just a lil' gossipy bit from the resident music writer... "bizarre love triangle" is originally a new order's song
which frente! covered. and if i'm not totally messin' it up now, frente's singer is married to jesse tobias, who wrote some of the music to OMWF and also plays with michelle branch. the world is such a small place, innit? :-)

This song is by Michelle Branch, someone i'm sure you all know, esp after Tabula Rasa.

DROP IN THE OCEAN

Love took me by the hand
Love took me by surprise
Love led me to you
And love opened up my eyes

And I was drifting away like a drop in the ocean And now I realize that nothing has been as beautiful
As when I saw heaven's skies
In your eyes
In your eyes

And every time I drift away
I lose myself in you
And now I see I can be me
In everything I do

'Cause I was feeling as small as a drop in the ocean
And now I realize that nothing has been as beautiful
As when I saw heaven's skies
In your eyes
In your eyes

Love took me by the hand
Love took me by surprise

And I was drifting away like a drop in the ocean
And now I've realized that nothing has been as beautiful
As when I saw heaven's skies
In your eyes
In your eyes

Okay, last question. What advice would you give to someone who gets their brains sucked out?

Um ... eat a lot of apple sauce, preferably fed to you by attractive young lesbians.

Hmmm... never really thought much of this thread... then an old Catatonia B-side called "Do You Believe In Me?" came up on my MP3 player right after I finished reading the TR transcript. Oh gods, it's perfect.

Wonderfully sad electric-guitar ballad, with lyrics that always struck me as being kinda Jossy (what he'd write if he was in a British indie group, anyway particularly the Andy Cole and Antarctic Scott bits), some of which fit the storyline obviously and/or perfectly, some of which could be sung by Willow or Tara or both or neither but not the same person throughout like it's actually sung, but never mind that...

I'm Andy Cole's tortured soul (Andy Cole being a soccer player)
Lost out again in front of goal
I wish I had your cocky confidence

Some girls are easier on the eye
But could you take the salad lives?
I wish I had your full-on arrogance

But I'm a white witch, mad bitch, hooked on drugs
The jury's out, the lawyer shrugs
The angel on my shoulder falls asleep

Chorus: Do you believe in me, or are you leaving me? (repeat)

I thought I was Columbus
Turns out Antarctic Scott
And I always ate my friends along the way

But don't ask about the reasons
Nor reason with my aims
The closer you appear, the less I'll say

Chorus (repeat x4)

Bridge: Sullen fool
But give me time and I might prove
I could do anything I choose

I'm Andy Cole's tortured soul
Lost out again in front of goal
I wish I had your cocky confidence

But I'm a white witch, mad bitch, hooked on drugs
The jury's out, the lawyer shrugs
And all the wine you had just left me sober

Chorus (repeat to fade)

Drink puts the angel on my shoulder to sleep (repeat to fade)

... or is the resemblance just in my head?

I was listening to this last night, and kept thinking about Tara:

"Nothing" - by Kristen Hall

One day I marvel at its beauty
The next I marvel at its pain
The world is such a big idea, such a big idea
The pain gets locked inside a child
And there's a child in us all
And that is such a big idea, such a big idea

Chorus:
And mama, it's not just irrevelant nonsense
What are you hiding? Where is your conscience?
You expect me to follow, but I am stronger than you
And I'm ready to feel life, I'm ready to find out

And still the beauty if I care
Is always there where I can see
And it is only in ourselves that we can choose to let it be
But now I'm grounded at the gate
In my attempt to save the world
And that is such a sad idea, such a sad idea

And mama, it's not just irrelevant nonsense
What are you hiding? Where is your conscience?
You don't even know me, do you know how that feels?
It feels like I'm no one, it feels like I'm nothing

------------------

I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams. "

This song sounds like it would be good for Tara from Willow
O no, I see,

I spun a web, it's tangled up with me,

And I lost my head,

The thought of all the stupid things I said,

O no what's this?

A spider web, and I'm caught in the middle,

I turned to run,

The thought of all the stupid things I've done,

I never meant to cause you trouble,

And I never meant to do you wrong,

And I, well if I ever caused you trouble,

O no, I never meant to do you harm.

O no I see,

A spider web and it's me in the middle,

So I twist and turn,

Here I am in love in a bubble,

Singing, I never meant to cause you trouble,

I never meant to do you wrong,

And I, well if I ever caused you trouble,

Although I never meant to do you harm.

They spun a web for me,

They spun a web for me,

They spun a web for me.

