Songs that remind us of W/T

Postby greatluna » Fri Dec 21, 2001 1:53 am

so we went to the movies and saw "He Died with a Felafel In His Hand". the soundtrack includes an awesome awesome awesome version of The Cars' "Drive" as performed by Paradise Motel. i rewatched both Tabula Rasa and Wrecked in the wake of this musical (re)discovery and couldn't get the song out of my head, found the lyrics were very fitting. to both T & W, in a way:

who's gonna tell you when
it's too late
who's gonna tell you things
aren't so great

you can't go on
thinking nothing's wrong
who's gonna drive you home tonight

who's gonna pick you up
when you fall
who's gonna hang it up
when you call
who's gonna pay attention
to your dreams
who's gonna plug their ears
when you scream

you can't go on
thinking nothing's wrong
who's gonna drive you home tonight

who's gonna hold you down
when you shake
who's gonna come around
when you break

you can't go on
thinking nothing's wrong
who's gonna drive you home tonight
you know you can't go on
thinking nothing's wrong
who's gonna drive you home tonight

U Got It Bad by Usher always takes me back to The I In Team.

Oh, no, no, no, no, no...

When you feel it in your body
You found somebody who makes you change your ways
Like hanging with your crew
Said you act like you're ready
But you don't really know
And everything in your past - you wanna let it go

I've been there, done it, fucked around
After all that - this is what I found
Nobody wants to be alone
If you're touched by the words in this song
Then baby...

1 - U got, u got it bad
When you're on the phone
Hang up and you call right back
U got, u got it bad
If you miss a day without your friend
Your whole life's off track
You know you got it bad when you're stuck in the house
You don't wanna have fun
It's all you think about
U got it bad when you're out with someone
But you keep on thinkin' bout somebody else
U got it bad

When you say that you love 'em
And you really know
Everything that used to matter, don't matter no more
Like my money, all my cars
(You can have it all back)
Flowers, cards and candy
(I do it just cause I'm...)
Said I'm fortunate to have you girl
I want you to know
I really adore you
All my people who know what's going on
Look at your mate, help me sing my song
Tell her I'm your man, you're my girl
I'm gonna tell it to the whole wide world
Ladies say I'm your girl, you're my man
Promise to love you the best I can

See I've been there, done it, fucked around
After all that - this is what I found
Everyone of y'all are just like me
It's too bad that you can't see
That you got it bad...hey

Repeat 1

Repeat 1 fade out

Take Away by Missy Elliott makes me think of T/W especially now. You could easily change parts of this:

Take away, your gold and platinum chains
(and I'm gonna love you baby)
Cause I'm gon' love, love you anyway
(I ain't in it for the cheddar baby)
I'm not in it for, for the love of cash
(oh no no, you might go broke, but I'm)
Cause if you go broke, I gotta make it last
(not goin nowhere, nowhere, nowhere..)

to things about spells and magic.

The People That We Love (Speed Kills) by Bush and Save Me by Remy Zero make me think of Willow in Smashed and Wrecked.

Mourning by Tantric always makes me cry and I can sorta see this coming from Tara's perspective.

There's this song " By Your Side " by SADE

You think I'd leave your side baby?
You know me better than that
You think I'd leave down when your down on your knees?
I wouldn't do that

I'll do you right when your wrong
I-----ohhh, ohhh

If only you could see into me

oh, when your cold
I'll be there to hold you tight to me
When your on the outside baby and you can't get in
I will show you, your so much better than you know
When your lost, when your alone and you can't get back again
I will find you darling I'll bring you home

If you want to cry
I am here to dry your eyes
and in no time you'll be fine...

*_*

Kind of remind me of our famous line " I'll always find you " and " This is the room where you don't have to be brave. I still love you"

They'll find each other....*lost in happy thoughts*

first off, let me say that the kittens have excellent taste in music! And two Nields fans!! Are you Nookers as well?? I am. And Toriphiles... and Chantal, and Tegan and Sara, and Bjork... ohh, such good music!

Someone should make a mix of all these songs... a WillTara love mix. It would be so cute!

personally, I think Chantal Kreviazuk's Green Apples is so beautiful and just right for Willow and Tara.

If this song has already been posted then I'm sorry, if it hasn't then here you go:

"I Turn To You" by Christina Aguilera.

When I'm lost in the rain
In my eyes I know I'll find the light
To light my way
And when I'm scared and losing ground
When my world is going crazy
You can turn it all around.

And when I'm down you're there
Pushing me to the top
You're always there giving me all you've got.

For a shield from the storm
For a friend, for a love
To keep me safe and warm
I turn to you
For the strength to be strong
For the will to carry on
For everything you do
For everthing that's true
I turn to you.

When I lose the will to win,
I just reach for you and
I can reach the sky again
I can do anything
Cause you love is so amazing
Cause you love inspires me.

And when I need a friend
You're always on my side
Giving me faith
That gets me through the night.

For a shield from the storm
For a friend, for a love
To keep me safe and warm
I turn to you
For the strength to be strong
For the will to carry on
For everything you do
For everything that's true
I turn to you.

Fro the arms to be my shelter
Through the all the rain,
For truth that will never change,
For someone to lean on,
For a heart I can rely on through anything
For the one who I can run to.....

For a shield from the storm
For a friend, for a love
To keep me safe and warm
I turn to you.
For the strength to be strong
For the will to carry on
For everything you do
For everything that's true
I turn to you

For a shield from the storm
For a friend, for a love
To keep me safe and warm
I turn to you.
For the strength to be strong
For the will to carry on
For everything you do
For everything that's true
I turn to you
I turn to you......

Songs that remind us of W/T

Postby Dazey » Wed Dec 26, 2001 2:10 am

The mention of Sade's "By Your Side" reminded me of something. There's a song from the musical Godspell called "By My Side" and...okay wait...see when I was younger my mom used to direct and choreograph lots of high school plays and my sister and I would get dragged to all the rehearsals...musta seen 52 different productions of West Side Story in my time...and once she was doing Godspell and I was probably 12 or 13 and I developed a major crush on one of the girls in the show. Which pretty much happened with every show my mom did, but anyway I still remember this girl very distinctly. And in the show she sang "By My Side" which is a really beautiful song and she sang it really beautifully and I was soooo in love with her and I just wept every time she sang it.

