Willow and Tara Forever.
~*~*~*~*~*~
“Xander, hurry up!” Willow shouted at her best friend.
Xander sighed from where he was standing at the counter putting the icing on Tara’s cake.
“What’s the hurry Will? Tara’s not due home for another hour.” He said.
“She might come back early Xand, she’s done it before.” Willow said.
Willow walked back into the living room of her and Tara’s newly bought house. She saw Buffy and Dawn putting the finishing touches on the decorations and smiled.
She couldn’t wait to see her fiancé. One week was just too long for them to be apart. She felt like a part of her was physically missing.
Today was different from any other of Tara’s homecomings, because today was Tara’s birthday.
Willow had spoken to Tara on the phone the night before. She had lied to Tara by telling her that the two of them would celebrate Tara’s birthday with a quiet, romantic meal. But really, the scoobies had planned a surprise ‘Happy Birthday’ and ‘Welcome Home’ party for Tara. Willow also had another surprise for Tara, but that was for later.
“Willow, she’s here!” Dawn shouted as she saw Tara pull up in the driveway.
Willow smiled and checked her outfit one more time before joining her friends in the living room.
Tara opened the front door and put her briefcase down. She rubbed her eyes tiredly and took off her jacket.
“Will?” She shouted. She got no response and sighed; all she wanted to do was kiss her gorgeous fiancé.
She turned and walked into the living room. She nearly jumped out of her skin when all of the scoobies shouted ‘Surprise!’ at her at the same time.
She smiled hugely as she looked around the room. It was decorated with balloons and banners. There was food laid out, and there were presents everywhere.
But right in the middle of the room was the greatest sight that Tara could have ever imagined; Willow.
Tara walked towards her lover and put her arms around her waist. She didn’t think it was possible, but Willow was even sexier then when Tara had left.
Willow looked deep into Tara’s eyes.
“Hey You.” Willow said simply.
Tara couldn’t wait any longer. She pulled Willow even tighter against her body and kissed her passionately.
Their mouths opened and their tongues came out to play. They knew they should stop so Tara could say hello to everyone, but they couldn’t.
Willow eventually pulled back but stayed so close to Tara that their lips were almost kissing.
“I missed you baby.” Willow said quietly.
“Oh God Will, I missed you so much!” Tara replied.
Willow smiled and kissed Tara again lightly.
“Happy birthday sweetie.” She said as she pulled back.
“Thank you.” Tara answered.
Willow took Tara’s hand and they walked over to their friends.
“Finally decided to step out of you love bubble huh?” Anya asked sarcastically. She was slightly jealous that Xander never showed her affection like that in public.
Willow and Tara just smiled at each other, losing themselves in each other’s eyes.
“Happy birthday Tara.” Dawn said as she walked forward and hugged Tara.
“Thanks sweetie.” Tara said as she pulled back.
“Welcome home Tara.” Buffy said as she also stepped forward and hugged her friend.
“Tara, happy birthday. Personally, I thought we should have told you about the party before you came home. But Willow said that some lies, such as those involving birthday celebrations, were ok, so-”
“Anya, please. We’ve had this conversation too many times.” Willow said, cutting the ex-demon off.
Anya sighed, “Fine. Welcome home Tara, I missed you.” She said.
Tara smiled and thanked her.
Xander stood up and said, “So birthday girl, let’s start opening your presents.”
~*~*~*~*~*~
Willow and Tara were finally alone. They were sitting kissing on the swing seat on the back porch.
“Mmn, God, I almost forgot hat an amazing kisser you are.” Willow said as she pulled back.
“No-where near as amazing as you love.” Tara said honestly.
“I missed you.” Willow said.
“I missed you too darling. I can’t leave again…a week is just too long.” Tara said.
“That’s what you said last time you came home.” Willow said playfully.
Tara pulled back slightly.
“I mean it Willow. I can’t stand spending time away from you. I love you.” She said seriously.
Willow leaned in and kissed Tara gently.
“I love you too.” She said as she pulled back.
Willow took an envelope out of her pocket.
“I was gonna wait and give you this after everyone had left, but…here.” Willow said as she handed Tara the envelope.
“What’s this?” Tara asked as she took the envelope.
“It’s your present.” Willow answered.
“Baby…you’ve given me so much already.” Tara said.
“Well, actually, it’s kinda for both of us. Open it.” Willow said.
Tara opened it and saw that inside there was an invitation. She read it out loud;
“You are invited to witness the marriage of Willow Rosenberg and Tara Maclay on Saturday, 25th of December, 2004.”
Tara felt tears spring to her eyes.
“Where?” She asked.
"What?” Willow asked.
“Where will we get married?” Tara asked.
Willow smiled hugely.
“Are you sure you want to baby? I mean, it’s up to you. It is only two months away and maybe I should have talked to you about it first-”
Tara silenced Willow with a loving kiss.
“I want to marry you as soon as possible Willow.”
To Be Continued.
