This is one of my fav all time songs and I and I could just imagine Willow listening to this at this moment

I Go To Sleep by The Pretenders

When I look up from my pillow
I dream you are there with
Though you are far away
I know you'll always be near to me

I go to sleep,sleep
and imagine that you're there with me
I go to sleep,sleep
and imagine that you're there with me

I look around me
and feel you are ever so close to me
Each tear that flows from my eye
brings back memories of you to me

I go to sleep,sleep
and imagine that you're there with me
I go to sleep,sleep
and imagine that you're there with me

I was wrong, I will cry,
I will love you till the day I die
You were all,you alone and no one else
You were meant for me

when morning comes again
I have the loneliness you left me
Each day drags by
Until finaly my time descends on me

Songs that remind us of W/T

Was talking to a friend last night and said I'd seen Sinead O'Connor at a concert a while ago and wasn't that impressed with her, and explained that I preferred her earlier powerful pained angsty songs like Troy. So then, of course, I had to go and listen to Troy, and the following excerpt made me think of W/T

I'll remember it
Every restless night
We were so young then
We thought that everything
We could possibly do were the right
Then we moved
Stolen from our very eyes
And I wondered where you went to
Tell me when did the light die
You will rise
You'll return
The phoenix from the flame
You will learn
You will rise
You'll return
Being what you are
There is no other Troy
For you to burn

And I never meant to hurt you
I swear I didn't mean
Those things I said
I never meant to do that to you
Next time I'll keep my hands to myself instead
Oh, does she love you
What do you want to do?
Does she need you like I do?
Do you love her?
Is she good for you?
Does she hold you like I do?

Do you want me?
Should I leave?
I know you're always telling me
That you love me
Just sometimes I wonder
If I should believe
Oh, I love you
God, I love you
I'd kill a dragon for you
And die
But I will rise
And I will return
The Phoenix from the flame
I have learned
I will rise
And you'll see me return
Being what I am
There is no other Troy
For me to burn

the lyrics here are from a song called hestia, by katell keineg (1994). she's a welsh singer-songwriter who now lives in NYC. always been considered a celtic traditional musician, but there's more to her than just that. she's a terrific lyric-writer, to begin with, and has a wide range of inspirations she incorporates to her music, from led zeppelin to arthur rimbaud to julius caesar (yeah!). i went back to this song after reading some fan fiction (i can't remember who it was by, sorry...) where hestia was alluded to. in listening to the song again, it struck me how very tara-ish this set of lyrics is. some of the metaphors and the images here... they just fit with her character.

you are witnessing a start
a new life
you are witnessing the start
of my fabulous life

i’ve been
sleeping in a passageway under the sea
i’ve been
hiding from a world i could no longer
proceed in
i’ve been
trussed up inside,
haystack like that proverbial needle
looking for itself

i’ve been
crouching in the fireplace hestia;
safe amongst the flames
so you
stand there with the lion tamer’s rod
and you stick it in
and draw me out
and i fly off

i want you
but i don’t want your monkey

blackbird has black eyes
trickster with the queen of heart
tucked into his black bowler hat
you are witnessing a start
dead pigeon on the street
dead weight
descending from my knees
dead leaf on the branch
about to fall
i won’t accept, at this stage
anything that isn’t all i want

and i want you
but i don’t want your monkey

i’ve been laying low,
breathing for a while
with my arms wrapped around
my heartbroken child
but i woke up one day
with a song in my heart
and the words of the song said
you are witnessing a start

i want you
but i don’t want your
monkey on his leash
with the rabbi’s face
hanging off your neck

i want you but i don’t want
your cheeks pressed
you can feel him shake

i want you
but i don’t want your monkey
i want you
i want you
i want you

Songs that remind us of W/T

I was listening to one of my Nina Simone cds last night, and I swear I started to cry when this song came on - I'm such a sap!