Anyway Amber's voice, particularly on "Under Your Spell" reminded me a lot of this girl's and when I first heard "UYS" I kept thinking that I wanted Amber to be in a production of Godspell and to sing "By My Side". Which somehow I doubt is going to happen. But what the hell, I can post the lyrics, because they do sort of remind me of W/T.

By My Side

Where are you going? Where are you going?
Can you take me with you?
For my hand is cold and needs warmth.
Where are you going?

Far beyond where the horizon lies,
where the horizon lies,
and the land sinks into mellow blueness
Oh, please take me with you.

Let me skip the road with you
I can dare myself, I can dare myself.
I'll put a pebble in my shoe,
and watch me walk.
I can walk and walk.

I shall call the pebble Dare
We will talk together about walking.
Dare shall be carried,
and when we both have had enough
I will take him from my shoe,
singing, "Meet your new road."

Then I'll take your hand
finally glad that you are here
by my side.
By My Side
By My Side
that you are here, by my side.

I think Everything and more by Krezip. Just thought of it.

when the aching is over i hope we can talk again
i hope that you'll understand me
i wonder if i ever will, yeah

i'm now searching for a better way
something that makes me feel good about myself, yeah
i hope some day we'll laugh about it all and then everything turns out to be alright, yeah

i wish i could tell you all
i hope that we'll both be wise, hey baby
just wish it wouldn't give this pain
and that it wasn't my fault, no

and that i could help you out, baby ('cause you still remember)
'cause i still remember everything (that i could help you out, everything).

the clock's still ticking
your heart's still beating so there probably will be love again
but i can feel the aching don't care for what reason
but i'd rather see you smiling

i'm now searching for a better way
something that makes me feel good about myself, yeah
i hope some day we'll laugh about it all and then everything turns out to be alright, yeah

i wish i could tell you all
i hope that we'll both be wise, hey baby
just wish it wouldn't give this pain
and that it wasn't my fault, no
and that i could help you out, baby ('cause you still remember)
'cause i still remember everything (that i could help you out, everything)

baby, you're not the only one that gives a damn
there are too many reasons for me to understand
but it takes us, baby, furtherway
to start out as two, baby, yeah

i wish i could tell you all
i hope that we'll both be wise
both be wise, hey baby
just wish it wouldn't give this pain
and that it wasn't my fault, no

that i could help you out, baby ('cause you still remember)
'cause i still remember everything (that i could help you out, everything)
that i could help you out, hey baby ('cause you still remember)
'cause i still remember everything (that i could help you out, everything)

and then especially the part "the clock's still ticking your heart is still beating so there probably will be love again" )

Songs that remind us of W/T

Postby juri-sempai » Wed Dec 26, 2001 6:02 pm

First of all: Yay Dazey!! Godspell song!

I have two songs. Both sung by my favorite band, The Bangles.

ETERNAL FLAME

Close your eyes, give me your hand, darling
Do you feel my heart beating
Do you understand
Do you feel the same
Am I only dreaming
is this burning an eternal flame

I believe it's meant to be, darling
I watch you when you are sleeping
You belong with me
Do you feel the same
Am I only dreaming
Or is this burning an eternal flame

Say my name... sun shines through the rain
A whole life so lonely
And then you come and ease the pain
I don't want to lose this feeling

SOME DREAMS COME TRUE

I've seen the shadows fall
colors that fade on my wall
Dressed up nowhere to go
It's all in my mind I know

But it's alright now
We're on our way

Lay me down in the moonlight
so close to you
Maybe we're just dreamers
Some dreams come true

Lips move but not a sound
When the words fall to the ground
Eyes watch but seldom see
The possibilities

But it's alright now
We're on our way

Lay me down in the moonlight
so close to you
Maybe we're just dreamers
Some dreams come true
When we're together
There's nothing we can't do
Maybe we're just dreamers
Some dreams come true

Moving in circles that we create
Seeing whatever we choose
Hear only voices that call your name

------------------
"Believe in miracles, that they will know your
true feelings."

"Big day. I got places to be, big day. Need a brain."

Songs that remind us of W/T

Postby dirtgirl » Wed Dec 26, 2001 8:28 pm

okay, I'm new, but I love this thread so I had to post.
I've been listening to this song by lipkandy called Everyday Smile and it always makes me think of W/T for some reason:

her everyday smile's on my mind
her everyday clothes right on time

this town's so small everyone I know every thought's just a stone's throw

her everyday smile floats on by
her everyday clothes suit me fine

this town's so small
everyone I know,every thought's just a stone's throw

her everyday smile fills my mind
her everyday clothes take my time

this town's so small
everyone I know, every thought's just a stone's throw away
I know you're fast, I take things too slow, you say we'll take things as we go...

her everyday smile
tastes just fine

it just sounds like something Tara would sing to Willow (or would have sung to Willow) sad and sweet and dreamy...
anyway, their CD's kinda hard to find, but you can download the mp3 from their site for free www.lipkandy.com

thanks for the inspiration everybody!

Ok, I haven't actually sen any of season S6, but being around, there are things that I've inevitably picked up on. Anyhoo, I'm listenning to Sarah McLachlan right now and somehow she reminded me of Wendy Matthews and this song The day you went away. Anyway, it reminded me of Willow and Tara.

The day you went away
by Wendy Matthews

Hey, does it ever make you wonder what's on my mind?
I, I was only ver running back to your side.
I never cried, I just watched my life go by.
It's just a pack of lies,
'Cause you're leaving me behind.

Why - after this long is there nothing I'll keep?
Oh I can shout,
You'll pretend you're falling asleep.
I live a lie, yeah, believing that you're mine
It's just a waste of time
Cause you're leaving me behind.

Hey, there's not a cloud in the sky,
It's as blue as your goodbye
And I thought that it would rain
On a day like today
Hey there's not a cloud in sight
It's as blue as your blue goodbye
and I thought that it would rain
The Day You Went Away...

He's on the buses, and the aereoplanes
With some groceries and a sleeping bag...

This song hasn't so much a literal allusion to Willow and Tara, but it's more the feeling it evokes. I've printed it here unchanged, but change the Terry/"hated him..." etc, if it makes it easier. I took it on a more metaphorical basis, anyway. It's just the feel that has always captured me - the intensity.

