It's Another Boring Tuesday, MKF! 7-2-02 OLD THREAD

Yeah, yeah, I know. Real creative with the daily thread topic there. But it really is another boring Tuesday. Then again everyday is boring to me anymore.

I guess I came up with this one because I wanted to know, if Willow and Tara were just bored at home on a Tueday, what would they do to pass the time? I know what I think they'd do but then again everyone's not a whore like me. Ooh maybe they have a naked fun day , who knows.

it was a kinda sad tuesday for me today since it was my last day teaching my tuesday classes (next tuesday is their final exams and the following tuesday and wednesday are holidays) and tomorrow is my last day teaching my wednesday classes All my girls telling me that I wasn't allowed to leave and they were going to miss me. I made all of my classes (I have 19 classes that I see once a week) a card/sign with pictures of their class and me and my address and email address, so maybe they'll actually write me. All 700 of my students have supposedly had my email address (I wrote it on the board at least twice throughout the year) but I've only receive 4 or 5 emails. Harumph. They SAY they'll miss me. It's worse that it's dragging out so long though, I still don't leave for another 19 days. On Saturday I'll have been here for a full year ... Can't believe it's gone.

So, Willow and Tara, on a boring Tuesday, would have sex. That's what everyone should do on boring Tuesdays ... providing you have someone to do it with ... or even if not ... there's always smut.

I thought for a while that it was going to be a boring Tuesday for me, as the tennis was late starting due to adverse weather. But all is well, I'll have the Wimbledon Highlights to keep me happy later (and perhaps a bottle of wine too!)

Yeah, I was looking forward to the tennis until it started pissing down and then I got fed up and began a long and convoluted conversation with my mother just to get her verbally tied in knots. It's fun when she doesn't understand. Heh.

I tried to post twice in the daily thread last night, but the psycho, post-eating monster that lives in my girlfriend's computer just wouldn't have it. *sniffle*

At any rate, started my new job yesterday, and it went pretty well. Things are busy over there, but that suits me, as it makes the day go by quickly. And my supervisor brought in a whole lot of ice cream to get people out of their "Oh, great, it's Monday... again" funk after lunch. I am very open to ice cream bribery. Woo for selling my soul for sugar! But hey, it was cappuccino gelato in a waffle cone. At least I have my standards...

Ooh, and a big slutty shout out to Rally, who I thought of yesterday while I was settling into my new routine. Hope everything went smoothly, or at least, not too traumatically, with the changes at work.

It's quite friggin hot in korea right now. And I like to sleep without bothersome clothing when it's hot, but i have to make sure that i have the sheet nearby within easy reach since my host grandmother and host sister tend to spontaneously pop into my room at various times of the day and night.

Well the thing is, so someone I didn't know I was working for, my new bosses new boss, so to speak. Stops by my office Friday morning, but he won't tell me anything, I still hadn't seen the org chart, but had to attend a meeting that morning to have it revealed.

They bribed us Friday with a bbq lunch, but they had two kegs of Sierra Nevada, they've never had beer at a lunchtime gathering before. So we all proceed, myself, my former boss, and a few others related to our group, kinda stood out there all afternoon. Very productive Friday.

So by the time I haul my ass back to my office, I get an email from my new boss, saying he is out all this week on vacation. So basically I am in limbo this week. My vacation plans have been shattered because I have no boss to sign off on the days. One of my old bosses says I can keep my office and stay down near them, the other one says no. It's all pretty messed up. So I sit around and twiddle my thumbs for 2 more days. Luckily Thrus and Fri are company holidays. But then I still have to wait until the new boss has time to set down with me.

So, long story, short, I am in limbo for another week.

Well, yesterday was a horribly long day at work where I got to work 4 hours longer than I was supposed to. Our tech went home right after he came in and I was left by myself all day on the wackiest day of the week. Why does everyone break their computer on the weekend? *sigh*

Hopefully, today will be better. The sun is out and it is supposed to get up into the 80's. I know I have been living in Oregon to long because that is hot to me. *laugh*

Willow and Tara bored? I think just the two of them together makes that impossible and besides..... if it's Tuesday, Dawn's in danger. *grin*

So Rally, I take it the point of the corporate reorganization was to increase productivity then? They're doing a bang-up job so far, aren't they? I'm sorry you have to sit in limbo for so long. In many ways, that's harder than just knowing what's what and dealing with it. Even if they are placating you with beer.

At least I just have to deal with a boss that comes in my office and screams at me. It's not pleasant, but it's over quick and I'm learning to not spend all my time dreading it. It's gonna happen, expect it, deal with it, move on. At the end of the day, the jokes on him b/c he thinks it's a powerful motivational tool and he's a human resource genius for implementing it. Putz. Sometimes work just plain sucks.

My supervisor doesn't even check up on me much less scream at me, but it looks like after lunch is over I'll kinda just be hanging out, waiting for Who's It and What's It and Oh, Yeah, Them Too to train me on my many, many new job duties- which doesn't seem likely to happen any time in the foreseeable future. Not having stuff to do at work drives me kinda nuts. Yeah life in limbo, fun not so much. I swear my former boss was in my office today surveying the equipment, trying to figure out what he was going to get. It's like, I will still be at least for the most part, supporting my former team, so ya know I kinda still need the same equipment. I know this is going to be a fight. Well at least tomorrow is Friday for me.

I'll say... I woke up this morning, bathing in sweat, with a hot fever and one hell of a sore throat. The doc came at noon, so now I have to take antibiotics (Alanis Morisette is singing "How 'bout getting off of these antibiotics in my mind) Anyway, I don't wanna sound pathetic. I'll live. It's raining cats and dogs outside, hence it wasn't so bad staying in (whenever <G>) Slept a lil in the afternoon, labeled some of my tapes, I hadn't got the chance to do during the exams, and finally post on the forum (dad said I couldn't go online because technicians needed the line to work on this programme on his comp: whatever).

Being ill made me wonder about W/T, what they would do, when the other would come down with a cold, the flue or something. Say, for instance: Tara has a sore throat. She probably would want Willow to stay away from her, so she wouldn't catch it. Of course Willow wouldn't have any of it, and softly kiss Tara's throat to kiss it better, you know Also bringing yoghurt, a wet napkin for her forehead, etc. Always look on the bright side of life, right

Actually, areslei, according to one of my ex roommates parent's, you shouldn't have sex when the temp's above ninety. Something about heat exhaustion, I think. I don't know. This was just one of life's little lessons they bestowed on her before she left for college. And they were talking from personal experienc.

Thanks, areslei Throat still f*cking hurts, and it keeps raining outside, but my fever broke down (I think). Weird how the weather can be so different in various parts of the world. I'll probably have to cancell the BBQ I was going to tomorrow evening. Probably won't have much of an appetite, swallowing's painful and a BBQ in the rain isn't much fun. Hi Slayer747 , next time, you can start your own daily thread if you want, it gets confusing if the old ones are bumped, not that it isn't allowed if you have something to add to the subject, but in this case you could also have started a new one. You don''t even have to wait till it is the next day on the board, heh, timezones can be confusing.
