F/X Buffy Promo with Aly

I just saw a promo for the BtVS reruns on F/X. It was a short piece that introduced Willow's character. Aly was featured and she made some cute comments about the difficulties she has in learning Latin for her part.

The spot also had a text narrative that ran across the bottom of the screen and it mentioned Tara and their relationship. I think it also mentioned that Aly said she has a "potty mouth" and likes to tell dirty jokes on the set (this is from memory).

Keep an eye out for it. It was great!

Yeah, it was cool, but I need to see it again to catch all the stuff they said. Besides Aly, Jane Espenson also said a few words and they showed clips of witchy Willow.

It looked like they filmed Aly's interview on the set sometime after the Winny flipped in "Spiral." She had on the green turtleneck and I think she had the scratch on her face, too.

I guess they'll be doing spots for all the main cast members.

There must be someone out there who can get this info verbatim. Somehow I have 'Alylust' right now. I think it's because I watched Tough Love again last week and was reminded of just how important Willow is. Sigh.

oooh i want someone to upload it. someone's gotta have it. and yeah, AP2 comes out soon. generally i hate those "gross" out movies and i hate the kind of teens that the characters are but hell...it's aly!!!

Sorry I don't have it verbatim, guys. They just showed it again and I caught all of it this time. Joss and some of the other production people talk about Willow, too. And Aly says she's a "lesbian witch!"

It's a nice little piece with footage of Tara included. Maybe they'll put something on the F/X site later.

Darn, I always miss the good stuff. Wish I could figure oout what channel F/X is. Does anybody know? I mean I have cable, I know what channel FOX is, but F/X just eludes me. It's a part of the FOX network, right? If anybody could help me out that would be *so* great.

It's here and it's about one meg. Strange voices belong to Marti Noxon, David Fury and Jane Espenson.

Here's what is on the screen:

Joss came up with Willow's name on his honeymoon... he liked the fact that Willow sounded vulnerable... paired with Rosenberg to reflect her Awkwardness.

Willow developed a lesbian relationship in season 4... with a fellow Wiccan character named Tara.

Alyson calls herself a real "potty-mouth" and... is usually the one telling dirty jokes on the set.

And my own note, can I just say Aly looks hot in that green turtle neck. I don't care what anyone says plus she wears the cutest hugest grin after she says lesbian witch.

Yeah, I was just happy over the fact that F/X put it in the promo. Nice and up-front about it.

hey, i couldn't see a thread for this, so i though i'd mention it. did anyone see the "Making of the Movie" of MTV last night? they were showing behind the scenes stuff from AP2. maybe it's a rerun. but lots of Aly goodness in it...and, there's a bunch of shots of her hitting people on the butt during their impromptu party after they wrapped filming. also a quick smooch on aly's cheek by natasha lyonne...*sigh*.

i love FX and their promos. they did great ones for the xfiles when it started syndication. unfortunately, you can't get FX in the NYC area! as hard to believe as it is, new yorkers are deprived of buffy syndication. my soul is filled with sadness. if any of you live in the new york area and know that i'm mistaken, please let me know!

also, does anyone know if this aly trailer is available on USENet? they usually have such things available for download.

Xita can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think F/X called the spots "Buffy Bites." They showed one a little later in the evening that featured the special effects folks and they talked about how long it takes the computers to generate a dusted vampire.

I really hope they get around to a Tara spot, cause that would be cool!

I sent a letter to my cable company a few weeks ago asking them to add it to the lineup. They haven't responded. They probably won't. But I'd really like to know what the deal is.

that makes 4 of them. in a previous thread i outlined 3 i saw while watching a movie on fx a few days ago. they didn't show the aly one then which is making me think there may me more to come!

as a buffy writer junky it's a big thrill seeing the writers talking about the show.

just saw the Aly spot. Way Cool!!! i'm going to try getting all of these on tape.
