i think perhaps they wanted us to guess who ben is for a little bit longer, popping those sedatives would too strongly hint that he was definately related to glory... right now, there is still a guess about who he could be... not to us spoiler sluts, of course, but to the general population...
while glory sucks the sanity out of others, ben just takes pills to remain sane...
