Tara leaned against the door as she closed it. She could still fell Willow’s lips on hers. She had never been so happy in her life.



She walked into the living room and saw her mom sitting there.



“Hey sweetie, did you and Willow have a good time?” Her mother asked.



Tara walked over to the couch and sat beside her. She sighed dreamily.



“We really did. She’s amazing.” She said.



“That’s different from what you said earlier, did something happen between you two?” Her mother asked.



She knew that look in her daughter’s eye all too well. Tara was falling for Willow, fast.



“She kissed me mom.” Tara said excitedly.



“And?” her mother asked.



“And I kissed her back.” Tara replied.



“Wow, so do you think you’ll start dating?” Tara’s mother asked. She couldn’t remember the last time she had seen Tara look this happy.



“I hope so. I know I just met her again, but there’s just something about her. She’s special.” Tara said.



Her mother was about to say something, but they were interrupted by a knock on the door.



“I wonder who that could be.” Tara’s mother said.



Tara shrugged, and went to answer the door.



She opened it and saw Willow looking back at her.



“Hey.” Tara said gently.



“Hey, I know our date’s over, but uh, I got to the end of the driveway and I missed you, so I was wondering if maybe we could talk?” Willow asked hopefully.



Tara smiled. This girl was really amazing,



“Sure, come on in.”

“So, what do you want to do?” Tara asked as she closed her bedroom door behind her.



“This.” Willow said as she kissed Tara.



Tara sighed and melted into the kiss. She decided there and then that there was nothing in the world better than kissing Willow. They pulled apart when they started to need air.



“Sorry, I didn’t mean to just grab you like that. It’s just the your lips are so soft and you’re so gorgeous and-”



Tara cut Willow off with another kiss. They pulled apart a few minutes later.



“If that’s’ what you want to say to me then we can talk anytime you want!” She said teasingly.



“You’re just so amazing Tara. I know this is gonna sound silly because we’ve only been on one date, but I really feel like we’ve-”



“Connected?” Tara asked.



“Yeah.” Willow replied.



Tara smiled, “I feel the same way Willow.” She said.



Willow kissed her again and they continued kissing until Tara pushed them back onto the bed. They sat down and stared into each others’ eyes.



“You’re really special Tara.” Willow said sincerely.



“Well if I’m special, then you most certainly are too.” Tara replied.



Willow looked at the clock and sighed. “I’ve got an early class tomorrow; I guess I should be going.” She said, trying hard not to show her disappointment.



Tara felt the words coming out of her mouth before she even thought about them.



“Willow do you wanna stay here with me tonight?”

I mean I was surprised by the kiss, because usually ppl refrain from doing something like that at the very first time and it takes them like ages of lusting to finally follow their impulses!

“Uh, are you sure?” Willow asked nervously. Things were moving fast between them. Too fast? No, never. Their hearts were telling them what to do, and they liked it.



“Yeah, I mean, we don’t have to, y’know, do anything. I just want to fall asleep next to you.” Tara answered.



Willow smiled hugely. “Great. Do you have anything I could sleep in?” She asked.



Tara nodded and handed her a pair of pyjamas. They changed into their night clothes and got into bed. They were both still nervous, so they stayed quite far away from each other.



Willow made the first move. She turned onto her side and put her arm over Tara’s waist. Tara snuggled into her and put her arms around Willow. They lay happily in silence for a few more minutes until Tara spoke.





“Willow, I told my mom about us, that we kissed. That’s okay right?” She asked.



Willow smiled and snuggled deeper, “Yes, it’s great. I haven’t told my mom yet, but I will tomorrow. Do you think you could come with me?” She asked nervously.



“Sure sweetie, whatever you want.” Tara answered.



“Do you maybe want to hang out with me, Buffy and Xander tomorrow, as my girlfriend?” Willow asked.



Tara had never felt so happy in her life. She wanted nothing more than to be Willow’s girlfriend. Things were moving really fast, but they felt so right. Everything felt right when she was with Willow.



“I’d love to hang out with them…and I’d love to be your girlfriend.” She said honestly.

Willow sat up and kissed her. It was a soft, gentle kiss. They pulled apart and gazed into each other’s eyes.