WILLOW WEEP FOR ME

Willow weep for me
Willow weep for me
Bend your branches green
Along the stream that runs to sea

Listen to my plea
Listen willow and weep for me

Gone my lover's dream
Lovely summer's dream
Gone and left me here
To weep my tears into the stream

Sad as I can be
Hear me willow and weep for me

Whisper to the wind
And say that love has sinned
Leave my heart a-breaking
And making a moan
Murmur to the night
To hide the starry light
So none will find me sighing
And crying all alone

Weepin' willow tree
Weep in sympathy
Bend your branches down
Along the ground and cover me

When the shadows fall
Bend oh willow and weep for me

Now that I know there's something to know, I can't *not* know, just because I'm afraid
somebody'll know I know, you know?

These are all awesome songs! I'm not sure if this has been posted or not (I've been going through it for a while, but I may have missed it); I figured that since Amber loves him so, Jeff Buckley was more than appropriate - In this case for either Willow or Tara Just play the pronoun-game in some parts, and you'll be alllll set (this is SUCH a good song!) Oh, and Led Zeppelin II is definately the best.

Lover, You Should've Come Over

Looking out the door
I see the rain fall upon the funeral mourners
Parading in a wake of sad relations
As their shoes fill up with water
And maybe I'm too young
To keep good love from going wrong
But tonight you're on my mind so
(You'll never know)

I'm broken down and hungry for your love
With no way to feed it
Where are you tonight?
Child, you know how much I need it.
Too young to hold on
And too old to just break free and run

Sometimes a man gets carried away,
When he feels like he should be having his fun
And much too blind to see the damage he's done
Sometimes a man must awake to find that, really,
He has no-one...

So I'll wait for you... And I'll burn oh
Will I ever see your sweet return,
Oh, will I ever learn
Lover, you should've come over
'Cause it's not too late.

Lonely is the room the bed is made
The open window lets the rain in
Burning in the corner is the only one
Who dreams he had you with him
My body turns
And yearns for a sleep that will never come
It's never over,
My kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder
It's never over,
All my riches for her smiles when I slept so soft against her...
It's never over,
All my blood for the sweetness of her laughter
It's never over,
She is the tear that hangs inside my soul forever
Maybe I'm just too young
To keep good love from going wrong
Oh... lover you should've come over...
'Cause it's not too late...

I feel too young to hold on
I'm much too old to break free and run
Too deaf, dumb, and blind
To see the damage I've done
Sweet lover, you should've come over
Oh, love I waited for you

Lover, you should've come over
'Cause it's not too late...

Well, I've seen this thread here for so long but never had anything to contribute. Heard a song today by Lifehouse and I thought of the situation Willow's in now with Tara. So, anywho, don't know if it's been mentioned here or not, cause it's a damn long thread and no time to read 'em all...

Sick Cycle Carousel By Lifehouse

if shame had a face i think it would kind of look like mine
if it had a home would it be my eyes would you believe me
if i said i am tired of this now here we go one more time
i tried to climb your steps i tried to chase you down
i tried to see how low i could get down to the ground
i tried to earn my way i tried to change this mind
you better believe i tried to beat this
when will this end it goes on and on and over and over and over again
keep spinning around i know it won't stop till i step down from this for good
i never thought i'd end up here i never thought i'd be standing
where i am i guess i kind of thought it would be easier than this
i guess i was wrong now one more
time this is a sick cycle carousel this is a sick cycle, yeah

I have a few. Me being a broadway nut...I think "Without You" from 'RENT' really sounds like a Willow/Tara song. (There actually are two lesbians in 'RENT', but they're always fighting -- so I thought this sounded more appropriate.)