Ok, so I was in my car and I popped in Madonna's latest greatest hits collection and I was listening to this song and it reminded me of w/t and what Tara must be feeling (heck it's currently personally relevant as well) and I thought I'd share:

The Power Of Good-Bye
written by Madonna and Rick Nowels

Your heart is not open so I must go
The spell has been broken, I loved you so
Freedom comes when you learn to let go
Creation comes when you learn to say no

You were my lesson I had to learn
I was your fortress you had to burn
Pain is a warning that something's wrong
I pray to God that it won't be long
Do ya wanna go higher?

Chorus:

There's nothing left to try
There's no place left to hide
There's no greater power
Than the power of good-bye

Your heart is not open so I must go
The spell has been broken, I loved you so
You were my lesson I had to learn
I was your fortress

Chorus2:

There's nothing left to lose
There's no more heart to bruise
There's no greater power
Than the power of good-bye

Learn to say good-bye
I yearn to say good-bye

I think I'm gonna cry!

These words are helping me not to:

There's no greater power
Than the power of good-bye

That power will help them! As God is my witness . . . oops had a Scarlett O'Hara moment there!

I was listening to my Tricia Leigh Fisher cd this morning. All the songs remind me of Willow and Tara, but the one that fits now is Back to Love Again.

You're looking for signs again
That smoke again, no matter what you say
You're feelin' just a little down
There's doubt again oh wow
You must be stronger than that
THere's smoke no fire
Only my love, my one desire

Chorus
Come on back to love again,
Let our world go on and never end
Together back in love again
Let our lonely hearts begin to mend
And then relight another flame
To bring us back, back to love again

Verse
Still waitng for love again
Come back again, I can't go on this way
Keep feeling just a little down
There's doubt again oh wow
You must be stronger than that
There's smoke no fire
Only my love, my one desire

Chorus

There's no need to feel this way
Where my love is concerned
This fire will burn
There's no other way

Chorus

Well, i've waited a while before posting a song. I wanted to think of a goodie. And here it is. It's "Are you the one that I've been waiting for?" by Nick Cave & the Badseeds. It really doesn't have the same effect with just the lyrics, here they are anyway:

Are You The One That I've Been Waiting For?

I've felt you coming girl, as you drew near
I knew you'd find me, cause I longed you here
Are you my desitiny? Is this how you'll appear?
Wrapped in a coat with tears in your eyes?
Well take that coat babe, and throw it on the floor
Are you the one that I've been waiting for?

As you've been moving surely toward me
My soul has comforted and assured me
That in time my heart it will reward me
And that all will be revealed
So I've sat and I've watched an ice-age thaw
Are you the one that I've been waiting for?

Out of sorrow entire worlds have been built
Out of longing great wonders have been willed
They're only little tears, darling, let them spill
And lay your head upon my shoulder
Outside my window the world has gone to war
Are you the one that I've been waiting for?

O we will know, won't we?
The stars will explode in the sky
O but they don't, do they?
Stars have their moment and then they die

There's a man who spoke wonders though I've never met him
He said, "He who seeks finds and who knocks will be let in"
I think of you in motion and just how close you are getting
And how every little thing anticipates you
All down my veins my heart-strings call
Are you the one that I've been waiting for?

I love this song! This and "Into my arms" are just beautiful Nick songs.

Hmm, I think I have to play some Nick Cave now. Thanks for the inspiration Scoobiedoo!

I freely admit that every time I listen to Madonna's "Get into the groove" I have a vision of Tara jumping up and down in her dorm, wearing one of these pitiful S5-skirts, singing into a carrot with enthusiasm...then Willow shows up and my thoughts become kind of blurry, R rated..

Edited to add that the blurry vision does NOT contain carrots.

A song that reminds me....I would have to say "I try" by Macy Gray. And "Nothing compares 2 U" by Sinead' O'connor. But that's kinda sad so thats not a very good one. Plus that focuses on the break-up....it's just.....forget it. I'm sticking w/ Macy.

Love is a place I dream of

Love is a place I dream of
A face that never leaves my mind
Sorrow is over my shoulder
But its over

Some day I'll cross the world for you
No matter how far, just to be there
Some day I'll hold you in my arms
So special you are, wait and see my love - set you free

Love is a place I dream of
I hear you calling so far away
There is a bridge I'm building
To take me to the one I love today.

Luka Bloom
From his album "Between the mountain and the moon". FYI, Sinead O'Connor duets on this song.

Just beautiful!

