Okay! Here we go!:party
Tara woke with a start when the alarm set off, rolling over to her side, she put the pillow over head wishing to drown out the dreadful sound of the clock. Giving up, she rolled over again and turned it off and pulled her up to a sitting position. Slowly rubbing out the sleep from her eyes, she glanced out the window to see it was pouring down. Tara sighed. Right. School. Me go. Me go first day of school. Watch me jump of excitement of the rain and thunder to start the year. Yay. Goddess..
Tara sighed again and got off the bed to get dressed and start the day. After have gotten dressed in her black, long sleeved sweater and her dark skirt, brushed her teeth and hair, she was off to go. As soon she got to the top of the stairs, she could smell the sweet aroma of her father's pancakes.
Rushing down, she was met with a plate stacked with yummy luscious pancakes. Tara kissed her father on the cheek. "Thanks dad, these look great." Tara's dad smiled. "Thank you princess. Now eat up, you're going to be late." Tara threw her hand up and saluted her dad. "Sir, yes, sir!" Tara's father laughed as Tara took a seat at the kitchen table. "Sooo, where's Donny?" Tara asked with her mouth full of pancakes. "Your brother went to school early to meet up someone, I don't know who. Maybe some girl he met over the summer."Tara's father smiled as he put a glass of juice in front of Tara.
"Okay, so where's mom then?" Tara asked again, Tara's father sighed. "Your mother is away on a business trip again and should be home in a few days or so." Tara looked down and picked slightly on her food. "Oh.." Disappointment covered Tara's face. "But, she'll be home soon right?" Tara looked hopeful as she looked at her father. He leaned over the table and kissed Tara lightly on the forehead. "Yes, sweetie. She'll be home soon, I promise. Now eat up, we got to get you to your new school." He smiled. Tara grimaced slightly and finished off her food.
15 minutes later they both sat in the car ready to drive down to Sunnydale High. While he drove, Tara's father tried to make small talk like Tara's mother used to. "So.. you're nervous? First day after all, new school, new people. Pretty exciting, huh?" Tara looked at her father with pleading look. "Please, dad, you're not making it better." He shook his head in apologize. "Sorry, sorry. I'm just trying to help." He said in a sorry tone on his voice. Tara shook her head. "I know... I'm kinda scared. New school after all."
"It's going to be fine princess. Just go with the flow." Tara's father looked lovingly at her as Tara giggled at her father's choice of word. "But isn't it exciting anyways? I mean, new school! This is fun!" Tara laughed at her father's childish enthusiasm. "Is it me or you that's going?" Tara shot her father a playful look. "Well I'm sorry, it's just that you're 16, my daughter is 16 and it's so much fun. There's so much things that you're going to experience, do and that's so cool." He was practically hopping out of his seat.
"Hey! How about some music?" He turned on the radio and browsed through the channel until he found rock classic. Tara watched her father in amusement as he drummed his fingers lightly against the steering wheel.
About 10 minuets later he pulled up the car in front the school and turned off the engine. He looked sideways to his daughter where she was looking out the window. "Okay, we're here kiddo. You ready?" Tara sighed and looked at her father. "I guess." She smiled lightly. Tara's father reached in to the back of the car, searching for something.
"Well, just for protection, I brought you this." Thinking it was a knife and that her father has gotten completely insane, 'cause that would explain his behavior from before, Tara was very surprised when he pulled up an umbrella. "This is for you so you don't get wet" Tara laughed slightly. "Thanks dad, but no, I'll just run. It's to big to fit in my locker anyways and the entrance is just right there so it's not far. I'll be okay." Tara smiled at her father before giving him a hug. "Okay then. Have fun princess." He smiled back at his daughter. "Thanks dad. Drive safe."
Tara leaned over and kissed her father on the cheek, before opening the car door. "I always do." Tara's father replied then started the engine. Tara gave her father one last smile before running out in the rain. Tara's father watched his little angel run in to the school then drove off.
Tara slowly walked through the corridors of Sunnydale High, taking in the all that's new and kind of scary. Since she wasn't very popular at her old school, her hopes of being accepted at this wasn't very high. She would be happy if she could get through this year without drawing any unnecessary attention to herself. The school was a rush. Hormone driven boys, judging, superficial girls looking at Tara's way. Tara felt cramped and dizzy. Ugh.. I hate this part! She went to find her locker, but her mission failed when she felt her being pushed forward to one of the unknown classrooms.