Without You
MIMI
Without You
The Ground Thaws
The Rain Falls
The Grass Grows

Without You
The Seeds Root
The Flowers Bloom
The Children Play

The Stars Gleam
The Eagles Fly
Without You

The Earth Turns
The Sun Burns
But I Die
Without You

Without You
The Breeze Warms
The Girls Smiles
The Cloud Moves

Without You
The Tides Change
The Oceans Crash

The Crowd Roars
The Days Soar
The Babies Cry
Without You

The Moon Glows
The River Flows
But I Die
Without You

ROGER
The World Revives

MIMI
Colors Renew

BOTH
But I Know
Only Blue
Lonely Blue
Within Me, Blue
Without You

MIMI
Without You
The Hand Gropes
The Ear Hears
The Pulse Beats

ROGER
Without You
The Eyes Gaze
The Legs Walk
The Lungs Breathe

BOTH
The Mind Churns
The Heart Yearns
The Tears Dry
Without You

Life Goes On
But I'm Gone
Cause I Die

ROGER
Without You

MIMI
Without You

ROGER
Without You

BOTH
Without You

The next two that remind me of them is are from Scarlet Pimpernell. The first is called "You Are My Home", and the second is called "She Was There"

You Are My Home
There is a child inside my heart tonight
No one can see that child but you
If I hold on to you too tight, you understand
You hold me too
You are the one who reaches through the dark
When I'm afraid, you warm the air
And, when I close my eyes to sleep
You are my peace, you are my prayer
You are my home
You make me strong
And in this world of strangers
I belong to someone
You are all I know
You're all I have
I won't let go

Others may leave, but you will still be there
Touching the tears that fill my eyes
When I am lost, you are my light
You are the love that never dies
You are my home
You make me strong
And in this world of strangers
I belong to someone
You are all I know
You're all I have
I need you so

I will not walk away from you!
I will not let you go!
You're the only home I'll ever know
You are my home
You make me strong
And in this world of strangers
I belong to someone
You are all I know
You're all I have
I need you so
I won't let go
You are my home

She Was There
So many nights I have stood in the moonlight
Watching it fade with the dawn
Wanting her back with me, warm in the moonlight
Knowing that moment was gone
Out of mind, out of sight,
Till the moon rose ronight
All at once, I felt a chill
In a spill of moonlight, she was there
Though we both held very still
There was something pulling in the air
When she whispered through the dark
I tried hard to hold my ground
I believed I had a choice
Till the music in her voice
Turned my whole world around

I would like to understand
But the stars and I begin to blur
If she never touched my hand
Then what filled me with the feel of her?
In between us stood a wall
In a flash it fell apart
Is it possible she heard
Every last unspoken word
Racing out of my heart?
She never turned to me, but suddenly
We had so much to share!
I never took her in my arms, but she was there
Oh, she was there!

No, I never pulled her in
Still her tenderness was everywhere
Oh, she slipped beneath my skin
Just as if she'd always been right there
Has she been there all along?
Was I too far gone to know?
What a fool I must have been
For how could I pull her in
When I've never let her go?

------------------
I'm under your spell, nothing I can do -- you just took my soul with you. You worked your charm so well, finally I knew everything I dreamed was true. You make me believe.

Songs that remind us of W/T

Postby Nat » Tue Jan 29, 2002 2:55 pm

This thread is HUGE now! I think taht there are 1001 songs that remind me of Willow & Tara (might have something to do with having them on my mind alot of the time!)
ANYWAYS i have a few songs that remind me of them but i'l post this one for now.
Its by a group called Eternal, the groups broken up now tho! Its from 1994 but it so reminds me of them . I guess it will be good for the the Getting back together that were all waiting for, or the Cute & Fuzzy moments with them in!
I am making a wallpaper & a music vid with this song on so a hope you all like it!

Oh Baby I By Eternal

I feel the touch of your hand, and i understand, how much I need your love.
You, have given me wings, and i can do things, I've never dreamed of.
And i promise
For as long as we're together, I will cherish this everlasting love.

Oh baby I need you so,
You know that i can't let go,
Always and Forever,
I just want you to know,
I wanna be where you are,
No matter how near or far,
And i wanna be, the only one, who can open the door to your heart.

