I'm so bored Tuesday MKF

Postby Magrat70 » Tue Apr 16, 2002 1:12 am

Couldn't see a daily thread so I decided to start one.

I have a day off work today but my girlfriend couldn't have the day off. It is dreary outside so here is my question

What do you think Willow and Tara would do on a boring, wet and windy Tuesday? :grin

If they had a dog, they'd get very annoyed and shout at it. Like I'm doing with my dog right now. 'Cause he's a git. He's in one of his moods today. He's gonna end up getting stuffed head first in the poop bin, if he's not careful!

Anyone who's been reading Sassette's fic Answering Darkness knows that they play strip chess on rainy days! [img:f8b5577bcd]http://www.duhspot.com/users/smiley/s/contrib/geno/wink.gif[/img:f8b5577bcd]

No where near wet and windy here... hazy, muggy and (so far) warm is the case in TO. But we're in for a scorcher, I'm told.

But if it's bad weather where the girls are, they may just, y'know, stay in bed or something. All day. I'm sure they'll find something to keep them busy...

Okay so I've never started a daily thread, but I have gotten used to the titles that are used. So I've actually decided to call *MY* day today: 'Thank God The Aussies Have Finally Seen The Buffy Musical It's Fantastico - Tuesday'! Try saying that five times fast! Lol, so Tuesday just isn't so boring for me! Anyway good luck to everyone else, with filling the down time!
Willow and Tara's favourite ways to fill those cold, wet and dreary days? Anything that involves 'stripping' really

From Forbes.com http://www.forbes.com/newswire/2002/04/ ... 69639.html

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" executive producer/showrunner Marti Noxon has signed a three-year, seven-figure overall development deal with 20th Century Fox Television, which produces the hit show.

Umm does that mean she's signed for three years to Buffy or just to 20th Century Fox? Dear God WHY would they do that, why! I mean of all people Marti Noxon, why not Joss, David Greenwalt, anyone-else...Excuse me for a moment while I go scream...

As much fun as it sounds, I'm very grateful they didn't have strip chess when I was on the chess team in high school (for one thing, just deal with the visual and besides, I sucked and everyone knows it's no fun to be the first one nekkid). Willow & Tara's version would be far less grotesque, of course...

Regarding Marti's development deal... does anybody know exactly what this means? Do they want her to develop other shows? If so, could that interfere with Buffy? And I assume Joss & Greenwalt already have these, right?

Mmmm, I'm still riding high from an overdose of Buffy goodness... last night was the musical (and the W/T song was even better than I had been told *yay!*) and tonight on pay tv was the season 5 ep where Tara gets her brain sucked out by Glory. Ok, so maybe not the happiest episode, but I still like it because of the W/T angst... and the part where Willow calls Tara her 'everything' :)

...it's really dreary looking and surprisingly humid in this part of Texas today (humidity and desert terrain usually don't mix well).....although I agree with others that their rainy day consolation activity would definitely involve a strippy, sweaty, sensual activity (ahem.....ok, stopping now before I drive myself nuts ;) ), I also think they might just do the lazing around, reading bits of Tennyson, Roethke, Rilke or Whitman to each other....something moody, dark and kind of brooding to match the dreary day....

So my Tuesday started off warm, humid and rainy and did one of those "let's pour down rain for a good 45 minutes and then all the humidity and warmth goes away and it drops 20 degrees (farenheit)" things. The sun came out for about 3 minutes at lunch time. Rainy days always make me kind of sad and sleepy and crave chocolate. All of my students were a little down today too. I hope it's nicer tomorrow so I don't have to pretend that I like bouncing around the classroom. (Cuz really I [b:fd896d45af] love[/b:fd896d45af] bouncing around being all happy and excited and getting my students' attention for 5 hours a day. I wouldn't have to be so damn cheerful and perky all the time if my students listened to me when I tried to be normal instead of just when "teacher" is doing something interesting and funny that Korean teachers would never do - like do the hokey pokey and shake her butt around at the front of the class). Oops, didn't mean to go off about Korean students. I think it's probably a good thing I'm returning to the states in 3 months (and 5 days). As much as I love Korea, my homestay family, and my students, I just don't enjoy teaching here anymore. Blah.

so anyhooooo .... I think Willow and Tara would rent some movies and snuggle together on the couch. Because you know when you're alone in a house watching a movie while snuggling, you don't watch the movie for very long ...