Backstreets
(from Born To Run - B. Springsteen)

One soft infested summer
Me and Terry became friends
Trying in vain to breathe
The fire we was born in
Catching rides to the outskirts
Tying faith between our teeth
Sleeping in that old abandoned beach house
Getting wasted in the heat
And hiding on the backstreets
Hiding on the backstreets
With a love so hard and filled with defeat
Running for our lives at night on them backstreets

Slow dancing in the dark
On the beach at Stockton's Wing
Where despirate lovers park
We sat with the last of the Duke Street Kings
Huddled in our cars
Waiting for the bells that ring
In the deep heart of the night
We let loose of everything
To go running on the backstreets
Running on the backstreets
Terry you swore we'd live forever
Taking it on them backstreets together

Endless juke joints and Valentino drag
Where famous dancers scraped the tears
Up off the street dressed down in rags
Running into the darkness
Some hurt some really dying
At night sometimes it seemed
You could hear the whole damn city crying
Blame it on the lies that killed us
Blame it on the truth that ran us down
You can blame it all on me Terry
It don't matter to me now
When the breakdown hit at midnight
There was nothing left to say
But I hated him
And I hated you when you went away

Laying here in the dark
You're like an angel on my chest
Just another tramp of hearts
Crying tears of faithlessness
Remember all the movies, Terry
We'd go see
Trying to learn to walk like the heroes
We thought we had to be
Well after all this time
To find we're just like all the rest
Stranded in the park
And forced to confess
To hiding on the backstreets
Hiding on the backstreets
Where we swore forever friends
On the backstreets until the end
Hiding on the backstreets
Hiding on the backstreets ...

I wish, I just wish I could write songs a tenth as good as this. I've always taken it as a song about love being unable to conquer our inner demons - whatever they are - and I guess (from what I gather about S6) - Willow is battling with a few inner demons, ie, through her use of magic. Anyway, I thought of this song.

Sorry if this has already been posted but 'I Knew I Loved You' by Savage Garden has always reminded me of Willow and Tara.

Maybe it's intuition
But some things you just don't question
Like in your eyes
I see my future in an instant
And there it goes
I think I've found my best friend
I know that it might sound more than a little crazy
But I believe

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

There's just no rhyme or reason
Only the sense of completion
And in your eyes
I see the missing pieces
I'm searching for
I think I've found my best friend

I know that it might sound more than a little crazy
But I believe

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

A thousand angels dance around you
I am complete now that I've found you

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

------------------
"YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. ALL OF YOU. Just for being."

"Love yourself for who you are, not what others THINK you should look like. It's DEFINATELY more imprtant in this life to love eachother despite our imperfections."

Ok i just thought of another one. I think this is from Tara's POV.

Ten Sharp - You

It's alright with me as long as you are by my side,
talk or just say nothing, I don't mind your looks never lie.
I was always on the run, finding out what I was looking for and
I was always insecure, just until I found

Words often don't come easy, I never loved to show you the inside of me oh no my baby
You were always patience, dragging out what I tried to hide

I was always on the run, finding out what I was looking for and
I was always insecure, just until I found
You you were always on my mind, you, you're the one I'm living for
You, you're my everlasting fire, you're my always shining star. You're my allways

Nights always are good friends, a glass of wine and the lights down low.
You lying beside me, me full of love and filled with hope

You you were always on my mind, you, you're the one I'm living for
You, you're my everlasting fire, you're my always shining star. Allways on my mind. you, you're the one i`m living for, you, you're my everlasting fire, you're my always shining star.

I know this song was used in an early BTVS episode, but can't seem to recall what it was. 'Tis a luvly song though.

Let The Sun Fall Down

Written by Kim Richey & Neal Coty

Close the door and leave the world behind you
Open the window and listen to the breeze blow through the pines
Take a deep breath, what more can you do

CHORUS:
(Oh) Let the sun fall down all around you
Let the night surround you in a blanket of starlight
I'll whisper you a lullaby
Let the sun fall down

That old dark cloud acts like he knows you
He takes up too much time, time you could be spending holding me
But he can't have you now
It's you and me here in this room

(repeat chorus)

The world will keep on turning
It'll all be there come morning
So tonight

(repeat chorus twice)

Drive You Home

It's funny how
Even now
You still support me after all the things that I've done
You're so good to me
Waiting patiently
And isn't it sad that you still have to ask if I care?

I never said I was perfect
But I can take you away

Walk on shells tonight
Can't do right tonight
And you can't say the word
Cause I leap down your throat
So uptight am I

I never said I was perfect
But I can drive you home

I got down on myself
Working too hard
Driving myself to death
Trying to beat up the faults in my head
What a mess I've made
Sure we all make mistakes
But they see me so large that they think I'm immune to the pain

Walk on shells tonight
Can't do right tonight
And you can't say the word
cause I leap down your throat
So uptight am I

I'm praying for a miracle
But I won't hold my breath
I never said I was perfect
But can you take me home

Breaking Up The Girl

In a modern culture
My friend you must be careful
They've a million ways to kill you
In this dangerous world
There’s an art to growing old
Taking chances
Magic happens

One mistake's all it takes
And your life has come undone
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl
It's a drag
I know it's hard
But you're tearing her apart
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl

I am afraid that there's much to be afraid of
Here today and gone tomorrow
Don't end up in the gutter
Just like the one before
You're just the same
Such a loser

One mistake's all it takes
And your life has come undone
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl
It's a drag
I know it's hard
But you're tearing her apart
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl

You've got to let her go because you're breaking up
Girl
Girl
One mistake's all it takes
And your life has come undone
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl
It's a drag
I know it's hard
But you're tearing her apart
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl
Breaking up the girl
Breaking up the girl

Hey Wolfie, it's interesting that you brought up "Backstreets" (which is a great song from what I think will always be Springsteen's greatest album, though "Thunder Road" is my fave) because my friend and former bandmate Jessica insists that it's about homosexual love. Which has never been my reading, but she makes a strong argument. (She also named her band Valentino Drag.)

This song hasn't so much a literal allusion to Willow and Tara, but it's more the feeling it evokes. I've printed it here unchanged, but change the Terry/"hated him..." etc, if it makes it easier. I took it on a more metaphorical basis, anyway. It's just the feel that has always captured me - the intensity.