Oh baby i, oh baby i , oh baby i, oh baby I.

All your secrets I'll keep ,there safe here with me, my arms will comfort you.
There'll be no river to wide, no mountain to high, my heart will follow you.
I'll go anywhere
For as long as were together, I will cherish this everlasting love.

Oh baby i need you so,
You know that i cant let go,
Always and Forever,
I just want you to know,
I wanna be where you are,
No matter how near or far,
And i wanna be ,the only one, who can open the door to your heart.

Oh baby I, oh baby i , oh baby i, oh baby i,

There maybe times some rain will fall, but i wont mind it ,if you here with me.
Oh we'll get by ,and throught it all, we'll have all of the love that we need.
Together you and me.

I'll go anywhere
For as long as we're together,
I will cherish, this everlasting love.
Everlasting Love.

Oh baby i need you so,
You know that i cant let go,
Always & forever,
I just want you to know,
I wanna be where you are,
No matter how near or far ,
And i wanna be ,the only one, who can open the door.
Oh baby i need you so, together our love will grow
Always & forever,
I just want you to know,
I wanna be where you are,
No matter how near or far,
And i wanna be the the only one who can open the door to your heart.

I wanna be the one,
Baby let me be the one,
Open the door,
I wanna be the one,
Oh Baby i,
Baby let me be the one,
Open the door,
I wanna be the one,
Oh Baby I.

I hope you all liked it!

Willow ;I had too much nog.

Tara ;Oh, baby, want me to rub your tummy? She likes it when i......stop explaining things.

Yeesh, mollyig...make me cry in public, why don't you. That's really a beautiful song, and quite appropriate. I think I'll have to find a version myself.

It's a great pleasure to find another Katell fan here--but not really a suprise, given that the Kitties have such fine taste. I love both her albums; Jet in particular is probably among my top ten records. I would post the lyrics to "There You Go" as a W/T song, but I can't recall them all right now...but how about

All in all, I love you dearly
I love you now, all in all
All things said and done, I love you darling
Is that enough?

Sigh. You really have to hear the way she sings it.

Oh, and I always thought she was Irish, but Katell herself says she is "Breton/Welsh."quote:

yay for us Katell-lurvers, Dazey!

kind of strange for me, thinking of "There You Go" as a W/T song... i keep thinking that it is about Jeff Buckley... but the line "a miracle, that's what you are"... oh dear.

anyway, you put a big smile on my face at 6:10am, girl : )

"Willow weep for me" has been covered by a few people I think, but Nina Simone's version is wonderful. God, that woman's voice does something to me!

Sorry for making you cry, Dazey

"The One" Byary Allan

No rush
though I need your touch
I won't rush your heart
until you feel
on solid ground
until your strength is found
girl
I'll fill those canyons
in your soul
like a river
lead you whole
and I'll walk a step behind
in the shadow so you shine
just ask it will be done
and I will prove my love
until your sure that I'm the one
somebody else was here before
he treated you unkind
broken wings
need time to heal
before a heart can fly
girl
I'll fill those canyons
in your soul
like a river
lead you whole
and I'll walk a step behind
in the shadow so you shine
just ask it will be done
and I will prove my love
until your sure that I'm the one
trust in me
and you'll find
a heart so true
all I wanna do is
give the best of me to you
and stand beside you
just ask it will be done
and I will prove me love
until your sure that I'm the one

Postby ArtemisEcstasy » Sat Feb 02, 2002 7:20 am

Well I picked the song that I did for my .sig because it made me think of the first time Willow saw Tara in "Hush", the way her hair hung over her face and she was just peering out of it. The full lyrics are relative too:

She Says by Ani DiFranco

she says forget what you have to do
pretend there is nothing
outside this room
and like an idea she came to me
but she came too late
or maybe too soon
i said please try not to love me
close your eyes, i'm turning on the light
you know i have no vacancy
and it's awfully cold outside tonight

the rain stains the brick a darker red
slowly i'm rolling out of her bed
the rain stains the streets a darker black
i dress my face in stone
because i can't go back

i feel her eyes watching me
from behind the curtain of her hair
and she says i'm sorry
i didn't mean to stare
i say i think i really have to go now
but oh baby, maybe someday
maybe somehow.
--
::sigh:: that song totally gets me everytime. I really wish Ani played more of her old stuff in concert now.