I'm too lazy to check if these have already been posted, but here are my songs:

*Silver Lining (Amanda Ghost)
Drawn to the violence of change
Charmed by the sentimental brave
I hear the door slam
I look the other way
I hate the small talk and the empty days

Silver lining
I bathe in your light
I'll always believe in your place in my life
Silver lining
I know that I'm right
I'll always believe in your right to shine

Scared of the things that people say
Knowing my confidence might fail
I feel the world's weight upon my breaking back
I see uncertainty and the visible cracks

Silver lining
I bathe in your light
I'll always believe in your place in my life
Silver lining
I know that I'm right
I'll always believe in your right to shine

*When She Loved Me (Sarah McLachlan)
When somebody loved me
everything was beautiful
every hour we spent together
lives within my heart
And when she was sad
I was there to dry her tears
and when she was happy so was I
when she loved me
Through the summer and the fall
we had each other that was all
just she and I together
like it was meant to be
and when she was lonely
I was there to comfort her
and I knew that she loved me
So the years went by
I stayed the same
but she began to drift away
I was left alone
still I waited for the day
when she'd say
I will always love you
Lonely and forgotten
never thought she'd look my way
and she smiled at me
and held me
just like she used to do
like she loved me
when she loved me
When somebody loved me
everything was beautiful
every hour we spent together
lives within my heart
When she loved me...

I have a HUGE list!!
Lifehouse's "Hanging By A Moment", "Everything", "Breathing", and "Somewhere In Between"; Heather Nova's "Like Lovers Do", "London Rain", and "Heart And Shoulder"; Marvin Gaye's "How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You"; The Four Season's "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore"; Barenaked Ladies' "Call And Answer"; kd lang's "Constant Craving" and "Consequenses Of Falling"; The Cure's "I'll Stop The World (And Melt With You)"; Ronan Keating's "The Way You Make Me Feel" and "When You Say Nothing At All"; Sixpence None The Richer's "There She Goes" (one of my faves-); Melanie Doane's "Forgive Me"; Hanson's "If Only" (don't make fun of them cause they do all their own stuff- respect Hanson!! ); ?? "I Want You To Want Me"; Bette Midler's "Wind Beneath My Wings"; Aerosmith's "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing"; Faith Hill's "There You'll Be"; Etta James' "At Last"; Lonestar's "I'm Already There"; I'm sure I could think up some more, but I'd bet that's all our little kitty ears can take!!
I hope none of these have already been mentioned (except for a few of the Lifehouse, because I know they were, but I HAD to add them). Well, I suppose I'll be seeing you all around.

Love, hugs, and kitten kisses-

Bored,so bored..had nothing to do.So,I took a little tour through my music collection..and I found this
( Don't laugh!!I love the lyrics everything now is pretty much about W/T and I think I'm going crazy. )

Well,I think it's pretty much what Willow is feeling now.( and wouldn't it be nice if they'll have musical ep again or do some boardway!!!)

You must love me : MADONNA
( from OST.EVITA )

Where do we go from here?
This isn't where we intended to be
We had it all, you believed in me
I believed in you

Certainties disappear
What do we do for our dream to survive?
How do we keep all our passions alive,
As we used to do?

Deep in my heart I'm concealing
Things that I'm longing to say
Scared to confess what I'm feeling
Frightened you'll slip away

You must love me
You must love me

Why are you at my side?
How can I be any use to you now?
Give me a chance and I'll let you see how
Nothing has changed

You must love me....

yeeh, she needs Tara beside her.Really really need. *sigh*

...
And this song, remind me of them in New Moon Rising

Yes I Am
(M. Etheridge)

In these days and these hours of fury
When the darkness and answers are thin
Lovers come and check out in a hurry
Shallow and hollow again
Come lay your body beside me
To dream to sleep with the lamb
To the question your eyes seem to send

Am I your passion your promise your end
I say I am
Yes I am
Your passion your promise your end
Yes I am

Barring divine intervention
There is nothing between you and I
And if I carelessly forgot to mention
Your body your power can sanctify
Come feed your hunger your thirst
Lay it down the beast will die
You can question my heart once again

Am I your passion your promise your end
I say I am
Yes I am
Your passion your promise your end
Yes I am

I will stand firm in the tempest
I will ride destinys' trail
To believe when the truth comes up empty
To hold and respect without fail
Come and be one in the motion
A desire they cannot comprehend
Never to question again
For I am your passion
your promise
your end
Oh yes I am

Yeah!!!that's more like it!!!!W/T = True love and alive forever it will be * nodding with believe *
Alright, lighten up up up up now

Venus Bless,kitties
*Fuzz*

PS. Xita!!!I love that song. *go to the corner and cry* ( Yeah, this song is kind of matching in my life right now too. )

------------------
Willow: Oh I'm not ... I don't have much in the way of power. really, I mean most of my potions come out soup. Besides... spells going awry, friends in danger...I'm definitely nothing special.
Tara: No, you are.