Holy Schnikeys ... that's just ... really strange. I don't know why, but this just really struck me. Weird. I think part of what's weird about this is that it's this really big important event there, but other than making me do a double-take on the daily thread here, and actually go read the article, it has no effect on my life whatsoever.

As for a rainy Tuesday, I think that if they could get everyone else out of the house, they would declare it a Day of Nakedy Goodness, turn on the heater, and wear No Clothes, All Day. I, uhh, WAS going to say strip chess, but that's already been mentioned *shrug*

Well it is hot and muggy today in Chicago land.

My son is home today, sick and I have a job interview!

So I gotta go and get all fancied up for this. Though I am extremely pessimistic about it.
Wish me luck though!

[/quote:6a3115b9ce]See, as an American, I see the line ``credited with slashing unemployment and creating prosperity, less than a month before the country goes to the polls on May 15,'' and I think, ``Aw, this sucks. He'd be a shoo-in for re-election.'' Heck, right about now, I'd vote for anyone who'd slash unemployment.

It's amazing how the important issues are so completely different in other countries. I mean, it sucks that there was so much death, but a) it's in Bosnia, not Holland, and b) it was ONE mistake. From what I can gather from the article, the main issue is ``sending the troops to Srebrenica with ill-defined goals and a weak mandate''. The inability to protect the Muslims and the subsequent organized exodus were military decisions, and, given the first, the second might have been necessary to save lives.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the situation, and the article is somewhat brief. It's just strange to me, an American, how one incident of sending troops with ``ill-defined goals'' could dissolve an entire goverment (save the Queen). I mean, this is the same government that gave people jobs.

it's 11:41 in new mexico and all i want to do is go back to bed! my girlfriend had a 10 page paper, 2 revisions of 8 page papers, an 8 minute speech, and a 2 page quiz last night so we were up all night. now i'm exhausted and i have no idea how she's making it through the day over at the university.

wet, rainy tuesday... our girls might be reading, or updating their books of shadows, or doing laundry. rain always makes me want to crawl right back into bed and snuggle or read.

They might poke around online, find www.14below.com, and order tickets for James Marsters, Steve DeKnight, Doug Petrie and their new band "Ghost of the Robot" 's performance at 14 Below on Sunday, April 21st at 7:00pm.

I really did think that it was an April Fool's thing. Heh.

Then they would read some smut and see who was the first person to crack and dive in.

Hi everybody.

I'm so happy today :grin . School was easy and at gym we played rugby, and I tackled all the boys ;) Okaay, sometimes I am large with the butch!! :grin It's the best feeling in the world, you know to give them the hand and pull them up from the dirt you have just kicked them into!!! Hehehe...the only negative thing was that someone have made a huge scratch down my neck...:(

But then after I came home from school and a meeting, my mother saw a message I have got from one of my closest friends...it said that she missed me, and that she loved me. I was like awww, I love you too girl, but my mother totally freaked! I tried to explain that sometimes friends say that to each other...but noooooo...God I hate her sometimes...

Anyway, it wont spoil my good mood...

Today's W/T question? I would say that they would do something crazy, like running out in the pouring rain, dancing and make love on the wet grass :D Or maybe that's just me ;)

Happy Tuesday Kittens :grin

For me it's "I'm so happy it's finally sunny in Indiana, Tuesday". Can't wait until next Tuesday, though, because that means new episode!!!!! Wooohooo!
What would they do on a rainy day? Um, yeah, the Monopoly thing. In the same way Spike just made the Buffybot to play checkers with.
