Aly in TV hits (Aussie) magazine Jan 2002

Bones at HDC asked for htis to be posted here as they can't access the board.

Australian magazine TV Hits (A$4.60) has the following Aly goodness:-

1) Page 10 - Very good photo of the now famous " bum picture " ( as in my avatar)...can make out the back tattoo.....but her full face is shown in mag....

2) Page 14 - The musical episode is previewed, with 6 small but nice vidcaps from "the-making-of", plus small pictures of the red carpet set-up, plus a pic. of Aly and you-know-who

3) Page 21 - Flute pic. plus interview + good group AP2 half-page photo without AP2 LOGO......

4) No page number - Full page photo of "natuaral" Aly from waist up in Tall Oaks t-shirt, plus comments on movie - very nice photo !!!!

The pics and interviews ARE NOT new, but the pics are nice to very good, and all in one mag.

There is a small interview with Aly with has a picture of her holding a flute and wearing a Tall Oaks Band Camp T-shirt. An Interview with DB with a poster and a poster of SMG also.

What can we expect from American Pie 2?
Well, more laughs and the same characters, one year on. The girls have grown up a bit, but the guys are pretty much in the same place.

Is sex still so important?
Yes, not so much a frantic, "Oh my God, I've got to lose my virginity" sex, but it's definately still heavy on there minds. They're still boys.

Have you ever been to band camp?
No I have not. No band camp for me. But I can play "Mary Had A Little Lamb" on the piano!

Have you ever been tempted into witchcraft?
My friend and I tried to do a love spell in junior high school, but it didn't work. It was pretty dumb. We just weren't cut out for it. We were like, "Do you think it's working?" "Shhh, we're supposed to be focusing."

Who would you like to turn into a frog?
I love frogs, so it wouldn't be a punishment. But there are some frogs I'd like to turn into people. That would be nice.

If you could have a super power, what would it be?
Maybe I'd become invisible. I would really get to study people. There's only so much staring you can do!

Also in the TV Hits Poster Magazine that is out in Aus at the moment you can find a poster of the cast(S6), Aly, Michelle Tranchenberg, Eliza Dushka, SMG, DB, A giant AP2 poster and think there may have been a Marc Blucas one to, But I am not sure.

Also the current issue of TV Zone has a interview with Michelle Trachenberg and also one with Aly, but I haven't seen these yet so I don't know how good they are.

Aly is funny , and I was about to say and a little odd as well, liking frogs and all, but then I remembered I love snails, not to eat mind you *shudders*, I go around picking em up and helping them cross the street before they get crushed.

Interesting that Willow hates frogs and Aly loves them. And I always wondered if Joss was trying to get away from the stereotypical idea of a witch (eye of newt, leg of frog etc.) by having Willow be frightened of frogs.

well I assumed that was just another inside joke turned upside down in this case, Aly loves frogs = Willow hates frogs.

I've heard that Willow was afraid of frogs, but I have some questions about that. I know it's a bit OT from this thread, so please bare with me I could be way off here, but in "The Witch" when they need "eye of newt" or something like that, isn't it Xander who gets all eeewwwyyyy when trying to pop the eyes out of the frog and Will takes over kind of like "Oh, give me that you big baby?" When did her fear of frogs come into play? I don't remember her mentioning it on the show?

dude you're not 'way off'! I noticed that too!! weird...but it is also mentioned that she's afraid of frogs...for example "Don't warn the tadpoles!" (that just popped into my mind) but yeah, really weird...

Thanx for the heads up Puff - and thanx to Bones too. I'm gonna have to go buy that TV Hits now - I havent even picked one up in years. lol. Well - anything Willow/Aly or Tara/Amber-ish and I'm there! I went and bought that New Weekly in May or whenever for that pic of them at the 100th Ep party - and this sounds like it's got more than that.

Willow did say "don't warn the tadpoles" when she was woken up by Giles in the library. She explained that she had frog fear. And in season 2 when Willow had to distract someone she pretended that there were frogs all over here.

I wish I could remember the names of both of these episodes

I can't remember the "I have frog fear ep", although I know it was Season 1 - It may have been Angel - it was the first time Willow and Giles (I'm not sure about anyone else) stayed all night in the library researching. The other was that one after Innocence/Surprise, when Buffy gets sick, and lands in hospital, I think. I maybe wrong. Can't remember what it was called.
