It's extra-flamey fireworks Thursday, MKF

Postby brave little toaster » Thu Jul 04, 2002 3:50 am

No daily topic yet? Well, then, I must step up! I know we've got lots of brit kitties here, but since it is the 4th, my question is what kind of foods would Willow and Tara prepare for a 4th of July picnic with the scoobies?

Whatever they would bring on a picnic, I'm sure Tara would make sure that there is some nutritious items in the picnic basket (I can never say that without pronouncing it like Yogi bear does). Willow would probably distract Tara so she can put junk food in the basket when she's not looking.

Its piddling rain here at the moment, so I'll probably get drenched going home. Ah well, that's what I get for living in Ireland [img:418eae6c14]http://homepage.eircom.net/~mollyig/wink1.gif[/img:418eae6c14]

When in the course of human events it becomes necessary to eat outside, we hold this truth to be self evident: you can't have a picnic without fried chicken and watermelon.

Happy Birthday, America!

Picnic food? Jam tarts of course. Then later on they'd enjoy the fireworks ;) Happy 4th of July kitties.

Christ, you mention jam tarts once, in a really innocuous sense, and then [b:de27b06b38] everybody[/b:de27b06b38] wants them... :rolleyes

Well it's turning into a rather somber July 4th in LA. Apparently a gunman went to the El Al ticket counter at LA Internat'l Airport and opened fire on people before he was shot either by LA police or El Al security. I was so hoping we could get through our national holiday without anything more newsworthy than baseball scores, Wimbldon matches, fireworks and ice cream. *[i:c5159d78c9] sigh[/i:c5159d78c9]*

Happy 4th of July everyone! I have a confession... this is my least favorite holiday, but not for reasons one might think. I have a terrible fear of loud noises, so the fireworks scare the piss out of me! Seriously, I think my cat is braver than me. :o

Edited to add: Is my sig too big?

Happy 4th of July everyone, and I am looking forward to seeing the fireworks with my friends tonight. As for what W&T would pack on their picnic I would say strawberries and cream, deli sandwiches (turkey, ham, tuna, and etc), potato salad, and of course yummy chocolate.

Happy Fourth!!! I was also hoping to get through the day with nothing major happening. *sigh* Why are their idiots in the world?

Well, other than that, I enjoyed a chance to sleep late today. I went and saw Men In Black 2 last night, which I liked a lot. I went to see Like Mike today. Cute little movie. Nice to sit there and not have to think. *laugh* Tonight, I am going to enjoy the fireworks in the nice, insect-free, area I like to call my living room. *laugh* I am a wuss. Everytime I go to fireworks displays, I get eaten by bugs.

As for the picnic, I think that the girls would have sandwiches, fruit, and definately chocolate in some form or another.

Well, I hope that you all have a wonderful holiday! Back to work for me tommorrow.

[b:ca7f962217] Dixie[/b:ca7f962217]--I can totally sympathize. Fireworks scare me too, especially the ones that look like they are coming right down at you. When I was in high school, one of the fireworks did end up hitting a tree and the fire department was there, and I never again believed "don't worry; they won't hit you."

I agree with [b:3595784917] mollyig[/b:3595784917], Tara would prepare something nutritious, nothing that we could actually pronounce but very tasty, and Willow would sneak in the junk food when Tara's not looking. Willow probably have a pack of Twizzlers while eyeing Gummy Bears or something. I can picture saying no to pizza considering that's what they have any other night. :lol

Happy July 4th, everyone!

Mental note: Next time they give the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, check the performance listing. Enrique Iglesias and Britney Spears? Nuh uh...time to hit the channel changer.

I went through my entire Thursday completely forgetting that it was the 4th of July until my dad asked me if I'd told my host family that it was a special American holiday. Hard to tell them about the holiday when I totally forgot about it myself! Silly La.

It's raining today!! It had better stop by tomorrow, I'm taking my host sister on a picnic because tomorrow she'll be finished with her final exams!

You can't have a picnic without having watermelon and holding seed-spitting contests. It's a requirement. So Tara and Willow would end up getting all silly and start spitting watermelon seeds at each other ... :)