Backstreets
(from Born To Run - B. Springsteen)

One soft infested summer
Me and Terry became friends
Trying in vain to breathe
The fire we was born in
Catching rides to the outskirts
Tying faith between our teeth
Sleeping in that old abandoned beach house
Getting wasted in the heat
And hiding on the backstreets
Hiding on the backstreets
With a love so hard and filled with defeat
Running for our lives at night on them backstreets

Slow dancing in the dark
On the beach at Stockton's Wing
Where despirate lovers park
We sat with the last of the Duke Street Kings
Huddled in our cars
Waiting for the bells that ring
In the deep heart of the night
We let loose of everything
To go running on the backstreets
Running on the backstreets
Terry you swore we'd live forever
Taking it on them backstreets together

Endless juke joints and Valentino drag
Where famous dancers scraped the tears
Up off the street dressed down in rags
Running into the darkness
Some hurt some really dying
At night sometimes it seemed
You could hear the whole damn city crying
Blame it on the lies that killed us
Blame it on the truth that ran us down
You can blame it all on me Terry
It don't matter to me now
When the breakdown hit at midnight
There was nothing left to say
But I hated him
And I hated you when you went away

Laying here in the dark
You're like an angel on my chest
Just another tramp of hearts
Crying tears of faithlessness
Remember all the movies, Terry
We'd go see
Trying to learn to walk like the heroes
We thought we had to be
Well after all this time
To find we're just like all the rest
Stranded in the park
And forced to confess
To hiding on the backstreets
Hiding on the backstreets
Where we swore forever friends
On the backstreets until the end
Hiding on the backstreets
Hiding on the backstreets ...

I wish, I just wish I could write songs a tenth as good as this. I've always taken it as a song about love being unable to conquer our inner demons - whatever they are - and I guess (from what I gather about S6) - Willow is battling with a few inner demons, ie, through her use of magic. Anyway, I thought of this song.

Sorry if this has already been posted but 'I Knew I Loved You' by Savage Garden has always reminded me of Willow and Tara.

Maybe it's intuition
But some things you just don't question
Like in your eyes
I see my future in an instant
And there it goes
I think I've found my best friend
I know that it might sound more than a little crazy
But I believe

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

There's just no rhyme or reason
Only the sense of completion
And in your eyes
I see the missing pieces
I'm searching for
I think I've found my best friend

I know that it might sound more than a little crazy
But I believe

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

A thousand angels dance around you
I am complete now that I've found you

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

Ok i just thought of another one. I think this is from Tara's POV.

Ten Sharp - You

It's alright with me as long as you are by my side,
talk or just say nothing, I don't mind your looks never lie.
I was always on the run, finding out what I was looking for and
I was always insecure, just until I found

Words often don't come easy, I never loved to show you the inside of me oh no my baby
You were always patience, dragging out what I tried to hide

I was always on the run, finding out what I was looking for and
I was always insecure, just until I found
You you were always on my mind, you, you're the one I'm living for
You, you're my everlasting fire, you're my always shining star. You're my allways

Nights always are good friends, a glass of wine and the lights down low.
You lying beside me, me full of love and filled with hope

You you were always on my mind, you, you're the one I'm living for
You, you're my everlasting fire, you're my always shining star. Allways on my mind. you, you're the one i`m living for, you, you're my everlasting fire, you're my always shining star.

I know this song was used in an early BTVS episode, but can't seem to recall what it was. 'Tis a luvly song though.

Let The Sun Fall Down

Written by Kim Richey & Neal Coty

Close the door and leave the world behind you
Open the window and listen to the breeze blow through the pines
Take a deep breath, what more can you do

CHORUS:
(Oh) Let the sun fall down all around you
Let the night surround you in a blanket of starlight
I'll whisper you a lullaby
Let the sun fall down

That old dark cloud acts like he knows you
He takes up too much time, time you could be spending holding me
But he can't have you now
It's you and me here in this room

(repeat chorus)

The world will keep on turning
It'll all be there come morning
So tonight

(repeat chorus twice)

Drive You Home

It's funny how
Even now
You still support me after all the things that I've done
You're so good to me
Waiting patiently
And isn't it sad that you still have to ask if I care?

I never said I was perfect
But I can take you away

Walk on shells tonight
Can't do right tonight
And you can't say the word
Cause I leap down your throat
So uptight am I

I never said I was perfect
But I can drive you home

I got down on myself
Working too hard
Driving myself to death
Trying to beat up the faults in my head
What a mess I've made
Sure we all make mistakes
But they see me so large that they think I'm immune to the pain

Walk on shells tonight
Can't do right tonight
And you can't say the word
cause I leap down your throat
So uptight am I

I'm praying for a miracle
But I won't hold my breath
I never said I was perfect
But can you take me home

Breaking Up The Girl

In a modern culture
My friend you must be careful
They've a million ways to kill you
In this dangerous world
There’s an art to growing old
Taking chances
Magic happens

One mistake's all it takes
And your life has come undone
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl
It's a drag
I know it's hard
But you're tearing her apart
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl

I am afraid that there's much to be afraid of
Here today and gone tomorrow
Don't end up in the gutter
Just like the one before
You're just the same
Such a loser

One mistake's all it takes
And your life has come undone
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl
It's a drag
I know it's hard
But you're tearing her apart
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl

You've got to let her go because you're breaking up
Girl
Girl
One mistake's all it takes
And your life has come undone
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl
It's a drag
I know it's hard
But you're tearing her apart
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl

Hey Wolfie, it's interesting that you brought up "Backstreets" (which is a great song from what I think will always be Springsteen's greatest album, though "Thunder Road" is my fave) because my friend and former bandmate Jessica insists that it's about homosexual love. Which has never been my reading, but she makes a strong argument. (She also named her band Valentino Drag.)

Trying to learn to walk like the heroes
We thought we had to be
Well after all this time
To find we're just like all the rest
Stranded in the park
And forced to confess
To hiding on the backstreets
Hiding on the backstreets
Where we swore forever friends
On the backstreets until the end
Hiding on the backstreets
Hiding on the backstreets ...

I wish, I just wish I could write songs a tenth as good as this. I've always taken it as a song about love being unable to conquer our inner demons - whatever they are - and I guess (from what I gather about S6) - Willow is battling with a few inner demons, ie, through her use of magic. Anyway, I thought of this song.IP: LoggedTara's Psychic FairyDoll's Eye Crystal

Sorry if this has already been posted but 'I Knew I Loved You' by Savage Garden has always reminded me of Willow and Tara.

Maybe it's intuition
But some things you just don't question
Like in your eyes
I see my future in an instant
And there it goes
I think I've found my best friend
I know that it might sound more than a little crazy
But I believe

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

There's just no rhyme or reason
Only the sense of completion
And in your eyes
I see the missing pieces
I'm searching for
I think I've found my best friend

I know that it might sound more than a little crazy
But I believe

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

A thousand angels dance around you
I am complete now that I've found you

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

------------------
"YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. ALL OF YOU. Just for being."