It's okay. I can do this. I'm gonna take care of her. Even if she never... She's my girl. ~ Willow ~

I would go with Secret Smile by Semisonic partly cause I have written a song fic with it for the end of Wrecked

Secret Smile
Semisonic

Nobody knows it but you've got a secret smile
And you use it only for me
Nobody knows it but you've got a secret smile
And you use it only form

So use it and prove it
Remove this whirling sadness
I'm losing,I'm bluesing
But you can save from madness

Nobody knows it but you've got a secret smile
And you use it only for me
Nobody knows it but you've got a secret smile
And you use it only for me

So save me I'm waiting
I'm needing,hear me pleading
And soothe me,improve me
I'm grieving,I'm barely believing now,now

When you are flying around and around the world
And I'm lying a lonely
I know there's something sacred and free reserved
And received by me only

Came out of lurking to post this song by Josh Groban, called "You're Still You."

Through the darkness
I can see your light
And you will always shine
And I can feel your heart in mine
Your face I've memorized
I idolize
Just you

I look up to
Everything you are
In my eyes you do no wrong
I've loved you for so long
And after all is said and done
You're still you
After all
You're still you

You walk past me
I can feel your pain
Time changes everything
One truth always stays the same
You're still you
After all
You're still you

I look up to
Everything you are
In my eyes you do no wrong
And I believe in you
Although you never asked me to
I will remember you
And what life put you through
And in this cruel and lonely world
I found one love
You're still you
After all
You're still you

Okay, two songs that remind me of what is going on right now and the "break up" are "Goodbye" - Spice Girls and "Never had a Dream Come True" - SClub7

Don't laugh, they're good songs.

"Wind Beneath My Wings" is also a great song. One of my friends has a cd out with that song on it. She did it very well (she is only a freshman in high school), if you want to hear it e-mail me. She also has "At the Beginning" on the same cd which is also a great song for W/T.

If you want the lyrics to those songs just tell me and I'll type them up.

Been in a big Floyd mood lately.

Here is one that sort captures the now.

quote:

Pink Floyd "Wish You Were Here"

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground. What have you found? The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

Here's a couple of Dido songs that I feel are relevant to the current times:

From Willow's POV
Honestly OK by Dido

i just want to feel safe in my own skin,
i just want to be happy again
i just want to feel deep in my own world
but i'm so lonely i don't even want to be with myself anymore
on a different day, if i was safe in my own skin, then i wouldn't feel lost and so frightened
but this is today and i'm lost in my own skin
and i'm so lonely i don't even want to be with myself anymore
i just want to feel safe in my own skin, i just want to be happy again

And I can see this applying to Tara and how she would react to hearing about Willow's situation/decision in Wrecked:
Slide by Dido

Even on a day like this when you're crawling on the floor
Reaching for the phone to ring anyone who knows you anymore
It's all right to make mistakes, you're only human
Inside everybody's hiding something
Staring at the same four walls, have you tried to help youself
The rings around your eyes they don't hide, that you need to get some rest
It's all right to make mistakes you're only human
Inside everybody's hiding something
Take time to catch your breath and choose your moment

Don't slide

Even at a time like this when the mornng seems so far
Think that pain belongs to you but it's happened to us all
It's all right to make mistakes you're only human
Inside everybody's hiding something
Take time to catch your breath and choose your moment
Don't slide
You brought this on yourself and it's high time you left it there
Lie here and rest your head and dream of something else instead

Don't slide

Anyway, was just listening to my Dido CD and these struck me as applying.

I was listening to a mix tape I have in my car, and "Black-Dove (January)" by Tori Amos really makes me think of Tara.

She was a January girl
She never let on how insane it was
In that tiny kinda scary house
By the woods by the woods by the woods by the woods

Black-dove
Black-dove
You're not a helicopter
You're not a copout either
Black-dove
Black-dove
You don't need a space ship
They don't know you already live
On the other side of the galaxy
The other side of the galaxy
The other side of the galaxy

She had a January world
So many storms not right somehow
How a lion becomes a mouse
By the woods by the woods by the woods by the woods

But I have to get to Texas
Said I have to get to Texas
And I'll give away my blue blue dress

Black-dove
Black-dove
You're not a helicopter
You're not a copout either
Black-dove
Black-dove
You don't need a space ship
They don't know you already live
On the other side of the galaxy
The other side of the galaxy
The other side of the galaxy

She has a January girl
She never let on how insane it was
In that tiny kinda scary house
By the woods by the woods by the woods by the woods
Black-dove . . .

