I got the feeling that it really marked her. What really got me was Amber saying that she would give the characters a happy ending if it was up to her.

I finally got a chance to see the video of the Amber chat (thanks kpmuse for the link ), and I just love her facial expressions as she answers the questions, sigh . Although, it did pain me to see her answer the Tara death questions. It's obvious from just her facial expressions how much this hurt her to act out, and by extension how much she feels for her fans suffering (ie having to endure seeing Tara brutally shot like that on the show).



She is simply an amazing woman, a true role-model, and a beautiful person inside and out. I so and respect her!

I haven't seen the vid yet, but from reading the transcript, it's clear she came though for us again. As for the love she generates from here and many other places, I'm sure she knows.

Okay, I got out all my sound editing tools, switched some plugs around a couple of times and got the following clips of three important questions:



Clip #1 - Amber talks about the outrage surrounding Tara's death.



Clip #2 - Amber talks about why she's not returning to Buffy.



Clip #3 - Amber talks about how she would have written Tara out of the series.



Please don't put links up on your own websites, because I can't keep the clips up permanently. On the other hand, if you want to post links on posting boards or email them to certain columnists, that would probably be okay. I was just playing around with the Bond name generator and depending on how you write your name, i.e. all caps, all lower case, some caps and some lower case, it will give you different names (though, if you type your name exactly the same twice, it will give you the same name). It's sort of fun to see what names you can come up with......so have faith Dumbsaint....you can have a different name!