"Love yourself for who you are, not what others THINK you should look like. It's DEFINATELY more imprtant in this life to love eachother despite our imperfections."

"Regardless of what you're interested in, there is somebody out there who will love and respect you."

Ok i just thought of another one. I think this is from Tara's POV.

Ten Sharp - You

It's alright with me as long as you are by my side,
talk or just say nothing, I don't mind your looks never lie.
I was always on the run, finding out what I was looking for and
I was always insecure, just until I found

Words often don't come easy, I never loved to show you the inside of me oh no my baby
You were always patience, dragging out what I tried to hide

I was always on the run, finding out what I was looking for and
I was always insecure, just until I found
You you were always on my mind, you, you're the one I'm living for
You, you're my everlasting fire, you're my always shining star. You're my allways

Nights always are good friends, a glass of wine and the lights down low.
You lying beside me, me full of love and filled with hope

You you were always on my mind, you, you're the one I'm living for
You, you're my everlasting fire, you're my always shining star. Allways on my mind. you, you're the one i`m living for, you, you're my everlasting fire, you're my always shining star.

I know this song was used in an early BTVS episode, but can't seem to recall what it was. 'Tis a luvly song though.

Let The Sun Fall Down

Written by Kim Richey & Neal Coty

Close the door and leave the world behind you
Open the window and listen to the breeze blow through the pines
Take a deep breath, what more can you do

CHORUS:
(Oh) Let the sun fall down all around you
Let the night surround you in a blanket of starlight
I'll whisper you a lullaby
Let the sun fall down

That old dark cloud acts like he knows you
He takes up too much time, time you could be spending holding me
But he can't have you now
It's you and me here in this room

(repeat chorus)

The world will keep on turning
It'll all be there come morning
So tonight

(repeat chorus twice)

Drive You Home

It's funny how
Even now
You still support me after all the things that I've done
You're so good to me
Waiting patiently
And isn't it sad that you still have to ask if I care?

I never said I was perfect
But I can take you away

Walk on shells tonight
Can't do right tonight
And you can't say the word
Cause I leap down your throat
So uptight am I

I never said I was perfect
But I can drive you home

I got down on myself
Working too hard
Driving myself to death
Trying to beat up the faults in my head
What a mess I've made
Sure we all make mistakes
But they see me so large that they think I'm immune to the pain

Walk on shells tonight
Can't do right tonight
And you can't say the word
cause I leap down your throat
So uptight am I

I'm praying for a miracle
But I won't hold my breath
I never said I was perfect
But can you take me home

Breaking Up The Girl

In a modern culture
My friend you must be careful
They've a million ways to kill you
In this dangerous world
There’s an art to growing old
Taking chances
Magic happens

One mistake's all it takes
And your life has come undone
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl
It's a drag
I know it's hard
But you're tearing her apart
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl

I am afraid that there's much to be afraid of
Here today and gone tomorrow
Don't end up in the gutter
Just like the one before
You're just the same
Such a loser

One mistake's all it takes
And your life has come undone
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl
It's a drag
I know it's hard
But you're tearing her apart
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl

You've got to let her go because you're breaking up

Hey Wolfie, it's interesting that you brought up "Backstreets" (which is a great song from what I think will always be Springsteen's greatest album, though "Thunder Road" is my fave) because my friend and former bandmate Jessica insists that it's about homosexual love. Which has never been my reading, but she makes a strong argument. (She also named her band Valentino Drag.)

The day you went away
by Wendy Matthews

Hey, does it ever make you wonder what's on my mind?
I, I was only ver running back to your side.
I never cried, I just watched my life go by.
It's just a pack of lies,
'Cause you're leaving me behind.

Why - after this long is there nothing I'll keep?
Oh I can shout,
You'll pretend you're falling asleep.
I live a lie, yeah, believing that you're mine
It's just a waste of time
Cause you're leaving me behind.

Hey, there's not a cloud in the sky,
It's as blue as your goodbye
And I thought that it would rain
On a day like today
Hey there's not a cloud in sight
It's as blue as your blue goodbye
and I thought that it would rain
The Day You Went Away...

He's on the buses, and the aereoplanes
With some groceries and a sleeping bag...

This song hasn't so much a literal allusion to Willow and Tara, but it's more the feeling it evokes. I've printed it here unchanged, but change the Terry/"hated him..." etc, if it makes it easier. I took it on a more metaphorical basis, anyway. It's just the feel that has always captured me - the intensity.

Backstreets
(from Born To Run - B. Springsteen)

One soft infested summer
Me and Terry became friends
Trying in vain to breathe
The fire we was born in
Catching rides to the outskirts
Tying faith between our teeth
Sleeping in that old abandoned beach house
Getting wasted in the heat
And hiding on the backstreets
Hiding on the backstreets
With a love so hard and filled with defeat
Running for our lives at night on them backstreets

Slow dancing in the dark
On the beach at Stockton's Wing
Where despirate lovers park
We sat with the last of the Duke Street Kings
Huddled in our cars
Waiting for the bells that ring
In the deep heart of the night
We let loose of everything
To go running on the backstreets
Running on the backstreets
Terry you swore we'd live forever
Taking it on them backstreets together

Endless juke joints and Valentino drag
Where famous dancers scraped the tears
Up off the street dressed down in rags
Running into the darkness
Some hurt some really dying
At night sometimes it seemed
You could hear the whole damn city crying
Blame it on the lies that killed us
Blame it on the truth that ran us down
You can blame it all on me Terry
It don't matter to me now
When the breakdown hit at midnight
There was nothing left to say
But I hated him
And I hated you when you went away

Laying here in the dark
You're like an angel on my chest
Just another tramp of hearts
Crying tears of faithlessness
Remember all the movies, Terry
We'd go see
Trying to learn to walk like the heroes
We thought we had to be
Well after all this time
To find we're just like all the rest
Stranded in the park
And forced to confess
To hiding on the backstreets
Hiding on the backstreets
Where we swore forever friends
On the backstreets until the end
Hiding on the backstreets
Hiding on the backstreets ...

I wish, I just wish I could write songs a tenth as good as this. This song hasn't so much a literal allusion to Willow and Tara, but it's more the feeling it evokes. I've printed it here unchanged, but change the Terry/"hated him..." etc, if it makes it easier. I took it on a more metaphorical basis, anyway. It's just the feel that has always captured me - the intensity.