For some reason whenever I hear the chorus to "Differences" by Ginuwine, that just reminds me of Willow and Tara's relationship.

My whole life has changed
Since you came in, I know back then
You were that special one
I'm so in love, so deep in love

You make my life complete
You are so sweet, no one competes
Glad you came into my life
You blind me with your love, with you I have no sight.

For some reason, every time I think of Willow and her loss of innocence and Tara holding on to hope that things will be ok, Maria McKee (former Lone Justice lead singer) keeps coming to mind. Nobody's Child is haunting and tear inducing; I think the best song she's ever done.

Nobody's Child

Turning around
I see someone that I thought
I used to know

You, wide-eyed in the crowd
How does it feel to see the world
and not turn cold?

I want hold you and protect you
from the change
'Cause I know it's gonna happen anyway

Chorus:
So take this veil
Dry this eyes
In a world like ours
I'm Nobody's Child
End chorus

I'm depending you
to teach me all the things
I forgot I never knew

Baby, you can lean on me
I may lean a little too
Whatever gets us through

And I feel the mountain moving
deep within
At the end of the revival
We begin

Chorus:
So take this veil
And dry these eyes
You see the pain
But I'm Nobody's Child

[edited to add:A few other songs that remind me of them: "Fear" by Sarah McLachlan, "Something so Strong" by Neil Finn, "Gotta Get Back" by Shelby Lynne, "Winter" by Tori Amos (I got to sit next to her father at the very first concert she ever did in a little bitty theater in MD. Her dad was the best and great to talk to.), "What's a Broken Heart" by Patty Loveless (this was just a thought in light of their recent estrangement), almost anything by the Cure, "Every Road Leads Back to You" a cover by Bette Midler on the "For the Boys Soundtrack, just to name a few )]

I heard this song the other day and it totally made me think of Willow and Tara. "Its In your eyes" by Peter Gabriel. It also happens to be one of my favorite songs.

love I get so lost, sometimes
days pass and this emptiness fills my heart
when I want to run away
I drive off in my car
but whichever way I go
I come back to the place you are

all my instincts, they return
and the grand facade, so soon will burn
without a noise, without my pride
I reach out from the inside

in your eyes
the light the heat
in your eyes
I am complete
in your eyes
I see the doorway to a thousand churches
in your eyes
the resolution of all the fruitless searches
in your eyes
I see the light and the heat
in your eyes
oh, I want to be that complete
I want to touch the light
the heat I see in your eyes

love, I don't like to see so much pain
so much wasted and this moment keeps slipping away
I get so tired of working so hard for our survival
I look to the time with you to keep me awake and alive

and all my instincts, they return
and the grand facade, so soon will burn
without a noise, without my pride
I reach out from the inside

in your eyes
the light the heat
in your eyes
I am complete
in your eyes
I see the doorway to a thousand churches
in your eyes
the resolution of all the fruitless searches
in your eyes
I see the light and the heat
in your eyes
oh, I want to be that complete
I want to touch the light,
the heat I see in your eyes
in your eyes in your eyes
in your eyes in your eyes
in your eyes in your eyes

Toni Braxton: You're Makin Me High

I'll always think of you
Inside of my private thoughts
I can imagine you
Touching my private parts
With just the thought of you
I can't help but touch myself
That's why I want you so bad
Just one night of
Moonlight, with you there beside me
All night, doin' it again and again
You know I want you so bad
Baby, baby, baby, baby

Oooh I get so high
When I'm around you baby
I can touch the sky
You make my temperature rise
You're makin me high
Baby, baby, baby, baby

Can't get my mind off you
I think I might be obsessed
The very thought of you
Makes me want to get undressed
I wanna be with you
In spite of what my heart says
I guess I want you too bad
All I want is
Moonlights, with you there inside me
All night, doin it again and again
You know I want you so bad
Baby, baby, baby, baby

Oooh I get so high
When I'm around you baby
I can touch the sky
You make my temperature rise, ooh boy
You're makin me high
Baby, baby, baby, baby

I want to feel your heart and soul inside of me
Let's make a deal you roll, I lick
And we can go flying into ecstasy
Oh Darlin' you and me
Light my fire
Blow my flame
Take me, take me, take me away

Lack of sleep puts me in a frisky mood.
