I got the following info from Alia16's link above, then clicking on the Comicon logo:

Comic-Con International's complete programming schedule for 2004 is finally here! While we're working out the final details up to the last minute, we have some exciting announcements contained in each day's rundowns. The articles for each day are the complete programming list with descriptions, as you'll see in our onsite Events Guide.

In addition to the largest gathering of comic book industry professionals at any convention, Comic-Con International also attracts an incredible roster of celebrity guests from movies, TV and animation. As you read the day-by day programs listing you'll notice previously-unannounced appearances by: Keanu Reeves (Constantine), Eliza Dushku (Tru Calling), Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean (MirrorMask), Jessica Biel and Ryan Reynolds (Blade: Trinity), cast and crew members from Farscape, director Robert Rodriguez, creator Frank Miller and cast members from Sin City, Jude Law for Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and Joss Whedon and cast members from Serenity. Plus, it’s Comic-Con International … you never know who might show up at the last minute!

Now's your chance to mark your calendar and plan your entire Comic-Con International programming experience!

--------------------------------------------------------

Too bad I can't go. I'd love to see Amber and ED, Jude Law, Jessica Biel. I'd take great pleasure in avoiding Mr. Scruffy and anything to do with him. :kdevil

Amber signs for Inkworks WOS

Postby Incarnadine » Wed Jul 14, 2004 11:14 am

Looks like Amber might get a case of writers cramp as not only is she signing for Inkworks in SD she has also been confirmed as one of the signers for the Inkwork "Women of Sunnydale" card set. There is a pretty good autographer list of 15 signers but sadly no Alyson.

Info here:

www.inkworkcards.com/prod...prod1.html

If you are lucky enough to be going to SD Inkworks might have them on display.

Kitten Gathering

Postby Rally » Wed Jul 14, 2004 7:19 pm

I am offering up my hotel room for a mini Kitten gathering, or we can alternately visit one of the many down town spots in San Diego.

If anyone is interested in meeting up, please email me at rally@rallyvincent.com or post in this thread.

Ultimately it will come to the number of folks visiting vs. the size of the hotel room vs. what night (Friday or Saturday most likely) it ends up landing on.

I am definately interested in meeting up.

One suggestion. If any kittens were going to be going to Hillcrest to enjoy the alternative San Diego, only one club is really great for lesbians on the weekend which is Friday nights at Numbers. Just a suggestion.

Postby Rally » Sun Jul 18, 2004 9:32 pm

Well, this is kinda interesting, if you go to the Con site at the moment, Amber's photo is on the front page. Very cool, though other than crediting her photo, she is not mentioned in any of the articles.

We were hoping maybe she would be doing a panel or something at the con, something official, non Inkworks related. No offense to Inkworks, but it would be nice to see her do some Q&A. At any rate, it's cool she is up on the site.

Have a look for fun.

*peeps out from lurking covers*

She's not in any comic-con articles because she's not a guest of comic-con international, she's a guest of inkworks.

I guess comic-con decided to put her on the main page because she's gone every year for the last 4 years now and I think has become a reason some people go to comic-con. (i know I went 2 years ago specifically to see her).

Re: badges

Postby Culzean » Mon Jul 19, 2004 9:24 am

Alia16 - you pick up your badges inside the convention center. There are usually a lot of convention employees outside. Ask them which line to get into. There will be one to pick up badges and one to buy tickets.

Warning - both will be long. On Saturday, they will be insanely long. The convention center parking lot will be full before 8am. The surrounding lots will be full shortly after.

If you're going to the con to see Amber, head straight over to the Inkworks booth. They'll post a schedule of all their guests and let you know when the line-up will start. They'll also give you some nice, free trading cards.

Con tip - if you don't like standing all the time, go to one of those outdoors-type stores like A16 Adventure or REI and buy a little, folding camping stool. They cost about $20 and you can keep them in your backpack when not in use. If you like to collect autographs, you may do a lot of standing.

Have fun!

Comic Con Thursday:

We made it one piece, but for the 3 hour lay over on I15 with the toxic waste spill.

Quick sound bites:

From Diane: They found a distributor for Chance, for North and South America. They are currently selling off their remaining copies.

Also from Diane: When Amber's sister was asked what her Mother does, she responded; "She sells my sister."

From Amber: Upon seeing my Dicks Last Resort shirt, she told how she dined their last year. We of course invited her to join us there this year.