Backstreets
(from Born To Run - B. Springsteen)

One soft infested summer
Me and Terry became friends
Trying in vain to breathe
The fire we was born in
Catching rides to the outskirts
Tying faith between our teeth
Sleeping in that old abandoned beach house
Getting wasted in the heat
And hiding on the backstreets
Hiding on the backstreets
With a love so hard and filled with defeat
Running for our lives at night on them backstreets

Slow dancing in the dark
On the beach at Stockton's Wing
Where despirate lovers park
We sat with the last of the Duke Street Kings
Huddled in our cars
Waiting for the bells that ring
In the deep heart of the night
We let loose of everything
To go running on the backstreets
Running on the backstreets
Terry you swore we'd live forever
Taking it on them backstreets together

Endless juke joints and Valentino drag
Where famous dancers scraped the tears
Up off the street dressed down in rags
Running into the darkness
Some hurt some really dying
At night sometimes it seemed
You could hear the whole damn city crying
Blame it on the lies that killed us
Blame it on the truth that ran us down
You can blame it all on me Terry
It don't matter to me now
When the breakdown hit at midnight
There was nothing left to say
But I hated him
And I hated you when you went away

Laying here in the dark
You're like an angel on my chest
Just another tramp of hearts
Crying tears of faithlessness
Remember all the movies, Terry
We'd go see
Trying to learn to walk like the heroes
We thought we had to be
Well after all this time
To find we're just like all the rest
Stranded in the park
And forced to confess
To hiding on the backstreets
Hiding on the backstreets
Where we swore forever friends
On the backstreets until the end
Hiding on the backstreets
Hiding on the backstreets ...

I wish, I just wish I could write songs a tenth as good as this. I've always taken it as a song about love being unable to conquer our inner demons - whatever they are - and I guess (from what I gather about S6) - Willow is battling with a few inner demons, ie, through her use of magic. Anyway, I thought of this song.

Sorry if this has already been posted but 'I Knew I Loved You' by Savage Garden has always reminded me of Willow and Tara.

Maybe it's intuition
But some things you just don't question
Like in your eyes
I see my future in an instant
And there it goes
I think I've found my best friend
I know that it might sound more than a little crazy
But I believe

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

There's just no rhyme or reason
Only the sense of completion
And in your eyes
I see the missing pieces
I'm searching for
I think I've found my best friend

I know that it might sound more than a little crazy
But I believe

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

A thousand angels dance around you
I am complete now that I've found you

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

------------------
"YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. ALL OF YOU. Just for being."

"Love yourself for who you are, not what others THINK you should look like. It's DEFINATELY more imprtant in this life to love eachother despite our imperfections."

"Regardless of what you're interested in, there is somebody out there who will love and respect you."

Ok i just thought of another one. I think this is from Tara's POV.

Ten Sharp - You

It's alright with me as long as you are by my side,
talk or just say nothing, I don't mind your looks never lie.
I was always on the run, finding out what I was looking for and
I was always insecure, just until I found

Words often don't come easy, I never loved to show you the inside of me oh no my baby
You were always patience, dragging out what I tried to hide

I was always on the run, finding out what I was looking for and
I was always insecure, just until I found
You you were always on my mind, you, you're the one I'm living for
You, you're my everlasting fire, you're my always shining star. You're my allways

Nights always are good friends, a glass of wine and the lights down low.
You lying beside me, me full of love and filled with hope

You you were always on my mind, you, you're the one I'm living for
You, you're my everlasting fire, you're my always shining star. Allways on my mind. you, you're the one i`m living for, you, you're my everlasting fire, you're my always shining star.

I know this song was used in an early BTVS episode, but can't seem to recall what it was. 'Tis a luvly song though.

Let The Sun Fall Down

Written by Kim Richey & Neal Coty

Close the door and leave the world behind you
Open the window and listen to the breeze blow through the pines
Take a deep breath, what more can you do

CHORUS:
(Oh) Let the sun fall down all around you
Let the night surround you in a blanket of starlight
I'll whisper you a lullaby
Let the sun fall down

That old dark cloud acts like he knows you
He takes up too much time, time you could be spending holding me
But he can't have you now
It's you and me here in this room

(repeat chorus)

The world will keep on turning
It'll all be there come morning
So tonight

(repeat chorus twice)

Drive You Home

It's funny how
Even now
You still support me after all the things that I've done
You're so good to me
Waiting patiently
And isn't it sad that you still have to ask if I care?

I never said I was perfect
But I can take you away

Walk on shells tonight
Can't do right tonight
And you can't say the word
Cause I leap down your throat
So uptight am I

I never said I was perfect
But I can drive you home

I got down on myself
Working too hard
Driving myself to death
Trying to beat up the faults in my head
What a mess I've made
Sure we all make mistakes
But they see me so large that they think I'm immune to the pain

Walk on shells tonight
Can't do right tonight
And you can't say the word
cause I leap down your throat
So uptight am I

I'm praying for a miracle
But I won't hold my breath
I never said I was perfect
But can you take me home

Breaking Up The Girl

In a modern culture
My friend you must be careful
They've a million ways to kill you
In this dangerous world
There’s an art to growing old
Taking chances
Magic happens

One mistake's all it takes
And your life has come undone
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl
It's a drag
I know it's hard
But you're tearing her apart
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl

I am afraid that there's much to be afraid of
Here today and gone tomorrow
Don't end up in the gutter
Just like the one before
You're just the same
Such a loser

One mistake's all it takes
And your life has come undone
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl
It's a drag
I know it's hard
But you're tearing her apart
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl

You've got to let her go because you're breaking up

Hey Wolfie, it's interesting that you brought up "Backstreets" (which is a great song from what I think will always be Springsteen's greatest album, though "Thunder Road" is my fave) because my friend and former bandmate Jessica insists that it's about homosexual love. Which has never been my reading, but she makes a strong argument. (She also named her band Valentino Drag.)

Songs that remind us of W/T

Postby Pixie-Muso » Wed Dec 26, 2001 10:03 pm

Ok, I haven't actually sen any of season S6, but being around, there are things that I've inevitably picked up on. Anyhoo, I'm listenning to Sarah McLachlan right now and somehow she reminded me of Wendy Matthews and this song The day you went away. Anyway, it reminded me of Willow and Tara.

