I just wanted to share some idea and thoughts, as I will be like 3000 miles away..
While Amber can't really say any spoilers (esp since episode 19-20) has not aired yet. I dont think it is out of bounds to either ask her what her plans are for next year or express that you know what is happening and ep 19-22 and how it makes you feel. No blame or anything, just "I feel terrible" or you meant this to me... She didnt kill Tara, she is Tara:)
Thats just my opinion..
Wearing Kitten shirts seems like a cool idea, and helps let her know about her loyal fanbase.
And once last thing, Xita has a lot to deal with at the Con, and I was wondering if anyone, anyone please please please
could get her to sign a copy of wannablessedbe or "tales of the slayer" for me?

Ummm... it's not Comic Con. Comic Con is in San Diego at the beginning of August. This is a signing at Metro Entertainment in Santa Barbara.

Wouldn't want anyone to go looking for Comic Con in San Deigo this Saturday, because that would be a real bummer...

I also believe that it's possible to buy fake tears (for stage use etc.) which are mostly made of glycerine.
Or you could just try saying what Tara and W/T mean to you. Sure to bring on the tears..

I know all the crack cracks are jokes, at least I hope they are. I don't know Amber Benson, never met the woman, but I think the kind, gentle soul that is Tara is pure Amber, no pretense at all. I feel the best course of action is sheer, brutal honesty, with or without tears, your choice. Tell her how much we love her character, her relationship with Willow and (this is the key, folks) how devastated a massive segment of the BTVS fan base is going to be if Tara dies. She may not have the decision making power to change that decision if it's already, but if it were me, and I saw how much my character has affected people's lives well, let's just say I'd be willing to share a little inside information, to give my fans some closure, and maybe ease their pain a bit.

I have one of those and a signed video box set courtesy of the FP signing in London last year. For what it's worth she came across as very sweet and really went out of her way for those waiting to see her, including stretching out on top of a desk at one point to sign for someone who was in wheelchair.

I think something simple along the lines of "If she has any ideas what she wants to do after Buffy" or "If she is still negotiaitng for next year." Something where she could give a hint without breaking any rules.

All kidding aside, I think this is probably the best approach for us to take. Let Amber know that we know what's coming and that we still support her, whether she's on [i:e34bbebd7e] Buffy[/i:e34bbebd7e] or doing something else next year. I doubt she'll say anything in the way of specific spoilers, but we might get a veiled reassurance or two.

I absolutely agree with BBOvenGuy on the all kidding aside issue. Although I'm not in anyway privy to AB's contract with ME, most performers' contracts on a spoiler intensive show like BtVS have confidentiality clauses so if the performer spills info she's not supposed to, a nasty little person like me is sent in to sue them. So to everyone making the trek to SB this weekend, have a wonderful time and definitely convey unconditional support for whatever she will be doing next year. But do remember that getting AB to leak specific info would put her in an vulnerable situation which is not what any kitten would want to do I'm sure.
