TONIGHT
* * * * * * * *
The redhead brushed the creases out of her peasant top and stepped into The Bronze.

Loud rhythmic music washed over her as she walked to the bar, smiling and glancing at the crowd around the pool table.

She ordered a soda and took a seat by the dancefloor.

* * *

The blonde straightened her long skirt and stepped into The Bronze.

She immediately noticed the redhead.

She went to the bar and ordered a soda, then simply stood watching the woman intently.

The redhead glanced up.

Eyes met.

The redhead pulled out the stool next to her and raised an eyebrow in invitation.

The blonde graciously accepted and walked over smiling shyly.

The redhead admired the woman sitting before her. "It's busy here tonight. I haven't seen YOU here before...."

"Oh, I'm new here. It's kinda cool though. Do you c-come here often?"

"Yes, I do. You get to meet some ~very~ interesting people here" the redhead's eyes twinkled as she spoke.

The blonde KNEW she had never seen anyone so beautiful before this moment.

The redhead KNEW she'd never met anyone so beautiful before in her life. "Would you like to dance?"

"Oh, er, sure." the blonde seemed hesitant at first, but then she rose and offered her hand.

The redhead stood and took the said hand, willingly being led to the dancefloor.

The music was soft and rhythmic.

The dance wasn't hurried.

Neither of them felt shy.

In fact, it seemed like they had been dancing like that, *together*, ~forever!~

Neither of them wanted it to end.....but.....

After about 10 minutes, the redhead leaned into the blonde and whispered, "How about we get out of here?"

"Oh, are you ~sure~? replied the blonde, her eyebrows raising, a little uncertain.

The redhead practically purred, a minxy look in her eye, "Oh yesss..."

The blondes' eyebrows COULD NOT have shot any higher if they had tried!

They left very shortly after that.

* * * * * * * *
(The blondes' room)...

There had been kissing.

Quite a lot of kissing!

And there was music in the background.

A cd was playing. A woman could be heard singing "So dear to me..."

"Mmmmmm, I think they are right!" the redhead mumured dreamily into the other woman's shoulder.

"They? About what?" answered the blonde curiously, hands caressing the other's back softly as they danced once again.

"Oh, about blondes having more fun!" the redhead fought back a giggle and grinned into the shoulder.

The blonde smirked and tried hard to stifle a giggle also. She managed to remain composed however, and at that, the minxy look in the redhead's unseen eye returned.

*Twofold!*

She pulled back from the warm embrace and looked the blonde right in the eye, then said in her best sultry voice...

"Do you come here often?"

A beat of silence.

Then another.

Then another.

And then the room was filled with sound from both women as they dissolved into histerics and then fits of giggles.

"OH WILLOW! THAT'S SOOOO NOT FAIR!!!!!!!" pouted the blonde, hands on hips, full of mock-indignance.

"I'm so-so-sorry! I couldn't help it! Tara that so-sounded so-so corney!" and it was the redhead's turn to stutter as she tried to get her words out through the giggles.

"No fair...." pouted the usually shy wiccan through a slight smirk, "I couldn't think of what to say! You were making me all nervous with your 'Come-hither Willowlook'!!!"

But that half-hearted defence didn't help any as they both dissolved into yet another fit of laughter.

Then one turned off the music, the other turned off all the lights except for the one on the bedside table, and they both flopped onto the double bed, still giggling every now and then.

"So..." the redhead propped herself up on one elbow and regarded her girlfriend, "what did you think of my idea?" she beamed.

The ~pretending-to-be-strangers~ idea had come to the redhead in a flash, during a particularly wonderful session of smootchies the other night, much to the amazement, then horror, then slow-burning curiousity of her girlfriend.

The blonde blushed slightly and lay on her back. "Well honey, you know I wasn't sure at first...."

The redhead bit her lip slightly and waited for the answer...

"I think I've decided that I *like* your sassy idea!" she finished, turning her head towards the other and grinning.

The redhead breathed a sigh of relief, "and you had fun tonight?" she moved a little closer.

The blonde practically purred, a minxy look in her eye, "Oh yesss..."

Then there was kissing.

Quite a lot of kissing!

The bedside light was put off very shortly after that.

I liked the premise of them pretending not to know one another. This thing works in real life and is very sexy, trust me on that one.

However, your style of short, one sentence paragraphs was deliberately chosen, I'm assuming. It worked for me, although it did get kind of distracting towards the end of the introductory section.

But I liked the way you contrasted that with a more flowing narrative in the latter part of the story.

And the repetition of 'And then there was kising. Quite a lot of kissing.' was cute. It was self rerential enough to throw you back to the start of the story.

Interesting.

I had a feeling that they were just pretending to be strangers. This fic was adorable, and i can picture W/T doing this for real.
