vote for the girls

Anything about Willow & Tara, Alyson Hannigan and Amber Benson.

Not our girls, but those that support them

Postby WebWarlock » Mon Jan 27, 2003 2:22 pm

Chris Golden is up for what I think is his first RPG based award.

It would be nice to support him since he suportted us, Amber and Tara.

The Pen and Pencil RPG awards.

www.pen-paper.net/awards.php

Fill out what you like, but can I suggest these:

Best RPG-Related Short Fiction:

"The Waiting", Chris Golden, The Buffy the Vampire Slayer RPG Core Rulebook, Eden Studios.

Also, if I can, suggest this one.

Best RPG Adventure

"The Dark Druid", Timothy S. Brannan, Buffy RPG, Games Unlimited, July 2002.

This adventure featured Fionn MacCumhail, the foster son of Willow and Tara's previous lives, Bodhmal and Liath. Willow and Tara were central to this adventure.

You can leave the rest blank, but if you like please put "Buffy the Vampire Slayer RPG" in any place that seems good. Remember Eden has publically proclaimed their love for Willow and Tara many times in the past.

Thanks!

For your consideration: SFX magazine reader awards

Postby tyche » Fri Jan 31, 2003 11:01 am

SFX magazine are collecting votes again for their annual reader awards. Amber and Aly both did well last year, and it would send a hell of a message if Amber did really well in the 'best TV actress' category, and if Tara's death got voted the worst thing to happen in SF/Fantasy in 2002.

The categories are as listed below. You don't have to vote in every category, and you can vote by email, so long as you give your full name. The email address to send your votes to is

sfx@futurenet.co.uk

(Please include your full name with all email votes - please also note that they have specifically requested people not to block vote this year.)

You can also vote by post on the voting form which can be found in the current issue of SFX.

Oh, and they mentioned that you can vote for 'Firefly' in the TV category. ;)

(btw, is Amber's film 'Taboo' a horror film? Because if so, we could also vote for her in that category. And we can vote for the W/T comics too.)

Hey, I voted for W/T. I find it interesting how far ahead of them B/S is, something like 4,500 to 490. Oh well. Xena/Gabrielle are ahead too, but the highest, not by a huge margin is John Crichton/Aeryn Suyn (however her last name is spelled!). At least we are just ahead of B/A.

Then this is an extremly lame poll. I dont think Farscape had that many to start with.

Television Without Pity are having a poll on the new name for their Tara discussion topic. (Not even going to rant about one of the potential options. Not worth it.)

That rantable option is leading at the moment with 32%, so folks need to get voting for at least one of the others to prevent it from winning. :no

FHM 100 Sexiest poll

Postby tyche » Mon Mar 24, 2003 2:25 pm

Doesn't seem like a year since the last round of voting for this poll .. anyway, they are now taking votes for the 2003 poll:

www.fhm.com/100sexiest/

Aly has done well in this list in the past, so let's try and get Amber up there too.

Well, I just voted at FHM for Aly and Amber. I strongly agree with tyche to encourage all kittens to vote. :p

Also, while I was there I checked out Aly's pic from last year, she was #21, and the her quote. Very funny. :grin

According to FHM Alyson said:

Aly makes it into SFX's top 10 sexiest women

Postby tyche » Mon Apr 07, 2003 12:43 pm

I posted about the SFX magazine reader awards earlier in this thread - their new issue is out now, and they have done a special supplement with photos of the top 10 sexiest men and women in sci-fi, as voted for by their readers. (The results of the poll won't be announced in full till May, so we won't know where Aly came in the poll till then; usually SMG wins the female category, and David Boreanaz or James Marsters wins the male category.)

Anyway, here are the names of the women who feature in the list (not in order):

Aly

SMG

Eliza

Charisma

Claudia Black (Farscape)

Alyssa Milano (Charmed)

Liv Tyler (Lord of the Rings trilogy)

Jolene Blalock (Enterprise)

Jennifer Garner (Alias/Daredevil)

Kristin Kreuk (Smallville)

I couldn't believe all the episodes were Buffy and Enterprise. I wasn't impressed by any of them, but couldn't vote for Buffy so it had to be Enterprise.

Vote once more with feeling

Postby JJtheCool » Wed May 21, 2003 12:20 am

E!Online is doing their last Buffy poll here. One of the subjects is

Best Spinoff Idea

The choices are:

Willow and Tara Reunion Special

Joe Xander: The Adventures of a Construction Worker

Faith the Vampire Slayer

Anya the Bunny Slayer

Spike the Vampire Layer

After I voted it showed the results. So far 'Willow and Tara Reunion Special' had the lead with 52%. If you want the lead to be insurmountable drop by and vote. You have to be a member of E!Online to participate though.

Um WebWarlock I just voted and the results that I got are

Quote:

Willow and Tara Reunion Special 52 %

Joe Xander: The Adventures of a Construction Worker 05 %

Faith the Vampire Slayer 05 %

Anya the Bunny Slayer 17 %

Spike the Vampire Layer 17 %

I'm not sure how we got such different results.

But I'm very happy that W/T got 3 times the votes that Spike did :D

ETA I notice that there was no Dawn option, so I guess that decided that no one would vote for her.