“Mmm. This is nice.” Tara said.



Willow suddenly felt a lot braver. She stroked Tara’s cheek.



“I think I know a way to make it better.” She said as she pushed her lips back onto Tara’s.

They kissed for a few more minutes and Tara pulled back





“Willow, stop.” She said.



“What’s wrong, are you okay?” Willow asked worriedly.



Tara nodded, “I’m fine, I just-”



“Don’t you want this?” Willow asked nervously.



“No, I do. But I don’t want it to be after our first date. You’re special Willow, really special. I want to get to know you first. When it happens, I don’t want it to be just because we want it to; I want it to be because we both need it to happen. Does that make any sense?” Tara asked.



Willow smiled; Tara was just too adorable for words.



“It does. I want to wait too. I want it to be perfect.” She said.



She kissed Tara one more time, then lay back down and snuggled into her new girlfriend.

Tara had been watching Willow sleep for ten minutes before the red-head began to wake up.



“Hey you.” Tara said as she leaned forward and kissed Willow’s forehead.



“Mmn, Hey.” Willow replied.



“Did you sleep okay?” Tara asked lovingly.



Willow nodded, “I think it was the best night’s sleep I’ve ever had. I felt so safe next to you, like the rest of the world didn’t exist.” She said. She knew that she might be saying things she shouldn’t because she had only met Tara again the day before, but the blond girl made Willow happier than she and ever been before.





“I felt the same way.” Tara said honestly.



They lay together in silence for a few more minutes until Tara spoke.



“Will, what exactly are you going to say to your mom?” She asked.



Willow sighed, “I’m just gonna tell her that I’ve met someone who makes me happier than I’ve ever felt before. And if she can’t accept that, then it’s her problem not ours.” She replied.





Tara smiled, “so when do you wanna go and tell her?”



“Whenever you want, I’m not scared to tell her. As long as you’re with me, I’m not scared of anything.

“Sweetie, you ready to go?” Tara asked.



Willow nodded from where she was seated on Tara’s bed, but made no move to get up.



Tara finished putting on her shoes and looked up at her new girlfriend.



“What’s wrong honey?” She asked.



Willow sighed, “It’s nothing.” She answered.



Tara moved over and sat beside Willow.



“It must be something. And even if it isn’t, seeing you unhappy makes me unhappy. So I think you should just tell me.” Tara said, smiling.



Willow smiled back at her.



“It’s just that…I don’t think I can tell my mom Tara. It’s not that I’m ashamed or anything, I swear, it’s just that, my mom freaked out when she found out I was dating a musician, so I don’t know what she’s gonna say when I tell her about us.”



Tara leaned forward and kissed Willow gently.



“If she did have a problem with us being together, would that change your feelings for me?” Tara asked.



“No, no of course not!” Willow answered.



Tara smiled and kissed her again.



“Ok, how about we wait a while before we tell your mom, and instead tell your friends, how does that sound?” She asked.



“Great, you’re the best girlfriend ever.” Willow said as she kissed Tara.

Xander, Anya and Buffy were all gathered together round a table in the ‘Espresso Pump’.



“So, what do you think this big news that Willow has to tell us is?” Xander asked.



“I don’t know, but whatever it is it must be important.” Buffy answered.



“There she is.” Anya said as she saw Willow walk towards them with a blonde girl.



“Hey guys” Willow said as she approached the table.



“Hey, so what’s this big news then? And who’s your friend?” Xander asked.



Willow turned to Tara, “Guys, this is Tara. She’s my girlfriend.



“Girlfriend? Since when?” Buffy asked.



“Since yesterday.” Willow replied.



She turned back to her girlfriend.



“Sweetie, this is Xander, Anya and Buffy.”



Tara raised her hand up and waved, “hey”, she said shyly.



They all smiled back at her.



“So, when did you two meet?” Anya asked.



“Well, we actually met when we were kids, but we met up again yesterday.” Willow said.



“Wow, that’s great Will, I’m happy for you guys.” Buffy said honestly.



“Me too.” Xander added, and Anya nodded her head in agreement.



Willow and Tara sat down on the empty chairs at the table.



“Thanks guys, I just hope my mom is as understanding as you.”