BTW, thanks to everyone who mentioned Katell Keineg. I'd always loved Natalie Merchant's cover of "Gulf of Araby" and this reminded me to try to get the original. I just d/l it and am listening right now. It's interesting that people have also mentioned Nina Simone, since something about Katell's voice reminds me of her. They both have this worldliness about their voices, not conventionally "pretty" but very distinct. I'm sure I'll have a million more song ideas later, I soundtrack my own life, why not my favorite fictional characters! Heh.

Songs that remind us of W/T

Postby willow420 » Sat Feb 02, 2002 1:34 pm

This song, sung by Kate Winslet(mmmm)makes me think of something Tara might sing to Willow. I've changed a few of the male references though.

What If

Here I stand alone
With this weight upon my heart
And it will not go away
In my head I keep on looking back
Right back to the start
Wondering what it was that made you change

Well I tried
But I had to draw the line
And still this question keeps on spinning in my mind

What if I had never let you go
Would you be the (wo)man I used to know
If I'd stayed
If you'd tried
If we could only turn back time
But I guess we'll never know

Many roads to take
Some to joy
Some to heart-ache
Anyone can lose their way
And if I said that we could turn it back
Right back to the start
Would you take the chance and make the change

Do you think how it would have been sometimes
Do you pray that I'd never left your side

What if I had never let you go
Would you be the (wo)man I used to know
If I'd stayed
If you'd tried
If we could only turn back time
But I guess we'll never know

If only we could turn the hands of time
If I could take you back would you still be mine

'Cos I tried
But I had to draw the line
And still this question keep on spinning in my mind

What if I had never let you go
Would you be the (wo)man I used to know
What if I had never walked away
'Cos I still love you more than I can say
If I'd stayed
If you'd tried
If we could only turn back time
But I guess we'll never know
We'll never know

Songs that remind us of W/T

I don't know if this song has been covered, but in the movie A Walk to Remember, Mandy Moore sings the song "Only Hope". It's a really amazing song, and if you get a chance, I would buy the soundtrack. I think it's perfect for W/T.

"There's a song that's inside of my soul.
It's the one that I've tried to write over and over again.
I'm awake in the infinite cold.
But you sing to me over and over and over again

So I lay my head back down.
And I lift my hands and pray,
To be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I know now you're my only hope

Sing to me the song of the stars
Of your galaxy dancing and laughing and laughing again
When it feels like my dreams are so far
Sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again

So I lay my head back down.
And I lift my hands and pray,
To be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I know now you're my only hope

I give you my destiny
I'm giving you all of me
I want your symphony
Singing in all that I am!
At the top of my lungs
I'm giving it ba-ck!

So I lay my head back down.
And I lift my hands and pray
To be only yours,
I pray to be only yours,
I pray to be only yours,
I know now you're my only hope"

------------------
"You can not have more catnip! You have a catnip problem!"

Tara: O-ou-our relationship?
Willow: We're friends.
Tara: Good friends.
Willow: Girlfriends, actually.
Tara: Yes, we're girlfriends.
Willow: We're in love. We're... lovers. Lesbian, gay-type lovers.

There is a really rockin' song (god...did i just write that?) by a Melbourne act "The Avalanches" called "Since I left You." It's kinda dancey...but in that good way.

It's awesome. I'd write the lyrics, but there is really only one: "Since I left you, I've found the world so blue".