The day you went away
by Wendy Matthews

Hey, does it ever make you wonder what's on my mind?
I, I was only ver running back to your side.
I never cried, I just watched my life go by.
It's just a pack of lies,
'Cause you're leaving me behind.

Why - after this long is there nothing I'll keep?
Oh I can shout,
You'll pretend you're falling asleep.
I live a lie, yeah, believing that you're mine
It's just a waste of time
Cause you're leaving me behind.

Hey, there's not a cloud in the sky,
It's as blue as your goodbye
And I thought that it would rain
On a day like today
Hey there's not a cloud in sight
It's as blue as your blue goodbye
and I thought that it would rain
The Day You Went Away...

He's on the buses, and the aereoplanes
With some groceries and a sleeping bag...

Sorry if this has already been posted but 'I Knew I Loved You' by Savage Garden has always reminded me of Willow and Tara.

Maybe it's intuition
But some things you just don't question
Like in your eyes
I see my future in an instant
And there it goes
I think I've found my best friend
I know that it might sound more than a little crazy
But I believe

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

There's just no rhyme or reason
Only the sense of completion
And in your eyes
I see the missing pieces
I'm searching for
I think I've found my best friend

I know that it might sound more than a little crazy
But I believe

I knew I loved you before I met you

You've got to let her go because you're breaking up
Girl
Girl
One mistake's all it takes
And your life has come undone
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl
It's a drag
I know it's hard
But you're tearing her apart
Walk away cause you're breaking up the girl
Breaking up the girl
Breaking up the girl
Girl

Songs that remind us of W/T

Hey Wolfie, it's interesting that you brought up "Backstreets" (which is a great song from what I think will always be Springsteen's greatest album, though "Thunder Road" is my fave) because my friend and former bandmate Jessica insists that it's about homosexual love. Which has never been my reading, but she makes a strong argument. (She also named her band Valentino Drag.)

Dazey - I've often speculated the same, as I have with other Springsteen songs - Bobby Jean, Mary, Queen of Arkensas, Wild Billy's Circus Story, etc. Apart from Wild Billy... he keeps it vague, so that you can interpret it either way - I tend to think that's a feature of a good love song - leaving open several avenues for interpretation allows the listener to see it in the way that brings the greatest identification, if that makes any kind of sense at all - brain ain't working too good today. I got into Springsteen when I was 13, and have found that often the same songs, like Backstreets, have changed subtly, as I have gotten older - now I'm 30, and I pick up on different stuff than I did at say, 16.

I think, with Willow and Tara, because they are easily the most romantic couple on TV (to me, anyway), I listen to a song that has romantic connotations, and Bang! I think about them. Actually, what I would be interested to know, is whether anyone else uses W/T when writing their own stuff (apart from the obvious fiction) - I find that, as a songwriter, drawing every scrap of emotion from within, is kind of like attacking my insides with a scouring pad, so I tend to use a fictional scenario to do a little cushioning first - even if it's something really personal, I tend to use this approach, and alter things, as a proctective device, otherwise it can get messy!

Whoops, way way off topic now, so I shall stop!

This is one of my favorites:

Leave The Light On
by Out of the Grey

Watching and waiting
Living on wishful thinking
Maybe you'll come home soon
Hoping and praying
Today your eyes will see
I'm reaching out to you

The sun sinks low
With it goes my heart
My hope for you
Stumbles in the dark

I'll leave the light on
Like I do every night
I may wait a lifetime
It may be tonight
So I'll leave the light on for you

Scatter these shadows
Pushback again my fear
I'll let the spirit speak
Seeing the stars shine
Leading some from far away
You're not beyond their reach

The sun sinks low
But I won't lose heart
My hope for you
shines through the dark

I'll leave the light on
Like I do every night
I may wait a lifetime
It may be tonight
So I'll leave the light on for you

It's not that off-topic, Wolfie, since we are talking about gay-related stuff.

Certainly the male bond is a major theme in Bruce's work, so a homoerotic undercurrent is pretty much inevitable. I take that as a given, and require a bit more to believe that there's any intentional subtext, which is how my friend reads "Backstreets." The one line that always gave me pause is from "Fourth of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)," the bit about "them boys in their high heels, aw Sandy their skins are so white." He sounds mighty...wistful when he sings that.

Heh, well, "behind the tent, the hired hand tightens his legs on the sword swallowers blade" (Wild Billy's Circus Song) is a bit, well, suggestive digestive, don't you think?

Dave Matthews Band
When the World Ends

When the world ends
Collect your things
You’re coming with me
When the world ends
You tuckle up yourself with me
Watch it as the stars disappear to nothing
The day the world is over
We’ll be lying in bed

I’m gonna rock you like a baby when the cities fall
We will rise as the building’s crumble
Float there and watch it all
Amidst the burning, we’ll be churning
You know, love will be our wings
The passion rises up from the ashes
When the world ends

When the world ends
You’re gonna come with me
We’re going to be crazy
Like a river bends
We’re going to float
Through the criss cross of the mountains
Watch them fade to nothing
When the world ends
You know that’s what’s happening now
I’m going to be there with you somehow, oh...

I’m going to tie you up like a baby in a carriage car
Your legs won’t work cause you want me so
You just lie spread to the wall
The love you got is surely
All the love that I would ever need
I’m going to take you by my side
And love you tall, ‘til the world ends

Oh, but don’t you worry about a thing
No, 'cause I got you here with me
Don’t you worry about a
Just you and me
Floating through the empty, empty
Just you and me
Oh, graces
Oh, grace

Oh, when the world ends
We’ll be burning one
When the world ends
We’ll be sweet makin love
Oh, you know when the world ends
I’m going to take you aside and say
Let’s watch it fade away, fade away
And the world’s done
Ours just begun
It's done
Ours just begun

We’re gonna dive into the emptiness
We'll be swimming
I’m going to walk you through the pathless roads
I’m going to take you to the top of the mountain that’s no longer there
I’m going to take you to bed and love you, I swear
Like the end is here

I’m going to take you up to
I’m going to take you down on you
I’m going to hold you like an angel, angel

I’m going to love you
I’m going to love you
When the world ends
I’m going to hold you
When the world is over
We’ll just be beginning...

