Wow, new spoiler thread. Hope everyone finds it okay. I can't believe that the next new ep doesn't air untill April 30th. UPN messed up somewhere along the line. Anyway, as I am sure Xita would remind you, it is a fact that Tara dies. It is 1200% confirmed. However, there is a chance of a reset, but there are no credible spoilers backing up such a sceneario right now. The finale should be filming very soon, but leaks have tightened seriously and those with the password to eidc shootsheet see no evidence of any buffy filming anywhere.

It's quiet, almost too quiet. But the last time that happened, the shat hit the fan and we are there was spoiler diarahea for two weeks.

godspeed and go see David Fincher's truely excellent Panic Room.

I like the spoiler board. Way better. Like that unspoiled people won't see anything, except if they want to.
Very good. We had a hard time to hide everything, when we first had the Tara die spoiler.

I think this is a great idea, although I'm going to have to watch myself as speculation and spoiler discussion tend to blend together rather easily.

And just a question - is this thread for all spoilers? Meaning it's not just for ones from proven or official sources? Thanks.

I think it could be great having the spoilers and specs in different thread. Very cool indeed.

Will "spoilers" from Wanda be posted and discussed in the spoiler thread or the speculation thread?

I like that the spoilers and the specs are now separated. I can't wait for the day when the spoiler thread jumps up 5 pages in only a few hours. Hoping it'll be the long awaited good news.

This is a great idea Xita. My heads still spinning from the last spoiler threads. Hopefully it will be a little easier to keep track of what's going on this way. Now, where are those spoilers? Here spoiler.... here spoiler.

Thank god for a separate spolier and speculation thread. The combination of the two just made the spolier thread go insanely out of control.

Just dropping by the new spoiler board!

Steve DeKnight was just over at the Bronze, but nothing in the way of spoilers, other than instruction to avoid them!

Ignore what I just said, DeKnight did actually say this:

We have plans for Dawn. Hee Hee Hee

pff, yay thanks a lot stephen. There are plans fore everyone, aren't there? ick.

About spoilers, all spoilers belong here, even if we aren't sure, unless we are sure they are bunk.

Anyway, I am going to repost what Marti said to Wanda :)
[quote:edd96fc002][b:edd96fc002][i:edd96fc002]Quote:[/i:edd96fc002][/b:edd96fc002]

Let's start with the episode that really riled up the fans: Did Buffy's trip to the mental hospital mean the entire show is just a hallucination?
Noxon: We never meant for it to be a statement of the show. If so, it would have been the very last episode of Buffy. We just wanted to have a little fun and say: "Could it have all been her hallucination?" It was a brain teaser. We believe in the world of Buffy. Wholeheartedly.

We didn't want to invalidate her whole journey. It was just kind of a what-if, not a thesis statement, and we're not going to have asylum shows from now on.

Will the show lighten up?
Because of Buffy's mom dying and her dying, this season was darker, since she had to fight back from that. She'll always have travails, but we are looking to bring her back into a heroic stance. We're going to throw Buffy a bone or two. And I think, ultimately, people will be happy with the balance. There's so much cool stuff about to happen--in a way people are not expecting.

Fans have been pretty vocal in their criticism of this season. Does it have an effect?
We do listen, but we wouldn't let fan opinion change us dramatically. Sometimes, the fans are going "no, no, no!" and we know we are heading somewhere they will like.

What about the folks who still want Buffy and Angel together?
They call themselves the shippers. These are the people who still have their high school sweetheart's picture in a frame on the wall. They can't seem to let things go. I think Buffy and Angel's relationship was idealized. It was like a fairy tale, in the way young girls dream about--to have this perfect, unattainable man.

But you have to throw curve balls. We gave Buffy and Angel a barrier they couldn't surmount. This locks it into a romantic ideal, because they never fought over who has to do the laundry. They were stuck in the first beautifully passionate stage of love, and that's where it will be forever.

Some of the fans want Buffy and Spike together. Does that surprise you?
Sometimes, things don't go the way we intend. It seemed very obvious to us that the Buffy-Spike relationship couldn't work in the long run, so now we need to reiterate why. We need to get in there and show people the difference between loving someone who is good to be around and loving someone who is good.

I think people have forgotten the Spike of two seasons ago. I mean, he tried to kill Willow! Can you really see Spike and Buffy in a condo deciding what they should watch on TV that night? That's not our thesis. What we want to show is an independent heroine who is not defined by her relationships.

How much is Joss Whedon involved in the show now?
Very. He works out the storylines, but we do have a little more freedom with the production. Right now, he's working on Firefly and the BBC show--plus Buffy and Angel. So, Joss is very busy, and he loves it. He's like a pig in poo.

You know what? Everytime I read that..I'm more irritated by it.

Who the hell has an idealized view of love that includes the person you love telling you you were horrible in the sack, leaving you in the aftermath and then trying to murder you, your family and your friends?

Does Marti even remember what she's written?

And are B/Aers the only shippers?

No see that's what disturbs me about that. She is passing judgement on all shippers I think. And you know if the want to mess up with the couples fine but you can't really fault the fans for finding something they relate too. You have torespect the fans at least, even if you are heading a different way.

My specific comment there was that she says the B/Aers call themselves shippers..

I just wanted to smack her and say..honey..the term shipper has been around a long time. I was Alonzo/Julia shipper and a Vansen/Hawkes shipper long before I was a B/A, C/X and W/Ter...

And guess what, it'll be around a long time after BUFFY and ANGEL ride into the sunset..

Well, if she did, Wanda would be admitting that she isn't the end-all, be-all of spoilers. Even if she asked, she wouldn't publish it. Her readers would all flee to AnGeL X. :)

I tend to agree about Marti, I'm not that convinced that she means to come across as she does, whether its her basic interview technique or just that she was in that kind of mood when Wanda interviewed her I'm not sure, but she hasn't done herself any favours, she did come across as being very disrespectful to the fans, which is not a good idea, given that if people don't watch, there's no show, not that I'm suggesting people won't watch because of what she said, but there's more than a few people pissed at her attitude!

Postby Corinthian » Sat Mar 30, 2002 8:23 pm

As I stated on the old board, we must remember that Marti is not Joss. And as to her attitude, she's probably getting hit on all sides right now from fans who are:

a) pissed
b) worried
c) scared shitless

I'm not excusing her actions by any means. But she is new to the job and probably feels like many fans are ready to throw her to the wolves. This is her first chance to prove herself fully, and I'm sure it's worn her down. I'd argue that we should all keep an open mind (and heart) and reserve judgement until the credits roll at the end of Ep. 22. If you're still unhappy, feel free to pick up a few metaphoric tomatoes and hurl 'em her way. But let's give Marti a chance.

All we are saying, is give Marti a chance...

C'mon everyone, sing along!

*listens to the crickets*

Sigh...

Have faith. That's all I'm saying.

The one thing that is giving me hope just now is that based on what we have been told about black magic, Willow cannot survive if she continues using it and she will not stop as long as Tara is gone. As someone said on this board a while ago "To kill Tara is to kill Willow"