After a while she managed to get away from the crowd and on the way to her new locker. When she got there she quickly wrote down her number on her hand to remember it. Okay. At least now I know where my locker is. Way to go Maclay. She took out her schedule to look what her first class was. Oh, great. Math. Yay me. The second bell rang loudly to remind her that she would get to class fast if she knew what was good for her. She quickly packed away her schedule and proceeded to her first class in a hurry.
Lost in her own thoughts, she didn't notice where she was going and that she was just about to collide with a rushing redhead. Their body's crashed, and fell to the ground with the rest of their stuff. The redhead scrambled to her knees and started to collect her pencils and books, Tara got up to the redhead to help her.
"I-i am s-so s-s-sor-ry. I d-din't se." Tara stammered while she was helping the redhead. Willow sighed. "No, that's okay. I wasn't paying attention where I was going because of the rushing and the being late issue. NOT that it was your fault for my latitude! I mean, I was helping someone with their homework, no that's a lie, you can say that I was doing someone's homework 'cause the person's just dumb and doesn't get history, and what are you gonna do? Just sit the whole day and try to explain it? No, thanks! Anyways, time just flew by and the next thing you know-" Willow stopped mid-through when she felt a hand covering hers.
She lifted her head up and looked at the c/o victim for the first time. My god.. Willow couldn't think straight, she was captivated by the beauty in front her. Her beautiful, long blonde hair that flowed and covered the most of her face, but even through the thick curtain of hair, she was abel to se her soft, sharp cheekbones, her smooth skin, her cute nose that she wanted to nuzzle right there and her sapphire eyes witch held such intense gaze that Willow almost forgot to breath. Tara ducked and blushed by the attention she was getting.
Aware that she was practically drooling over the girl and that the girl was probably pretty freaked out. Say something you idiot! You're scaring her away! Willow open her mouth to try to get some words out "Uhh... ehh... w-weell... I-i-i... uhh.." Willow laughed nervously and smiled stupidly. Come on Willow! For just a few second ago you were babbling like an idiot and now you're suddenly out of words? She took a deep breath and tried again. "Uhh.... he.. don't you just love the weather?" Willow asked. Oh my god! What the HELL was that?!
Tara smiled and looked out the window, it was still pouring down rain. She's so cute Tara thought as she flashed a looped smile at Willow, who seemed to melt at the sight of it. "Hi, I'm Willow and I will be your geek today." Willow said and stuck her hand out. Tara smiled "T-t-tara, Ta-ara Maclay." She slowly took Willow's hand hand squeezed lightly, both girls smiled at the contact and how it made them both tingly.
"So, are you new? 'Cause I haven't seen you around here and I think I would have remembered you." Said Willow who was still a little captivated by Tara. Tara smiled and ducked her head. "Y-yeah. I j-just m-moved fr-rom Oh-hio." Goddess. Why do I have to stutter? I sound like an idiot! Tara thought and blushed at her stutter. Willow smiled back at Tara. "Ohio, yeah? That's cool." Willow said with kindness. Tara nodded and kept hiding under her hair.
Why does she do that? Willow thought. Willow brought up a hand to Tara's face and brushed it away and lifted her chin up with two fingers. "Don't hide." Willow smiled lovingly at Tara who stared in amazement at Willow. Willow gently leaned towards Tara, and stopped when she was just inches from Tara's lips. Tara could feel Willow's breath, tickling her lips and closed her eyes. Willow wetted her lips, closed her eyes and gently captured Tara's soft lips with her own.
"Uhh... W-w-willow?" Willow snapped out of her day dream and stared at Tara. "W-what?" Willow looked down at their hands and noticed that Willow was still holding Tara's hand. She quickly dropped Tara's hand. "Oh, I'm sorry. I got lost there for a second." Tara blushed and ducked. "N-no, th-hat's ok-k-kay." Willow smiled again witch se found out that she has been doing often the last minuets. "Well, you're new so you will probably need some book. Here, I'll show you to the library. You can meet Giles!" Willow squealed. She offered her hand to Tara witch Tara gladly took. Willow helped up Tara with a huge smile on her face and started to lead Tara the way to the library.
Beautiful.