Let You Down
I let you down
Let me pick you up
I let you down
Let me climb up you to the top
So I can see the view from up there
Tangled in your hair
I let you down
I have no lid upon my head
But if I did
You could look inside and see what's on my mind
You could look inside and see what's on my mind
I let you down, oh, forgive me
You give me love
Let me walk with you, maybe I could say
Maybe talk with you, open up
And let me through
Don't walk away
Don't walk away
I have no lid upon my head
But if I did
You could look inside and see what's on my mind
You could look inside and see what's on my mind

How could I be such a fool like me
I let you down
Tail between my legs
I'm a puppy for your love
I'm a puppy for your love
I have no lid upon my head
But if I did
You could look inside and see what's on my mind, oh it's you
I let you down
I'm a puppy for your love
I'm a puppy for your love
Forgive me
Forgive me
Forgive me
I let you down

Duet by: Mylene Farmer & Seal
Music: Les Mots "words"

Mylene sings mostly in french and Seal in english, their voices blend beautifuly.
When I first heard this song it reminded me of a fiction "Never the Twain?". *^^*
And now it somewhat reflects the situation between Tara and Willow.
On with the lyrics...

Fixement, le ciel se tord
Quand la bouche engendre un mot
Là je donnerai ma vie pour t'entendre
Te dire les mots, les plus tendres

When all becomes all alone
I break my life for a song
And two lives, that's to tomorrow's smile
I know, I will say goodbye
But a fraction of this life
I will give anything, anytime

L'univers a ses mystères
Les mots sont nos vies
We can kill a life with words
So how would it feel
Si nos vies sont si fragiles
Words are mistery
Les mots les sentiments
Les mots d'amour un temple

If I swept the world away
What could touch the universe
I would tell you how the sun rose high
You could, with a word, become one

Et pour tous ces mots qui blessent
Il y a ceux qui nous caressent
Qui illuminent, qui touchent l'infini
Même si le néant existe
For a fraction on this life
I will give anything, anytime

the song Ill catch you by the get up kids is so awesome. ive always liked the song, but i was listening to it yesterday and i noticed the lyrics really reminded me of w/t, see what u guys think...

I'll catch you
The Get up kids
cd: something to write home about

Can you sleep as the sound hits you ears one at a time? An unspoken balance here, unabridged for so many years that i should stare at receivers to receive her isnt fair.

Dont worry ill catch you dont worry ill catch you, dont ever worry.

your arms in mine, anytime, i wouldnt trade anything, youre still my everything. to my surprise, before my eyes you arrive. im still breaking old habits when you pulled the wool over me. i can see everything remembering "Jinx Removing" no need for reminding....youre still all that matters to me.

you cant really get the full effect of the song just by reading it so if you havent heard it i really recommend listening. its a really cool song...or maybe thats just the emo in me..

Sorry if this one has been mentioned before.

Time Goes By
-Spice Girls

I've never had a feeling so right
Like I have with you
Can't explain the things you do
But boy when you
Tell me softly you love me too
It's like I know we were meant to be
So for eternity
You will have a part of me
And all I need
Is for you to stay right here with me

Time goes by but we stand still
Love you for eternity I will
I know that we were meant to be
That's how I feel when you're with me

You are the reason that my heart beats
I know I never thought
I would ever fall so deep
But now I see
That the love that we share is oh so sweet
What if I told you that I believe
That you are my soul
My destiny
What if I was to say in every way
Deep in my heart is where you'll be

As you hold me close so tenderly
I watch you fall to sleep
I see in you the one who now completes
The half of me I used to be

Time goes by but we stand still
Love you forever yes I will
I know we're meant to be
That's how I feel baby

And to make this post even longer. A song from my most favorite of Japanese anime: Shoujo Kakumei Utena First, the Japanese version. Then the English translation. It's a very beautiful song.

Toki Ni Ai Wa

This rose is our destiny hiki sakare
futari no te wa hanarete itta
nemuru toki mo anata e no yume (kanji: sou) itaki nagara
todoke! sekai no hate made
toki ni ai wa tsuyoku hito no kokoro o kizutsuke motsure keredo
yume o atae yuuki no naka ni itsumo hikari kagayaki hanatsu
hitotsu no chikara ni...
This rose is our destiny michibikare
futari wa ima mou ichido deau
donna toki mo ano yakusoku
wasurenai de yatto koko made kiita yo
toki ni ai kedakaku hito no kokoro o tsuranuku you ni motome
mamoru mono ni mamorareru mono itsumo hikari kagayaki hanatsu
hitotsu no chikara ni...
toki ni ai wa tsuyoku hito no kokoro o kizutsuke motsuru keredo
yume o atae yuuki no naka ni itsumo hikari kagayaite
ai wa tsuyoku hito no kokoro o doukashite yuku
dakara futari deiru kitto sekai o kaeru tame ni
soshite subete wa hitotsu no chikara ni naru

This rose is our destiny. Splitting apart...
Two people's hands, going, separating
Sleeping time, in your dreams, hold someone close.
Deliver! Until the end of the world!
The time for love is when a strong person's heart is wounded.
Dreams always given of inside courage and shining light separated.
The strength of one...
This rose is our destiny. Withered guidance...
Two people now, already once meeting by chance.
What time is this arrangement?
Don't forget. At last, here you come.
The time for love's highest spirits is when a person's heart goes through want.
To watch over a person, protect a person. Always shining light separates!
The strength of one!
The time for love is when a strong person's heart is wounded.
Dreams always given of inside courage and shining light... moving...
Love is a strong person's heart making something move, to go
Therefore, two people exit. Surely, the world will change for the sake of this...
and all will attain one strength!

I can see the first part of the song being sung (or having to do with) Tara while the second verse is cleary Willow. I see it as a duet sung by the two girls. ^o^

I Can't Make It Alone by the Continental Drifters

Now you know me
And you know how proud I am
And what I'm gonna tell you now
It won't be easy to say
Before I left your side
I was so happy there
And I've been so lonely
Since I've been away

Oh baby well I tried and I know
I can't make it alone
It's such a hard way to go
I just can't make it alone
Cuz there's something in my soul
That will always
Lead me back to you

What can I say now?
Well sorry's just not good enough
And I wouldn't blame you if you hurt me now
The way I hurt you then
Well who am I to turn to?
Oh baby I am begging you
Won't you reach out for my dying soul
And let me live again

Oh baby well I tried and I know
I can't make it alone
It's such a hard way to go
I just can't make it alone
Cuz there's something in my soul
That will always
Lead me back to you

Oh please help me
Well you know how I need you
I'm saying that I need you
Well I just can't make it by myself
I just can't make it on my own
I just can't make it by myself
