It's out!! I just got my copy. I haven't read it yet, Amber's story is called The Innocent, I'll scan later! And did anyone get the regular buffy comic today? It was supposed to be out but they didn't get it.

Blasted TFAW told me that we won't get our copy of TOTS until MARCH! They won't get it in until February *CRY* Blasted online retailers.

Just finished Tales of the Slayer. I thought it was a great little collection. Loved the Frey piece. A monkey! Woo and a hoo! And Amber's piece was very well done. Very worth the $ and a trip to the comic store.

On a side note - while at the comic store I picked up the cutest buffy pop-out people. So I am weird, but I thought they were hysterical. You can cut out and stand up all the BtVS characters, and the set comes with a little Sunnydale backdrop. On one side it is night and on the other it is day. Too funny. But is it appropriate to set them up on my desk at work...hmm...

If it's any help, the ISBN number is 1-56971-605-6, and make sure it's the "Graphic Novel" published by Dark Horse Comics . . .

Thanks for the scans Mistress Xita -- you kick ass.

I'm a little sad that the story was so short -- It seems it could have been fleshed out a lot more. Perhaps there were budgetary issues on that. It was a good story though.

BRIEF SPOILER

I believe it was Hemiola and myself who raised the question about the ending of "The Glittering World," but the question wasn't about the story of the Slayer meeting Death by the side of the road. Not on the metaphorical level anyway . . . more in the immediate context.

Thanks for the advice. I just did this and it worked like a charm.

Amazon.com UK recognised my regular US account, had all my shipping information and everything, and says it will be shipping within 24 hours.

Then I went to Amazon.com US and canceled my order there. God, I love the internationalization of life. I just ordered a frigging comic book from England, and it will ship tomorrow! Ain't life grand?!!

I feel really out right now! I had absolutely no idea there were Buffy comics!! For how long have they been around? Is it possible to read it online somewhere?

Damn, sometimes I hate living in Brazil!!!

ROFL Ruth! You too? And to think Xita told me I was the only one. That I was special. How vexing. I have been lied to once again. Live and learn. Never trust an older woman.

Tales of the Slayers was the first BTVS graphic novel I bought, and it was totally worth it! The only way it could be improved would be if the stories were a tad longer- I want to know more about these Slayer gals!

Amber's story was very well done, and I also enjoyed 'Nikki goes down' (jeez, it does sound like a bad porn tille). Seeing the badass seventies Slayer brought back delicious FFL flashbacks.

My favorite story though was the one written by the Master himself (Joss Whedon) about the medieval Slayer. I liked the fact it was written in rhyme, and the ending was positively chilling.

ARGH!!!

The Tales of The Slayer comic is so near yet so far from me. I've got it in my orders bag but because I bought the Buffy Magazine I couldn't take the comic as well! It was either one or another with the amount of vitamin M I had in my pockets (just enough for one item). *sniff* Hope to bring that home next month.