Also from Amber: She is currently hooked on Starbucks, she likes "wet cappuchinos", she "feels like a perv ordering them."

That is it for today, check out the pics.

Alright....the board keeps eating my replies. grrrr

Nice pictures. Makes me kinda sad that I can't actually get to the con until Friday afternoon. I just didn't want to take a whole day leave without pay....so I have worked mondo overtime this week to be able to take a half day.

Katy,

It was a nice suprise to see Amber there today, we were not necessarily expecting to run into her today. We also met Camedon Toy who played one of the gentlemen in Hush. It was nice to be able to relax and spend a nice bit of time with Amber without all the crowds.

Amber is indeed scheduled for every day of the con. I believe she will be there most of the day after 1:30pm tomorrow. Inkworks also has Camedon signing and a couple other folks from Buffy.

awesome pics! thanks

great that you got to spend time and chat with amber and her mom (LMAO at the "sells my sister" comment)

did either of them happen to mention anything about this tv pilot bruhaha? I'm happy to write whomever on ambers behalf to show support for her getting a gig on WB - but it would be nice to hear the real story from either amber or her mom and know what they would like us to do - if anything - at this time.

We may broach that subject on Sunday, assuming today and Saturday will be crazy as we think they we will. We had not seen Amber for almost two years, and she mentioned that it had been a crazy couple years.

Diane is usually the best one to speak without about controversial subjects and she is a bit more accessible, so likely we will ask her about the topic.

Also I have not had time to read the thread as yet, and I wanted to aquaint myself on the subject before brining it up.

Postby katydid0317 » Fri Jul 23, 2004 8:20 pm

Well I survived my first day at the con. I hadn't even thought of approaching Amber today since I knew she was going to be there all weekend, but there was almost no line so I did. After MR last year, Amber said to question her everytime I see her to see if she remembers me. She didn't today. It was actually quite funny. She felt bad but I do look totally different from last year. She saw a picture I had from Sidewalk Fest in 2002 and wanted it but it was all knarled up. I promised to reprint it and bring it back to her this weekend. I don't know why she wanted it but whatever. She wrote my name on her wrist so that when she sees me tomorrow or Sunday she will remember it.

Didn't talk to her long since I had to run upstairs to get in the room for the Tru Calling talk. My friend currently in Iraq loves her and made me swear to try to get a good picture.

Rally: Did you see what the deal was on the tshirts? I didn't have a chance to really look at them.....just curious.

The deals were as follows:

Again, Diane is trying to close the items out since they found a distributor for Chance and they agreed to let them sell the remaining copies.

VHS Copy of Chance plus a tshirt - $25

DVD Copy of Chance plus a poster or photo - $45

Autographed photo (choice of about 6) - $20

We got a Chance dvd plus two photos of her. Diane offered us a poster also, but we had them back from Sidewalk days.

Friday report shortly.

P.S. - We think we were designed by Danielle

Friday, we grabbed a quick bite and headed to the con. First stop, Inkworks, shocking I know. Amber was there, though she was not supposed to be.

One quick image here, most turned out blurry her on her cell phone and Diane dragging her away. Amber just cannot say no.

Amber on Friday - yes same clothes

We wandered the dealers room, saw a few folks including Camdon Toy (Hush) and James Leary (Clem) - chatting.

Toy - Clem

Later in the day we headed over to Eliza for Tru Calling. Here is the bit, back on Thursday Nov 4th, it is airing Thursday nights at 9pm with the OC as the intro show, this is good news.

Eliza sang, she was funny, Q&A sucked, because of the questions. Tru S2 started filming last week, she says look for lots of guest stars and new characters. No films or any other projects are currently in the works.

She did sign, but that was madness that I will detail later.

Pics one of her on stage, one on the big screen:

Eliza Stage

Eliza Screen

Quick stop to see Robin Sachs, we have many funny stories about this later, but check out the all the Buffy co stars sporting facial hair:

Robin Sachs

What is with the hair?

And very quickly the cracker theif...

Bwhahahahhhahahahahhahha

More later....

Yay for Amber finding a distributor for "Chance" so now the splendour can be shared with a larger audience.

Yay for Eliza and TC2 as well.:peace

Great photos of Amber as she is truly a rarity in Hollywood; someone who can't stay away from the fans who love and support her in all her endeavours.

A mutually symbiotic relationship.:tara
