'Superstar'observation mystery

Postby kindagay » Mon Sep 22, 2003 4:17 pm

Hi everyone,

Okay, so after re-watching every :willow & :tara interaction ever, I noticed something in the episode Superstar.

Will, Tara & Buffy are walking home from the Bronze & when they get to Tara's exit the blonde beauty says 'Willow I'll see you tomorrow', then I noticed that she mouthes something else before Willow responds. Now, unfortunately I'm no good at lip reading so I was wondering if anyone else had noticed this exchange & if so, do you know what Tara says?

If anyone can shed any light on this mystery for me I will be immensely grateful 'cos it's been bugging me for so long.

Thanx

Oh well, now I am going to have to rewatch that. Darn. :p

It's been a while, I seem to recall Tara moving her lips, but it looked more like she was wanting to say something rather than actually mouthing words. :hmm

nah she's mouthing something.. but maybe it's an error that they didn't see when they put the scenes together.. :hmm ok.. anybody reading on lips? I'm all curious now :p

Now, it's been like over a year or something since I've seen this episode, but I believe what y'all are talking about is just them doing another angle of the same scene. So, what you see her mouthing is her line again. Yes, another take I mean. At least that's the conclusion I came to when I saw that so long ago. I could be way off though. :)

Yeah, I've noticed this, too, and sometimes they do several takes with very poor editing. They have to space out their lines and when they splice scenes together, sometimes you catch the lip moving, although it's the same line they just said.

Hmmm...I'm not positive, but I think Tara is saying, "I love you, Willow. Please come to my room and we'll have coffee, food and gay lovin'." But I could be mistaken. :p

Actually, I'd never noticed the alleged lip movement. I must be slipping.

Can somebody point me in the direction of a URL to view or download the clip in question? I'd love to talk a walk down memory lane and revisit the moment...;)

Thank you all for your insight on this one. I felt so sure that it was a sweet, subtle declaration of love, ah well, in my head it can be :)

Actually I think TKOLove was definitely right. Shame Will didn't take up the offer, then poor Tara wouldn't have been needlessly attacked.

Poor Tara :(

:hmm

Well, I just watched it. It's funny... I had never noticed that before. WOW...

Amber's so cute! :heart

I think, and this is only my opinion... but I think it's part of a clip that was cut out and was accidentally left in. That's the only thing I can think of.

Not sure though.

"One thing I don't understand," Willow went on, laying herself down on top of Tara's legs, with her head resting on her stomach, "is how you don't just lock yourself in your room and play with yourself all day."
Tara laughed, which caused her chest to shudder quite expressively, and Willow to, "Mmmm," again. "Hellebore," Chapter 20 by Chris Cook

Thank you, domaris and kindagay. :) It's just a theory, but I think we can make it stick. ;)