Reminds me of tara :-(

This is a song from Indigo Girls' new album "Become You", which will be released next month. I've been listening to mp3s I got of most of the tracks on the album, and the first time I heard this song I thought of Willow and Tara.

You've got to show - Emily Saliers

Yes its true, I've gotten very moody over you.
Don't think I don't sense your caution way across the room
Or across the phone lines big black ocean, conversation brief
We can't find a clear connection and I can't get relief

Why don't we both agree, we're both afraid and too afraid to say
If I said count to three, move towards me, would you meet me half way.
There are a thousand things about me I want only you to know,
But I can't go there alone, you've got to show.

While you occupy me, I command my dreams each day
To bring you in me, even thinly, as the morning chases you away.
I half believe if I just picture us we will come true.
Wishful thinking or my hopes sinking half depends on you.

Why don't we both agree, we're both afraid and too afraid to say
If I said count to three, move towards me, would you meet me half way.
There are a thousand things about me I want only you to know,
But I can't go there alone, you've got to show me

You are fully alive, if you want to fly take this dive
If you want to kiss, kiss for real, I'll give you back everything you feel
Drive and space, that peaceful place, you'd be my secret sharer
Front and back and all around the thin margin of error.

Ah move to fast, or move to slow, or somewhere in between
Or navigate your perfect distance your get away is clean.

Why don't we both agree, we're both afraid and too afraid to say
If I said count to three, move towards me, would you meet me half way.
There are a thousand things about you I want only me to know,
But I can't go there alone, you've got to show.

Now that I know there's something to know, I can't *not* know, just because I'm afraid
somebody'll know I know, you know?

Songs that remind us of W/T

I was driving to work today ... and of course I was thinking of Dead Things and the meeting at the magic box and this came on the country station... It made me think of W/T and then after reading the lyrics I could just see Willow thinking these things...What do you think???

Here you go

TRACY BYRD LYRICS

Just Let Me Be In Love
(Tony Martin/Mark Nesler/Tom Shapiro)

My Breath is short My Heart is Beating fast
Everytime I smile at her she's smiling back
If I'm dreaming please just let me sleep
Anyone can see she's too good for me
Oh, give it time, She'll Find out soon enough
Just let me have and hold her till she does

What we've got going on is So incredible
This chemistry between us feels so wonderful
But knowing me I'll probably
Find a way to mess it up
Who knows, who cares, right now
Just let me be in love

Don't concern me with reality
Don't convince me she's too heavenly
Get the future disregard the past
Those are questions i don't wanna ask
To my heart, All that matters is tonight
Just let me live this moment in her eyes

What we've got going on is So incredible
This chemistry between us feels so wonderful
But knowing me I'll probably
Find a way to mess it up
Who knows, who cares, right now
Just let me be in love

What we've got going on is So incredible
This chemistry between us feels so wonderful
But knowing me I'll probably
Find a way to mess it up
Who knows, who cares, right now
Just let me be in love

Here's an optimistic ditty to add to the books.

Originally done John Hiatt (I believe) but I prefer Jewel's rendition.

Have a little faith in me

When the road gets dark
and you can no longer see
let my love throw a spark
have a little faith in me

when the tears you cry
are all you can believe
give these loving arms a try baby
have a little faith in me

have a little faith in me
have a little faith in me
have a little faith in me
have a little faith in me

when your secret heart
cannot speak so easily
from a whisper start
to have a little faith in me

when you back's against the wall
just turn around and you will see
I will catch your fall
just have a little faith in me

have a little faith in me
have a little faith in me
have a little faith in me
have a little faith in me

I've been loving you for such a long time
expecting nothing in return
just for you to have a little faith in me
you see time, time is our friend
all you got to do is
have a little faith in me
I will hold you up, I will hold you up
your love gives me strength enough
all you got to do is
have a little faith in me.

Oh,I loved "Have a little faith in me" in the movie Benny and Joon! Remember that one?

"You can not have more catnip! You have a catnip problem!"

Tara: O-ou-our relationship?
Willow: We're friends.
Tara: Good friends.
Willow: Girlfriends, actually.
Tara: Yes, we're girlfriends.
Willow: We're in love. We're... lovers. Lesbian, gay-type lovers.

Here's another one. Been listening to this one a lot lately.

Paul Young - Come Back and Stay

Since you've been gone
I shut my eyes and I fantasize
that you're here with me
Will you ever return?
I won't be satisfied till you're by my side
Don't wait any longer...
Why don't you come back?
Please hurry,
Why don't you come back?
Please hurry...
Come back and stay for good this time
Come back and stay for good this time

You said goodbye
I was trying to hide
what I felt inside
until you passed me by
You said you'd return
You said that you'd be mine
till the end of time
Don't wait any longer!

Since you've been gone...
Opened my eyes
and I realize
what we had together
Will you ever return?
I'll have you change your mind
If you won't stay mine
Just love me forever!
Love me forever...

Why don't you come back,
Please hurry, why don't you come back?
Please hurry, why don't you come back?
Please hurry, why don't you come back?
Please hurry, why don't you come back?
Please hurry!
Come back and stay for good this time
Come back and stay for good this time
Come back and stay for good this time
Come back and stay for good this time
Don't ever leave me...

Lenny Kravitz
Stillness of Heart

I'm out here on the street
There's no one left to meet
The things that were so sweet
No longer move my feet
But I keep trying
I keep on trying

All that I want is
Stillness of heart
So I can start
To find my way
Out of the dark
And into your heart

I got more than I can eat
A life that can't be beat
Yet still I feel this heat
I'm feeling incomplete
What am I buying?
My soul is crying

All that I want is
Stillness of heart
So I can start
To find my way
Out of the dark
And into your heart

Where's the love?
What is this world we live in?
Where's the love ?
We've got to keep on giving
Where's the love ?
What happened to forgiving ?
Anyone ?

All that I want is
Stillness of heart
So I can start
To find my way
Out of the dark
And into your heart

Oh, uh, mollyig . . . where'd you get those MP3s? *batting eyes in an utterly ridiculous yet game attempt, 'cause gods know I look stupid doing this but hell, I'm trying!*

The "Wrecked" scene with Willow and the puffy Tara dress reminds me of an old country song recently covered by the Dixie Chicks.

Loving Arms (Tom Jans)

If you could see me now
The one who said that she'd rather roam
The one who said she'd rather be alone
If you could only see me now

If I could hold you now
Just for a moment, if I could really make you mine
Just for a while, turn back the hands of time
If I could only hold you now

I've been too long in the wind
Too long in the rain
Taking any comfort that I can
Looking back and longing for the freedom of my chains
Lying in your loving arms again

If you could hear me now
Singing somewhere through the lonely nights
Dreaming of the arms that held me tight
If you could only hear me now

I've been too long in the wind
Too long in the rain
Taking any comfort that I can
Looking back and longing for the freedom of my chains
Lying in your loving arms again

I can almost feel your loving arms again . . .

This thread will run and run,

Just been listening to one of my favourites and thought this was kinda appropriate for what Tara was going through as she wrestled with Willows addiction, and when she had to leave, for her own sake

Bless the weather - John Martyn

Time after time I held it
just to watch it die

Lie after lie I loved it
just to watch it cry

Bless the weather that brought you to me
curse the storm that takes you away

Wave after wave I watched it
just to watch it drown

Day after day I cooled it
just to watch it burn

Bless the weather that brought you to me
curse the storm that takes you home

Pain after pain I stood it
just to see how it would feel

Rain after rain I stood it
just to make it real

Bless the weather that brought you to me
curse the storm that takes you away

There are many many more by John Martyn which would fit any Will / Tara situation.
